"You men really have absolutely no manners when it comes to handling a lady," Harumi remarked, unable to contain her passive aggressive comment. It was her natural instinct, and the only thing that was keeping her from noticing the now immense stress the tail was putting on her stomach. Not to mention that everytime she wriggled, it would tighten.
"Sasori my man. Welcome back." Deidara as he stood there with his eyes slightly red.
Sasori?! She had heard that name before. Sasori of the red sand. He was also an S-rank criminal and his name was in the bingo book. Why did Itachi decide to surround her with psychotic criminals? The only person's name she didn't recognize was Deidara. Maybe he just wasn't dangerous enough to end up there.
"You let her get away? Again?" Kisame asked, his nonchalant tone making his teasing, yet disappointment, clear.
"She threw salt in my eyes. Salt. I don't even know where she got it!" Deidara defended himself.
"She sent a signal flare, make sure you kill anyone who shows up," Sasori warned before turning to Harumi and saying, "you would make a lovely puppet."
She suddenly felt bad. She didn't think about sending that signal through. She did it in a moment of desperation, not even thinking that if any weaker level ninja answered the call, they would be killed. She just hoped if anyone did see it and was coming, called back up first and was very strong.
She was also about to make a remark about his comment about her being a nice puppet but froze when she felt the tail move towards her throat and wrap around it. Her hands instinctively tried to pry it off, but he tightened it, causing her heart rate to spike. So now, not only did he have full control of how much damage he could do to her waist and ribs, but her throat now as well. And of course, her being as lucky as she was, she now had to worry about three of them.
"Let go," she said through gritted teeth, making sure her voice came out confident, not mirroring the fear that he would crush her windpipe or damage her vocal cords.
"You sent out a help flare and you expect me to listen to anything you say? You're our prisoner here, you are in no position to be making any demands," he replied as his tail tightened even further, causing her to gasp and her hands to tighten around it. She had no choice and sent as much chakra as she could to her hands.
She began successfully pulling it away from her neck, ignoring the fact that it continued to press harder against her ribs. She took in an inhale of air, but it was short lived as he slammed her body into the ground before lifting her back up into the air. Her eyes widened. He was a lot more rough than the other two were. She felt herself begin to choke slightly as it pressed against her throat further, and it began to really scare her.
"Stop it," she rasped out as her eyes shut tightly.
He didn't.
"Are you trying to crush my windpi- stop!" Harumi cut herself off as she started to see black dots. He finally compiled by throwing her out of his grasp and towards the closest wall. As soon as she hit the wall, she wondered how many times she had been thrown around and her blood began to boil. She coughed harshly, taking in as much air as possible. She hated Sasori the most by far, and that was saying something since Kisame deeply cut her arm and Deidara had been toying with her for the past while.
"I'm surrounded by sadists. The old guy likes choking, sharky is into blood, and blondie is simply into causing pain. Lucky me," she stated as she touched her throat, knowing it was going to leave a mark. That, and she wondered if he had possibly fractured something as it hurt everytime she breathed. Deidara looked shocked at her choice of words, Sasori was scowling, and Kisame had an evil grin on his face.
"Where's Itachi by the way? Wouldn't it be easier to just have him deal with her?" Deidara asked, capturing her attention.
"Itachi should be here any minute, he's dealing with a few ninjas," Sasori replied.
Her hand fisted, no. She wasn't ready to see him, she didn't know how to react. She wasn't ready for all those memories to come pouring back in, she had spent too long trying to leave everything in the past.
She used the wall as support and got up. There were three of them now, and the new one probably didn't mind stabbing her to make her stay down. She bit her tongue, the adrenaline was starting to fade, causing all the pain to start making itself known. She didn't care though, she just wanted everything to stop at that moment. Everything to pause so she could scream at the world for bestowing such a cruel fate upon her. She wanted to cry and curl up in a ball, hiding away from everyone.
Just as the thought came, she remembered the one person who helped her as she woke up shaking. She reminded herself of the whole reason she was trying to run, the whole reason she was fighting so hard. She needed to get back to Hido, the one person she knew loved her just as much as she did him. The one person she could rely on to always be there for her, the person who's friendship with her was so close that he may as well have been her family. No, he was her family, even if it wasn't by blood. She needed to get out of here, and she needed to do it right now. But how?
You need to leave.
She felt her chakra spike slightly. She almost smiled. He wanted to leave almost as much as she did.
"Earth Style, Bottomless Swamp!" Harumi released the jutsu, slamming her palm into the ground. They all scattered, getting to higher ground.
"Fire Style, Phoenix Flower Jutsu!" She watched as the fire balls released, seeing how Sasori used his tail to block while Kisame and Deidara moved out of the way. She headed for the door and swung it open. Kisame jumped in the air and prepared to swing Samehada while Deidara got his bombs ready and threw them.
"Wind Style, Great Breakthrough!" she yelled, watching them all be blown back. She didn't want to overuse her chakra, but she needed to keep them at bay. She ran out of the building and prepared herself.
"Earth Style, Earth Dome!" she said as she watched the earth create a dome around the building. She breathed heavily, that was good. Now the terrain was perfect. They were all a good distance away from her, and they couldn't get on the ground or they'd be swallowed up whole. She had about a ten second head start before they found a way to get out of the place and maybe another five to ten seconds to break the dome itself. She smiled. That little bit of chakra he gave her helped quite a bit.
She turned around and was about to run, but then she saw something that made her heart drop.
There, with eyes a flaring red, stood Itachi Uchiha.
