Chapter 2
The Meeting
It's been two weeks since the arrival of Wei Ying everyone in the Jiang sect knew. Nobody treated him badly, there we're a few rumors now and then but for the most part they didn't stick too long.
It just how it used to be, just without their parents..
it had always been the three off them, The Jiang Siblings.
Jiang Yanli took better care of herself, got more sleep, increased her portions of food. She was looking much better than before. Plus her son was all grown up so she didn't have to look after him as ch
Wei Ying would spend time with Jiang Yanli and her son Jiang Cheng left his office more often,
"SHOOT!" Jiang Cheng shouts banging on his desk rising from his seat
"I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THE MEETING WITH THE CLANS ABOUT WEI WINGS RETURN!"
Jiang Cheng shouted rushing to find his older sister Jiang Yanli.
"YANLI! YANLI?!" He shouts with a hint of worry in his voice. "YAN-" He's cut off by his sister's calming voice.
"Chengcheng what's wrong?" She says with concern in her eyes before adding "Why are you so worried?"
Jiang Cheng struggles to catch his breath as he explains, "The meeting, Yanli. We were supposed to discuss Wei Wing's return with the clans. It completely slipped my mind until just now."
His sister's expression turns serious as she realizes the implications. "Oh no," she says, "we can't afford to miss this meeting. It's crucial for maintaining the harmony among the clans and solidifying Wei Wing's place within our sect."
Jiang Cheng nods anxiously. "I know, Yanli. That's why I'm so worried. I can't believe I forgot about something so important."
Yanli takes a deep breath, her voice full of reassurance. "It's understandable, Chengcheng. We all make mistakes sometimes. The important thing now is to find a solution. Let's sit down and talk about the situation, we could try to think of ideas to make everything work out."
"Should we bring Wei Ying into this discussion?"
Jiang cheng asks still tense.
"I think we should, considering this whole meeting is about his return."
Relieved to have his sister's support, Jiang Cheng follows her as they search for their adopted brothe, Wei Ying. As they approach him, Jiang Yanli explains the situation, her tone calm yet urgent.
Wei Ying listens attentively, his brows furrowing in concern.
"This is indeed a problem," he says, his voice firm.
"Your return is a delicate matter, and we cannot afford any missteps. We must find a way to salvage this situation." Yanli says in a serious but soft tone.
Jiang Cheng adds with determination, "I'll personally reach out to the clans and apologize for the oversight. Maybe we can reschedule the meeting for tomorrow. It might be challenging, but we have to make amends."
Wei Ying nods approvingly.
"That's a good plan, Chengcheng. Make sure you emphasize our sincere apologies and assure them that this is an isolated incident. We cannot afford any doubts or misunderstandings."
With a renewed sense of purpose, Jiang Cheng begins making arrangements to contact the clan leaders and reschedule the meeting. Jiang Yanli and Wei Ying stand beside him, offering support and encouragement every step of the way.
Despite the initial panic and worry, the siblings refuse to let this mistake define their actions. Together, they navigate through challenges, making amends and ensuring that the meeting with the clans about Wei Wing's return goes smoothly.
Their determination to uphold their sect's reputation and maintain the harmony among the clans serves as a reminder of their resilience and commitment to their responsibilities. Through their united efforts, they restore order and peace in the face of adversity.
