Frisk frowned slightly recalling that the quiz was dangerous but at the same time she remembered that Alphys would be subtly giving her the answers. "That sounds like it might be hard, but I'll do my best to answer your questions."
"That's the right attitude darling." Mettaton mentioned enthusiastically. "Let's start things off right away with the first question, what's the prize for answering correctly?"
Frisk closed her eyes in thought hearing that before smiling. "More questions?"
"That is absolutely correct." Mettaton replied. "It looks like you understand the rules so let's move onto the next question. What's the king's full name?"
"The king's name?" Frisk repeated as she looked up in thought. "I think… oh, King Asgore Dreemurr."
"Correct again, what a terrific answer!" Mettaton complimented. "Let's move right along to the next question, what are robots made of?"
Pausing at that question Frisk looked at Mettaton again before pausing. "Well it looks like metal, and… magic?"
"Another correct answer! Are these questions too easy for you?" Mettaton asked curiously. "Well how about this? Two trains, Train A and Train B, simultaneously depart Station A and Station B. Station A and Station B are 252.5 miles apart from each other. Train A is moving at 124.7mph towards Station B, and Train B is moving at 253.5mph towards station A. If both trains departed at 10:00AM and it is now 10:08, how much longer until both trains pass each other?"
Frisk's eyes widened slightly having forgotten how complicated that question was as she frowned trying to remember from previous resets what the answer was only to glance over as Alphys was subtly holding up a series of numbers on her fingers.
"I think… 32 minutes? Maybe a little more?" Frisk asked.
"Can you be more specific darling?" Mettaton requested. "Here, I'll make it a little bit easier is it A. 32. 049 minutes, or B. 32. 058 minutes?"
"Um… 32.058?" Frisk guessed uncertainly.
"Wonderful! I'm simply astounded you got that one right." Mettaton pointed out. "Well, let's move on to the next question."

Sans sighed as he was lying against the mountain at the end of Waterfall trying to catch his breath after the long battle with Undyne. Closing his eyes he thought back to the battle he had with Frisk when she told him about this whole crazy plan as he looked at Chara's SOUL.
"This plan, I'm supposed to get kill every Monster and that's supposed to bring Chara back from the dead but… is it really going to work the way she thinks?" he questioned. "I mean, all this LOVE, Chara's Level of Violence is going to be unimaginably high, what's going to stop this entire plan from falling apart when I get to her timeline?"
As if in response to Sans question the SOUL seemed to pulse and glow brighter getting his attention as he shook his head and closed his eyes again.
"Well, I guess if the worst happens Frisk can try and come up with another plan with her version of me and Alphys. Speaking of which, I should be getting to her lab soon." he noted thoughtfully. "I wonder what's waiting for me there… or, under her lab to be more specific."
Taking another slow breath, he got up and continued heading towards Hotland and even more monsters he had to kill.

Frisk frowned as she stared at the jar Mettaton was holding as it was full of flies, she wasn't sure how many were in it but she noticed Alphys subtly indicating a number to her as she pinked. "Um… fifty… fifty-four?"
"Another correct answer! You're a real genius, aren't you?" Mettaton asked Frisk. "Let's try another question, What monster is this?"
Mettaton showed Frisk a picture of a Froggit but she noticed Alphys signaling no to her as she blinked before pausing as she remembered what Mettaton was doing to try and trick her before she turned to him. "I think that's you Mettaton."
"You remembered, I'm so flattered." Mettaton mentioned as he seemed to blush somehow. "Though moving right along to the next question, would you smooch a ghost?"
"Of course." Frisk smiled. "I would smooch a ghost."
"Great answer! I love it!" Mettaton declared as he turned around before grinning. "Ok, let's try an easy one… how many letters in the name Mettatonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn?"
Frisk blinked at how long Mettaton made his name but fortunately her memory and a quick glance towards Alphys told her the answer.
"forty-seven letters." she answered after a bit as Mettaton looked at her.
"I had a feeling you'd get that one. You're very smart human." Mettaton admitted as he flexed his fingers. "Let's bring out the big guns, in the dating simulation game "Mew Mew Kissy Cutie" what is Mew Mew's favorite food?"
Alphys's eyes widened in excitement hearing that question. "OH! OH! I KNOW THIS ONE! IT'S SNAIL ICE CREAM! IN THE FOURTH CHAPTER EVERYONE GOES TO THE BEACH! AND SHE BUYS ICE CREAM FOR ALL OF HER FRIENDS! BUT IT'S SNAIL FLAVOR AND SHE'S THE ONLY ONE WHO WANTS IT! IT'S ONE OF MY FAVORITE PARTS OF THE GAME BECAUSE IT'S ACTUALLY A VERY POWERFUL message about friendship and…"
She trailed off at that realizing she was blurting out the answer to the question that Mettaton just asked Frisk.
"Alphys, Alphys, Alphys, you haven't been helping out contestant, have you?" Mettaton inquired as Alphys looked down nervously. "Ooooooh! You should have told me. In that case, I'll be sure to ask a question you know the answer to."
"Huh, no you don't have to…" Alphys started nervously hearing that.
"Human, who does Dr. Alphys have a crush on?" Mettaton asked causing Alphys to blush and cover her face with her hands.
Hearing that Frisk paused and closed her eyes before trying to remember what she said the first time. "Um… I'm not sure? Undyne?"
Alphys covered her face in embarrassment at that as Mettaton turned to her. "See Alphys? I told you it was obvious. Even the human figured it out."
Mettaton turned back to Frisk. "Yes, she scrawls her name in the margins of her notes. She names programming variables after her. She even writes stories of them together… sharing a domestic life."
"That sounds sweet." Frisk smiled warmly.
"True, probability of crush 101%, margin of error 1%." Mettaton mentioned before shrugging. "Well well well. With Dr. Alphys helping you… this show has no dramatic tension! We can't go on like this! But. But! This was just the pilot episode! Next up, more drama! More romance! More bloodshed! Until next time, darlings…!"
With that said Mettaton turned his wheel into a rocket and flew off causing Alphys to just look at where he had been standing awkwardly.
"Well um… that was awkward." Alphys admitted. "But at least everything's ok now right?"
Nodding Frisk walked over with a smile. "It was kind of fun though."
"Oh, you really think so?" Alphys asked before blushing slightly. "He wasn't supposed to ask that last question though."
"The Mew Mew Kissy Cutie one? Or do you mean the one about…" Frisk started only for Alphys to blush badly. "Oh, sorry if I embarrassed you."
Alphys blinked slightly before shaking her head. "Oh, no it's ok it wasn't your fault that he did that. Oh… actually let me give you my phone number… that way, if you get stuck on a puzzle I could maybe… call and help… a little bit?"
Smiling at that Frisk nodded handing Alphys her phone. "That sounds perfect."
Alphys took Frisk's phone only to pause as her eyes widened. "Wait where did you get this phone? It's ancient! It doesn't even have texting."
Frisk blinked as she looked at the phone. "It doesn't? I didn't notice that."
"Give me a second, I think I can upgrade this for you." Alphys mentioned walking off with the phone as Frisk closed her eye in thought only to smile slightly recalling how Toriel learned to send text messages and how Sans taught her about emojis. Giggling slightly to herself she soon noticed Alphys walking back with her phone.
"Oh, I can send texts now?" she asked as she gently took the phone from Alphys and looked at it.
"Ye… yeah, it can send texts, it can help manage any items you pick up on your journey, I added a cute keychain." Alphys answered with a smile only to pause. "Oh, and I even signed you up to the Underground's number one social network."
"Really, you did all of that?" Frisk asked with a smile. "Thank you."
Alphys's eyes widened hearing that as she blushed slightly. "Oh… um, you're welcome. Actually, we're officially friends now too."
Frisk smiled at that. "Really? That's great to hear."
Alphys blushed again hearing that only for an awkward silence to fill the lab as she nervously looked to the side a few times before looking down. "I… need to use the bathroom."
With that she ran off and through a door as Frisk frowned knowing that door actually led to the other lab where the Amalgamates lived and where Alphys felt she made a horrible mistake by injecting them with Deterimnation.
'Don't worry Alphys, I promise everything will work out.' Frisk thought as she walked out of the lab.
Suddenly her phone buzzed as she took it out.
Alphys Updated Status: Just realized I didn't watch Undyne fight the human.
Frisk shuddered slightly remembering the fight she had with Undyne where she spent most of it trying not to die and running for her life but at the same time she was friends with Undyne now which was a good thing.

Sans paused looking at the entrance to Alphys's lab only to pause and close his eyes. "Not much farther, I still don't know if this crazy plan of ours will even work… then again who knows? Now that I think about it… she wasn't even fighting seriously back then."
Flashback:
Sans was standing in the judgment hall waiting for the human to show up, she'd been murdering every single monster in the Underground, and it wasn't just that… she'd killed Papyrus in cold blood and that dirty brother killer was going to be judged for her sins. As if on cue the sounds of slow footsteps echoed in the hall as Sans looked to see the human walking towards him holding a knife with a heart-shaped locket around her neck.
"Heya. You've been busy, huh?" Sans inquired calmly. "So, I've got a question for you. Do you think even the worse person can change?"
The human almost seemed to hesitate hearing that though Sans knew it was all just an act to get him to lower his guard like all the other monsters she murdered, the dust was covering her body and clothes.
"That everybody can be a good person, if they just try?" he continued only for the human to take a slow step forward causing him to chuckle. "Alright. Well, here's a better question. Do you wanna have a bad time?"
The human visibly tensed at that, not that it should be that surprising considering what she did but still the action was something Sans took note of as he glared at her with his empty eye-sockets.
"'Cause if you take another step forward… you are really not going to like what happens next."
The human almost seemed to hesitate for a brief moment before as Sans expected she took that one final step.
"Welp. Sorry old lady. This is why I never make promises." Sans sighed as he got ready to dunk this human.
End Flashback:
"To think she went through all that, just to give us the tiniest chance of freedom… I don't know what you're doing right now Frisk, but hopefully you're making a lot of great friends, including with the other me." Sans sighed as he looked at Alphys's lab and slowly walked over to continue killing his fellow monsters.
(Frisk managed to get past Mettaton's quiz and Alphys upgraded her phone, while Sans recalled the end of the previous genocide timeline. Next chapter Frisk's journey will continue. As always any reviews or critique is appreciated.)
