Chapter 4

"Well, it looks like Erza let the cat out of the bag." Lucy says at the same time Laxus says, "Well, it looks like Freed let the cat out of the bag." They look back at each other and laugh. Internally though Lucy is freaking out about Makarov not liking the idea of her and Laxus dating.

"So where were you two?" Levy inquires.

"Are you a couple now?" Erza asks.

"Were you off doing the horizontal tango?"

"CANA!" Lucy Shouts.

"Oh the lovely babies you'll make!" Mira exclaims.

"Everyone shut up!" Laxus bellows.

Everyone quiets down. Laxus pulls Lucy in front of him, hands on her shoulders, using her as a shield while him and his grandfather have a stare down.

"Laxus."

"Gramps."

"What are your intentions with Lucy? What makes you think you're good enough for her?"

These questions confound Lucy and before Laxus speaks she asks questions of her own. "What do you mean Master? Shouldn't the question be if I think I'm good enough for him?"

Laxus laughs and Lucy turns around with a huff. "It's a completely valid question, you are his grandson after all."

"You're cute," Laxus says before kissing Lucy on the cheek and wrapping her in his arms. "You are too good for me. Which is why he's questioning me. If there's anyone who knows me better than my team, it's him. He wants to make sure that I won't hurt you."

Makarov then asks, "So, Laxus?"

Laxus kisses her on her forehead, looks his gramps in the eyes and says, "I love her grandpa."

Makarov's jaw drops, stunned by the confession. Everyone but Warren hoots and hollers. When Makarov snaps out of it he cries, "My grandson is growing up and has found a lovely woman who can put with his surly ass."

Laxus yells "What the fuck Gramps."

"What? Can you blame me for thinking I would never see the day?"

"Whatever.." Laxus mumbles then speaks louder, "Anyways, Blondie has something she would like to tell all of us."

Lucy smacks Laxus on the chest, "You're Blonde too."

Makarov laughs at the two, "So Lucy, what is it that you need to tell us?"

Lucy sighs, "it's about what happened to me during the battle with Tartaros."

Everyone sits down on benches, Laxus and Lucy make their way to the bar where Makarov sits on top of it. Laxus sits on a stool and pulls Lucy onto his lap and wraps his arms around her.

Gajeel looks guiltily at Lucy, "I always knew you did something. When I blocked Torafuzer's attack that was meant for you. I recall him saying something about thinking you were the only survivor."

Juvia looks just as guilty, "When I blocked the Necromancer's attack he mentioned the curse being lifted. I never asked…"

"It's alright, we all went through our own personal hell that we needed to come to terms with." Lucy takes a deep breath, "Mard Geer had cast the curse Alegria, a weird red fleshy substance that had trapped everyone but me. I don't know why, and I don't think it was Horologium because when he activates his Automatic Danger Detecting Mode, the person he saves loses their clothes." Lucy starts the tale.

"When we fought Master Hades, I was both relieved and embarrassed when he saved me," Wendy says.

"Yeah, the same thing happened to Lucy, Natsu and I when he activated it when Jacob, one of the spriggan 12, transported everyone else that was in the guild hall at the time to his own pocket dimension," Happy recalls.

"Yes, exactly. Well, Mard Geer could sense my magic power and realized there was one survivor, so he told the others that whoever killed me would get a reward. If it was one of the grunts, they would become one of the demon gates. Had it been a demon they would receive an even greater reward. The area started to flood, and I was clinging to a plank being washed away. A couple of the grunts came after me, surfing on the planks so I pulled myself up and took them down using my Fleuve D'etoiles. Others came and they shot at me, so I used my whip to grab onto a flesh covered beam and swung myself around and kicked one off of the plank he was surfing on. I then summoned Sagittarius to take out the other two. He couldn't get a hit on Lummy so I called him back."

"Who's Lummy?" Gray asks realizing Lucy never gave him the full story, just a watered-down version. Natsu, Erza, Happy, Wendy and Carla realize the same thing.

"A bunny demon with a very annoying laugh," Lisanna replies.

"She wasn't manly at all," Elfman puts in.

"When we came across her there were a bunch of demon bunnies, all asking me if I knew where the hot guys were at," Warren huffs.

Lucy giggles, "Oh dear and I thought one was bad enough."

"You have no idea," Lisanna says.

"I then summoned Virgo to fight her and then Torafuzer swam towards me so I summoned Loke. They were fighting their respective enemies on planks while I floated on one of my own. Loke and Virgo use more magic power than most, so it was draining my magic quickly. Then Jackal appeared and I hit him with my whip, completely forgetting about his curse when it wrapped around his wrist. He sent explosions down it, blowing up my whip and knocking me into the water. I clung onto the plank while taking numerous hits. He wanted to play with and torture me before he killed me."

Lucy draws in a deep breath, and it stutters when she breathes out.

Laxus gives her a squeeze, "It's alright, you're doing great."

"I was close to my limit, keeping two zodiac keys open and taking those attacks. I gathered the rest of my strength and summoned Aquarius."

Gasps all around. "I thought it was impressive when you summoned two at the GMG…" Alzack says.

Freed continues the thought, "But to summon three is simply amazing, I never heard of anyone of being able to do such a thing."

Lucy continues paying no mind to everyone's commentary, "Aquarius was able to wash Jackal and Lummy away and hold them back but Torafuzer was able to swim against her currents. Aquarius took a hit from him but was able to stay in the human world and because she was holding onto me I went flying and landed on the ground."

"That guy was a bitch," Gajeel says.

"Jackal sent a curse at me and shattered my knee. Torafuzer wanted to kill me right away, but Jackal made it clear that he wanted to torture me more, so Torafuzer left. Lummy held me up, thinking she was going to be helping Jackal torture me but instead he blew up her head. It was brutal…" Lucy clears her throat and continues, "Aquarius got back up and pushed him away with her water and held him back so she could tell me that there was a way to win. Because I was strong enough to summon three gates and keep them open, I was strong enough to summon the Celestial Spirit King."

"Whaaaaat!?" everyone shouts.

Lucy ignores the outburst and continues, "He doesn't have a key so the price to summon him is a hefty one. You can only open his gate once and only by breaking a golden key forever. It can't be any gate key. The kings gate will only open if the level of trust between wizard and spirit is especially strong. Aquarius told me to break hers."

"Oh my Mavis, Lu…" Levy says, tears running down her cheeks.

"It's alright. It's not as hard to talk about anymore." Lucy continues, "She's not dead, just stuck in the spirit world. Even though it was extremely hard, I used what power I had left and broke her key to summon Stache Face."

"Stache Face?" Laxus questions.

"Yeah, if you saw his mustache you would get it." Lucy giggles.

"That thing is as tall as the guild hall!" Natsu exclaims.

"Just how big is this guy?" Bickslow asks. How big How big

"Huge." Gray says.

"A lot of what happened next I heard from my spirits. I was on the ground trying to recover from the exhaustion between my body taking all those hits and my magic level being low. Stache Face came down from the sky and brought the cube down. Apparently he and Mard Geer knew each other but no one knows how. Stache Face was pissed about the pain and suffering that they put me through. He also felt he owed it to my friends for helping the celestial spirit world."

Mira chimes in, "of course we would help. You're our nakama and by extension your spirits are too.

"Thank you Mira," that statement brings tears to Lucy's eyes. "He battled it out with Mard Geer and because he was summoned by me, he was inexorably bound to me and fed off of my magic power. I was still able to continue my fight with Jackal but that's because I was gifted with Aquarius's power. Aquarius holds great power and one of the things I was able to do because of it was form a water barrier, a force field of water that blocked Jackal's attacks. Despite my exhaustion I cast Urano Metria and took out Jackal. But because of my exhaustion Stache Face lost his potency and used one final attack, an omni-directional attack, Galaxia Blade, which is what broke the Alegria curse and freed everyone. The last thing he did was turn Mard Geer into stone, it didn't last long but it lasted long enough."

Silence….

"I've heard that when a celestial mage recognizes their strength and capabilities they're a force to be reckoned with. This says a lot about you Lucy." Makarov states.

"What about Aquarius's key?" Levy asks.

"It was broken until a new one appeared in the human world. I found out during the war with Alvarez that a new one had spawned. It could be anywhere in the world but the last rumor I heard was that it's on this continent."

"Is there anything we can do to help?" Bickslow asks. Help help. "What you had to do I can only imagine what you must be feeling. If I had to sacrifice one of my babies…"

"No need." Laxus lifts Lucy off of his lap and walks over to Freed and pulls the key out of his pocket so Freed can undo the runes.

"What are you talking about Laxus?" Then Lucy can feel the familiar celestial magic.

He turns back around and hands Lucy what he has in his hand, "I found her next to a pond in town."

Lucy takes the key from Laxus's hand and stares down at it. As she looks back up at Laxus, tears are welling up in her eyes. She jumps up at him. He catches her, her arms going around his neck and legs going around his waist. Then kisses him. After she pulls away she says, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

"Anything for you Blondie."

Lucy is too happy to care about what he just called her. Instead, she slides down off of Laxus. Which Laxus is grateful for. As much as he loved being in that position with Lucy, they are in front of their guild mates.

Lucy goes up to the bar and asks the bartender, "May I get a glass of water please?"

The bartender nods his head and gets it for her. He places it on the bar and says, "there ya go miss."

"Thank you." Lucy puts the key in the water and says Aquarius's incantation:

"I am the person who connects the road to the stellar spirit world

Thou shalt respond to the calling and pass through thy gate

Open Gate to the Water Bearer

Aquarius!"

A golden light shines and there above the bar is the blue mermaid herself. "Hey brat. I was in the middle of a date with Scorpio. I can't wait until you get a boyfriend so you can leave me alone," she says with a smile on her face, no hostility in her voice.

Lucy gives Aquarius a big hug, "Aquee! I've missed you so much!"

"Yeah, yeah. It's good to see you're still alive. I'd hate to have to spend the time breaking in another mage."

Lucy turns to grab Laxus's hand and pulls him forward. "Aquarius, I would like you to meet my boyfriend Laxus. Laxus this is Aquarius."

"It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance." Laxus holds out his hand. Aquarius raises an eyebrow but shakes his hand none the less.

Everybody looks at Laxus shocked.

Lucy's jaw drops and spins around to look at Laxus. When she gains her composure she asks, "what the hell was that?"

Laxus takes some offence, "What? I figured meeting Aquarius would be the same as meeting your parents." Laxus then mumbles, "so, I may have channeled my inner Freed." Laxus looks away with a blush. It gets redder when everyone laughs at him.

Lucy places a hand on his arm, "thank you, that means a lot, but you can be yourself."

Laxus looks back at her, "I can be bit of an asshole though."

"And Aquarius can be a bit of a bitch sometimes. She can take it."

"Excuse me brat!?" Aquarius shouts.

"You heard me. I still love you though!" Lucy says with a smile.

"You're lucky I love you," Aquarius growls out.

Everyone who has met the ornery spirit now looks at her in shock.

"What are you staring at? Can't I tell her I love her?" Aquarius shouts.

Lucy looks at Laxus, "see you two will get along just fine."

Aquarius turns back to them, "wait a second. Isn't this the guy you said was an asshole and had no fashion sense?"

"AQUARIUS!"

Laxus barks out a laugh, "don't get mad babe. I was an asshole, and you weren't the first one to comment on what I wore."

"I used to give him hell. I don't even know how he thought cheetah print was a thing." Evergreen says with a laugh.

"I love you Laxus-sama but I must admit what you used to wear was atrocious." Freed says with a smirk.

"Shut up. I was a big fan of Aerosmith back then," Laxus mumbles.

"Sorry to break it to ya, but only Steven Tyler can pull cheetah and leopard print off," Lucy says giggling.

Laxus crosses his arms with a grunt.

"Anyways, it's nice to meet the guy that stole Lucy's first kiss." Aquarius says with a hint of anger.

"If it's any consolation, I gave her mine." Laxus shrugs slightly embarrassed to be giving this little bit of information to the guild not knowing Bickslow already has.

"She was really your first?"

"Yeah, I was kind of an awkward guy back then…"

"Dude, you still kind of are," Gray says.

"Laxus was always a socially awkward teenager." Makarov chuckles.

"I remember going to bars with him to pick up chicks and he always struck out because he could barely talk to them," Bickslow laughs. Struck out struck out.

Laxus rubs a hand down his face, "will you all just shut the fuck up?"

"Relax Laxus," Lucy kisses his cheek, "it's cute."

"Woman, I am not cute."

"Fine. Adorable."

Laxus growls.

Lucy laughs, then gets serious. She cups his right cheek and rubs her thumb softly over his scar. "Handsome." Then gives him a chaste kiss.

Laxus embraces her and looks at Aquarius, "I know what you're thinking and don't worry. I'll take good care of her."

Aquarius smiles, "well I got to get back to Scorpio. Lucy?"

Lucy leaves Laxus's arms so she can turn around to look at Aquarius, "yes?"

"Same contract."

"Alright. Have fun on your date!"

"Wait!" Laxus stops her, "before you go I want to thank you."

"Thank me? For what?" Aquarius questions.

"For saving all of us and pass it on to the king too."

Everyone shouts, "Yes! Thank you!"

Aquarius blushes and leaves. Everyone hearing the "tch" when she goes but they all know that's her way of saying you're welcome.

Lucy looks back over at Laxus, "I'm surprised you didn't shock everyone."

"I would have if it wouldn't have hurt Aquarius. The last thing I want to do is piss you off."

"Smart man."

"You said earlier you don't know how you got the nickname the Celestial Goddess. What you did for us during the battle with Tartaros is a good example as to why you got that title."

Makarov adds, "you're a beautiful, bright, intelligent, courageous woman with a lot of heart. You are there when people need you. You don't back down especially when it comes to protecting your friends and family. You embody everything Fairy tail is about. Casting Fairy sphere showed that. You've grown so much and keep discovering new things about celestial magic. Add onto the fact you can put up with Laxus—" He's cut off by the growl from Laxus.

"If anything, you should be named the Queen of the fairies." Freed states.

"I agree" Erza concurs.

"Hmmph, I don't think so." Evergreen says haughtily but at the same time has a big smile on her face.

"I can't be the Queen of the fairies because I am the Celestial Goddess!"

"We're going to be buttering doors for a while from building up her ego." Gray laughs.

"Hey!" Lucy shouts at him.

"There's nothing wrong with that, there's a lot we wouldn't have been able to do without Lucy and she's not given enough credit." Natsu says with his signature grin on his face.

Cana raises her glass, "To Lucy!"

"To Lucy!" "To Blondie!" "To Luce!" "To Bunny Girl!" "To Lulu!" "To Cosplayer!" Everyone cheers at the same time.

"Awww you guys." Lucy cries.

"Alright c'mon Lucy, drink with me." Cana nudges Lucy with her arm.

"You won't let up until I agree huh." Lucy sighs

"Damn right"

Lucy points her finger at Cana, "alright but I have conditions."

A/N: Sooo... How's it going so far? Flowing alright? Using too much from the Manga/Anime? (I'll be doing it less and less as the story progresses)

Is it referred to as mini lemons if there's no sex only foreplay? That's what will be going on at the end of the next chapter and I just want the warning to be accurate.
