"Cariad!" Ianto gasped with delight as he took in the room.

There was a large cot in one corner, a small cradle in the middle of the room next to a rocking chair and a matching one by the door, there were clothes, cute little soft toys and even a sweet stary night mobile thing hanging from the ceiling. Along another wall was a bed and a sofa.

"Well… I figured, once one little one is here, he will want a room he can grow into. See? We will be able to change out the furniture for a large bed intime, for now the wet nurse can…" Jack stopped talking as Ianto swing to look at him in such a way that it was like a physical slap.

"Excuse me?" Ianto finally asked in a low tone.

"What?"

"You want a son? And a wet nurse?" Ianto frowned "I do not know if you are simply speaking with no thought in the words you are chosing or if you truly believe this to be correct."

"Well… I don't know… I guess a boy or a girl is welcome as long as they are healthy and happy. I was just… we have Rane and I guess that is why I say he. Rane helped with this, loved closing toys and things from the offered collection" Jack said with confusion.

"Offered… what?"

"Well, so many gifts have poured in, they are all in a room and me and Rane have…. What have I done now?" Jack sighed as Ianto's face started ot crumble, then fix itself into that resolute look of anger.

"Gifts. For my child, yet you keep them? Jack… my love, did it not occur to you that it might bring me joy to see them? To know that others welcome our child's impending arrival as well?" Ianto sighed knowing this was not something he should scold for. Jack was simply not thinking as Ianto does and probably did not want to cause work for him.

"Well… I knew you would fuss and I didn't want you on your feet and… and… I have all the cards. Rose wrote the gift on the back o them… she said you would want to know. I just… you are on your feet too much already. Owen said to stop walking around so much, your poor feet are so swollen" Jack admitted, confirming as Ianto had thought, his only thought was to keep Ianto comfortable.

"Silly. I need to see. To know, it helps me prepare." Ianot explained, smiling to show he had forgiven the man for something that was never a slight in the first place "But… a wet nurse? Cariad, I intend to care for my own child."

"Yes, but as a male Dam your milk will dry up in a week or two after the birth and…"

"I will have milk supplied for my child; I will bottle feed her. Jack, I will not have my child suckle at another's breast. Not EVER again!"

Abigail. Right. Of course, the one who shared breasts with Lisa and their shared children. Who killed said children without a second thought, betrayed them all. Of course. Ianot would trust none, even now.

"Sory… I did not think… of course sweetie. It means I can feed our little one too then, right?" Jack asked seeing a positive in this.

"Of course, bonding is important and it will be nice, right? Imagine, you holding a little bundle of anger, providing a teat and seeing the delight and comfort you bring…. I know you will love it!" Ianto laughed "I sometimes did. When Lisa was too tired and… that woman was working… sometimes another would express into a bottle so I could feed my little one in the darkness, letting everyone else sleep. I loved those moments, looking at little eyelashes fluttering against a fat little cheek, filing with milk and comfort. I know I shall have to fight you for her once the madness takes you too."

Jack was off again "Ah… yes. And see, two cradles, so one can go in our room next to the bed. I know at first little one needs feeds all through the night, this way there will be no need to traipse across the landing… right?"

Ianto smiled as he looked around again and added "well, now Rane has a room too I guess."

Jack froze as he was straightening a little jacket, turning to gape "Oh my goddess on a Dragon. Oh no… I … do you think he sees this as a slight? A room for the new baby when he is still in our room… oh no… he needs…. Oh shit balls!"

Ianto blinked as Jak swore, then started to laugh, his hands sliding around the belly so it didn't jiggle too much She didn't like that.

"Cariad" he finally managed to choke out "He will want that bed there, he will want to be in here with his sibling. As with all of my children, they were together in one room. Not only easier to protect in a time of crisis, but they grow protective of one another. Loving and bonded. He will feel strange in a room on his own. Why I never moved him from us. When the little one it makes sense to be in here, so will he move. Happily, they sort of cluster together like… well… kittens."

A clowder of cats.

Or dragons.

Yes.

A thunder of dragons.

Ianto felt joy in that thought.
