In the Boys' Room.

Jesse finds himself in the Boys' Room, seeking solace from the bustling field trip. He reaches for his phone and dials Jamie's number, his beloved older sister. "Hello, dear sister," he greets her warmly. "I must say, this field trip is proving to be quite enjoyable. You believe I appear sad? Pray, do tell me how you discern such emotions. Is it perhaps your maternal instincts at work? How peculiar, yet fascinating. Nevertheless, I would rather not delve into my predicament at this moment, for it is of a personal nature. No, I am not insecure about my feelings, rest assured. You see, I find myself in the company of some boys from my class, and I believe it would be more appropriate to discuss this matter with you at a later time. Would that be agreeable? Ah, how I cherish you, dear sister. Farewell for now." Jesse gently hangs up the phone, his thoughts lingering on the conversation.

George, a sympathetic friend, notices Jesse's distress and offers some words of comfort. "Fear not, my friend. James may come across as hostile, but I assure you, his relationship with Katie is truly remarkable."

Jesse sighs, his worry etched on his face. "I am aware of that, George. However, I cannot help but feel apprehensive that I may have inadvertently damaged their bond.

"You haven't ruined anything, my friend, but I can empathize with your predicament. You see, I've experienced a similar challenge with Emma's older brother, Daniel. He harbors the belief that I am not worthy of her affections. In fact, he went to great lengths to demonstrate his disapproval by making an unexpected appearance on the set of the television show where I am currently employed. To my dismay, he even resorted to physical aggression, forcefully pushing me to the ground. Little did he know that I was a member of the cast. Fortunately, the security guards, who happen to be my dear friends, promptly intervened and escorted him away from the set. Nevertheless, my dear friend, fret not. I am confident that James will come to realize the error of his ways and endeavor to make amends to both you and Katie. Alas, such is the unfortunate consequence of developing feelings for a young lady who happens to have an older sibling. Drama, it seems, inevitably ensues." George eloquently expresses.

"That might be true, but my feelings for Katie are purely platonic. We're just friends, despite the slight age and grade difference. It seems like that fact unsettled James. He mentioned how Katie should be with someone closer to her age and height. Honestly, I'm not much taller than her, maybe just a mere five inches. My doctor even says I'm shorter than average for my age," Jesse explains.

"Well, that's not such a big deal," George comments.

"I know, right?" Jesse agrees with a sigh. "I'm heading to the vending machine. Anyone want anything?"

"No, thanks," George declines.

"I'm good," Tyler responds.

"Not hungry," Max adds.

"Me too," Kenny chimes in.

"Alright then," Jesse says, accepting their answers.

"I'll come along. We could use more ice," Tyler offers.

"Sure," Jesse agrees, and they make their way towards the machines.

As they reach the vending machine and ice area, Tyler senses a pair of eyes on them and turns around, startled to find James standing there.

"Tyler, something seems amiss. Are you alright?" Jesse asks, their eyes finally landing on James, causing a ripple of unease to course through their veins. "What is it that you desire?"

"I simply require more ice for the room," James responds nonchalantly.

"Well, I'm currently using the machine. You'll have to exercise some patience, you insufferable rogue!" Tyler retorts.

"Very well, I shall wait. But Jesse, can we find a moment to converse?" James requests.

"Unfortunately, this isn't the appropriate time nor place, James," Jesse conveys apologetically, snatching their snack from the vending machine. "I must be honest with you. Your mere presence fills me with sheer terror. Although I cherish my friendship with Katie, if it causes you such distress, I am prepared to sever ties to avoid further chaos."

"You are nothing more than a bully, James," Tyler interjects, knocking the ice bucket out of James' hand, and strides away, Jesse following closely behind.

James sighs, refills the ice bucket, and returns to the room.

"Gosh I'm a horrible person."

"What's wrong NOW?" Kendall is frustrated.

"I spotted Jesse and Tyler at the vending machine and ice machine. Jesse informed me he's frightened of me and is breaking up his friendship with Katie. Tyler labeled me a bully."

Sighs.

"I really messed up."

"Yeah you sure did." Carlos states.

"Perhaps tomorrow will be better." Goodnight." Logan hints that he wants their chat to come to an end.

"I could really use some advice." According to James.

"In the arcade, I offered you a lot of provide guidance. You didn't pay attention to me." Kendall explains.

"Guys, I'm exhausted. "Could you please turn off all of the lights?" Logan says this while clearly worn out.

"Yeah, we're going to bed now." Logan, I apologize for the inconvenience. Kendall says then switches off the lights.

George's phone rings about 2:30 a.m. in the Boys' Room, startling him awake, and fourtunately no one else is awake. "Hello?" He does it in a drowsy whisper.

"I need your help with Spike!" Daniel says frantically.

"Daniel? How did you access my phone number? I didn't give it to you." George says this in a perplexing manner.

"That isn't relevant right now. Just explain to me what to do!" Daniel replies.

Enters the bathroom and shuts the door. "What are you on about?" What's the issue? And do you have any idea what TIME it is?!" George expresses his annoyance at his disrespect.

"Stop whining and help me!" Spike is hiding beneath a rock and refuses to come out when I feed him. I believe he is sick! So, doofus, tell me what to do!" Daniel insists.

"OK, enough with the insults, there's something called the internet." Use that to look up whatever the problem is, but Spike should be fine. I'm not an expert just because I own a reptile, and I don't enjoy the harsh awakening. "Please do not call me again!" George says, rolling his eyes as he hangs up the phone and returns to bed.

Wednesday.

Everyone gets out of bed and heads downstairs for breakfast. Kendall has to drag Katie down the hall because she refuses to walk, and he restrains her on the elevator.

He sets her down once they go downstairs.

"I'll go get you some breakfast." Simply remain seated at your table. Ok?" He rubs her head affectionately before leaving to retrieve her meal.

"Good morning, Katie. "Do you mind if I sit here?" Tyler inquires.

He sits down when she nods her head no.

"I hope you start feeling better soon." You're too beautiful to be sad."

She raises her head and grins slightly at him.

Kendall returns with the food and sits at a table with the other members of the band.

In the buffet line.

"Are you okay, George?" You appear exhausted." Emma says.

"It's all thanks to your brother." He contacted me at 2:30 this morning, pleading with me to assist him with Spike. He kept asking that I offer him solid advice, accusing me of whining when I told him how late it was and calling me a doofus. He wouldn't even tell me how he got my phone number and said it didn't matter how he knows." George yawns, his voice somewhat displeased.

"Oh my goodness, that's terrible. And I definitely did not give him your phone number." Emma says.

"I know you'd never do something like that. I just don't understand why he called me at such an inconvenient time." According to George.

"I don't get it either. I'll talk to him, and when I go home, he'll be dead meat." Emma states.

"Thanks. He'll undoubtedly be upset that I turned him in to you." According to George.

"That's his problem not yours." Emma states.

They proceed to their seats.

Jesse decides to sit alone and barely eats his plate of food.

Katie observes him and walks over to his table to comfort him. "Good morning Jesse."

"We can't be seen talking with each other." James will be furious." Jesse states.

"I don't care about that I care about you." Katie states.

"We can no longer be friends." I made the decision last night when I spoke with him. Your bond with him is too precious to jeopardize. I hate to say goodbye to our friendship, but it's the only way he'll be happy. I'm truly sorry, Katie." Jesse groans and gets up to toss away his food as he looks at her with sadness.

She is heartbroken, distressed, indignant, and perplexed as she sits there.

She gets up and marches over to BTR's table, glaring at James. "When we get back to L.A., I'm going to put you through a world of unbearable agonizing pain." You ruined my life, therefore I'm going to ruin yours. And I HATE you!"

Angrily, she walks away.

The boys are speechless.

"Angry Katie is scary." Carlos expresses himself.

"Regular Katie is scary." Logan brings this up.

"Congratulations, James. She now officially resents you." Isn't that wonderful? You got exactly what you wanted. She and Jesse are no longer close friends. And when we come back home, she'll torture you indefinitely."

"This isn't what I wanted at all." James states.

"Then what did you want, James?" They're both sad, and it's all your fault." Kendall states.

"I just wanted her to be happy." Jesse says.

"She WAS happy and you took that away from her." Kendall explains.

"I didn't mean to take it this far." According to James.

"You always go too far, and now your actions have created a huge mess." Again!" Kendall exhales a sigh. "I hope you learned your lesson this time, because hate is a strong, mean, and powerful word, and I don't believe she said it in anger." "I believe she meant it."

They return to the museum once everyone is dressed.

"Good morning, class." The Osher Rainforest is the exhibit we'll be visiting today. There will be birds, reptiles, amphibians, golden silk orb weaver spiders, and giant Amazonian fish that will soar overhead. Enjoy." Miss Collins says as they take the elevator to the fifth level.

Butterflies flutter about them.

"They're really lovely. Isn't it incredible, Katie?" Tyler states.

"Yeah they're ok." Katie expresses herself unenthusiastically.

She makes no attempt to try and look it up.

"You want me to film for you?" Tyler inquires.

"Yeah sure do what you want." Katie sighs lamentably. "I don't care."

"Please lift Katie's spirits. This area is fantastic." Tyler states.

"I apologize, Tyler." I apologize for being so negative; I'm simply not feeling myself today." Katie states.

"I see what you're saying. You are not required to apologize." Tyler states.

"Logan look up there. "I read about the life cycle of a butterfly on the internet, and when they're ready to change from a caterpillar, they wrap themselves in a cocoon and then form into a crystal miss," Carlos adds.

"It's called a chrysalis, but it's very good, Carlos." You learned a lot." Logan explains.

"I sure did." Carlos exudes confidence.

"James is your traveling companion. Go chat to him. Ok?" Logan explains.

"He's not my friend right now. He did something wicked to Katie and Jesse." Carlos expresses himself.

"I know he did buddy but he needs a good friend right now and that's you." Logan explains.

In another part of the dome.

"I can't believe it. Did you see the way she looked at me? The way she said it?" James says, feeling guilty over how mad Katie is at him.

"Yeah, James, I was right there when it happened. Isn't Carlos your travel buddy? Go express your guilt to him," Kendall says.

"He won't talk to me. I can't get a word out of him," James says.

"Well, whose fault is that? Look, James, I know you feel bad and I know you're sorry, but you really messed up. Katie is never going to let this go. Like ever," Kendall says.

Carlos walks up to James and looks back at Logan, who gives him a thumbs up, then back at him.

"I'm here for you. I don't like you right now, but I'm here for you," the young Latino says.

"Thanks, Carlos," James says.
