Once again, Andreas decided to walk to school when somebody else said "hi" to him:

"Hey there!"

Addressing Andreas was a thin, shaggy-haired blond boy with green eyes, who wore a white button-down jacket over a black T-shirt with multicolored horizontal stripes on the chest, blue jeans and orange sneakers. Accompanying him was a brown-eyed Asian blunette of similar height with her hair in a bob cut, who wore a white suit jacket with black trim near the collar, a black blouse, a red/white/blue pleated necktie, a skirt that matched her tie, black leggings and red/white sneakers. Andreas smiled when he saw those two.

"Wow, two more students from Miss Bustier's class whom I haven't been introduced to yet! What are your names?"

"I'm Adrien Agreste. This is my girlfriend, Kagami Tsurugi."

Kagami bowed slightly. "How do you do, Andreas?"

Andreas shook hands with both of them.

"Adrien, Kagami, it's nice meeting both of ya, but I better get to class. Don't wanna be late, after all."

Adrien smiled. "I'll race you there!"

"Adrien…!" exclaimed Kagami.

While Andreas was a fast runner, he wasn't so hot at running for extended periods, so he was winded by the time he got to Miss Bustier's class, though he just barely beat Adrien and Kagami.

At lunch, Andreas decided to join Ivan and Mylène again.

"Hey Ivan! Hey Mylène!"

"Hey there!" said Ivan and Mylène.

"So, how are you two doing today?"

"I'm doing all right," replied Ivan.

"Oh, not too bad, I guess," replied Mylène.

"Good to hear." Andreas' look turned serious. "Actually, I gotta thank you two…"

"For what?" asked Ivan.

"See, the thing is, I didn't even wanna move to Paris in the first place. The only reason I'm here is because my father got a job offer that he just couldn't refuse, so we had to move here. However, considering how kind people have been to me, I feel welcome here, and I owe a lot of that to you two."

Mylène smiled. "Well, you should feel welcome here! Paris is a very friendly place, and we want you to be comfortable!"

"I am," said Andreas. "I really am, especially considering I can talk metal with Ivan here."

"Hello again, Andreas!"

Andreas turned to see that Rose had sat down next to him, and Juleka was there as well. He smiled.

"Hello again, Rose and Juleka. How are you two today?"

Rose clasped her hands together next to her head. "Oh, just lovely!"

"I'm doing fine," said Juleka.

"So, how are you doing, honey?" asked Rose.

(She called me "honey"?) thought Andreas. (I can't believe this! We've only known each other for a day and she's so affectionate! But does she really have romantic feelings for me?)

Despite the unexpected term of endearment, Andreas kept his head up as best as he could and answered thusly:

"Not too bad. I have to be honest: I had so much anxiety about moving here, but considerin' people at this school have been good to me, I'm feeling much better."

Rose put her hand on Andreas' shoulder. "See? You shouldn't look to the next day as a fear nor problem! You'll drive yourself crazy doing that. The best thing is to try to find that one thing that makes you smile, and when you're feeling down, use that to pick yourself back up!"

Andreas nodded. "Right." (Oh crap, she's touching me! I dunno how to react to this!)

"Excuse me, but we need to talk."

Andreas turned around to see who'd addressed him: another one of Miss Bustier's students, a petite blonde, blue-eyed girl with her hair in a ponytail. She wore a yellow cardigan over a white shirt with horizontal black stripes, white capris with a studded leather belt, white dress shoes, a gold necklace with a small gold disco ball on it, white-framed sunglasses on her forehead and a little too much makeup for Andreas' liking.

"You're from Miss Bustier's class too, I see," said Andreas.

"And you're the new kid, so I might as well introduce myself: I'm Chloé Bourgeois, daughter of the mayor of Paris. This is my best friend, Sabrina Raincomprix."

"Hi."

Sabrina – a petite, aqua-eyed redhead wearing a white hairband, grayish-brown glasses, a purple/blue argyle vest over a white long-sleeve blouse, light blue shorts, black/dark blue argyle leggings, light blue socks and white sneakers with black soles – waved at Andreas.

"And I'm…"

Chloe cut Andreas off. "You're nothing but a filthy commoner. You don't deserve to introduce yourself to me!"

Andreas clenched his fists. "The hell did ya just say to me?"

"I think you heard me, plebeian!"

"Lemme ask ya: were ya born an arrogant bitch or did ya have to work at it?"

Chloé gasped. "The NERVE of you! How DARE you use such insolent language towards me!?"

Andreas shrugged. "Hey, you're the one who called me a filthy commoner, so I'm just givin' back what ya gave to me."

"Do you even know who I am?"

"You said you're the mayor's daughter, and quite frankly, I think he'd be disappointed in you if he knew you were treatin' your fellow classmates with such disrespect."

"Yeah, well I think he'd be even more disappointed in you if he knew what you just called me!"

"Whatever; I don't have time for this. Later, dickwad."

Andreas proceeded to ignore Chloé and sit back down at his table. However, she spun him around and slapped him across the cheek. Andreas flinched a bit, but ignored the pain and growled like a wolf.

"All right, you just earned yourself a ticket on the pain train!" said Andreas.

"Andreas, stop!" Mylène grabbed onto Andreas' arm.

"Get outta my way, Mylène. I'm gonna teach this ugly dog a lesson."

Chloé gasped. "Oh, you just don't know when to quit, do you!?"

"Andreas, violence isn't worth it!" said Mylène. "Please, let it go!"

Andreas glared at Mylène. On one hand, he wanted to grind Chloé into paste in spite of being a guy who didn't normally hit women, but on the other hand, Mylène seemed to be really worried about him, and he didn't want to upset her, so he sighed and responded to her:

"All right, Mylène, you win." Andreas turned to Chloé. "I'm gonna cut you a break for now, but don't show your face around me again unless you can behave yourself."

"Hmph!"

Chloé – who had also been held back by Sabrina – walked off, while Andreas and Mylène returned to their seats, the plus-sized rainbow-haired activist having a word with the American:

"Andreas, I can understand you're angry at Chloé, but did you have to threaten her like that? That was scary!"

"What? I was just trying to get her to back down."

"You were going to kill her!"

Andreas shook his head. "No I wasn't. Believe me, I'm not one to hit women."

"Oh…well…that's good. Still, please don't be that scary next time!"

"I'll try not to, but how else am I gonna stop her from insulting and bullying people?"

"Couldn't you have just said, 'please don't do that; it makes me feel awful'?"

"She has a point!" said Rose.

"I dunno; knowing Chloé, would that have worked well?" said Juleka.

"I'm with Andreas and Juleka," said Ivan. "Chloé needs to be taught a lesson!"

Mylène frowned and shook her head. Andreas was an interesting character, for sure, but she felt as though he was going to get himself killed one of these days.

Later on in the day, both Andreas and Chloé had gotten called down to Principal Damocles' office, where he had some words for them:

"I presume you two know why you're here?"

Chloé pointed her index finger at Andreas. "He called me a 'bitch'! I want him kicked out of this school!"

"And what do you have to say for yourself, Mr. Sniegowski?"

Andreas crossed his arms. "While I won't deny trading some cross words with Chloé, I should like to remind you that not only was she the instigator, but she slapped me when I laid no hands on her. I even have witnesses who can testify on my behalf."

"WHAT!?" exclaimed Chloé. "How DARE you throw such false accusations at me!? RIDICULOUS! Utterly ridiculous!"

"Miss Bourgeois, you know that physically striking students is against the rules," said Damocles. "You've earned yourself three days' suspension. Now go home and think about what you've done."

Chloé clenched her fists and stomped out of Damocles' office, while the principal continued to address Andreas:

"As for you, Mr. Sniegowski, I'm going to let you off the hook, but I strongly encourage you to find peaceful ways to defuse a conflict next time, is that clear?"

Andreas gave a curt nod. "Crystal clear, Mr. Principal."

"Good. Now please, return to your regularly-scheduled class."

Andreas turned around without saying anything further. As mad as he was about getting sent to Damocles' office for standing up to Chloé, he was nevertheless grateful that the scales had been tipped in his favor.

Criticism is gold. Negativity and nitpicking are pyrite.
