Ravi belongs right before Lancia. I just accidentally wrote them out of order.

Death is the injury that cannot be undone. To kill is the culmination of the martial arts. To take life is to master life.
The tiger is strong. It meets danger head-on and fights with anger and ferocity. I took the nail and drove it into the wood. The wood was stronger than I, and the nail only scratched. Over and over I tried, focusing my strength into my five fingers. I dented the wood, and then I bore into the wood, and then I pierced the wood. Then I removed the nail, again using only my fingers Every day I practiced the one technique for three hours. Two years later, I drove the nail into the wood and removed it with my forefinger and thumb.
The crane is light. It occludes the weak spot and tires the enemy without tiring itself. I walked around the rim of the water-filled clay pot. Every day, my teacher removed a cup of water. The pot grew more and more unstable, but still I walked. When the pot was empty, I walked on the wicker basket, carrying more and more weight. Every day I practiced for four hours. Three years later, I walked across the grass without breaking it.
The leopard is swift. It wins the fight before the enemy begins. I snapped my hand out, throwing the dart as quickly as I could. I was slow, so slow my teacher could snatch the dark a foot from my hand. Over and over I threw, visualising the leopard falling from the tree. I honed my muscles as I refined my aim. The movements became natural as I made them part of me. Every day I practiced for three hours. Two years later, I pierced the glass pane with a thrown needle.
The snake is precise. It needs no more than one strike. I took the chopsticks between two fingers. I began by plucking handkerchiefs from the air. It was easily mastered, and I moved on to coarse crumpled paper. When I mastered that, my teacher used thinner sheets of uncrumpled rice paper. Every day I practiced for four hours. Three years later, I snatched the rice grain tossed in the air.
The dragon is versatile. It shifts into the other animals and brings them together. To fight a dragon is to fight smoke. I revisited all I had learned, honing and practicing the smallest movements. I felt the spear pricking into the hollow of my throat. With strength, speed, lightness, and precision, I bent over it. Every day I practiced for eight hours. Five years later, the spear snapped beneath my throat.
Ravi is Lebanese, with olive skin and black hair.
That's probably way less time than it takes in real life. It just makes a cooler story for her to know all those things in the Arena.
