The cinema was multi-purposed with a tennis court located on the rooftop level of the building.

Gone was the umbrella as Olga opted to be soaked by the darkened weeping sky.

Her exorcist's uniform made a sloshed sound as she moved. Her dark hair clung to her face, strands sticking rebelliously to her skin.

The current atmosphere reflected a dense sense of dread and gloom within the opened environment. However, that want the only thing that was unsettling.

"H-hh hunger -grr ry.."

Olga spams her wires within the area, adjusting them with fluid motions as she laid out strings inscripted with religious affirmations. They had a precise control of cursed energy engraved into them, making them a precised binding weapon.

She attaches her wires to her fingertips, maneuvering them like stringed puppets as she manages to latch onto the curse.

It was a resisting beast.

As she pulled it towards herself, it thrashes about and violently sways.

She manipulated one of the wires to yank off its deformed arm, cleanly slicing it off to hinder its resistance.

"L… l-lunc -hh box -x… "

For a split second she felt it; a singular tangible touch.

SCREECHHHHHHHHHHHH!

A sharp whipping sound cuts through the air.

Olga retracts her wires, bringing the reluctant mass forward. She touches it with rough hands, feeling the curved surface of the grotesque beast.

She wasn't mistaken.

This was definitely a real lump of flesh.

Under her strokes, the live creature jittered and shaked, reeling from her touch.

Despite having it restrained by her wires, it was still very much alive.

This occurance would usually be a bizarre one but it was the second time that month for her encountering such creatures.

Creatures… That was a stretch, considering they were once humans.

There was one other thing she had to do.

She prayed.

"Lord, embrace them in your loving arms and grant them eternal peace. Pax Christi. Amen."

A flash of white light envelops them.

It was a standard technique meant to oust the devil's magic. In the jujutsu sorcerer's context, it meant that Olga had rid of the creature's unnatural possession of cursed energy.

The creature went limp.

However, cleansing the devil's power was not enough to guerantee "eternal peace."

She plunges her bare hand into its flesh, claiming its heart. Hot crimson blood splattered onto her cheeks and clothes as she ripped out the organ. Luckily since her clothes were dark, the blood smeared on her person was not so visible.

This was her final salvation to them.

Olga's reflexes kick in as another deformed creature attacks her, discarding the butchered heart from her hand.

Yet, she finds herself shielded by a man in a business suit.

However, Nanami's efforts were unnecessary as she had already latched her wires onto it since the beginning. Olga brought her hand down, causing a chain reaction as she smashed it onto the ground.

The concrete floor was not spared from its mass and cracked underneath the pressure of Olga's bashing.

Despite this, this time, her aim was not to kill it.

"What's the situation here? Why didn't you exorcize it?" Nanami demanded once the creature had been thoroughly subdued.

Olga remained silent. She lets him figure it out himself, the reasoning behind her action.

"Is that blood on your face, Olga-san?" Yuji's voice revealed a growing concern as he eyed warrily at the slight blood on her face.

"Not mine."

The realization dawned upon Nanami as he used his phone to see through its lens. These creatures were able to appear on phone cameras, giving rise to the fact that they were not ordinary cursed spirits.

"They're human." He finally said.

"They were formally human…" Olga started the moment Nanami concluded his phone call with Shoko.

Within an office in the same building, the three of them were dripping wet from head to toe. Olga wears her waterproof trench coat over her uniform to hide the stains she had smeared on her clothes from her fight earlier on.

As always, she showed no signs of emotion.

The revelation made Yuji downcasted. He sunk deep into his seat, the weight of the situation weighing heavily on his chest.

Although he didn't have to fight those creatures himself, he felt deeply conflicted.

Especially when it came to Olga's apathy.

He wasn't a religious person but from what he's seen and known, shouldn't empathy be a crucial trait for someone like that to have?

There was an eerie sense about her. She's closed-off, and wasn't the first person you would think of when describing a warm welcoming person who was devoted to religion. Although her cold-shoulder was also not something she intentionally does and that she seemed generally cold and unfeeling, she really doesn't mean any ill-will.

Olga was just… She was excessively inexpressive.

Which both alarmed and made him curious about the woman who claimed to play the role of his "bodyguard." But he wasn't such a big idiot to not understand the implication behind what she exactly meant.

In fact, if she was to solely play the role of bodyguard, then she wouldn't have gone out of her way to get to the cursed corpses first.

Futhermore, there was the culprit behind this incident.

To Yuji, that disgusting thing should not be allowed to exist.

Words needn't convey what went on in Yuji's head, it was evident to the two adults about the way the look on his face morphed into a rising resentment.

Olga knew that look, the one of absolute contempt and hatred. A very familiar look she recalled having seen too many times in her previous line of work.

"Those cursed energy residuals were meant to lead us into a trap. Olga-san, how were you able to detect those things without seeing the residual prints and going into the theater first?" Nanami asked sharply.

Olga glanced at Nanami with her piercing teal eyes, a faint glint of acknowledgment in her expression. "I was trained to perceive the presence of concentrated curse energy without relying solely on visual cues left by the residual prints." she explained tersely.

Nanami nodded, absorbing her response, but he could not accept it simply with just that. "Then why didn't you informed us first?"

Hearing this, Yuji sits up straight, keen to listen on Olga's explanation.

Olga's gaze remained steady as she answered Nanami's question. "I didn't inform you because I wanted to handle the situation quietly. There was no need for the two of you to support me there. Those creatures were once human, and I didn't want to cause unnecessary panic or distress to the people around. Afterall, I suspect this would be the first you've encountered such things, correct?"

Yuji's heart sank.

"However, Olga-san, please let me understand why did you go as far as to rip out their hearts? That was… unnecessary," Nanami added, leaning forward as his eyes narrowed, demanding an explanation.

"Unnecessary? Maybe… I couldn't just allow them to suffer. It was a final act of mercy, though gruesome as it seems, destroying the hearts ensured a quick and absolute death," She answered, the tone of her voice remained unchanged.

Nanami's stern expression softened slightly, understanding the gravity of Olga's decision. "Mercy," he muttered, as if testing the weight of the word. He did not press on any further. While what she did was irrelevant, there was nothing else they could do about it.

Yuji, still conflicted and slightly repulsed, kept quiet.

He knew this.

Principal Yaga stated that the nature of being a Jujutsu Sorcerer was a cruel one. Olga and Nanami were adults in similar profession, they have seen things that most people couldn't fathom. Yet, for Yuji, this reality was still sinking in.

He knows this well, it's been hammered into him lately since the previous mission that went wrong and his revival from death. Yet, he would have to get used to this sort of occcurence for him to stand against the ultimate menace; Sukuna.

Sensing the unease amongst them, Olga gets up from her seat. "I'm going to go smoke outside for a bit,"

There was silence.

As always, no one tried to stop her.

Olga stepped out of the room and was greeted by the scent of the still raining sky while the door creaked softly behind her. She enters an opened, airy space filled with the humid breath of the surroundings.

With a flick of her fingers from her dominant hand, a cigar appears. She lights up the tip burning until a trail of smoke forms. It was a mesmerising feeling whenever she watches a cigar burn; it never failed to remind her of a time when hearing the onslaught of gunfire used to be a constant.

Olga took a deep drag from her cigar, the smoke swirling around her as she leaned against the wall.

The sound of the door creaked open, revealing Nanami as he steped out. As the door closes behind him, he walks to Olga with intent.

"You… Olga-san, what are you planning?"

She exhailed a plume of smoke.

Olga stared at the ground, contemplating the appropriate words before meeting Nanami's gaze.

"I understand your skepticism, Nanami. But let me assure you, I don't plan anything on my own accord. I don't intend to change or disrupt the natural course of events. If circumstances demand action, I act in accordance with my beliefs."

As she spoke those words, there was a hint of weariness in Olga's voice, a weariness that seemed to extend beyond the present moment.

He took a moment to study her, observing the lines etched on her face. Her gaze were unfocused and dull as if she was peering into a distant past, a realm only she could see.

Yet, it was not his place to bring up her past experiences.

She meant every word she had just said, in spite of his own doubt about them.

Olga too, asked Nanami her own question. "Why did you leave Yuji with himself? Is your suspicion about me more important than watching him?"

Nanami sighed, running a hand through his wet hair. "As you know, I am not only on this mission to supervise him but also you. You're untrustworthy and from the Secret Church, an organization the Jujutsu Society has hardly any basic knowledgeof. You're a wildcard, therefore, you pose as a secondary immediate threat besides Sukuna," Nanami reprimanded.

The holy woman twirls her cigar on her fingers, considering her next words.

"I see your point," She pushes the cigar back into her mouth, once more tasting the bitterness of it. In a calm and solemn voice, she presented him with an unexpected suggestion.

"Let's not waste time. Make a binding vow with me," She stated plainly, her bored eyes never leaving his.

Nanami was taken aback by Olga's suggestion. Creating a binding vow was a serious and intimate commitment in the world of Jujutsu Sorcery. It meant entrusting one's life to a contract, and the consequences of breaking the vow could be dire.

"I meant every word. However, there are things I wish to keep confidential."

Nanami regarded Olga carefully, trying to gauge the sincerity behind her words. He knew she was not one to make such suggestions lightly, and her request for confidentiality only added to the weight of the situation.

"You understand that creating a binding vow isn't something you can casually put out there, just so you can get your way. If you break it, there'll be dire consequences for you," Nanami stated firmly, making sure she comprehended the gravity of such a proposal.

However, it was obvious to Nanami that Olga knew it well. She didn't seem bothered by it and accepted it as if it was the same as anything else.

And Olga wasn't worried about the repercussions, since if she broke their vow, the recoil was only equal to the extent of her breaking the contract.

So Nothing too severe would befall her.

Olga nodded, her expression unyielding. "I assure you, I have no intention of betraying or becoming a threat to anyone. I want to put your suspicions to rest, and in return, I expect you to trust me to handle matters in my own way."

After a moment of contemplation, he decided to accept Olga's proposal. "Very well, Olga-san. Let's create the binding vow, but I will set some terms as well," he replied, his voice resolute.

Olga acknowledged his decision. "I'm listening."

"Firstly, you must promise to be transparent with me regarding any information that could directly affect Yuji or the mission at hand. I need to trust that you will share crucial details to ensure everyone's safety," Nanami stated.

Olga gave a small nod of agreement. "Understood. I will be as open as necessary regarding matters that concern Yuji and the mission. But about my abilities, that's the only things I won't be able to share… to an extent. I require your trust to not doubt me in that regard."

After a moment of thought, Nanami conceded, "Fair enough. And secondly," He continued, "you must promise not to harm Yuji, either directly, indirectly or intentionally. He's a valuable asset to us, and his well-being is of utmost importance. And… as you know he is still a child."

Olga's eyes narrowed slightly especially to the word "child", but she responded firmly, "I won't lay a finger on him."

"Lastly," Nanami concluded, "if either of us breaks this vow, we will face severe consequences. I want us to be accountable for our actions, and I won't take the consequences lightly."

Olga's expression remained unchanged as she replied, "Agreed. I understand the gravity of this vow, and I won't take it lightly either."

With their terms set, the atmosphere around them seemed to shift.

"There, it is done," Olga said, exhaling another plume of smoke. "You have my word, Nanami. I am not your enemy."

Back in the office, Yuji looked up as they entered, sensing the tension between them.

"Did something happened outside? You both look very serious," Yuji said with a concern voice.

Nanami reassured him. "The two of us… came to an agreement. From now on, the three of us will work as a team. That means, we'll be maximising our effort to hunt that cursed spirit,"

"Make no mistake, he'll dies at the end of all this," Olga added, her voice dropping down to a low, almost ominous tone.

"Here's the plan, since the cursed spirit was unable to appear in the CCTV footage, our next best option is to look into another possible suspect of the case." Nanami pins a photo of a boy named Yoshino Junpei onto the whiteboard.

The boy was around the same age as Yuji and he was a suspect for the murder. But judging by what they saw on the camera roll, the boy's expression to the murder made it unlikely.

It was peculiar how he didn't show any signs of distress.

"He doesn't seem like a cursed user, which makes this occurrence all the more suspicious," Nanami sighed.

Yuji raised his hand. "What's a cursed user?"

Olga brushed three fingers on her lips, ruminating about the term. "If I am not wrong, that is someone that wields cursed energy for their own selfish reasons."

"Precisely, they're mostly an evil Jujutsu Sorcerer. Olga-san and I will be investigating the location of the culprit while I want you, Itadori-kun and Ijichi-san to work together and track down the boy. Try getting some information out of him about the culprit,"

There was something more to this.

The cursed spirit behind this was dangerous and strong.

In fact, Nanami said to Olga earlier in priivate, that the curse would be recognized as a Special Grade curse.

The grading system was widely used in the Jujutsu community. It was also a new term she had just learned, since it was a system that the Secret Church didn't apply when categorizing the supernatural. They simply recognized such existence as the devil's influence realized or heretics utilizing satanic power.

And it was true, the cursed spirit behind this was no ordinary curse. Especially, when it came to it's unique displays of its abilities by twisting human beings' into unsettling things.

As for the civilian boy that was involved in this case, Olga sensed that it wasn't merely a coincidence. From the footage alone, his expression and body language, didn't give off the impression that he knew anything. And drawing from his background knowledge, he seem to lead a normal life.

Although somehow, Junpei didn't seem to react as how a normal person would to those unsettling and sudden murders. He watched his classmates die gruesomely in front of him and didn't seem to be extremely affected by it.

Quickly, she deduced he was just another morally sick person.

Which should be the usual.

"Yuji..." Olga started, rousing his attention as he was about to leave. "When you meet him, treat the boy as how you would with your friends. He seemed like a troubled kid, so lend him your support when he needs it." She advised.

Yuji nodded earnestly at Olga's advice, appreciating her guidance. "Sure, Olga-san! You don't have to worry about me,"

She turned to face Kiyotaka, the assistant who was going to supervise Yuji. "Kiyotaka, please take care of Yuji. I have faith in you,"

Hearing Olga's kind words made the scrawny man blushed as he repeatedly bowed slightly at her shouting a gleeful thank you. "Ah, y-yes! Thank you very much, Olga-san!"

"It was my pleasure, now run along," She momentarily curved her lips outwards before dropping to her typical expression.

With that, Kiyotaka leaves the room with Yuji. Yuji's enthusiasm shined through as he exclaimed. "Alright, let's go!"

Yuji's light was definitely something, she thought.

With just the both of them, Nanami had noted something about her words to Yuji before he left. He intended to confront to her about it but decided later on would be better.

For the sole holy exorcist there, her expression was always quick to change. Olga gets up from her table, planning on leaving first but Kiyotaka steps into the room once again.

"Oh, pardon me, Olga-san!" He remained at the door's entrance as his attention switched to Nanami who was leaning against the whiteboard.

Olga too stood at the door's entrance to watch the conversation.

"By the way, you two are actually going to confront the cursed spirit, right?"

Nanami did not deny Kiyotaka and explained. "Of course. The cursed spirit left residual cursed energy to lure us to it. It's intelligent, so it's likely wanted us to come to it,"

But Kiyotaka seemed to be unconvinced.

"I've got Olga-san with me, so I wouldn't be heading there alone. Besides, I don't want to risk having Itadori-kun with me." Nanami stated pointedly.

"Afterall, he's still a child," He added, enhancing his point.

In Olga's mind, she wondered what truly made someone a child. She knew that she could not live a normal life and thus, her childhood had been forfeited.

Although, the sweet thing known as childhood innocence may have also been a temporary farce back then too.

So… Was it right to still call Yuji a child after dying once and having near death experiences one too many times?

"I almost forgot to say this," Yuji chimed in as he re-entered the room. "Stay safe, Sister Olga and Nanami-sensei!"

Nanami was momentarily silent before he spoke. "Itadori-kun, I'm not a teacher so please don't call me "sensei" and I don't think Olga-san appreciate's you calling her that,"

"Call me whatever. I welcome it," She stated in her usual impassive tone.

"Alright, if you don't mind!" Yuji's eyes positively gleamed at Olga's static approval. He turned to the older man. "Then Nanamin, then!"

But Nanami was having none of that.

"I will slap you," He calmly said with unchanged expression.

(A/N) So… Yeah, in the end I didn't manage to post a chapter last week since I went overseas. Also, I'll be working part-time from December untill March, but don't worry, I'll make sure to diligently post a chapter every Sunday!

I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE TO WATCH SEASON 2 of JJK. I SWEAR MY MIND WOULD GO INTO A SPIRAL BECAUSE I'VE BEEN SEEING THE ANIME SCENES EVERYWHERE! (but I read the Manga before which… was a long time ago)

I WILL CRY T_T

Thanks for the support you guys show to this story! I appreciate it so much!
