Chapter Seven

Serana

"You should drink this." Serana handed her the goblet.

Evelynn sat up cautiously. "What is it?"

Serena just looked at her, widening her eyes.

"Oh…" she took a sip. Then drank steadily until the cup was empty.

Serana couldn't believe how calm Evelynn was. She was a vampire hunter, she should be furious. Was she really only concerned that Serana might not want her anymore?

"Shouldn't you be sleeping?" Evelynn asked her.

"Shouldn't you?"

Evelynn looked down and shrugged. "I don't really feel any different. Outside isn't exactly fun, but here I just feel like me.

Her Dovahkiin still smelled the same. Still smelled of warmth and the forest. Her scent was closely mingled with Serana's, but she'd really thought it was just because they'd been all over each other. But she'd healed her as a vampire, not a mortal. She knew now that her blood was no longer hers, but Serana's as well. Serana tried not to enjoy the thought.

"You still look very much the same…" Serana couldn't understand.

Evelynn looked up and smiled brightly at her. Those small fangs looked so… cute. Her eyes had remained untouched, still the purest silver. Serana was glad she hadn't lost that.

"How are you feeling?" Serana gently touched her face. She still felt her exact warm temperature. Skin still golden tan.

"Better, thank you."

"Do you have any questions?" Serena sat on the bed with her.

Evelynn shook her head.

Serana reached out and took her hand. "You can ask me anything, Evelynn."

"You're upset about this…"

"That's not a question, Love. But… yes. I'm upset that my carelessness has done this to you."

"Do you feel… stuck with me now?"

Oh gods… she really was just a scared kid who wanted love. She pulled Evelynn into her lap. "I feel like I've tarnished you. I want to be with you, Evelynn. I want to keep you for as long as I can. But it feels so selfish to be happy about this. It wasn't planned, I just stopped paying attention and being responsible. And it's done this to you."

"I don't mind…"

"Maybe you will later."

"I was going to ask… later."

"Ask what?"

Evelynn remained quiet, her ears flashing scarlet.

"Evelynn…?"

She hid her face.

"... You were going to ask me to turn you…"

She weakly nodded.

"Why? You just turned me down on that. I had to soul trap you because you didn't want to be a vampire, Evelynn." This girl was infuriating.

"I didn't want to do it because we had to… I wanted it to be because we wanted to."

Serana sighed. "I do want you, Evelynn. If that's What you're really worried about, don't."

"Even if I'm not a wolf?"

"You'll always be my wolf," she kissed the top of her head.

"Is it really noticeable? Is Isran going to kill me?"

"What's bizarre is… No. It's really not noticeable. Just don't smile much around him."

"That ought to be hard around his infectious, bubbly personality."

Serana laughed. "Come on. Let's get a little sleep, and figure out more in the morning."

"Evening?"

She rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Just. Sleep."

Evelynn

"Wake up, sleepyhead."

Evelynn looked through blurry eyes. So tired. She groaned and rolled over, covering her head again. Serana laughed and pulled the sheets off of her.

"Gods, you are evil."

Serana doubled over laughing. Evelynn glared at the noise. She stifled her hysterics. "Sorry… you get used to the noises. But… you should see how cranky you look." She snorted more chuckles.

Evelynn sighed. "What time is it?" She rubbed her eyes.

"Almost sunset."

Evelynn groaned again and put her feet on the cold floor.

"I, uh, brought you this. It should perk you up." Serana set a glass down on the end table.

Evelynn raised the glass in a cheers and downed it. Still warm.

Serana smiled. "You'll learn to do that more gracefully. Here." She licked the blood from the corners of Evelynns' mouth.

Evelynn froze.

"What's wrong? Should I not do this?" Serana looked at her, self consciously.

"Um… I guess that would depend on your goal…" her heart was racing, Serana had to hear it.

Serana looked down. "I was just… being affectionate… but I understand if it's weird."

Evelynn caught her before she moved away and ran her fingers along the inside of the cup. Very deliberately, she painted Seranas' lips with the blood. She kissed her softly, tasting her lips. Her head started spinning fast.

"Is it always like this?" Evelynn breathed against her mouth and shivered.

"I don't understand what you mean…"

"Just so… more… I don't know how to explain it."

"I wouldn't know… I don't have a frame of reference."

"... I'm the only person you've been with? Like… ever?"

Serena just shrugged.

"How old were you when you turned?"

"Eighteen."

"And no one before then? Not even boys?"

Serena just smiled and shook her head.

"Why me?"

"You interest me…"

"So… you have no idea of the difference…"

"It's different?"

"Very. It's… hard… not to just.. Attack you…"

Serena laughed. "It wasn't always like that?"

"Not like this, no." Evelynn shifted and shoved her hands under her thighs.

Serena lifted her chin and had a devious look in her eye. "Welcome to my world, Lover."

Serana

"Hey… what is that thing you wear?" Evelynn asked her, laying across her stomach.

"This?" Serana held up the leather underwear.

"Yes… That." Evelynn blushed.

"It's a special type of harness."

"You can just… buy those?"

Serena laughed. "If you know who to ask."

"Why… ?"

"I had it made for you."

"Oh." Evelynn buried her face in Seranas' stomach. "When?"

"The last time we were here, actually." She ran her fingers through her Dovahkiins' silky brown hair.

"And you put… ice in it?"

Serana laughed. "I have a preference for ice, yes. But they generally are used with shaft's of wood, metal, or glass. But I like the ice because it's… mine. And it seems to have interesting effects on you." She tugged lightly at Evelynns' hair.

The imperial pressed her thighs together and groaned. "Well… you use it well."

"Thank you, My Love."

"You've never used it before."

"Before you, no."

"And… It's never been used on you."

Serena cocked her head to the side, smiling. "Is something on your mind, Evelynn?"

Evelynns' ears flamed red and Serana laughed.

"One day, My Love. We really should get moving though. You're phenomenal at distractions."

"You started it…"

She laughed again and slid out from under the Imperial. She missed her horse. The first gift that Evelynn had ever given her. She seemed to like giving gifts. Loving her was the easiest thing Serana had ever done. And now she really would get to keep her forever...

"Hey… would you… want to hunt together?" Serana blurted out.

Evelynn whipped her head up. "Uh…"

"I could teach you…"

Evelynns' face flared pink again. "I don't know…"

"Evelynn, do you really think I'm going to judge you for being turned on by blood?"

"Are you?"

"Yes. It's natural."

"How do you…?"

Serana laughed. "Control yourself?"

Evelynn nodded.

"Well… " Serana looked down at her naked figure. "Not very well, it seems. I had a lot of practice before I met you. And you've undone centuries of hard work." She scowled at her Dovahkiin, who smiled downward. "We could try animals first, if that helps you."

Evelynn smiled gently. "Okay."

Evelynn

Dusk bounced chaotically when he saw them approach. Evelynn laughed and ran toward him. She got just a few arms lengths away when he stilled and backed away. Evelynn frowned in sadness. She was different now. Of course he'd be able to tell.

"It's me, baby boy. I'm all right. Just me." Evelynn held her hands up in peace.

The colt huffed, but cocked his head to the side and stretched his neck forward, sniffing at her. Evelynn bowed forward, letting him approach her hair. He sniffed closer until she could feel his breath. Dusk lipped at her hair before yanking it hard.

"Ow! I'm sorry, okay! I'm sorry I left you." He huffed in her ear and pushed his head against hers. She reached up cautiously to pet him, silently asking his permission. He twitched an ear, but leaned his head against her palm. "How are you feeling?"

Dusk did his prancy tappy feet and Evelynn laughed. She noticed Serana casually smiling at them while petting her mare. The stables here were minuscule, hardly stables at all, but they had kept the horses fed and cared for. Honestly, it looked as if the place was thrown together last minute. Evelynn gave the blonde girl two thousand gold pieces as thanks for looking after them. The vampires saddled up and headed south.

"How soon are you wanting to hunt?" Evelynn asked.

Serena looked at the sky. "Before sunrise. We got a bit of a late start, so we only have a few hours before then."

"Oh… daylight…" Evelynn made a face.

Serena laughed. "If i can do it, you can do it you big baby."

Dusk was jittery, in the mood to run. Evelynn lightly urged him forward and he bolted. She looked behind her to see Serana smiling as they raced to catch up. The clear night felt wonderful around her. They might actually reach Windhelm before sunrise if the horses kept this energy.

The moons were shining almost full, and the stars were so bright, Evelynn could see every blade of grass as it whipped by. The world had never looked so beautiful before. She had no idea how hunting was going to go. She didn't like the idea of having anything in common with Harkon… she jerked Dusk to a stop and Serana skidded up behind her.

"What is it?" Serana looked around, concern on her face.

"Am I going to turn into that Gargoyle looking creature like your father?" Evelynns' voice sounded more panicked than she'd intended.

Serana smiled. "I don't think so. I don't think you drank that much of my blood, but who knows. Do you… want to try?"

Evelynn shook her head. It was hard parting with her wolf, but transforming into a completely different creature felt like treason. Aela would skin her if she knew.

"Hey… at least you'd know…" Serana leaned over to pat her thigh.

Evelynn inhaled shakily. "Fine… how do I do that?"

"This seems like a decent place to hunt. Let's tie up the horses and see what we can do."

They trotted over to a particularly sturdy looking tree and dismounted. Dusk huffed his irritation at stopping, but Dawn remained elegant as ever. Serana led her several paces into the trees.

"You'll want to take your clothes off…"

"Oh I see. If you just wanted to get me naked, all you had to do was ask." Evelynn joked, despite her discomfort.

Serana narrowed her eyes, but helped Evelynn with her armor. Standing in the forest naked seared her chest with the lost familiarity.

"Just… try to see yourself unlocking potential. Does that make sense?"

"I'll try…" Evelynn closed her eyes and focused. She felt her heart quicken. When her bones cracked and shifted, she tried not to cry. She didn't want to look, to see what she'd traded her wolf for. It was worth it to be with Serana, but she didn't want to see it. After the pain in her back subsided, she knew she was finished. She kept her eyes shut.

"By the Blood…" Serena breathed.

She felt Serana approach her.

"Evelynn…"

She still kept her eyes closed.

"Evelynn, look!"

She begrudgingly looked. Serana looked… amazed. Beautiful. Glowing. Even… pulsing. Serana reached for her and she cringed away. Her Vampire ignored her and touched her broad shoulders. She ran her fingers through Evelynns'... Fur?

What the fuck?

Evelynn jumped back and looked down. Black fur covered her body. But Harkon had been smooth and a greenish grey color. Hyperventilating, Evelynn bolted. The stream. Evelynn bowed at the edge of the water and looked. Her familiar wolf stared back at her.

What the fuck!

Evelynn howled into the night until her lungs burned. She didn't care how she still had her wolf, she just cried in happiness.

"Evelynn, quiet! You'll scare everything off." Serana rushed to her, stroking her muzzle and whispering.

Evelynn whimpered and licked Seranas' face. Kept licking her. Serana fell to the ground laughing and Evelynn kept licking her.

"Okay, okay! Easy… you're stronger like this, My Love." Serana said laughing.

Evelynn tried to talk, but all that came out was a series of cries and whines and shrieks. The Mighty Werewolf, sounding like a simple house dog. She laughed and it came out as a choking bark. How did Sinding learn to talk like this?

"Shh… it's okay. We'll talk later, My Love." She scratched Evelynns' ears and Evelynn wanted to hate how good it felt. "For now, let's hunt." Serena flashed her fangs.

Evelynn coughed a bark and padded the dirt hard, running as fast as she could. She'd never take this for granted again. She collided hard with a Sabre Cat, which snarled and swiped at her. Instinctively, Evelynn bit down hard on its jugular, cutting off its snarl abruptly. She was so filled with adrenaline that she didn't even make sure it was dead first, she just drank the warm blood that flowed openly into her mouth. Well this is new…

Evelynn felt its heart stop and drained the animal completely. Tearing at the flesh, Evelynn ate her way to its heart. The still warm organ burst life into her as she bit into it.

"Well now I'm sure I'll never teach you how to not make a mess." Serana was casually leaning against a tree and smiling.

Evelynn padded over to her and pressed her massive head into Seranas' chest, grumbling. Serana massaged her ears and kissed the top of her head.

"I'm so glad this wasn't lost…" Serana pressed her face against Evelynns' fur.

Evelynn could hear her heart beat so clearly. The sound had annoyed her so much before realizing what it was. Now, she realized, it was her favorite sound in the world. She didn't know how to love Serana like this but she wanted to. She nuzzled at Seranas' neck and licked her ear. The calm that came from Seranas' touch soothed everything inside Evelynn. She felt her bones shifting already. She licked Seranas' face as she shifted back into her human form, and kissed Serana hard.

"I feel overdressed…" Serana murmured against Evelynns' lips. She felt her Vampires hands on her breasts and sighed into the kiss. It appeared as though Serana was also skilled at distractions.

"How do you feel?" Serana was suddenly serious.

"I feel… alive." Evelynn smiled.

"You still have fangs… leave it to the Dovahkiin to find a way to be both." Serana caressed her face.

"You know… I think you are a bit overdressed." Evelynn started untying her corset armor.

Serana rolled her eyes. "What am I going to do with you?"

Evelynn skimmed her new fangs over the Nords neck. "I have a few ideas…"

Serana

It was absolutely well after daylight before they reached the next city, thanks to their extracurricular activities. Evelynn was insanely grouchy now and Serana could only laugh. She remembered her days as a newborn vampire. Apparently retaining her Wolf did not make Evelynn any more sociable during this transition. Serana paid for their room while her Dovahkiin pouted at a table. It was incredibly adorable, though it might get old fast.

"Come on, Grouch. I got our room."

Evelynn sighed and dragged her feet all the way to the room. She flopped herself across the bed and Serana laughed.

"I'm not sleeping next to your dirty leather armor. Get up."

Evelynn grunted.

"There's a bath house here. It's early in the day, but I sweet talked the innkeeper into filling the tub. Take a bath with me?"

"I'm up." Evelynn rolled off the bed and fell to the floor.

Serana laughed and shook her head, pulling her Dovahkiin to her feet. "It's just the next room over. Get some fresh clothes."

The bath house was enormous, Candlehearth Hall was very luxurious. A massive round tub in the center of the room. The innkeeper was finishing filling it up as they entered and smiled politely. Serana offered thanks to the older Nord woman before closing the door. The water was warm, but she added extra heat and stripped off her clothes. Evelynn just stood there lazily watching.

"Are you going to get in?"

Evelynn grinned and shed her armor and clothes. Serana sank into the tub and sighed. Evelynn hissed as she stuck her foot into the water.

"It's hot."

Serana smiled. "It's good for your muscles, My Love. Trust me."

The ferocious Wolf winced as she settled into the water. To Seranas' surprise, Evelynn began massaging her feet.

"That tickles."

"Relax, it gets better."

Serana closed her eyes and let her Wolf work out the knots in the arches of her feet. It felt… divine. She worked her way up Seranas' legs and it was hard not to completely dissolve into the water. Evelynn then took a rag and began washing Serana with the smell of lavender.

"You're spoiling me."

Evelynn laughed. "I'm trying."

Serana got her own rag and they washed each other. It was difficult to focus, and Serana quickly gave up. Evelynn was straddling her, naked and wet. They were clean enough. She gripped her Wolfs' thighs and pulled her into a kiss, massaging Evelynns' ribs and breasts. They were just starting to breathe heavily and make the water ripple when the door burst open and a buff Nord man stumbled in.

"Oh, my apologies- well hello ladies. Don't let me stop you." He reeked of mead. Of course he was drunk in the middle of the day.

Serana bristled. "Get out."

He laughed and turned to leave.

"Wait…" Evelynn called out to him.

Serana looked at her Dovahkiin, incredulous. Evelynns' silver eyes were shy, pleading. Oh. Oh. Serana smiled slowly at her.

"Yes… on second thought. Would you like to join us?" Serana met his eyes and released her dark magick.

"Well fuck me…" he stumbled on his feet.

"Are you going to make us ask twice?" Evelynn sounded suddenly… demanding. Desperate… seductive… her wanton voice caressed the words and Serana exhaled hard as excitement pooled between her thighs.

"Certainly not, m'lady." He fell, removing his armor.

The water sloshed as he slid into the water and Serana resisted rolling her eyes.

"Pleased to meet you lovely ladies. I'm-"

"We don't need to know your name. Sit." By the Blood… Evelynn was a natural seductive Dominant. Serana moaned softly.

The man was pale, and buff. Dark hair was sprinkled across his chest and down his stomach, though his head and face was cleanly shaven. Evelynn grabbed a rag and Serana followed suit. They washed the man over his chest and around his neck. Serana looked into his eyes and caressed his brow.

"This is only a dream, Sir. Do not fear." She poured Magick into her words. The man nodded.

Serana gently placed her hand on Evelynns' shoulders and guided her towards the man.

"Seal your lips around the skin before penetrating."

Evelynn gasped at her words, and complied eagerly. Serana could hear her heart quicken, as did the mans. Evelynn didn't spill a drop and Serana swelled with pride before taking the other side of the mans neck.

Fuck…

Instantly, she could taste Evelynn in his blood, mixed with the mead. Her head was swimming already with arousal and alcohol. They'd be drunk quickly. She could taste Evelynns' need and desire and satisfaction in his blood. It was too much. She pulled away and touched Evelynns' back.

"That's enough, My Love. Leave him alive." Evelynn backed away with a sound of disappointment. She'd dislodged a little off and had blood on her mouth.

Serana quickly cast magick upon their meal, healing and commanding him, ignoring the erection that was now peering from the surface of the water.

"Get out now. Go to bed. Forget what has happened." No time for politeness.

"Y-yes, m'lady." He didn't even get dressed. He just dripped water and took his clothes with him out of the room.

"How-"

Serana kissed Evelynn hard. Gods. She licked and smeared the blood on her mouth, crushing their bodies together. She pushed Evelynn back hard against the tub. The Wolf cried out and grabbed at her. Serana pushed her arms away and forced her legs open, touching her beneath the water.

She growled in her ear. "Come for me. Quickly." She needed Evelynns' release so much it was almost painful.

Evelynn squirmed and moaned. Then, very suddenly, she kissed Seranas' neck. And bit down. Serena screamed in climax as her blood touched Evelynns' mouth. Her Wolf wrapped around her and squeezed and shook, feeling both orgasms together. Fuck!

Evelynn fell limp instantly. Serana jerked away to look at her. For the second time, Evelynn had passed out on her. And for the first in Seranas' life, a vampire had bitten her...

Oh gods, she was completely, madly, irrevocably in love with this intensely strange woman. Serana touched her sleeping face and smiled as tears stung her eyes. She really could keep her forever now. Serana had never deserved this happiness.

Evelynn

Evelynn awoke feeling… refreshed. Odd. Where was she? A spacious Inn suite. Windhelm. She rolled over on the soft bed to find Serana still sleeping. She looked so peaceful. Happy. Curled up against Evelynn, half uncovered by the sheets. Evelynn pulled the sheets up over her and kissed her cheek. And she noticed.

On the side of Seranas' neck were two small, round puncture wounds, just above her new collar. Almost completely healed, but still there. Evelynn remembered. She remembered feeding with her. She remembered Serana desperately making love to her. And she remembered, until last night, never having hurt her before. Evelynns' heart ached. She'd not done it on purpose. She could remember nothing after. And she tried not to remember the pure ecstasy she'd tasted. She lightly touched the marks in horror.

"I told you it's creepy to watch people sleep." Serana was smiling.

"How are you feeling?"

Serana looked at her in confusion. "I feel perfectly fine. Why?"

Evelynn touched her neck.

Her Vampire smiled slowly. "Yeah… that was new."

"I'm sorry."

She rolled her eyes. "I bite you often."

"Have you been bitten often?"

Serana blushed. "No."

"Then I am sorry. I should've, at least, asked."

Seranas' brows pulled together. "It was new. And startling. But… I liked it. If you didn't notice." She blushed again and hid her face.

"I'm not a mage… I can't heal you."

"It won't leave a scar. Perks of being a vampire. Although… If you do that too often you will likely lose your wolf. I don't know how you managed to keep it and be infected with Sanguinaire Vampiris, but too much of my pure blood will absolutely burn it out of you."

"I'll need help… Controlling myself. It wasn't intentional."

"Practice, My Love." She caressed Evelynns' face.

Evelynn sighed. "We should go. We have a long way to go with this damn scroll."

"We should." Serana had a comically serious expression, but trailed her fingers across Evelynns' stomach.

Evelynn rolled her eyes. "You are a bad influence."

The Nord flashed her fanged grin and Evelynn committed to getting a late start again.

Serana

They'd been traveling for more than a week, and they still hadn't made it to Riften. The Distractions were becoming even more regular, slowing them down substantially. And they were becoming even more addictive, making Serana slowly lose her grip on priorities. Evelynns' young colt was definitely eager to make up for lost time, so they weren't too far behind schedule. Evelynn was growing more cranky if they were caught out in the daylight at all. Serana wished there was a way to help her adjust. Had Serana been this cranky when they first started traveling together? Probably.

"We'll likely be at Riften by noon, do you want to get a room there?" Serana asked her Wolf.

Evelynn made a face.

"It's either that or another cave." Serana knew that, much as Evelynn used to like caves, they didn't often block out the daylight completely.

"Fine, fine. But you're doing your magick on my head when we get there."

Serana laughed. "Growing fond of the magicks, are you?"

Evelynn just kicked up her colts pace and Serana followed. She kept a watchful eye on the skies, though. She was getting used to Evelynn dispatching Dragons easily, but it still wasn't a comfortable situation. Evelynn was a little reckless in that aspect; incredible at stealth when it was necessary, but Evelynn didn't seem to feel it was necessary to conceal herself from Death From Above.

Serana could smell the dawn approaching and she drank in the scent. It smelled of her Dovahkiin. The morning dew was settling on the world, giving off a rich fragrance and a sparkling sight. The sun broke the horizon and Serana actually smiled. Her attention turned back to her Wolf just in time to see Evelynn collapse and fall from her horse.

"Evelynn!" Serana jumped from her mare and ran to her Love. "Evelynn what's happening? Wake up!" She shook her.

"What? What do you want?" Evelynns' eyes were tinged with red and very angry.

"What do I want? You fell from your horse, Evelynn! What is happening?"

"Fine! Leave me alone…" she rolled over, burying her face in the leaves.

"No. No! You cannot sleep here. Get up."

"Get off me, you wretch!" She thrust out a hand, connecting hard with the side of Seranas' head.

"What the fuck!" Angrily, she hauled Evelynn up by the neck of her armor.

Evelynn thrashed, gripping at her arms. "What is your problem?"

"My problem? Are you fucking kidding me? What the hell is wrong with you?" Serana knew something was very wrong, but her violent anger was overpowering. She was shaking hard.

Evelynns' eyes met hers; her normally silver irises blazed crimson. "Fuck you, you mongrel!"

Serana dropped her to the ground and screamed in pure rage. She couldn't remember ever feeling this angry. She walked back to her horse, still shaking. A piercing scream ripped the skies. Serana whirled around to see Evelynn, curled over her stomach and crying blood. Oh, gods…

"Evelynn!" All anger dissipated as she ran back to her Dovahkiin. Evelynns' eyes were shining silver again, but tears were streaming freely from them. Red tears. "Oh gods…"

"Something's wrong… help…" she was clawing at her armor, peeling her nails back and making her fingers bleed.

Serana took her hands away and ripped the buckles on the leather, getting it off of her. She pulled Evelynns' linen shirt up and gasped at the sight. Evelynns' stomach was turning black and blue, and… crawling. She could see the skin constricting and contorting around the spreading bruises. Evelynn turned over and retched onto the ground before going unconscious again.

Evelynn

The bed was so warm and cozy that she didn't want to wake, but every sound seemed amplified and drove her to consciousness. She started to wonder where she was but before she could form the thought, the smell of blood invaded her nostrils and she lunged at the goblet in the bedside table. She downed the entire cup and immediately scanned the room for more. Her eyes fell on Serana, and she smiled.

"Hello, my Love."

Her Vampires' head snapped up. She looked… wrong. Her posture looked so… broken. And her eyes were puffy. She'd been crying. Hard.

"What–"

Serana lunged at her, folding her in an embrace and crying again. "Oh… Gods! Please… Be okay!" Her broken sobs were immediately alarming, and it only added to the confusion.

"What are you on about? Of course I'm okay. I'm f–"

"You are not fine, Evelynn!" She was shrieking. Again. By the Nine, it was so loud.

"Please…" Evelynn rubbed her ears. "I am, though. What's the matter with you?"

"What's the matter with me? Look!" Serana ripped up Evelynns' shirt, forcing her to look at her stomach.

"Okay…?" Evelynn looked up to see Seranas' confused and horrified look.

"It was there… it was getting worse…"

"Are you… sick or something?"

"Dammit, Evelynn! I'm not sick!"

The shrieking was making her stomach churn and she winced.

Serana softened. "I'm sorry. Just… what's the last thing you remember?"

"Heading to Riften. Like we've been doing for days."

"Do you realize where we are?"

Evelynn looked around. "The Bee and The Barb?"

"And you have no memory of getting here?"

"Did I fall asleep or something?"

Serana cried out in exasperation. "Or something." Serana then described the horrific scene of the day before, trying her best to stay calm and quiet."

"I… hit you?" Evelynn was mortified.

"Oh, fuck that, Evelynn! Something is seriously wrong."

"Okay… can you fix it?" Evelynn rubbed her temples, the headache was becoming apparent.

"I don't know what it is to fix, Evelynn. I've tried everything I know! And you've still been unconscious or feral for the last ten hours!"

"... Feral?"

Seranas' expression went soft and pained as she rubbed Evelynns' head. "When Vampires' don't feed… they become feral. You remember the girl from the Volkihar ruins? She was feral. But it takes months, sometimes years, of not feeding regularly. I don't know why it's happening to you so fast…" tears filled her eyes again.

"I don't want to hurt you…" Evelynn wrapped her arms around herself and closed her eyes.

"Don't worry about me. I don't want to lose you. We'll figure this out." She sniffled.

"Do you know anyone who could help us?" The pain in her head was beginning to subside.

"No one we could talk to…" she crossed her legs and got comfortable in the bed in front of Evelynn.

"Should we… get moving? We need to get to Dawnguard."

"We need to figure out how to help you. Before we go visit your vampire-hating friends."

Evelynn sighed. "Any thoughts?"

"Just blood. A lot of it."

Evelynns' mouth watered at the word. "Where do you suggest getting it?"

"From humans. It's the best option. It's what our bodies actually crave."

"So… bandits?

"Bandits."

Serana

It terrified Serana how well Evelynn had taken to the night. Her stealth was beyond impressive, she was but a shadow. The way she stalked and hunted should've aroused Serana, but she could feel only fear of why this came so easily to her. Evelynn drained two bandits of blood quickly, too quickly. Serana hadn't even made her leave them alive. She'd pay countless lives if it helped her Wolf… her Vampire.

"Please hunt with me…" Evelynn pleaded softly.

"You need it more than I do."

"But you do need it. You didn't sleep at all today, did you?"

"No."

"I can tell. Your eyes–"

"Evelynn! That's it!" The realization hit Serana hard. She grabbed Evelynns' shoulders and shook her.

"What's what? And stop."

Serana dropped her hands. "Sorry. That's it! That's why you're devolving so quickly!"

"Shh! We're still hunting. And oh, my gods, what are you on about, woman." Her accent was growing thicker with irritation and Serana actually smiled.

"Vampires… we need to sleep. We need rest. And you–"

"Can't… rest…" Evelynn looked down.

Serana lifted her chin to look into her eyes. "Evelynn, this is good. I can fix this. I just have to complete your change, and you can rest again. Not just sleep, but rest. That's why you've been sleeping so strangely. Snoring. Crashing. All of it."

Evelynn lowered her eyes again. Seranas' heart dropped.

"What's wrong…?"

"I don't… want to lose my Wolf. If I can, for some reason, have both… I want to keep it…"

"But Evelynn… it's killing you. The two aren't coexisting inside you. You'll be lost. I can't lose you…" Serana felt the tears in her eyes and the ache in her heart.

"Isn't there any other way?"

"To even have a chance at what you're asking for, you're going to have to drink a lot more blood than you have been."

Her face fell.

"No, don't misunderstand. I've no judgement, either way. I just want you to understand." Serana pulled her into an embrace and kissed her hair.

"Would it… always have to be humans?"

"I… don't know. This is new territory. Animal blood can suffice for me, but I have no way of knowing if it's different for you."

"Can we… try?"

Serana ran a hand through her hair, struggling internally.

"If it doesn't work, I'd like nothing more than for you to fill my veins completely, forever. I just… want to try."

Filling her veins. Being completely inside her in every way. The thought hit Serana so hard. She hadn't realized just how much she wanted that. Selfish. Serana crushed her lips to Evelynns' and forced her mouth open, tasting her kills. She fisted her hand in her Wolfs' hair and kissed her. Desperately. Evelynn moaned and dragged her nails across Seranas' back. They were already shedding their clothes without a thought about it.

"Well isn't this a pretty sight. Carry on, ladies."

Serana stifled a hiss and turned to see a tall, overly muscular Orc dressed in furs. She made a step towards him and Evelynn caught her arm.

"Together." She smiled her devious smile.

"Always, My Love."

The bandit was dead in a matter of seconds. Serana licked the blood trail from Evelynns' breast to her mouth and claimed her lips again. They fell to the ground in a passionate, blood-drunk frenzy of lovemaking. In the dirt, with her Wolf. Where she wanted to spend the rest of her life.

Evelynn

"We really need to get to Dawnguard. Isran is going to have my head, as it is." Evelynn was itching to get moving. To do something productive.

"No. We really need to get you under control. Before taking you to him. He'd really have your head if he knew what we've done, Evelynn. And I won't let him live if he touches you." Serana sipped her wine.

"Dammit, Serana. Your father isn't going to stop and give me time to get my shit together. I'll be fine. I can't just sit here." Evelynn was pacing in the small room at the inn.

Serana hadn't let her go home, hadn't let her leave this room unless to hunt, in two weeks. It was driving her crazy. It was even more maddening how sweet and attentive Serana had been to her, making her frustrations seem out of place. She'd even found a few donors to use as cattle, as she'd called it, to deliver her blood directly in her room. Even sex had become somewhat more docile. To conserve her strength, Serana had said. Evelynn let out a growl of frustration and punched the stone wall.

"Evelynn!" Serana was in front of her at once, attempting to heal her skinned knuckles.

"No– stop!" She snatched her hand away and raked it through her hair. "You can't keep me locked away forever! Whatever is going to happen, will happen. There are things I need to do. It's what I am, Serana. I fight, I bleed, I save the fucking world. I can't do that from this tiny fucking cell!" She scraped her nails along the back of her neck, maybe a little too hard.

"Evelynn… I just want you to be safe…" Serana dropped her gaze to the floor.

"Look. I love you. I need you with me. But you have to stop treating me like I'm fragile. There hasn't been an incident in the last two weeks, right? Well time's up. It's been up. I need to go. And I want you to come with me. Please."

"I can't let you lose yourself because of something I did to you, Evelynn. You can't ask me to do that."

"Oh, by the Nine. It happened, okay? Deal with it. We'll deal with it, or I will. I'm sorry that this is so complicated for you. How hard it is for you. I'm not even mad that you've infected me. Hell, I'm not even mad that it's not compatible with my body and is on the verge of destroying me. I'd rather die tomorrow, fighting with you, than slowly rot in this shite hole because I'm afraid. If I lose my marbles, you have my permission, my preference even, to force your fucking blood down my throat until everything else is burned out, okay? Or we can do it right fucking now if that's what it takes."

Serana took a step back, her face twisted. "I'm not taking your Wolf away."

"No, really. Come on. Let's go. Right now." Evelynn advanced, her face inches away from Serana. "Change me. I'm not much of a Wolf in here anyway, am I? Change me."

"I'm not going to be the reason you lose it." Seranas' eyes pooled with tears.

"Change me."

"No."

"CHANGE ME!"

Serana stared into her eyes. Evelynn couldn't fault her for wanting to keep her safe. But this was Skyrim. Horrible things happened, regularly. It was life. And Evelynn had to spend hers doing a job. She may not have known exactly what she was signing up for, but she'd signed in blood, literally, and would not regret it.

Evelynn softened. "Look. I won't take it from you. You'll do it willingly, or I guess I'm stuck dealing with this on my own. It's your call. But I am leaving this room tonight. I have to. The world doesn't stop because I'm sick. I have a job to do, Serana. I have to go. I want you with me, but I understand if this is too hard. You didn't ask for this. I'm not your problem." Evelynn closed her eyes and walked across the room to gather her things.

"It's sunrise, Evelynn."

"I'll… deal."

"No. You'll wear yourself out, and crash and turn into a feral cunt. So instead, just. Stay. We'll leave tonight."

"We?"

"Of course, we. I can't stop you. I can't lose you. So, yes. We."

"I'm not an asshole…"

"I know."

Serana

Serana knew she'd been selfish. There was no excusing it. No, she didn't want to lose Evelynn. But Evelynn was right; hiding her away while the world was in chaos, was absolutely the wrong thing to do. Gods, she really had wanted to change her. But not like that. Not as an ultimatum. Serana looked down at her sleeping Wolf. She'd had no choice but to sleep, even though it did no good.

Evelynn would be comatose until nightfall, and Serana just could not shut her brain off, even though she was also exhausted. She decided to go out for a walk. She slipped out of bed and donned her cloak, and headed out the door. Riften really did have its own chaotic charm. The sun was uncomfortable, but maybe it would help Serana sleep. She meandered around the city, not really paying much attention to anything. It was hard for her to not feel numb. Everything had become so surreal. She couldn't even be angry at Evelynn for the outburst.

Serana sat on a bench and turned her face to the sky directly. It was dreadfully uncomfortable, but she was begging to be overcome with sleep. The sound of glass breaking caused her to look across the courtyard. An old Nord man was sighing and leaning down to pick up the shards of a bottle he'd dropped. Elgrims' Elixirs. Serana got to her feet and went to assist.

"You're very kind, My Lady, but I can manage." The man seemed shy about his clumsiness.

"It's not a problem, Sir. I don't mind at all." Serana was instantly relieved to be in the shade just outside the shop.

"You feeling alright, My Lady? You look unwell." The man eyed her with concern.

Serana smiled gently, people rarely looked at her directly, but when they did, they always felt a sense of unease. Added to her pale skin and unnerving eyes, it was commonly interpreted as ill. "Just… been having trouble sleeping, is all."

The man nodded. "Have you not taken anything to help?"

"I'm not much of a drinker, really." Serana smiled at her own irony.

The man, whom she assumed was Elgrim, led her inside and chuckled. "That doesn't seem to fit with this place, I'm afraid. But I was referring to something more medicinal, not recreational."

"Medicinal?"

Elgrim threw the glass remains into a waste bin, and turned to a shelf behind his counter. "This, My Lady."

Serana took the bottle he offered her. She read the words. And read them again. This couldn't be right. "What is this?"

"A new concoction, My Lady. This Potion of Rest is the strongest tested so far. It should help you feel a bit better."

Serana stared at him, dumbfounded. "... How many of these do you have?"

"Hm… let's see… thirteen bottles, My Lady."

"Do you have a written recipe?"

"I could."

Serana threw a massive coin purse into the counter. "I'll take all of it."

Evelynn

"Evelynn! Evelynn, wake up!" The curtains were thrown back, pouring in the sun.

Evelynn grumbled and pulled the covers over her head. Serana had said they'd leave tonight, why was she yelling now?

"No. Get up. Now." Serana snatched the sheets off of her.

"Dammit, what?" The room was too damn bright, there was no way it was even close to sunset.

"Drink this." Serana shoved a bottle to Evelynns' mouth.

The liquid was absolutely foul, but the bottle wasn't very large. When it was empty, Evelynn had to twist her face away to make Serana stop pushing it.

"Sorry," Serana made a face. "How do you feel?"

"Confused. Why?"

"Do you feel tired?" Serana brushed her hair out of her face.

Evelynn thought about it. She felt… better than her normal. Better than she had in a long time. "No." She whispered.

Serana laughed a strange sob and crushed her lips to Evelynns', falling on top of her.

Evelynn had questions, but it had been a while since Serana had kissed her so forcefully. It was mid day, but Evelynn didn't want to lose this renewed ferocity. She clung to the back of Seranas' neck and urged her further. Serana was angry. All concern seemed to be gone and all that was left turned to carnal violence. Her teeth bit into Evelynns' lip; not even her sharp fangs, but her teeth crushed through skin with a sense of brutality that had Evelynns' core sparking to life. If Serana needed this, by the Nine, Evelynn would give it all to her. She clawed at her Vampires' clothes, only for Serana to slam her hands against the headboard away from her.

Oh yeah, she's pissed.

Crushing pain shot through Evelynns' hands and wrists. She tried to move, but she was effectively stuck. Serana climbed off of her and walked over to the table. Evelynn looked up at her hands. Ice. Serana had frozen her hands to the wood.

"You're not touching me right now, Dovahkiin." Serana tipped back a bottle of wine. Her eyes were hostile flames as they burned into Evelynn. "I've found a solution for you that I can live with. We'll discuss that later. But right now, I need you to really understand me." Serana shed her clothes at her leisure and brushed her hair back out of her beautifully dangerous face, in no hurry at all. "Are you listening, Evelynn?"

Every nerve ending in Evelynns' body was igniting and her lip was throbbing. She nodded.

"Good." She finished the bottle and threw it at the headboard. Glass rained on Evelynn and she squirmed. "I'm not so arrogant as to believe I've done nothing wrong. You were right in what you said. We do have a job to do." She walked to the bed and quickly ripped Evelynns' shirt to shreds. Her voice was still so calm and caressing that it chilled Evelynn to the bone. "We will do that job together. But by your gods and mine, when we leave this room you will understand that you will never again issue me another ultimatum. Is that clear?"

"Yes." Evelynns' voice was barely a whisper. There would be no apologies, Serana needed this. And Evelynn thoroughly deserved it.

Serana caressed Evelynns' face tenderly. "You don't make demands of me." Her deadly Vampire got inches from her lips and almost tasted the blood there. "And you do not threaten me. You are mine. No one will take you from me, not even you." She delicately licked the already healing wound on Evelynns' lip. "Blood of my Blood. I wear your collar. We belong to each other."

Evelynn whimpered slightly at her intoxicating words and tried to kiss her. Serana gently but firmly circled her hand around Evelynns' throat and moaned impatiently.

"Are we clear, Evelynn?"

"Yes," she breathed desperately, her head spinning.

"Who do you belong to?" Her thumbnail scraped against Evelynns' neck.

"You."

"That's right. And who do I belong to, Evelynn?"

Belong to… It hadn't been Evelynns' intention to own Serana. She pulled her brows together and said nothing.

Serana slapped her hard, but her voice was still gentle and comforting. "Who's mark do I wear?"

"Mine." Evelynns' body was screaming with needs that she couldn't understand.

"So who do I belong to, Evelynn?"

Evelynn didn't know how to say it. She loved Serana, she didn't own her. Tears stung her eyes and she gritted her teeth.

Serana mused casually as she ran her finger down Evelynns' torso. "Do I belong to him?"

"No!" Evelynn pulled hard against her hands to sit up, but failed.

She grabbed Evelynns' face and forced her to meet her fiery eyes. "Then who do I belong to, Dovahkiin? Say it."

"Me!" It didn't sound like her voice, but an animalistic roar.

"Good girl. Now, take care of your things, Love."

Serana straddled her hips and ripped away her underwear. Magick swirled through the room and fur pricked at Evelynns' skin. Serana crafted something from ice, but Evelynn didn't know what it was. Smooth and thick, curved in the middle and equal length on both sides. Serana gave no preamble before thrusting one end into Evelynn, hard. She cried out in both pain and pleasure and looked down at the device. Her legs shook and she squirmed violently under her Vampire. Serana crawled up Evelynns' body and licked inside her mouth.

"I love you…" Evelynn moaned against her mouth.

"I know." Serana pushed up onto her knees, towering over Evelynn. She caressed the Imperials' cheek before lowering herself into the other end of her device.

"Fuckkkkkk!" Evelynn cried like a bitch watching this beautiful creature slide herself onto the makeshift cock. Seranas' weight pressed down on the contraption in a way that it pushed further inside Evelynn and tilted against that special spot. Orgasm hovered just over her for an eternity, but would not touch her. She could feel herself pulsing around the ice and she pressed her hips upward, seeking release. Serana moaned and struck her again.

"If I let you do what you want, what lesson will you learn? Lie still and take it, Evelynn. Take all of it." She thrust her hips harder with every word and Evelynn trembled as her body accommodated Seranas' Magick.

Serana leaned backward, her breasts presented beautifully as she rolled her hips. Faster, deeper. Tears flowed freely from Evelynns' eyes. She didn't understand why, but they felt appropriate, so she cried and moaned and took all of it. She couldn't even touch Serana or hold her. Helpless.

Oh.

The moment she understood exactly what Serana was doing, the Vampire slammed herself down into Evelynn harder. Faster. Oh gods, it was so much. Too much.

"Please…" Evelynn whimpered and tried not to squirm.

"Please what, Evelynn?" She pushed impossibly deep into Evelynn and stilled.

Please what? Please everything. And nothing. Make it stop. Don't stop. Oh gods. "Please, Serana. Please… take me with you." Desperation raked through her voice as she begged for completion.

Satisfaction saturated Seranas' breathy moan and she almost laughed. "Yes. Come with me, Love. Forever."

Everything swirled inside Evelynn until the world fell away and she tried to curl in on herself, but couldn't. Serana quickly learned forward and released the magick on Evelynns' hands, lifting her torso and cradling her delicately. Serana thrust quick strokes between them as she sank her fangs into Evelynns' neck.

Evelynn came apart at the seams and cried. She cried hard. Moans and screams and tears filled her soul as Serana held her. A metal cup was held to her lips and Evelynn drank the blood gratefully. The cold shaft still inside her made for interesting effects as she drank and she dug her nails into Seranas' back as she swallowed.

Serana dropped the goblet to the floor and took Evelynns' face in her hands. "Together."

"Together," Evelynn agreed shakily.

"Forever." Serana promised.

Evelynn smiled. "Forever."
