[One-Shot]

"Kiss me." Was what Knives Chau asked of her boyfriend. They'd been dating for a while now and even held hands quite a bit, but never actually experienced full-on lip-to-lip contact. At first Scott was a little surprised by such a bold request considering their situation in the public eye, with him being twenty-three to her seventeen. They weren't even really dating... or were they? Scott honestly wasn't sure. Knives seemed to think so and so did everyone else they associated with.

After giving it some much needed thought and trying to go over the potential consequences in his head, Scott shrugged and figured; "Oh, what the hell."

Within the privacy of Julie Powers house, away from the prying eyes of the party she was throwing, the pair snuck upstairs into her bedroom and finally shared a kiss. It was... incredible. Never before had either of them felt electricity course through them like that. Their lips were tingling from the experience and there were these sparks. Sparks everywhere. Glittering multicolored lights that shown brightly around them as they sat in the other's warm embrace.

The slowly pulled away as the last of the sparks faded and contemplated what they'd just done. Scott knew his relationship with Knives was scummy, but by giving her what she wanted he'd crossed a line he could never uncross. She on the other hand was blushing like a ripened tomato as one of her dreams had just come true. She kissed Scott Pilgrim, and it was everything she thought it would be and then some. Why else would there have been sparks.

"There were sparks." He said stating the obvious.

"I know." knives acknowledged. "Wanna make more?"

Did he want to make more? He tapped his chin. The kiss did feel nice, no one actually saw them do it, and the bedroom door was locked. A small smile graced his face, and he held his girlfriend just a little bit closer. "Why not."

She snaked her arms around his neck and the two shared their second kiss together in the privacy of another friend's house. The sparks returned in full force a tad bit brighter and a lot more plentiful. The feeling of closeness and tenderness had the two of them on cloud nine. Scott figured that Wallace was right, Knives really was his actual girlfriend. It wasn't a maybe... kind of... sort of thing. They were a real couple.

The pair eventually broke apart again and this time Scott took Knives' hands in his. "So, uh... do you wanna maybe get out of here and go out?"

"I'd love to!" Knives answered quickly. Her heart was beating so fast she thought it might actually burst out of her chest like a Jack-in-the-box.

"Great! Let's go!" Scott smiled as he held her out of the room. Once they reached the hall the loud music from downstairs was once again blaring and the sight of buzzed and wasted people filled their vision. None of it seemed to matter though as they had other things on the brain besides cheap booze and Solo cups. They were going out and going to have a good time. They grabbed their coats off the rack and ventured out into the night.

As they left the owner of the house felt whatever minor annoyance she felt slowly start to ebb away. Scott wasn't invited to her party but apparently his excuse for being present was that he was a plus one. She really didn't like that but let him stay for his Knives and his bandmates sake. Sometimes she was just too nice for her own good. Seriously someone should reward her for all the BS she has to deal with on a daily basis.

"Good riddance." She muttered under breath.

"I take it that was Scott." Another voice chimed in.

"Yeah. That was him" Julie answered. She turned her head to see her friend Ramona taking a sip of whatever was in her cup. "He finally decided to go take a hike."

"And who was the girl with him?" She asked, curious about who left with the guy that seemed to really get under her friend Julie's skin like no other.

Julie crossed her arms. "That's just Knives, his seventeen-year-old girlfriend."

That little bit of spicy information caused Ramona to spit out her drink. "What?!"

Julie couldn't help but smirk at Ramona's reaction. Anyone with any sense or morals would react in the same way. Scott was in a relationship with a high schooler, and it was scummy as all hell. Sometimes she wonders why she doesn't just report him to the proper authorities. "It's a long story. Do you want the long or short of it?"

Ramona wasn't sure if she wanted the story at all, but the way Julie made it sound made her want to know more. "Long version. Should I be sitting down for this?"

"I would." Julie simply stated. Ramona did just that and so began the long and embarrassing story of the kind of... sort of... maybe couple.

Meanwhile on the other side of town at the arcade. Scott and Knives were going head-to-head in a very intense game of Dance Dance Revolution. The night was young and so were they. The goal was to play every single game they could before closing time. So far, they've gotten threw a few and still had a good chunk to go. The whole time however, they never forgot the kiss they shared or the feeling deep down inside that told them this was for real.

"You ready to give up yet?" Scott smiled.

"Not even close." His date smiled back.

"So be it." He said confidently. The small pause in the song was over, and now the challenge would continue anew. "Get ready!"

Knives nodded and felt the rush of adrenaline coursing through her veins. The game would begin again in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...

THE END!
