Hina was excited for tonight's dinner, as she slaved away in her tiny kitchen. Tonight was a special night for her family, her loving husband Ventus was coming back from a long work trip, and her darling angel, Sora, would also return home from the play island. So Hina decided that smoked salmon and potatoes were a good treat for the occasion. Little did she know, things were gonna go differently than she had imagined.

"Hey, Honey! I'm home, and dinner smells good, did ya miss me?" Ven let out stepping into the kitchen of their small two-story apartment, waltzing over to his life and planning a kiss on her lips, playfully grabbing at her ass. Hina could feel her husband's hand, it felt good for a moment before reality set back in, and Hina quickly moved away from Ventus.

"Ven! What if Sora sees you?" Hina said, panicking, as she looked around to make sure Sora wasn't nearby. She knew her husband of twenty- five would be starving for more than her cooking but it felt too soon to embrace her like he was. Besides, she was worried about how Sora would react to seeing his father more hands-on, given the event they had two years ago. It made her wonder if Ven had changed after his extended shift as a teacher. But the look on her Husband's face still looked like the kind, caring man she fell in love with all those years ago.

"Sorry, I guess I was getting a little carried away, it's been so long since I felt you! Ven whispered, as he quickly grabbed an oven mitt from Hina's secret spot from behind the toaster, and pulled the fish out of the oven, making Hina wonder how he knew the fish was done, let alone remembered where she kept her light green mitt after being gone for two years.

"Nice! Salmon and oh you got some Potatoes in the air fryer, what did I do to have you as my wife?" Ven said grinning, as he heard the sounds of footsteps on the pouch, Sora was home and just in time for dinner. The door was quickly pushed open as Hina smiled seeing her boy enter the house, as her messy brown hair brushed against her eyes following Sora. He seemed very tired, making Hina wanna brush off the weird feeling she'd been having all day. Suddenly things started to feel more than a little off, as Sora started to cough and slow down, compared to his usual sprint into the kitchen to hug her.

Hina's eyes quickly widened as she rushed over to Sora, as the young four-year-old started coughing harder, blood began to erupt from his mouth, and his limbs started to go berserk like he was in a seizure, fighting for dear life, his arms started to claw at his chest, fingernails ripping through clothing, digging into his chest, Hina screamed for Ven to come and help her but a moment later, Sora had become unconscious, completely motionless on the living room floor. This made Hina terrified as she quickly grabbed her boy, and rushed to the nearest hospital, she didn't know what had just happened, but she needed answers and fast.

—--

Hina had been running for several minutes, and her heart felt like it was beating to the point she would collapse at any moment, the sounds of nearby neighbors, and Ven faded from her mind as she kept looking for a goddamn hospital, hugging Sora tighter against her body, hoping that the doctors would know what to do. They had to know something, it wasn't normal for a healthy boy to have a heart attack, seizures, and violently harm himself in a minute.

"Mom!" Sora let out, gasping for air, as his body felt cold, and stiff causing Hina to mentally say any swear words she could think of as she spotted the nearest hospital. The grip she held on Sora tightened as she moved faster to the point her sandals got left behind, she was nearly there.

"It'll be ok Sweetie, Momma's gonna get you to the hospital, and the doctors will get you all fixed up!" Hina said to her son, giving him a forced smile, as tears and mucus rolled down her face, as she slammed her body against the glass doors of the Destiny Island Hospital. Hina banged on the door to the point where she could feel the door ready to shatter if they put her mind to it, Ventus quickly opened the door, screaming at the young lady at the desk to grab the doctor. The blond-haired man quickly held onto his wife and son, turning them away from the door to look at the hallway as a doctor ran out with a nurse and cart, coming to rush Sora into a room for some tests.

The rest of the night was miserable for Hina, she didn't sleep, didn't eat or drink. Hell, she didn't move an inch off of the chair that Ven put her on. She just wanted her child back, she wanted to know that he was ok. To see his cheerful smile once again, and tell her that everything was ok, that this thing was only a bad reaction to something, so she could fix it, and continue to comfort her child.

Hina could only watch the clock above tick slowly, it was the only thing keeping her grounded to reality, and not going home, screaming at her husband for going home to make sure the house wasn't burnt down from her leaving the potatoes in the fryer. Hina couldn't care less about her house at the moment, Sora was the most valuable thing she had! He was the light of her life and the thing that gave her meaning whenever Ven had to leave them for questionable periods. Hina decided to get up and ask the nurse if any updates were available, she needed something to keep her sane.

"The doctor should be done in an hour! Ms. Hikari, please get some rest, it'll be better for all of us." The Nurse told Hina with a rude tone, making Hina wanna deck the nurse across the face! Who was she to tell her to rest, she needed to be awake to see Sora, or at least conscious enough to ask the Doctor some questions. She just had to last one more painful hour, Hina walked away feeling her stomach rumble. She knew she didn't have dinner, but she didn't want food even though she sat next to a vending machine. Hina looked at the clock again, it was a quarter past six, and Ven had left her around ten making her wonder why he didn't come back, as she looked outside the window to see the morning sky was replaced with dark purple clouds.

Hina looked at the clouds again, rubbing her tired eyes, seeing that they were still purple, so today must have been the day for a storm, but she had never seen purple clouds before in her life. Hina wondered where Ventus was, he was caught in that storm, hopefully, the power would go out, and hurt Sora in the process.

—--

Ven looked around him, the purple clouds meant the heartless were coming. This world would be lost to the darkness in no time, and Hina and Sora would probably die in the process. But at least he could say the experiment was different this time. Sora's body was too young to take in both hearts and survive the process, even if the heartless didn't come. He would have likely died in a few months at best. The only thing left to do was free Sora from his suffering, and kill Hina. The Doctor and that bitch would be in this universe soon, and Ven didn't want them to mess with his fun just yet.

"Hina, how to dispose of you?" Ven said, letting out a sigh, he should have been thrilled at the idea, kill his kid, see how differently this universe would be changed compared to his first, but still it didn't feel as fun as he wanted. He wanted to test the limits of fate, seeing what would happen to a few things going differently. Ven quickly opened up a dark portal, and as his eyes turned amber, it was time to get to work.
