"Harry, did you intentionally buy these tickets here?" Gabrielle asked, as if reading his mind. Harry Potter led her down the row until they reached their seats and looked back at her over his shoulder. "Yes, I thought we could make Louis jealous. Are you mad?"
Gabrielle laughed and leaned forward, kissing him on the cheek. "I like the way you think."
"I'm here with a beautiful girl," he said. "I want the world to see that." They reached their seats and sat down before Gabrielle snuggled up to him.
She leaned in closely, pressing her leg against his, and brushed the back of his hand with her thumb. "Thank you for bringing me here. Ex-boyfriend or not, I still love coming to matches."
"Have you seen the rooftop seats on my grandfather's side of the stadium?" He pointed to the wall of the left field. "They're insanely good."
"Fleur told me about them, but I've never been there." She squeezed his hand. "Maybe we can visit your grandfather during the next match?"
He smiled and took a sip of beer. His grandfather would be ecstatic to have Gabrielle Delacour visit. "Are you going out with me?"
She popped a piece of popcorn into her mouth and smiled. "And so what?"
"Gab, what's with the change of heart?"
She furrowed her brow. "What do you mean?"
"Before we ran into Tracey, you put me in the friend zone. Am I still like a little brother to you? Because this feels completely different."
Gabrielle stared at his face for a long moment before speaking. "I could come up with some silly excuse, but the truth is, when I saw Tracey looking at you, something broke inside me. I was insanely jealous and felt like I was seeing you for the first time. Maybe I took for granted that you would always be there for me like a safe backup plan." She stepped closer and squeezed his hand. "I'm broken in that way. I don't know why."
"If Tracey suddenly lost interest in me, would you lose interest too?" he asked.
The crowd roared as the team took the field for the pre-match warm-up. Gabrielle's ex-boyfriend hopped on his broom, and his entire team flew up in the air with him, practicing their throws. Harry hadn't seen them yet, but with a bit of luck, he would catch them before the end of the evening. "You two looked really cozy earlier," Gabrielle said. "I saw her kiss you in the training room."
"You were spying on me?" he asked. "And you didn't answer my question."
She shrugged. "I'm jealous. And since we're not officially dating, I can't get mad at you for being kissed. It just makes me want you even more. Would I lose interest? She shook her head. "I know what's in store for me now. I don't want to screw it up."
"And what about your ex? You broke up with him a few days ago. Is it really over between you two?"
She looked at the Quidditch players and back at him. "I feel nothing. He was a jerk. Always has been. You're the real deal." She shrugged. "It's like a light switch for me. One moment I'm all in, and the next I'm all out. Does that make me a bad girl?"
"Maybe you haven't found what you're looking for," he suggested.
"Maybe what I was looking for is right in front of me. I'm feeling really strong emotions now," Gabrielle said. "For example, what would you say if we slept naked tonight?"
Harry's legs went weak, and his cheeks flushed hot. "Honestly? That would be the most amazing night of my life."
"Good answer." She leaned in and kissed him behind the ear, then down his jawline, until they were face to face and their lips met. Gabrielle opened her mouth, let out a soft moan, and their tongues collided.
She tasted like sweet cinnamon, and her tongue tickled his lips. His cock tightened in his jeans as her warm breath from her nostrils wrapped around his upper lip.
The crowd roared around them, soon spreading throughout the stadium.
Gabrielle and Harry broke the kiss, and he looked at the large observation screen near their section of the stands.
"Oh my God, look!" Gabrielle grabbed his arm and laughed, pointing at a large hologram showing a close-up of them kissing in the middle of the pitch, surrounded by floating hearts and lips.
She laughed and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him into another kiss, this time for the crowd.
The crowd in the stadium roared with approval, and even the players on the field watched the large screen. The cameraman finally gave them a break before they broke the kiss and laughed.
"What are you doing, Gabrielle?" a deep voice from the field said.
They turned and saw Gabrielle's ex-boyfriend looking at them.
Harry felt like he had stepped into the dark zone. Louis was one of the biggest Quidditch stars, and here he was, embracing Harry's girlfriend on the big screen.
Gabrielle intertwined her fingers with his and turned to Louis, leaning in. She furrowed her brow. "It's game day, and I'm on a date. She kissed Harry on the cheek, and his stomach churned with a mix of fear and excitement.
Her ex-boyfriend glared at him, his eyes seething with anger. "I suggest you keep your hands off my girl."
Gramps hadn't prepared him for this. Honesty would be pointless against an angry Quidditch player who was one step away from being suspended for a positive steroid test. Maybe he had pushed a little too far, but he couldn't back down in front of Gabrielle. "She's with me now." He put his arm around Gabrielle and held her tightly. "You had your chance. She's with me."
Gabrielle smiled and kissed him on the cheek again before resting her head on his shoulder and looking at Louis.
A short, chubby, gray-haired manager appeared behind her ex-boyfriend. "Louis, get your ass on the field."
Louis glanced at Harry and Gabrielle, and inside, Harry felt himself shrink, trying to maintain an air of confidence.
Without a word, the Quidditch player turned and flew onto the field.
Harry took a deep breath and settled comfortably in his seat, while Gabrielle turned to him. "Thank you," she said, leaning in for a kiss, this time on the lips. "Did you mean what you said?"
Harry furrowed his brow and traced the back of her neck with his thumb. "What did I mean?"
"Am I with you?" she asked, a hopeful look on her face.
He held her gaze, contemplating his answer. Their relationship had gone from the friend zone to the hot zone in record time. Was it too fast? Would it vanish as quickly as it appeared? Gabrielle was the type of girl who easily got bored, and there was a thin line between a jerk like her ex who made everything exciting and a passive guy like Harry was just two days ago. Could he keep up appearances? Or would reality come crashing down around him?
The old him could throw the ball right back into her court, asking her the same question, refusing to take the risk. The new him had risked it all and answered honestly. "You're with me." It wasn't a question, and Gabrielle was ecstatic to hear it.
She leaned in and kissed him on the lips again, then whispered in his ear. "You're really lucky tonight."
Louis fueled his anger by aggressively blocking multiple attacks on his goals throughout the match, and in the end, he caught the Snitch. After the match, a guy standing behind Harry grabbed his arm. "Dude, steal her away. At this rate, we'll win the World Championship."
Gabrielle turned to the guy and looked at him. "I don't think so."
The guy laughed and slapped Harry on the shoulder as he high-fived the guy next to him. They left the stadium arm in arm.
"Where should we go for dinner?" Harry asked. "Or we can grab a drink and some snacks somewhere."
She looped her arm through his and looked at him. "Can we just go home? Her green eyes sparkled with an intensity he had never seen directed at him. "We can order food after sex."
Fuck. Harry's stomach dropped, and his heart soared high above Paris. Nervous energy rippled down his spine, and he hoped he wouldn't embarrass himself during the act. "Though a moment ago, it was just our first kiss."
The elevator couldn't go fast enough, and Gabrielle and Harry spent the entire ride with closed mouths and their tongues exploring each other's lips.
He resisted the temptation to touch her amazing body. Once he started, he couldn't stop, and if the doors opened, he didn't want anyone to find Gabrielle half-dressed. Not to mention he was just minutes away from releasing himself in his pants. Thoughts of knocking the horse over circled in the back of his mind before consummating their relationship. If he could last thirty seconds inside her, he would consider it a great success.
The elevator doors opened with a buzz, interrupting their kiss. The hallway was empty, but the taste of Gabrielle's tongue lingered in Harry's mouth. His cock was raging, hard as a rock and dripping with semen. He took a quick, uneven breath as Gabrielle walked out, pulling him along.
Harry looked down at Gabrielle's tight ass, and his stomach churned. He had fantasized about her naked a million times, and those dreams were on the verge of becoming reality.
Side by side, they hurried down the corridor, racing toward the apartment door. That's when they heard the screams.
Harry and Gabrielle stopped in front of the closed apartment door, listening to Fleur yelling something Harry couldn't understand, and Bill responded with a clear and loud "Fuck off."
"We need to get in there," he said, searching for the key in his pocket.
"Hurry," Gabrielle said, her face filled with worry.
Harry opened the door and stepped inside, hearing Fleur's furious voice.
"You're obsessed with her," Fleur said. "Are you stalking her?"
"No," Bill replied. "I'm not obsessed. She's a pretty girl. Sue me."
"Are you jealous of your youngest brother's friend?" Fleur asked. "Maybe I should fuck Harry, and then you'll notice me."
"I don't have to listen to this shit," Bill said.
Harry grabbed Gabrielle's hand before they left the hallway for the living room.
Bill and Fleur stood facing each other, separated by a coffee table. Fleur had red eyes and mascara on her face. Bill's shirts were unbuttoned, his tie disheveled, and his normally slicked-back hair twisted at odd angles, revealing a thin bald spot Harry didn't know existed. "What's going on?" he asked.
Gabrielle let go of his hand and approached her sister. "Sweetie, are you okay?" She opened her arms, and Fleur melted into them, sobbing, leaving Bill and Harry facing each other.
"What the hell happened?" Harry asked Ron's brother.
"She thinks I have an obsession with Tracey," he said.
Gabrielle tried to calm her sister, but Fleur continued to sob before turning to Bill. "You have like twenty of her pictures in your work folder. How am I supposed to react to that?"
He knew Bill had a few issues, but this was bordering on psychosis. Gabrielle and Harry exchanged worried glances.
Bill's eyes were filled with anger. "It's all from Gringotts," he said. "You can check it. I'm not stalking her with a high-powered telephoto lens."
"But you would," she said. "And now you're jealous of Harry."
Bill's face sagged, and he looked on the verge of tears. "I'm not jealous of my younger brother's friend."
He turned to Harry, trying to maintain his composure, but clearly struck a nerve. Oh, how the tables had turned. He didn't understand that Fleur was simply spectacular. She was every inch a Tracey goddess. Harry stared at Ron's brother, not knowing what to say.
Gabrielle held her sister in her arms, rubbing her back as Fleur sobbed. "Get the fuck out of here, Bill," Fleur said.
"This is my apartment," he said. "I'm the one paying for it. Get out."
Gabrielle looked at Harry as if she wanted him to intervene. "Bill, can we talk? Outside?" he asked, trying to maintain a calm demeanor.
He walked past Harry and opened the front door, and Harry followed him into the hallway.
He closed the door behind them as Harry paced on the carpet, ironically just outside Tracey's door. Could she hear their argument? He remembered her telling him she was spending the evening studying, and for her sake, he hoped she wasn't home.
"Is what Fleur said true?" Harry asked.
"Yes," he replied. "But I'm not a freak, if that's what you're implying. She's a beautiful girl, and I kept a few of her pictures. They're all publicly available. It's not like I'm hiding cameras in her apartment."
The fact that he even mentioned such a possibility terrified Harry. "You understand how much it hurts Fleur, right?"
"Save me the sensitivity crap," Bill said. "She's lucky to live in such a place."
"So she's supposed to tolerate your obsession with another girl? Screw you, man," Harry said. "I'm trying to help you."
Bill rolled his eyes. "You know what? Screw it. If she wants me out, I'll leave." He turned away from Harry and walked down the hallway before pressing the elevator button.
"Damn it!" he yelled and kicked the trash can before the elevator doors opened, and he disappeared inside.
Harry went back inside and closed the door behind him. If his best friend's brother continued to disregard Fleur, he would have to help her move out. She couldn't live with a tyrant. But on the other hand, they had argued and made up multiple times.
He found Fleur and Gabrielle on the couch, huddled together. Fleur's sobs had subsided, and they whispered to each other softly.
"I don't know," Fleur said. "He was distant, but I've never seen him so focused on another girl before. We can leave," Gabrielle said. "My friend has enough space for both of us."
"Bill just left," Harry said, standing behind them. "My grandfather's townhouse is big enough to accommodate an army, and he's there alone. If need be, we can move in together tomorrow."
Fleur smiled at him, her eyes filling with tears. "You're so sweet." She squeezed his hand and turned back to Gabrielle. "I told you he's sweet."
"I know," Gabrielle said, tilting her head back and smiling at him. "We definitely crossed the line of friendship, didn't we, love?"
He leaned in and gently kissed her lips, and Fleur's eyes widened.
"Agreed," he said.
"That was fast," Fleur said, looking between them with an open mouth, as if registering the second tectonic shift of the day. "I guess I don't need to ask how the date went."
"You know what? Maybe I'll make you some tea," Harry suggested. "It always calms the nerves." "Thank you, Harry," Fleur said. "I'd really appreciate that."
He left the sisters to their conversation and went to the kitchen to prepare a hot cup of tea for Fleur. When he returned, he found Gabrielle gently stroking Fleur's hair, and Fleur had quickly fallen asleep, her head resting on Gabrielle's lap. Gabrielle looked at him apologetically before he set the cup down.
"I don't want to wake her," Gabrielle whispered. "She shouldn't be alone tonight. Can I sleep with her? I'm sorry, Harry. I promise I'll make it up to you."
