Y/n was glad to have his own room and not be stuck with a roommate, giving him some alone time away from other students but that didn't last long since there was a party he had to attend tonight.
Y/n took a final look at himself in the mirror, he had gone with something that could never not look good, dark blue jeans and a black polo t-shirt that hugged his body, running his hand through his h/c-hair before grabbing his leather jacket and moving out.
It didn't take long for the Nogitsune to walk into the party, the scent of supernaturals and beer hitting his nose as he made his way through the crowds of people, instantly becoming the focal point for a lot of students. "Hey, Y/n right?" A familiar voice called out to the kitsune.
"That's me, MG?" Y/n smiled, snapping his fingers as he pointed at the familiar vampire.
"Suprised you remembered," MG joked as he dapped Y/n before motioning to his friend. "This is Kaleb," He shrugged his shoulder.
"Nice to meet you," Y/n smiled as he gave Kaleb a dap, feeling the new vampire use more force as he gripped the Nogitsune's hand which made him smile as he matched the vamp's force. "Where can a man get a beer?" Y/n smirked as he looked at MG, giving Kaleb's hand a slightly harder squeeze before letting go.
"Let's go," MG chuckled before making his way through the crowd with Y/n and Kaleb slightly behind him.
"So what are you, vampire or werewolf?" Kaleb asked as he leaned in closer to the Kitsune so he didn't have to shout.
"Kitsune," Y/n on the other hand kept his voice raised so that it was more than audible over the music, catching the attention of a few students. "So I take it from your reaction that you've never met a Kitsune before?" Y/n joked when Kaleb's eyes widened.
"Can't save I have,"
"Nobody here really has," MG spoke up as he grabbed a cup off the table and turned to hand it to Y/n. "We've read about them and then plenty of the wolves say that they've fought them before," He added before rolling his eyes. "Not that any of us believed them,"
"Yeah, they tend to always exaggerate things," Kaleb chuckled as he shook his head before the three of them made their way through the party again. "The only thing that isn't exaggerated in the wolf packs is how hardcore the women are," He chuckled as he bumped into Y/n.
Y/n just let out a laugh before sipping his drink. "I mean... You're not wrong," He shrugged before watching MG laugh and shake his head. "So, how's life at this school?" He asked as he looked around.
"Normally?... Boring," Kaleb shrugged as he looked at the rest of the party. "That's kinda why we get to throw these parties now and then, it's supposed to stop us from doing something stupid," He added as he took a sip of his drink.
"I'm surprised Alaric allows this," Y/n shook his head before scanning the crowd slowly. "Has anyone seen Lizzie here?"
"Nah, it has something to do with an accident earlier today," MG practically whispered as he leaned closer to Y/n.
The Nogitsune knew what moment MG was talking about and just shook his head. "That sucks," He chuckled before a strong scent of musk hit his nose, this time the musk scent was more powerful than the sweeter scent or the scent of rose but they were still there. "What was the story with that guy we took to the dungeons?"
"Who?" Kaleb turned his attention to the other vampire. "Someone's in the dungeons?"
"Just some human named London or something like that..." MG shrugged as he looked at the two of them. "He must have had vervain because I tried to use compulsion on him and it didn't work so we locked him in the dungeon overnight and I'll try again tomorrow," He added as he sipped his drink. "I think that girl that was in the room, Hope Mikaelson, had a thing for him though," The young vampire laughed as he spoke.
Well, Y/n wasn't so sure about that whole 'locked in the dungeon' part. "Hey, you're Y/n right?" A new voice called out from behind the trio.
"Yeah..." Y/n shrugged as he spun around to find the brunette from before.
"Well, I'm Josie Saltzman,"
"Lizzie's sister, nice to meet you," Y/n smiled as he shook her hand.
"Sorry, I wasn't there to show you around,"
"It's alright, Lizzie did a pretty good job," Y/n chuckled, knowing full well that it was a lie. "Well, between all the joking and us being sidetracked," He laughed as he shook his head. "But I'm glad to finally meet the other daughter that I don't believe Alaric had,"
"Yeah, I heard about that one," Josie giggled as she rolled her eyes, Y/n had become aware of her scent, the typical rose smell of a witch however, unlike Lizzie who had a more fruity scent, Josie had a more spicier scent. "So, I'll see you around school sometime?"
"Of course," Y/n smiled as he watched Josie nod before walking off. "Where'd Kaleb run off to?" Y/n shook his head as he turned to face MG again.
"Some people had called him over," MG shrugged his shoulders before looking around. "And I'm gonna love and leave you too, I need to find something to eat," He added with a smirk before fist-bumping Y/n and zipping off.
"Guess I'm going to have to socialise now," Y/n smirked to himself before downing his drink and grabbing another, making his way through the crowd while greeting some people, stopping to talk to others and enjoying the rest of his night.
Y/n walked through the halls with his books in hand and the usual Salvatore School uniform on as he hummed a song to himself, seemingly lost in his own little world. "Oh gosh, there you are," A familiar voice snapped the Kitsune out of his thoughts as he turned to face the blond.
"Lizzie?"
"Did you go to the party last night?" She asked although she didn't have her usual smile on her face as she did so, a scowl forming as Y/n nodded. "Agh, was it fun at least?"
"Not really," Y/n gave a dry chuckle before taking a deep breath. "Seemed a little plain," He explained, watching a smile form on her lips.
"So then I didn't miss much," She let out a relieved sigh. "Other than my sister's ex making out with a vampire..." The relief seemed short-lived as she rolled her eyes.
"What?"
"Yeah, can't say I'm surprised... She always was a bitch after all..." Lizzie shrugged and looked at a confused Nogitsune next to her. "My sister's ex," She quickly clarified as she watched Y/n slowly follow along.
"Oh, thank god, I thought you were saying Josie was a bitch... I was confused there for a second," He chuckled as he placed a hand over his chest.
"Well, her name's Penelope Park so be very careful around her," Lizzie warned as they walked past a few classrooms. "What's your first class?"
"Magic and Witchcraft,"
"Magic?"
"Yeah, apparently people here at this school think a Nogitsune's magic is similar to witchcraft," Y/n rolled his eyes, and an annoyed growl emitted from his throat.
"Ouch," Lizzie tried to hold back her laugh as they reached said class. "Well, I'm a few classes down so I'll see you afterwards,"
"Sure thing, Liz," Y/n chuckled before disappearing into his class.
Y/n walked into the class to find an elderly man sitting behind his desk, reading a book while the class chatted amongst each other, the class was mostly women with a few guys here and there. Y/n always had a dominating presence, it was something most Nogitsune naturally had and that was evident in this very class because the muttering quieted down and a lot of eyes fell onto the Kitsune.
Y/n's e/c eyes scanned the room for an empty seat and when his eyes landed on one closer to the back, he instantly made his way over to it while the eyes followed him until he sat down before the conversations picked up again.
"You again," A familiar voice caught Y/n's attention, Hope Mikaelson sat next to the Kitsune, her eyes finally leaving the window and looking at the man who had taken the seat next to her. "Strange seeing you here,"
"What's wrong, Mikaelson? Thought I'd run away after losing one round to you," Y/n smirked as he cocked his head, looking at her hazelnut eyes.
"Maybe I thought you would be too embarrassed," She fired back, her eyes burning with a challenge as she smiled at the Nogitsune. "You know, being pinned down by a girl,"
"Of course not," Y/n smirked as he leaned in slightly. "Don't worry, next time I'll make sure you're pinned beneath me," He challenged, his cocky grin not faltering.
"Really?" Hope shook her head. "You are going to have to work for that," She challenged him with a smirk.
"I plan on," Y/n almost whispered, just loud enough for Hope to hear, his eyes flickering at the challenge as they heard the teacher in the front of the class cough, signalling the beginning of class. The two looked at each other one last time before Y/n turned his smirk towards the teacher as he leaned on his table.
Y/n didn't like the idea of attending this school but just maybe it would turn out to be something good, just maybe there was hope for this school...
Most of the day had gone by and Y/n was currently walking around the front of the school, closer to the woods so that he could take a break from mixing with everyone and ground himself again, his fox seemed quite active recently so he needed this time to gather himself. "How do you know it was him?!" Y/n heard Hope before eventually seeing her and Alaric not far from him.
"So much for alone time," Y/n muttered to himself but unfortunately the tribrid heard him, her eyes darting in his direction before Alaric's followed.
"Y/n..." Hope muttered before Alaric's cough got her attention again.
"Ancient artefact goes missing along with too-good-to-be-true helpless human? You do the math, Hope," Alaric spoke, seemingly ignoring the presence of the Kitsune as he stopped a few feet away from them, leaning against the tree as he listened in.
"That would make him a liar and I've known my fair share of those and there was nothing about him..." Hope spoke, clearly defending Landon from what Y/n could tell.
"Hope..."
"No, you don't understand," She cut the hunter off. "There's no way that the one time I choose to get close to someone, they turn out to be a liar... I'm not that stupid..."
"Okay," Y/n muttered under his breath as he pushed off the door and got ready to walk off, clearly this was some form of couples therapy and Y/n wasn't in the mood to listen to Alaric's take on that.
"When he walked out the door, we compelled him to go home," Alaric began explaining.
"So?"
"So, he didn't," Alaric added and Y/n froze, okay maybe he was a little bit interested now. "That was the first place we checked," He added and Y/n could see the confusion on Hope's face. "And if he didn't go home, that means his memory wasn't erased and he just pretended it was, and if his mind can't be erased by a supernatural being that can only mean one thing... That he is a supernatural being..." Alaric muttered as he watched the disbelief on Hope's face before shifting his gaze over to the Nogitsune.
Y/n didn't want to answer and put himself in the middle of this so he simply nodded before making his way back to the school, Ash and Mint were what he smelt from Landon but he had no reason to be involved with all this, this was Alaric's and Hope's problem, not his...
Oh, wait... He didn't get a say in this because Alaric had called a meeting with all the students which led to Y/n sitting next to Lizzie with his arms crossed as he glared at the old man. "For ten years we have gone undetected, protecting you, and protecting our secret has been our singular mission," Alaric spoke as he looked at the room full of students. "Tonight I need your help finding Landon Kirby before he exposes us all," Y/n rolled his eyes as he listened.
Did Y/n think there was hope for this school? Nah, he took that back and instead began wondering if running away was better than causing such chaos that Alaric had to kick him out because Y/n didn't sign up to be some cleaner who would clean up after some old hunter who couldn't do his job properly...
