1. Introduction

(A/N random upload schedule as i sort out everything. just thought i'd try out posting something without knowing what will happen. also the weird formatting is because the original document has the different narrators color coded and i had to think of a way around that limitation here. anyway this should be the last authors note unless something REALLY needs to be clarified. enjoy my brain rot.)

Earth, Year 12. Late Summer, 2015

There was a knock on the door. After peeking out the window, the door was opened and standing out in the rain was a face that seemed familiar somehow.

The girl smiled, but it was like a cat grinning at its prey.

"Something the matter? You look like you think I'll eat you," she laughed. Her golden eyes glittered in the pale afternoon light. "Anyway, I'm here as a favor for Jenna. She's yours, right?"

Their daughter. Where was she? How did this girl know her?

The girl laughed again, something between a cackle and a choking noise, like she wasn't used to it. "First, let me in. It's too fucking hot out here and I'm soaked."
