A compound on the outskirts of the village had always been a mystery to the few ninja who knew of it. It was built following the attack of the Kyubi 12 years ago. It was normally guarded by two teams of Jounin around the clock on 12 hour shifts but today it was different. The compound's only resident was to leave and go out into the village for the first time in months.
Naruto was the Jinchuriki of the nine tails, a fact only a handful of people other than him were aware of. Only the Hokage, his guards and his trainers knew of him or his burden. That would soon include a few more people he was being assigned to a team for the first time. Naruto, Danzo and the Hokage had planned this for years. How do you form a team around a Jinchuriki? The village hidden by the clouds put them into a partnership with a Jounin at Naruto's age. The hidden stones Jinchuriki were recluses who rarely took missions, the Mizukage worked alone and the mist villages other Jinchuriki was a rogue ninja. Fuu of the waterfall village worked alone as a village guardian. Lastly came Gaara of the Sand who like all previous one tailed containers was insane rendering teamwork a difficult proposition even with his siblings.
With much planning Danzo and the Hokage came up with a plan the team was to be built around supporting Naruto. The Hokage wanted Yamato to lead the team as a Mokton user; he was one of the few who had any hope of preventing mishaps other than one of the few Uchiha left. Danzo, ever the pragmatic, wanted an Uchiha namely Sasuke the only one Naruto's age. Danzo hoped to someday recreate the combination of Madara and the kyubi for the leaf village.
The third genin was a problem as none in the class had a hope of keeping up with Naruto. However, rapid communication with this team would be a great benefit in the future so Ino Yakama was chosen for the mental abilities of her clan.
Naruto left his compound and went too the training field where he was told to meet his new team. Walking through the village was something he rarely did due to his existence being a secret. He was meeting them at a training field rather than the academy because he was a secret. He wondered how long the old men would plan on hiding him. The other villages surely knew that Konoha was in possession of a Jinchuriki even if they didnt know who it was.
He arrived at the Field to see his three new teammates sitting and waiting for him.
Yamato was already talking to them
"Here he is your third teammate, Hello Naruto-san"
"Hello Yamato-sensei"
"Now that we are all here it is time for introductions. How about you start Ino chan"
Ino was a cute blond girl with a purple tunic and skirt on. She had a bright smile and sat up straight "I am Ino Yakama I like flowers gossip. I don't like mean people and waiting"
Sasuke was next a dark haired boy with classic Uchiha looks 'Just like Itachi and Shusui' thought Naruto "I am Sasuke Uchiha I like tomatoes and my family, I dislike strawberries and cousin Shusui.
Naruto went last. His two teammates stared at him in anticipation they had no idea who he was.
He paused for a moment "I am Nauto Uzumaki and I like meeting new people, I dislike being alone and your cousin Shusui too" laughed Naruto " He keeps steeling my ramen and disappearing"
'So thats where he is getting it' thought Sasuke
"Alright since you all know each other now we can proceed with our test to see if you are ready to be a team, Your task is to take this scroll from me"
Before Ino or Sasuke even stood up Naruto had grabbed there shoulders and the three disappeared from Yamato's sight.
Appearing in a clearing not to far from yamato's position the Ino and Sasuke turned on Naruto in surprise.
"I told you i know Shusui" said a smirking Naruto "we needed a little space he is a Jounin, none of us can take him on in close combat from that position"
"Sasuke-san, can you activate your Sharingan? I want to know about any changes in his Chakra. We should still be close enough for you to see him."
Sasuke smirked and his eyes turned to the two tomoe Sharingan "i see him he is standing still right where we left him"
"Good that means he probably won't go on the offensive." said Naruto
"So should we attack?" asked Ino
"Not yet let me gauge his strength and if you see an opening then you should attack from a distance with shuriken" said Naruto
"He is a Jounin are you sure he wont take you out right away?" asked Sasuke
"Dont worry just wait for the opening, now you two should spread out and flank him" said Naruto
Ino and Sasuke took off in opposite directions through the trees trying there best to keep there presence hidden from Yamato. Meanwhile Naruto closed his eyes and focused. Soon red chakra was bubbling from his skin forming a thick cloak with one tail swaying behind him he opened his now red slitted eyes and charged toward Yamato's position.
Yamato stood in the clearing waiting on what he knew was coming. Naruto's cloaked charge. He felt the chakra before naruto burst into the clearing going straight for Yamato.
"Doton: Doryuuheki" spiting out mud that rapidly grew into a large wall to guard himself Yamato. Naruto slammed straight through the wall with one punch only for yamato to have disappeared
'What incredible power. What is that chakra' thought Sasuke and Ino at the sametime.
'As expected of a Jinchuriki overwhelming power right from the start. I will have to be careful not to get hit with a punch like that.' thought Yamato from underground 'lets see how he deals with this.
Naruto stood among the rubble of the mud wall when he heard 'Doton: Shinjū Zanshu no Jutsu' grabbing Naruto by the ankles and trying to pull him under. Naruto raised his hands and the arms of the chakra cloak shot into the air and grabbed a tree branch. There was a moment of struggle then the branch broke and naruto was pulled into the ground up to his neck.
Yamato appeared in front of him to gloat. "Looks like your in over your head Naruto"
"You know this wont hold me long" growled Naruto his cloak still going strong. Then suddenly they both heard 'Katon: Gokakyu no jutsu' a large fire ball engulfed them both only to leave behind a burnt log and a unharmed Naruto. Sasuke appeared a moment later "You look like you could use a hand" he smirked Naruto laughed "I do but not to get out of this" the earth shook and Naruto burst out of the ground in a shower of dirt and small stones.
"I have a plan lets regroup with Ino" said Sasuke Naruto nodded as his Chakra cloak vanished. "That was some chakra" remarked sasuke. "I will tell you about it later" said Naruto as they both sped off towards Ino.
The three gathered in a tree overlooking the damaged ground from Yamato's earth style
Sasuke spoke first "I watched the whole exchange with my sharingan and since even with all of that chakra you couldn't get a clean hit naruto. So our only hope of getting the scroll is the mind transfer jutsu."
"But Sasuke-kun that jutsu is too slow to get him, it takes too long" said Ino "yes from what I know you are right but if we can keep him in one place for a few seconds it should work. I will use a genjutsu to hold him in place while you do the mind transfer" answered Sasuke
"Alright so i will flush him out and force him towards you and Ino's position" said Naruto
Naruto jumped down from the tree and walked toward where he and Yamato last fought to see Yamato standing there waiting for him.
"Your not going to use the cloak again?" asked Yamato
"No but this should be just as effective" forming a cross shaped sign 'Kage Bunshin no Jutsu' twenty clones appeared in a line and all started making handsigns 'i hope you dodge this' he thought
'Futon: Shinkugyoku' each clone started firing a series of small vacuum spheres
Yamato doged in with a series of backflips straight toward the waiting Sasuke and Ino.
Sasuke caught Yamato in a quick Genjutsu from point blank range "Ino, NOW!"
'Shintenshin no Jutsu' Inos body went limp as she possessed Yamato. Struggling for a moment, she reached into his pouch and took out the scroll throwing it to the ground near Sasuke.
"Looks like we win" said Naruto
"Indeed you all pass" said Yamato as the mind body switch technique was released. He turned toward Ino and Sasuke. "You two are to report to the compound on the outskirts of the village tonight at 2200 hours be ready for a briefing and pack for a long trip. Dismissed"
After Sasuke and Ino left slightly confused Naruto spoke up. "You do know they have no way of finding my house right?"
"Yes, the Hokage is sending some operatives to pick them up for the briefing. I hope you are ready for some house guests. Naruto."
