Days with the squad

The Mamono world of XXXXXXXXX mamono of the undead type from the Banshee succubus family.

Banshees are beautiful women with beautiful voices, but they are always sad like widows, and their weeping shakes the spirits of everyone who hears them. Their clothes are always black, or a shade darker, representing their mourning. This is at least the popular folklore.

What actually happens is that Banshees are created when a woman who has had unrequited love dies or her object of adoration perishes before her. When she comes into contact with Mamono Mana, her shaken soul is transformed, and her despair leads her to cry and scream for hours, looking for someone (in this case a single man) to console her.

Thus, an unsuspecting man who wants nothing more than to help a woman crying to the heavens, is caught by the Banshee's charm, and begins to have libidinous thoughts towards her. The louder the cry and the closer the man gets, the more of his control is lost to carnal desires.

After getting a husband, the sadness that torments the Banshees disappears completely, replaced by a strong satisfaction of finally having a beloved partner by her side.

However, as their biology has a high affinity for strong feelings, and their vocal cords are made strong by the times they used to scream, along with a dilation of their tear ducts, they have a tendency to cry when strong emotions, whatever they may be, are suddenly felt by them.

There have been many cases in which Banshees, by being frightened, have induced a great deal of confusion, because even when they get a husband, their scream continues to have aphrodisiac effects, and have ended up causing any couple in the vicinity, whether a mamono couple or a completely human couple, to start fornicating where they are at the moment, even in public.

Melanie - So? How's the training going?" She lets her ass swing behind the chair as she questions Jonathan, who is currently sprawled on the - Everything and everyone hurts - His voice already shows his exhaustion. It's been a week since his training with Merse began, and he's almost exercised more in this week than in his entire life. Apparently he's not ready to learn how to fight, his body doesn't have the foundations of a warrior, and that's the first thing she wants to forge in Jonathan.

The week that has passed can be summed up as running, push-ups, sit-ups and exercises of the like. Both to develop endurance and to take all the extra fat off his body and turn it into firm, defined muscle.

Jonathan - I admit it, I'm a bit fat! But she doesn't have to throw it in my face all the time - Even though he complains, he can't ignore the effect that her insults and hints have on him. Every time he feels insulted and consequently angry, he feels more like doing the activities, an insult when he's about to ask for a break is enough to rekindle the fire, and it ends up with Jonathan completing everything she puts in his direction.

And somehow, she knows when he tries to use his special abilities to facilitate his training, and tells him to do it all over again from the beginning. At least the results are satisfactory, he already feels a little lighter. Of course, Jonathan feels as sore as if an ox had run over him, but it's good to know that he's getting something out of it.

Melanie - I don't think you're fat, I think you're cute and chubby - Trying her best to compliment him, the attempt wasn't so well received by Jonathan.

Jonathan - What do I look like to you, a seal? -

Melanie - What's a seal - Of course, even if she's seen the animal itself, the names can be different, so there's no way for her to know what a seal is.

That's how their days always started, Jonathan complaining about training, Melanie being as cute as ever and the two of them having breakfast, which, to be honest, he admits is a nice routine.

He just wishes he wasn't so hungry.

Merse - Okay, newbie, now that it looks like the exercises I gave you are getting easier, you'll now be training regularly along with the rest of the team - Announcing, she almost seems to have a proud smile on her face, but Jonathan can only see the chuckle of someone who's about to see someone screw themselves over.

Everything she gave him to do was very light compared to what the other guys in her command did. From what James told Jonathan, she recruits young men with the potential to be chosen by the head goddess, and trains them rigorously. She worked them like a horse, and even though some complained or blinked at her taking it easy on them, every day they finished everything that was asked of them.

Their training circuit consisted of running with sandbags attached to their bodies, swinging pieces of stick 1,000 times for each arm, routine sit-ups and push-ups, 1,000 free-form attacks on a log for training and to finish it all off, a spar between them of 2 minutes each round, with 3 rounds each and then switching. Anyone would admit that training like this is only suitable for those who are already in good physical - Have you finally come to join us, Jonathan? - Smiling, with sweat dripping down his body, he extends his hand for a shake.

Jonathan - Yeah! She finally said I'm ready, unfortunately - Accepting the handshake, he realizes that the strength of his grip is greater than usual, he can almost hear his fingers cracking.

Tyler - Ah, don't be like that, everyone here has been in your shoes, hhmm, more or less ..hehe - Putting his hands on Jonathan's shoulders, he turns him towards the most generic member of the group. - "Elt here has taken a week to get used to training, and look at him, apart from Merse, he's the strongest member of our team.

Seeing that the two are paying attention to him, Elt nods and heads towards them.

Elt - How are you? Tyler, Jonathan? - His smile is very radiant, you can see that everything he says comes from sincere concern. - Miss Merse decided that you could increase the level of your training? -

Jonathan - I'm fine, and yes, she thinks I can already work my ass off even more with this mountain of training - Still a little bitter, he replies to Elt, who isn't offended by the way he talks about his trainer.

Elt - Yes, Miss Merse's training is tough, but she wouldn't say you're ready if she wasn't sure -

Jonathan - You have a lot of respect for her, calling her Miss and all - Questioning, Jonathan kind of already knows the answer having read in the Fallen Maidens Comic how their relationship is, but it doesn't hurt to ask from his own experience.

Elt - Well, Miss Merse is a hero of the order, my trainer, and someone who sincerely believed in me, I think I have a healthy level of respect for him - Scratching the back of his head, he continues with that smile of pure sincerity.

Tyler - Haha, and don't forget she's always rubbing up against you Elt, you think you're fooling me by not mentioning that - Laughing, he begins to tease Elt with one of the recurring jokes his colleagues make.

Elt - A-a Miss M-Merse doesn't rub up against me Tyler! She only asks me to help her demonstrate hand-to-hand combat from time to time, what's wrong with that?- With a flushed face, he complains about the joke. There's a rumor among the cadets that he's always around Merse because of the more "physical" way she treats him. Many are envious of how much physical contact Elt has with a beautiful woman like Merse (not to mention that he's the only one who hasn't been beaten up for some mention to her femininity).

Tyler - Hahahaha, of course Elt, of course - Laughing out loud, he pats Elt on the back before returning to his training.

Elt's a really nice guy, the first hour I was in their training I was already pretty worn out, but he always asked me if I needed a break or encouraged me to keep going, which is a different method to the one Merse used to motivate me.

Merse - Elt! Come here, I need to show the new guy something - Shouting in an authoritative voice, she positions herself with a wooden stick in her hand in a circle on the sand.

Elt - Yes! Right away Miss Merse - Without wasting any time, even in the middle of his exercise, he walks over to her and picks up another wooden stick leaning in the corner.

The two of them enter the circle and, in an orderly fashion, all those who were training begin to watch.

Merse - This is the same situation as when I kicked your ass, newbie - Pointing at him, she ignores his snarl and face red with embarrassment - Now Elt, what was his first mistake? -Elt - It was him not setting up a guard - Trained like a soldier under her command for a long time, Elt already brandishes his wooden weapon, and stands in position, firm and prepared for any attack - He also wasn't careful with his feet or balance -

Merse - Good! Yes, those were some of the mistakes, but what now! - She leaps at Elt, a heroine of the order using her speed against a normal soldier would be unfair in most cases, but not for Elt.

Elt - Hrmm - He intercepts her in the middle of her advance, the two weapons clash, and for a moment their strength seems equal.

Merse begins the attack again, her attacks coming from various angles, fast and precise, even more so than she showed against Jonathan.

But it's impressive, Elt manages to parry every attack, instead of using brute force to fight her, he's using the momentum of the attacks to try and unbalance her. The position of her feet makes it almost impossible to lose her balance, but even as she continues her assault, Elt doesn't allow himself to be overpowered.

Elt - HE...Huff, let himself get frustrated and his attacks...huff...became predictable and erratic - Even with the effort being put into it, he still responds to her, it's amazing how the two almost dance with their weapons, never would Jonathan have imagined that Elt would be able to hold his own against a heroine of the order.

Merse - Yes! That's right! And also - With a stronger blow than the previous ones, she almost disarms Elt, who manages to hold on. But unexpectedly, she lets go of her weapon, and with both hands, while Elt doesn't fully recover, she pulls up the collar of his shirt and from behind his neck, using one of her feet to slide under Elt's legs, she causes them both to fall, she in an advantageous position in relation to him. - He forgot to use any close-quarter combat -

Impressive! Within seconds the fight, which had been evenly matched, was finally on Merse's side. She repositions herself and manages to get under Elt on his back and gives him a rear naked choke, with her legs also clinging to his torso to make sure he doesn't escape.

Jonathan: "She's right, I didn't hit her with my fists or legs, I just tried to hit her without thinking and didn't put together a strategy." His thoughts stop there when he hears one of the soldiers next to him giggling.

Tyler - Hihihi, Elt may not say it, but look at the place his head ended up, what envy, right? - It's true, due to the height difference between the two, while she's giving him a leg kick, his head is quite comfortable between her breasts. And maybe the redness on his face could be from embarrassment or something, but Jonathan is pretty sure it's because he's suffocating.

Jonathan "But thinking about the way they said she only does that to him, you really have to be as dense as a shounen protagonist not to think anything of it." When he sees Elt slapping the ground, signaling that he's conceding the fight, he takes a deep breath, grateful to be able to breathe again.

Elt - Arf...arf...arf... hmm? - As he gasps on the ground, he notices a hand reaching out towards - Very good Elt, your technique has improved - It's very quick, but the moment she compliments him, a very fond smile comes across his face, but he soon becomes more rebellious and cocky - But it will still take time to receive the goddess's blessing if you're taken by surprise by a simple grab - As soon as she says this, Elt's cheeks turn pink, and she laughs out loud, finding the bashful look on his face funny.

Merse - I hope you've all seen this! As soon as you've finished, I want you to have twice as many fights today - She commands everyone, and smiles wildly when she hears the grunts of complaint from the staff.

Jonathan " Yeah, Elt, it's tough being you. Not that I'm going to say that out loud, if someone hears me saying something like ''' Elt, Merse is so into you'' she might find out and scalp me. I'm going to press f when I go to your funeral for the death of a broken pelvis" Returning to training, he watches for a few more seconds her conversation with Elt, him being humble and saying that he hasn't improved and her just putting her arm around him and encouraging him.

? - Elt - niisan! your favorite magical girl has come to brighten your day - A little girl all decked out in pink arrives shouting at the door of the squadron's training ground, it's one of the rare days when Merse doesn't supervise the recruits, so everyone expected a quiet day but.

Miltie Mimil bursts through the squadron door, the girl who can't be more than 12 years old bounces around the training ground. She's wearing a costume full of pink. Little red shoes are on her feet, followed by white tights and ending in a pink mini skirt. Her shirt covers everything but her shoulders, which make room for her arms. The sleeves, which run from her white wrist to the beginning of her pink biceps, are disconnected from the shirt and somehow don't fly off with the girl's exaggerated movements. She holds a staff with a yellow gem on the end, and on her head a weak yellow cloth is used to hold back her giant pink hair. A bow tie hangs behind her holding her belt, a mixture of white and pink meet in it. Mimil is also known as the youngest heroine of the order, the prodigy mage of Lescatie, the mahou shoujo in pink.

Elt - Miltie! I told you not to run in here - With a real big-brother tone, he restrains the girl - What if one of us doesn't see you and an accident happens?! -

Miltie - Oh, relax! It's not like you wimps could hurt me with my magic protecting me - Without any apprehension, she ignores his concerns and in the same sentence insults everyone here.

Jonathan - Hey Elt? Who's that annoying lost brat?" Pointing with a face like he doesn't have enough time for this today, Jonathan, even though he knows who she is from the books, can't resist doing it.

Miltie - Hrmm?! - Indignantly, she looks in Jonathan's direction and her eyes narrow - Nii-san, who's the bitch-ass motherfucker over there? - Pointing at him.

Elt - Miltie! You shouldn't call people names like that -

Jonathan - What? What did you say?" Pretending to be offended, Jonathan walks over to her, and intending to give her a few smacks so that she learns to be respectful, he briefly sees her lips moving quickly, but he can't hear the sentences being said.

A flash occurs, and the girl disappears from everyone's view for a second.

Miltie - Hup! - She jumps right back on top of Jonathan, grabs his head by the hair like a koala child, and starts swinging. - Ahahahaha, look at the toy I found Elt, tall and easy to handle, hahaha -

One or two who had stopped training are now watching the scene and holding back their laughter. It's a known fact in the barracks that the heroine Miltie Mimil likes to pester the newcomers whenever she visits to talk to Elt, and since none of them have the social standing to scold her, they all just put up with her antics.

Jonathan - Elt, how much trouble would I be in if I threw this brat in a lit oven and locked her in - And of course, things like position in society or prestige or anything that differentiates his status from someone else's are irrelevant when Jonathan is annoyed. He asks this casually without the slightest hostility as she shakes her head at him.

Elt - I-I don't think that's necessary Jonathan, hehe - Running a hand over the back of his head, he tries to calm the situation.

Miltie - Oh, it's not funny anymore -

Jonathan - Hey! Ow! - Closing his eye with a sudden flicker of pain.

Miltie lets go of the young man's hair and gets off him and touches the ground, looking at him out of the corner of her eye, Miltie shows Jonathan her tongue.

Elt - Miltie, please stop bothering him, are you going to tell him what you came here for? - With his hands on her shoulders, he approaches the girl and puts one of them on her head.

The action seems to make the girl blush a little, but she soon returns to her serious face.

Miltie - I'm not a child Elt - Bullshit! - I'm just investigating some things around here, and I wanted to stop by and see you wimps - She takes her hand off his head and starts pulling him away. - Come on, I have to tell you about the monsters I blew up with my new magic -

Elt - I don't think you should talk so nonchalantly about something visceral like that, Miltie. - A greenness appears on his face, he's seen the results that some of her spells leave, and he doesn't feel comfortable with her talking about that sort of thing.

The two of them walk away from the group, leaving Jonathan alone with an annoyed look on his face.

Jonathan (grumbling) - I'm going to take this girl by the hair and shove that staff up her -

Before he could continue profaning in his rage, one of the members of the training squad came up to him, Clinton, the biggest guy in the group.

Clinton - It seems she had a good first impression with you - Ironically, he lets out the sentence.

Jonathan - The first impression she made on me was wanting to leave my handprint on her fucking loli ass-

Clinton - Hahahaha, that's what most people want to say to her when they meet her - Slapping Jonathan on the shoulder, he continues - Apart from you and Elt, no one here grumbles or answers her, and Elt only succeeds because he somehow acts like a responsible adult around her -

Jonathan - And? Why wouldn't others act like that? - This leaves him a little confused, apart from being a powerful mage heroine, Jonathan doesn't remember anything special about her.

Clinton - Ah, well, it's just that she's clearly not a normal child, she's the most powerful mage in town, so she sees no reason to respect any adults around here, so nobody tries - Leaving aside that she's quite annoying to anyone who tries, and that Elt is the only one who reprimands her for such behavior, she clearly doesn't accept authority figures in her life.

Jonathan "But isn't this girl about 11 or 12 years old, apart from the magic she has, she must still have a childish mind, right? " he wonders, "just because she doesn't need adults worrying about her, doesn't mean she doesn't want to." A feeling of pity comes over Jonathan, but he can't explain why.

Clinton - But man, it's good that she works as hard as the wizards at the academy, she's a genius, and having her dissimilate the mamono near our territory makes the population safer, so instead of getting angry, everyone congratulates her and salutes her -

Jonathan hears something a little disturbing in this sentence, and can't help but ask.

Jonathan - Is it so good that she's taking part in so much carnage? -

Clinton - Huh? - Without really understanding, he looks at Jonathan - Well, it's better than letting monsters get close to the city, even if they don't look like the one you killed a while ago, those mamono are still dangerous, and need to be eliminated, no one wants to find out what kind of perversity they hide, so in a way, having someone like Miltie, who has been used to destroying them since she was young, is a big bonus for the order - He starts to look at Jonathan strangely - Besides, these mamono are enemies of the goddess, so it's no problem to have Miltie, a genius in magic, killing them -

Jonathan " They don't know, they don't know how it's all religious indoctrination, they have no way of knowing, they've been taught the wrong way... Ugh, but it still annoys them that they think it's okay to send a child to fight and kill, they don't even doubt that the history of their world is so different from what they've been taught, that their goddess is far from benevolent - With a hard face, Jonathan tries to hide his disgust, but even though he tries to disguise it, his face still looks like someone who's eaten something rotten.

Clinton notices this, and mistakenly thinks that his irritation is because he was bothered by Miltie before, even with his face turned towards him, you can see that he still feels angry about the situation.

Clinton - Hey, don't be like that, that girl has a way of getting on everyone's nerves - Clinton then has an idea of how to cheer him up - Here's what we'll do, after training, you come with us to the bar that the whole squadron usually goes to, it's all on me, what do you think - Everyone already kind of wanted to invite him to get along better, but he always seemed tired after training so they decided not to. But since he seems to have gotten used to the strict regime lately, it would be a good time to start.

Jonathan - Hm, that's a good idea, I'll go - Seeing no reason to refuse, and wanting to take his mind off the thoughts he had before, he accepts the invitation, besides it will all be on the other person's account, so he has twice as many reasons to go.

The two of them smile and go back to training, the exercise is stressful and heavy, but they both get into a good rhythm, but a thought alerts Clinton.

Clinton: "Hey, Elt's taking a while to get back with Miltie." Deciding that it doesn't matter, he refocuses on his workout.

Elt - Miltie, stop pulling me, I know you're excited to tell me about the missions, but you could talk to everyone there, right...Hmm? - Complaining, and trying not to be pulled any further, he sees the look of innocence and childishness suddenly disappear from the girl's face, and she lets go of him and starts talking.

Miltie - This is the newcomer in town, right? - Her tone of voice is something that doesn't belong to a child, she looks seriously at Elt and continues - I thought he might be part of the White Sapphire Squadron, but just talking to him I no longer have any doubts, he's silly and too inexperienced to be one of them. -

Elt - White sapphire squad? What are you talking about, Miltie? Jonathan - Repeating the name to try and remember something, Elt still couldn't think of any squadron with that name.

Miltie - Ah! Well, I'd heard from some nobles that they had suspicions about the new boy who arrived in town and defeated a minotaur with powers never seen before - She grimaces to demonstrate what she's heard, and jumps closer to Elt, speaking very quietly now - And I heard that they thought he came from this squad, and when i started digging through the files at the academy, I saw this name and guess what they are. It seems that they've set up a squad in a place near Balthazar, in a forest that doesn't have a shred of natural magical energy, that only has children in it and ... Apparently they train these children from an early age to become heroes artificially - The tone in which she finishes her sentence is grave, and Elt's eyes widen when he hears this information.

Elt - Artificially creating heroes! How is that possible, that's... - Before he could shout his disbelief any further, Miltie put a finger to the boy's lips and continued.

Miltie: They do this by training the children in a terrible way, apparently their aim is to make them go beyond the limits of the human body, and to do this, they expose them to physical and mental training that is much stricter than any used on soldiers of the order. They all survive, but as far as I've been able to find out, they all have some striking characteristics - She raises her hand, showing two fingers - firstly, they have stony expressions, without showing any feeling, and secondly, their hair is as white as snow. I've read that the most accepted hypothesis is that the stress of training leads to an aging of the scalp. But of course, there are also other idiots who say it's the goddess cursing them for trying to enter divine territory using man's methods. - She lowers both fingers, and begins to look at Elt, waiting for his answer.

Elt - I understand, and you suspected that Jonathan might be part of them - Swallowing his astonishment at the information that the order would allow something so brutal, and a slight wish that he could be part of this squad, he returns to the topic at hand.

Miltie - Yes, but I doubt now that he is - Removing her serious and tense face, she smiles again in an unpretentious way - Besides, I got something else by coming here, hehe - Sticking out her tongue, she shows that in her hand there are a few strands of black hair. - "Everyone at the academy is going to be so jealous when I find out where that kid's powers come from." She laughs a little, just imagining the looks they'll make.

Seeing that Miltie is back to her childish self, Elt sighs and tries to save what she hears for another time.

Miltie - Well, that's all I had to say, I'll be right there - Heading towards the squadron's exit gate, almost there she turns and says - Oh, and if you need anything, just call the amazing Miltie to save your ass, okay Nii-san - In an arrogant manner, she gives a final warning and leaves.

Elt -Haaa, ( sighing ) what am I going to do to you Miltie - With irritation, he goes back to training, even with a silly smile on his face.

The place smells different from what he expected, there is a little alcohol in the air, but it's very faint, and what remains is just a more or less pleasant smell that reminds him of a colloquial coffee.

As soon as they left the training session, the squad headed for one of the city's bars. Apparently the bars closer to the center are very expensive and full of rules, but this one, which is a little further into the city's suburbs, has a very homely feel, is cheap from what they say, and I only ask that the customers don't make too much of a mess. Which is fair enough, since apart from the soldiers in the squadron, most of the clientele seem to be less modest people or guys who look like mercenaries.

They've taken a table for everyone in the corner of the bar, near a window when it's closed and the rectangular table has room for everyone. Jonathan sits in the corner furthest from the wall, taking a long drink of water while observing his surroundings.

Jonathan: "Hmm, it's interesting that they don't seem any different in this more relaxed environment." Turning the glass to his mouth, he notes that several of them have chosen alcoholic drinks and already seem to be drunk.

Speaking of which...

Clinton and Tyler - Turn! Turn! Turn! - Slamming their hands on the table, the two shout to Mureau, who has one foot on the table and is raising an entire bottle of beer above his head - Turn! Turn! Turn! VIROU! -

Mureau - Ahhhh! No day is too dull for a pint of beer - he exclaims wildly, raising his arms to the laughter of the tavern's customers. It's kind of funny, the one who looks the most like a nobleman acting like that.

Jonathan - Haha - He lets out a little laugh as he watches the spectacle - Woah! - He's taken by surprise when Clinton shakes him by the shoulders.

Clinton - That's it, man, loosen up! Haha - Already a little breathless, he laughs and exclaims, happy that Jonathan is getting on better with the squad.

The atmosphere of fun has continued since they arrived at the place, while everyone has decided to get something stronger to drink, along with a spiced roast chicken and various vegetables, Jonathan remains in the water for the moment, since training has started he has noticed that he needs twice as much water as normal and drinking alcohol will only make his needs worse. He's also very happy about the roast chicken, it's delicious with an artisanal touch, unlike the ones he used to eat, which were made by machines that turned the chicken, while this one was made in a wood-fired stone oven.

Jonathan: "I wonder if my grandparents are eating as well as me back home?" Staring into his glass, his thoughts turned to his family in their original world. He's been very busy with everything that's happened, and thinking about them is bringing a strong longing to his heart. Questions of how they are, how their health is, and thoughts of how he might be able to return home first cross his mind. "I hope that some kind of time dilation or something is going on, at best it's like Digimon where a day here is a minute there, but it wouldn't be good to get too optimistic." A twinge of sadness begins to run through him, he wanted to stay in this city because he wanted to change as a person, but what if that was just his selfish thinking?

Elt - Hmm? - Noticing that the newcomer to their team has fallen silent, Elt pays attention to Jonathan's face and sees several emotions suddenly pass through him "Thinking back now, we know very little about him, apart from the places no one has ever heard of and a few strange phrases from him, I've asked very little about him" Deciding that if he was going to get along better with the squad, they needed a little more push, he thinks of a good question.

Elt - So, Jonathan? Why did you decide to train here in Lescatie? - Even though he spoke quietly to attract Jonathan's attention, everyone at the table heard him and stopped their activities to pay attention to them. "Oops!"
Jonathan - Hm? - Snapped out of his melancholy thoughts, he sees that the whole table is waiting for his answer, the sudden change in everyone's focus makes him swallow the water that was in his mouth, and thinking for a few seconds, he speaks the first and also the least suspicious of the reasons - Here in Lescatie the greatest heroes the order has are trained, apart from my ability that I don't even know where it comes from, I have nothing special, so I thought that here would be the best place to get some real training -

Everyone seems to be satisfied with this answer, but now that Elt has started the subject, they all look at each other and decide without verbal communication that it would be nice to reveal the reasons why they joined the squadron.

Tyler - Well, I joined the army of order for the money - Pointing to himself, he lets his reasons out - I have a big family to look after, and the salary for any soldier is already pretty high here in Lescatie, but for someone who becomes a hero, He imagines his whole family, his 3 little brothers and 2 little sisters with lots of new toys and clothes, eating sweets while their parents watch on the sofa knowing they won't have to lift a box to prove it to their children.

Clinton - With me it was a family duty too, only in a different way, my father and grandfather served the order at my age, so it's basically mandatory that I enlist - The times Clinton spent with his grandfather telling stories about his days as a soldier come to mind for the young Clinton, how those stories that he always suspected were embellished made him tremble with excitement.

Now everyone looks at Mureau, as the heir son of a noble house, it's normal for them to think that the motive will probably also be duty or something of the sort to his family, but...

Mureau - I want to kill Mamono - He says this to everyone at the table, it's not the most extraordinary reason most of them have ever heard, but one of them feels quite uncomfortable hearing these words - I'm going to kill all the monsters that threaten Lescatie, march into the Makai Kingdom, the demon lord's home and put an end to this war, my name will be remembered as a great hero, I'll be the man who ended the sacred war that lasted half a millennium - With high excitement in his eyes, he looks at everyone and smiles. Such an arrogant statement, which would normally come out of the mouth of a shounen protagonist telling everyone about his goal, even has a spotlight on Mureau as he says it, but Jonathan feels very uncomfortable listening to it all.

Mureau - As long as these monsters are free and uncontrolled to do whatever they want, they will only hurt more people, either by corrupting them to their side or killing them.

Jonathan "I want to tell them so much, I want to tell them so much!, but if I say anything, it's very difficult to convince any of them, they'll arrest me and who knows what they will do to me" Debating with his rational side, and with the frustration of seeing that these people don't know the truth of their world, and will only kill and die believing a lie, he lowers his head, so that no one can see the anger he feels when he hears Mureau's words. After all, he remembers his furry companion waiting for him at home. His hands become sweaty, a nervous and anxious feeling takes over him, being surrounded by so many like-minded people doesn't help either, but the tightness he feels only continues.

?: Pffftt! Before you talk about killing any demon king, think about becoming a hero of the order first, human - A voice speaks condescendingly from the tavern door, attracting the group's attention.

The girl's appearance is certainly striking, approximately 1.60 cm tall and with long hair in ponytails and seemingly silky to the touch, she doesn't seem overly large in the breast area, but her long legs are complemented by firm thighs and a shapely butt, and her skin is a very light shade. She dresses peculiarly, preferring armor only on one side of her body, a green metal shoe and tights on both legs in a light green hue, greaves only on the left leg also in a dark green hue, a skirt with purple petals facing right. The breastplate she wears seems to cover only the sides of her body and the underside of her breasts, in keeping with the tone of the rest of the outfit, she has a left shoulder pad and on that same arm a gauntlet with the part facing her made of leather and with an opening for her fingers. All the armor is segmented and green, giving the appearance of leaves. This woman is the half elf heroine of the order, First Concerto.

Seeing that everyone is staring at her, she begins to approach, an annoyed expression on her face, and looks with a certain disdain at everyone there, except one of course.

Tyler - Hey! That's the elf that Elt sometimes meets in the forest - He explains, even though Jonathan already knows this fact, and is curious about this being the first time he's seen an elf - Do you want to sit with us? I'll buy you a drink, cat." She doesn't even look at him properly and goes ahead of Elt.

Primera - Elt! Tell the commander that the orcs spotted in the villages north of the rim have already been killed - She looks around, and sees the new group, but doesn't comment - Next time it's time to receive my report, I hope you'll be in a place with fewer humans - She speaks angrily to Elt, who gives a simple sane to calm her down and nods understandingly.

Jonathan: "Well, I can take 'seeing an elf' off my list of things to do in an Isekai." He doesn't even think to say anything about the explicit loathing she wants to show to others. In the books, it was said that this hatred was projected by her hating herself, being the fruit of the union of an elf and a human woman, a hybrid of the elf race, which is considered a race allied to the goddess of order, and a human.

Mureau - Hmpf! But for someone who likes to isolate herself, you come looking for Elt pretty quickly - A little irritated by the way she doubted his proclamation, he points out one of her flaws.

First - What? I didn't come looking for anyone, you hear? If I didn't hand in this report as soon as I arrived, the officers would be all over me later, that's why - Her face red, she replies indignantly, and turns away so that no one can see her blush.

Jonathan - Tsundere -

Elt - Hmm? Did you say something, Jonathan? -

Jonathan - Ah!, a Tsundere is the kind of person who likes someone but fakes to hate them - He explains, without seeing Primera's shocked and angry expression - It seems, Elt, that you have a plate fu... Ghuk - He removes his hand from where it was resting on the table quickly because he senses danger coming towards him, and in the next instant a metal dart is embedded in the wood, thrown by Primera Concerto.
Primera - You were saying? - In a low, cold voice, she questions (threatens) Jonathan.

Jonathan - Not at all! -

Primera - Hmpf! - She starts to leave, but lets out a - As if a half-breed like me could have him -

The door slams suddenly, and everyone stares for a few moments, but soon the conversation resumes and the atmosphere begins to return to that of joy and celebration. Something that Jonathan is very happy to keep going. Without seeing the strange way Mureau looks at him.

Mureau " That reaction from him was quick, very quick...hmm"

When everyone decided to go back to their homes a little late in the evening, Clinton and Tyler offered to go with Jonathan part of the way, but were politely refused, with Jonathan saying that it doesn't take long from here to where he lives, and there wouldn't be a problem he couldn't solve. The two accepted the explanation, but said that he should be careful, even if it is close, it is very dangerous to walk through the poorer streets of the city at night like this.

Now Jonathan finds himself alone, walking quietly through the streets, just wanting to put his head on the mattress

Jonathan "I'd like to listen to some music on my cell phone, but I left it with Melanie at home so it wouldn't drain the battery." When he decided to do that, she asked him what the object was for, and after half an hour of explaining the basics of a phone, she sort of understood. But when she asked what Jonathan used it for, since from what he said most of the functions weren't available for him to use, the thing he had would be kind of useless (and she even said it in a careful voice so as not to offend Jonathan, who just took it as a normal question) He replied that he uses it to look at photos of his family whenever he feels a bit demotivated, to remember why he's trying so hard.

Taking up a combat position, he decides to attack 3 and the one who seems to speak for both of them, probably the leader.

Jonathan runs to the left, then the two who were waiting jump too, and the third, who is on Jonathan's route, prepares to intercept him.

Bandit 3 - KUGH! - Holding the sword that Jonathan used, his arms tremble in surprise at the boy's strength. The sound of two irons hitting each other echoes through the street.

Jonathan - Close-quarter combat! - With the guy's sword busy blocking, his face is left unguarded, and Jonathan hits him with a right cross.

The blow, which should only surprise him, hits him in the face almost like a hammer, and the bandit feels part of his jaw fracture with the force of the blow and two of his teeth come out. He is thrown to the side, frightening even Jonathan with his strength.

Bandit 1 - Aargh! - The fat man wasn't even affected by what he saw, just raised his hammer in fury, intending to smash the boy.

Jonathan - Fluidity - Seeing the attack coming almost in slow motion, he positions his sword, not able to take the blow with all his might.

Bandit 1 - Owooa! - As Jonathan hits the blood sword with the hammer, he lets it tilt downwards and moves his body together to the side. The result is that the hammer's swing is knocked off course, hitting the ground, taking the fat man with it and leaving him off balance.

Jonathan takes advantage of this to kick him hard in the stomach. The fat man's body seems to bend with the impact, but he is pushed a little and falls to the ground holding the side that Jonathan kicked.

Not forgetting the last of them, he sets off towards thug 2, who tries a blow with the knife he has in front of him, hoping to cut his enemy's face.

Jonathan dodges the blow while still getting close to the thug by ducking his head a little. With his arm outstretched and within his field of movement, the thug has no choice but to see Jonathan's fist coming towards his face. The blow breaks his nose and knocks him down, it felt like an iron fist rather than a bare hand had hit his head.

Jonathan - Arf! Arf, whew! I won, I didn't even have to go all out to get it - Feeling relieved, Jonathan goes over to the guy who seemed to be the boss, and remembers something and continues with his blade held high.

Bandit 3 - Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Dude, we're just following orders, okay, no need to continue - Raising his hands in front of his chest, he ignores the pain in his jaw a little to calm the boy down.

Jonathan - Orders? From whom? - Trying to stay calm, but surprised that someone is already after him, and worried about what this means.

Bandit - Come on, man! We can't talk about the names of the clients, reliability and stuff like that." In a relaxed manner, he crawls a little away from Jonathan.

Jonathan - Who sent you? I don't care if I have to hurt you for real to get the answers - Keeping his tough guy pose, he gets angry, wanting very much to know who might be after him, and worse still, might be after Melanie, putting them both in danger.

Bandit - It was your mommy, man, she wants her little baby back home - Making fun of the boy, he holds his sword tightly and waits for the right moment.

Jonathan - I told you! Who gave you those orders? - Annoyed that such a scumbag was talking about his mother, he is surprised when he raises his sword.

Bandit - Die! - Seeing that he has no option, he lunges forward with a frenzied look, trying to cut his neck out of his body.

Seeing the attack from afar, Jonathan jumps to the side to dodge it. The attack passes through the air without hitting anything and the bandit opens his eyes wide, seeing that his desperate maneuver hasn't worked.

Jonathan then, with a new level of speed, moves up behind the man. As soon as he realizes this, he tries to turn around, but Jonathan grabs his head from behind, and with a push using his strength, lifts and smashes the bandit's head into one of the walls, splitting it into a few pieces, a red stain covering a section of the wall.

The bandit remains almost motionless, and Jonathan releases him, letting him fall to the ground unconscious.

Jonathan - ,,,,, gh - He takes a few seconds to understand the situation, in his anger and surprise he used too much force on the guy, and looking at the bloodstain on the wall, he's sure that with a little more he could have killed him. Even a head injury like that can have many consequences, and even though Jonathan knows that they would do much worse to him given the chance.

Jonathan "Don't think about it, just go home and see if Melanie's okay." Looking at the two of them on the floor, sore but awake, and at the last one who hasn't got up yet but is still breathing, he leaves the scene, a little afraid of what he might do if they go after his friend.

Fortunately, when they get home, everything is fine, with Melanie wanting to know everything about the encounter with the squad. Since Jonathan isn't dirty or stained, he doesn't comment on the fight and just tries to be happy with the way everything turned out. But he ends up going to bed with a guilty conscience. Without seeing the worried look Melanie gives him every time he turns around.

Melanie "Master Jonathan..." Worried, she realizes with her sharp nose and by his body language that something has happened, but not knowing what to do, she just holds his hand while he sleeps and invades his bed.
