We find Daal as a 22 year old young adult woman flying through hyperspace in her own starship that is shaped like a red and silver flower from above and below with wings
that unfurl similar to a butterflies. She is returning to where her journey began. The same world where she and her friends slaved away in a children's workhouse. She tells
herself, "There are worst places and lives to have lived. Why did I not listen to Bay?"
In flashbacks she remembers the time she found the pendant shaped communicator she used to speak with the Sith Mother. Then when she and her friends Baython, Quinn,
and Keena stole speeders to go to Screechers Reach. When she confronted the ghost woman with the red bladed light saber. How through the force she pulled a rock down on
top of the ghost to discover she was a real person. Insane of course, but a living person. How as the ghost lady tried to pull back her lightsaber from Daal. Daal then ignited it
and killed her with it.
Then remembering the look of hurt on her friends faces as she left with the Sith mother to what she believed would be a new life as the doors closed behind her and her
youthful face vanished.
Back in the present Daal leaves the cockpit and goes down the short hall to her training dojo room where she fights holograms and training saber wielding HK assassin droid's
that have been modified for training purposes. Igniting her own purple lightsabers. She slashes and sweeps as she has another flashback to when her training began on the
Sith Empires capital world of Dromund Kass.
Where she learns that the Sith Mother is a member of the Dark Council and how she was called out to a sith duel in the council chamber by another Sith Lord. For which she
won swiftly and had the vanquished Sith Lords body removed and chucked into an incinerator.
Remembering as her training began. With both her and the Sith Mother igniting their sabers. Daal slashing and always falling short. With the sith mother telling her, "You have
no technique." Daal trying again only to be force choked and held in mid-air by the Sith Mother. "Sloppy!" Then bringing Daals lightsaber to herself and crossing both hers and
Daals at her neck. "With proper training you can become a powerful acolyte and a powerful warrior. You do have a natural talent, but we must hone and refine it. Are you
ready to put yourself up for the task?" Daal, "Yes, Master." SM, "Master?" Daal reluctantly corrects herself as then says, "Mother." SM, "That's right my child apprentice."
Daal in the present getting more intense as she slashes at the electro staffs of the droids. Remembering when she found hatred as she saw how the Empire exploited people
and enslaved them. Even the children. Leaving them to labor in terrible conditions as bad if not worse than the conditions she lived in. This makes her scream and begin
bringing down the abandoned places where they happened. Burrying the remains of those who died there deeper. Discovering what it means to hate.
She slashes at another droid that blocks her attack as she then remembers the Sith Mother teaching her the Sith code. "Always remember this my apprentice. The code we
live by that gives true strength. Like the strength you discovered when you claimed your lightsaber. Peace is a lie. There is only passion. Through passion I gain strength.
Through strength I gain power. Through power victory. My chains are broken and the force shall set me free."
Then she remembers the other lesson the Sith Mother told her. "As you grow you will come to know that you must always be suspicious of all around you. For our greatest art
is deception and make no mistake. If you are in the way of another Sith's passions, pursuits, and endeavors. They will seek to kill you in the hope of obtaining greater power
over their fellow sith. So you must never let down your guard. Nor forget the key discipline of the empire. The weak are but meat that the strong shall eat. Understand?"
Daal, "Yes Mother."
In her present a droid knocks out one of her sabers and shocks her with the staff. She winces in pain as she remembers when she was in her later years. The Sith mother
brought her outside to mini obelisk in a courtyard in front of her residence. "You must strengthen your connection to the Force. Like a muscle the more you train it. The more
you will get used to it and longer you will be able to use it. Feel its power flowing in, through, and out of yourself." The Sith Mother makes all of the 20 obelisk float in the air
with-out straining herself. "Now, lift them." She tells Daal. Daal reaches out and begins to lift two of them. SM, "Concentrate." Daal is really straining as she tries to lift the
stones. Only to loose it and collapses and allows the obelisk fall. "What you ask is impossible." SM, "Impossible? A task is only impossible if you deem it so. You must dig deep
to find your strength apprentice. You must connect with your HATRED!" She says as she electrocutes Daal with blue Force Lightning which makes her scream in pain. The Sith
Mother walks around her as she continues, while Daal in the present gets shocked by her droids, "Had you been truly attuned to the force you would be able to sense my
intent and anticipate my attack. Focus on your power building. Do not be concerned with anyone or anything else." In the past and present she is shocked again. SM, "That's
it. Your anger gives you strength." Daal, "I… I hate you." SM, "Good," she says as she shocks her again while in the present Daal stops all four droids and force lifts them into
the air as she does with the obelisk stones in her past while the Sith Mother continues to shock her. Able to lift the stones 20 ft. in the air. Dropping them as she then asks as
the last of the electric arcs from the force lightning fade, "How does one defend against such power?" In her gentle tone the Sith Mother replies, "A wise master and a good
mother never reveals all their secrets at once. But you shall learn in time, my apprentice." While in the present Daal then uses force lightning on the droids. Thus disabling
them. The droids begin repairing one another As one says, "Excellent master. Another successful training battle." She responds, "True but there is also always room for
improvement somewhere. Thank you all for the training."
She goes to her chambers where she begins to meditate and heal herself. As she further remembers all the missions she went on for the Sith Empire. Battling republic forces
and Jedi. She even managed to slay two masters and a mon calamari padawan. The Sith Mother praising her for her success. Giving her the title Darth Nissak. Her lightsaber
being destroyed in battle and having to create a new one that can split into two. This time choosing to use purple kyber crystals. She continues to serve and fight for the
empire faithfully. Until the day she fought another padawan and when she did. The child had a face similar to hers. Making her pause and allowed the padawan to escape.
Only to watch the girl be cut down by the Sith Mother right in front of wakes up with a sweat. Her eyes changing from red back to hazel. As she realizes how that could've
been her and how remorseless the Sith Mother really was.
She hears baby crying nearby and goes to the source to find two red skinned infants. One a boy with hazel eyes. Boney spurs on the sides of his head and two long face
tendrils going down from his cheek bones. The other a girl with a face and hair similar to Daals but with ruby red skin. Boney spurs on the sides of her head on her eye line
and two smaller ones on her chin. With rose red eyes. She picks them both up and begins singing a lullaby to them that sends them both back to peaceful sleep. Her look of
joy turns to sorrow as she remembers how she was placed into an arranged marriage with another dark council member's son. Whom she consented just to stay on good
terms with Sith Mother. They were joined for one night and afterwards she realized that there was no love from him and that he could be just as cruel and remorseless as his
father. So she ran away in a Sith ship. But not before killing the Sith Lords son she had been with by impaling him on her lightsabers. Ditching the ship and buying a new ship
with the hope of not being tracked. Later modifying it to suit her needs.
Nine months later giving birth to her twins for whom she promised to them, "You will never know cruelty or oppression. I will give you two the life you need. Free of evil and
corrupt governments. I will take us to a place where you will know peace. Though why the force compels me to return to the world I wanted to leave for so long. I don't know.
Though consider this my first lesson. Trust in the force always, and rely not on your own understanding. As I should've."
"In the present she and her children are sleeping as the ship rest where it sits in the middle of a grassy field with three full moons and the large gas giant planet in the night
sky. It is the planet that she came from.
A light then appears in the sky and begins setting down as the shape of the Sith Mothers ship becomes visible. Settling nearby and Daal awakening as she senses the familiar
presence of her former master. She kisses her childrens foreheads and grabs her lightsabers while the Sith Mother exits her ship and ignites her lightsaber. Daal exiting her
ship to face her.
"Why have you come?" Daal asks the Sith Mother. SM, "Why do you ask questions you already know the answer to." Daal defiantly states, "I will never go back." SM, "Yet
here you are. You will either die on this backwater where I found you and you willing came with me all those years ago, or you replace me as Sith Mother. This is only way
forward." Daal in response, "All you ever taught me was the importance of power. Never what makes life precious? So I found my own way." The
Sith Mother stomps on a flower and makes the grass burn from her lightsaber as she asserts, "And what way is that? Why come back to same world you so desperately
wanted to flee. Could it be you have found a purpose here. Are you protecting something?" Daal getting more anxious and then angry as the Sith Mother says, "No, you are
protecting someone."
Daal ignites her sabers and they begin their duel. Daal blocking every attack, but the Sith Mother still is able to counter her. Then the Sith Mother grabs Daal with the Force
and chokes her as she says, "You were a good apprentice, but you have allowed the weakness to return to you." Throwing her into the side of a rock face. Daal regains her
footing and tries to gain the high ground, but the Sith mother manages to leap over her and block Daal's lightsabers from slicing her. And then kicks Daal back towards an
open hole in the rocks behind her. In a temporary disoriented state Daal looses her lightsabers and the Sith Mother force pushes her into the pit. Daal gets her sabers back
and reignites them. Only to discover she is back in the cave of Screechers Reach. Stepping back in shock at seeing the skeleton and the decapitated skull of the ghost lady
she killed when she got her first saber. Above the Sith mother taunts, "All things seem to come full circle. This is where your journey began. So it's fitting that it shall end here
as well." She then begins to make the mountain collapse upon Daal as she tries to repel the rocks away, but it gets too much and she is inevitably buried alive.
Looking upon her work the Sith Mother calmly taunts, "I am disappointed how easily you failed. If you failed to be a good apprentice. Perhaps those whom you are protecting
on your ship will succeed where you failed my apprentice.
She turns to leave as Daal upon hearing this is filled with fury and sees one of her sabers change from purple to red, but then tells herself, "Light and darkness are part of the
same whole. Both are a part of me." She calms down and as she reaches out through the force and begins to lift the rocks. Her saber blade turns back to purple.
The Sith Mother is about halfway back to Daals ship when she abruptly stops and turns to see Daal standing proudly defiant behind her. SM, "Perhaps you haven't truly
become weak. Are you ready to finally show me your true power?" Daal ignites her sabers as she says, "Let's find out together." This time Daal is out flanking her while the
Sith Mother is still able to block her sabers. Now she uses dust to temporarily blind her. Then Daal says, "It seems you have forgotten your most important lesson you taught
me. When you're clearly outmatched," she lifts rocks from the mountain she was buried under and brings a look of shock upon the Sith Mother as finishes her statement,
"Cheat." She slams the Sith Mother with a barrage of boulders that the Sith Mother desperately tries to repel. Then while distracted Daal pushes her saber away and shoots
out force lightning towards the Sith Mother. she screams in pain from the lightning. Then she ignites both her sabers and in one slash ends the battle. With the Sith Mother
beginning to fade away to dust as she says, "Congratulations my apprentice. You are now the Sith Master and Mother." Daal then sheaths her sabers as she responds, "I am
the master now, and I am a mother. But I am not, nor will ever be Sith." The mother vanishes and Daal returns to her children with tears of joy.
She then brings them with her on a speeder to find the force has guided her back to where the workhouse she used to live in is gone now. Replaced by a shiney new building
that reads "The Baython Community center.
She is greeted by a green skinned twilek social worker woman who she asks, "Wasn't there a children's workhouse here?" the Twilek social worker gives a little laugh before
replying by telling Daal, "Yeah until it was shut down about nine years ago. When during the war with the Sith Empire this planet joined the republic and the conditions of the
workhouse were brought to the new office of the planets new republic senator got a new law passed and the place shut down permanently. Helping the orphan children that
worked there new families. It wouldn't have been possible if it hadn't been brought to the senators attention by a trio of kids named Quin, Keena, and Baython. The later of
whom is the director here. Whom the center is named after.
Did that answer your question well ma'am?" Daal, "Yes, I guess a lot can change when you've gone as long as i have."
The Social Worker then asks, "Is there anything else I can help you with?" Daal thinks hard before asking, "Are the ones named Baython, Keena, and Quinn here today?"
"Yes," the social worker asks, "Why do you ask? Do you wish to meet them? If so, what should I tell them?" Daal with tears of joy rising in her eyes gently wipes them away
as she responds, "Tell them that their lost friend Daal has returned home." Daal and her children step through the doors as she tells them. "Welcome to a new start, and
perhaps the start of a true better life for all of us. Our new home."
The End
