Chapter 5: Zelda & Sheik
In Hyrule, Princess Zelda watched her kingdom from her bedroom window. Her thoughts were on her beloved Link. She knew that he enjoys being a part of Smash, and things in the kingdom was peaceful, but it didn't mean she couldn't miss him being around. "Oh, Link. If only I could show you how much I miss you." She said.
Just then, there was a knock at her door. "Come in." Zelda called. The door opened, revealing one of her guards. "Pardon my intrusion, Princess. But we received a letter for you." The guard said. "A letter for me? Is it from Link?" Zelda asked hopefully. "Actually, it doesn't say who it's from. But the seal suggests it's from the Smash Bros." The guard said. Zelda was surprised by this. The guard handed her the letter, bowed to her and left.
Zelda looked at the letter, sat down at her table, opened the envelope and started to read the letter.
Dear Zelda/Sheik
You have been invited to join us in the Super Smash Bros. If you wish to accept this invite, your life will be filled with excitement and adventure as you compete against your fellow smashers in a series of competitions. We would be very honored if you would accept this invitation.
Sincerely, Mario
Zelda gasped. "I'm invited to Smash?! That means…I'm gonna see Link again?!" She asked herself in cheerful surprise. "I even get to fight as Sheik again?! I haven't done anything as Sheik in years." She then looked out the window, staring at her kingdom. "But I can't leave Hyrule unattended. But then again, I'd really like to see Link again. What am I gonna do?" She asked herself. But then, she got an idea.
She called the Hyrule Council to a very important meeting. "Members of the council, I've called you here because I have something important to say." She started. The council listened closely. "I'm taking a leave of absence to join Link and his friends in Smash. So, I will be leaving the duties of Hyrule in your hands." She revealed. The council was shocked to hear this and were muttering to each other. "I trust that Hyrule will be safe under your care while I'm gone." Zelda said. The council nodded to each other. "We will not let you down, Princess Zelda." The Zora councilwoman said. "Good. Then that concludes this meeting. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have packing to do." Zelda said.
Later, Zelda boarded a ship that would take her to Smash. As the ship set sail, after waving goodbye to her friends, Zelda walked towards the front of the ship and stared out to the horizon. "I hope you're ready, Link. When it comes to Smash, I'm not planning to play around." She said.
