Chapter 6
Christina was bummed when they climbed into the Impala before heading back to the RV park that the airhorn did not go off. She tried to figure out what had gone wrong without giving away her prank. She had an opportunity to check it when they stopped for an early dinner as they wanted to tell the kids that the house burned down and that the house will be unsafe for them due to the fire, and found it had fallen over but when she reached to fix it, her brothers had already gotten back inside the car as they decided on take out instead of dining in the restaurant.
They made a quick stop at Malachi's house to see one wall was barely standing but looked as if a slight wind would cause it to collapse. "I don't think Malachi will be coming." Dean said with confidence that none of his younger siblings shared.
"Let's just hope." Sam muttered before Dean continued to drive to the RV park. When they pulled up they all saw that Ed and Harry were slowly packing up their small hatchback with bags and their plastic lawn decorations when Dean pulled to a stop. "Where you boys going?" Sam asked as he and Dean walked up to the boys.
"Do we tell them?" Ed asked looking at Harry who was carefully sliding in their folded chairs.
"Might as well." Harry said with a smug smile which made Sam and Dean confused. He watched as the Winchester brothers each moved closer and peered inside the car.
"We had a movie producer call us as he wants to buy the rights to Murdoch's story." Ed beamed smiling when Christina finally move out of the back seat and stood behind the protection her brothers were showing.
"Really?" Dean was surprised by the excited look in their eyes as they both nodded. "Wow, that's pretty cool."
"I know right?" Harry said his smile spreading more as he gazed on Christina who slid closer towards Dean. "He wants us to visit him in Hollywood to sign the deal."
"Yep. The next time you hear of Ed Zeddmore and Harry Spangler we're going to be on the Silver Screen!" Ed winked at Christina who rolled her eyes before plastering on a polite smile.
"Well, we both wish you boys luck." Dean said catching the stiffness in Christina's shoulders as she pressed against his arm. He put an arm around her to reassure her that he was there and waved at the boys who slowly climbed into their car.
The Winchesters waved for a few minutes before their car drove off, them dragging the small trailer behind them and they all turned back towards the Impala.
"I have a confession to make," Sam said as they slowly walked back to the Impala. Dean and Christina looked back at Sam who smiled back at them. "I'm the one that called them, I pretended to be that producer."
Dean chuckled and shook his head. "I'm the one that put that fish in their car." Dean smirked showing the wrapper that once was wrapped around his fish sandwich he had ordered for dinner. They both turned and looked at Christina who frowned.
"I guess I waisted my time in the car." She said rubbing the back of her head. "I mean I'm not really good at pranks." She frowned and Dean patted her back.
"It's okay," he said looking up at Sam. "I'm calling a truce."
"A truce?" Sam asked warry of what Dean might be planning.
"Yeah a truce." Dean said standing next to driver's door. "At least for the next hundred miles." He laughed and Christina watched as both her brothers entered in the car.
A loud horn sounded causing Sam and Dean to jump smacking their heads on the roof of the car while trying to quickly get out of the car. Christina laughed while she clapped her hands seeing Dean peer underneath the seat and pulled out the airhorn that Christina had fixed while her brothers hand gone to speak with Harry and Ed. "You have no idea how happy I am to see you guys suffer the wrath of Christina's pranks." She said tears starting to slide down her face.
"We called a truce." Dean growled tossing the air horn at his sister which she caught it.
"I never said truce." Christina said laughing. "Besides that was after I had set it. So my prank still stands."
Sam looked at his brother and started to laugh as Christina continued to smile back at them. "Well, I guess she's fair game." He said which Christina's smile faltered a little.
"Yeah," Dean said forgetting he was angry and smiled back at his siblings. "But for now, let's get the hell out of here."
Sam and Christina nodded and they all entered the Impala and once they were inside, Dean peeled out of the parking lot and towards places unknown.

Dean only drove for a few hours before stopping at a small hotel when they reached Houston, and rented out a room. Both his siblings didn't complain as they were tired as well. Once the room was rented for the night the three Winchesters stumbled inside their room, after Dean did a quick safety search, and took turns getting ready for bed.
"We should get up early for the continental breakfast," Dean said with a dreamy look in his eyes. "I heard they are serving Waffles."
"I think that should be okay." Sam said sliding into his bed and pulled his blanket around his chest. "Are we staying or are we supposed to head somewhere specific?"
Dean shrugged. "I think we'll just take a few days off. Relax, enjoy the sights."
"I think that would be fine. I'll still look at possible cases though."
"Buzz kill." Dean mumbled rolling on his side.
Christina, who was in the bathroom getting ready for bed, looked around finding a small couch that was up against one of the wall and tossed her backpack to use as a pillow and curled up to sleep. But seconds later looked at her backpack as the muffled ring of her cellphone came from inside a pocket. Dean and Sam watched as she answered her cellphone. "Hello?"
"How close are you to Baton Rogue?" Bobby's unmistakable growl that could be the fact it was four in the morning and was most likely still hadn't fallen asleep.
"Why? Did someone call?" Christina asked sitting up and rubbing her eyes forgetting her own desire to sleep.
"Yeah, a man by the name of Christopher. He said he's an old friend of yours."
Christina fought to yawn on the phone. "Yeah, the name is familiar. Is he needing help right away?" She asked trying not to sound irritated but wanting to take a possible case.
"Yeah, just try and be there soon. I'll let him know you're on your way."
"Sounds good. Thanks Bobby." She hung up and let out a sigh before yawning and rubbing her forehead trying to decide what she should do.
"You doing okay?" Sam asked leaning up and seeing her lay back down after setting an alarm on her cellphone. "What did Bobby want?"
"I have a friend in Baton Rogue that needs me." She said laying down and closing her eyes. "But I'll tell you more when we're heading there."
Dean let out a groan of annoyance as he lay back down. "So much for some R and R." He muttered getting himself ready for bed.
"Oh bite me, Dean." Christina snapped tired and just as annoyed. "I'll make it up to you."
"You better." He said and closed his own eyes.
Sam sat there and looked at his sister who was laying down and her eyes were closed and watched as she forced herself to slow down her breathing. He hated how he was now in the middle of this uncomfortable annoyance with his two siblings and hoped that they were only temporary annoyed from the rough night they were having.

The next morning Dean was indeed able to make himself a large waffle with eggs, bacon, sausage and toast while Sam made some oatmeal with fruit, cream and an English Muffin and Christina had a bagel with cream cheese and a small bowl of fruit. Dean moaned as he took each bite making his siblings rather uncomfortable when some of the other guests and staff looked their way.
It only took a half-hour to finish their breakfast, in which Sam was ready to perform the Heimlich maneuver in case the large bite of waffle and then coffee that would finally teach Dean to chew his food, before they piled into the Impala and drove off towards Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The four hour drive seemed longer as Dean kept singing off key with his radio making both his siblings silently groan wishing for him to stop. But Dean continued to sing with the song at the top of his lungs and only stopped when they stopped outside a hotel with a combined diner and turned off the car.
"You're a real Jerk." Christina groaned as they stepped out of the car to the sound of passing conversations and cars honk.
"I know." Dean smirked. "It's the joy of being the older brother." He smiled again making Sam and Christina roll their eyes as they watched Dean strut into the hotel.
"I'm gonna see if Christopher is going to be at home or the store." Christina mumbled as she moved to the far wall just inside the lobby as to not cause problems for the other guests inside. She dialed a number and raised her phone to her ear.
"What a glorious Morning," came a high pitched voice on the other end. "Who may I direct your call?"
"I need to order special herbs." Christina said her voice level.
"Well I got just the thing for you. May I ask what specific herbs you need?"
"Thistle and Sage."
There was a small pause before the voice almost exploded Christina's speaker. "Oh my god! Christina! You in town?!"
Christina grinned and watched her brothers talking to each other while Dean flirted with the woman at the front desk. "Yeah you called Bobby and he sounded like you need some help."
"Yeah. I need your help. Is there a way you can meet me at the shop? I'll explain everything when you get here."
"Yeah that's fine. Can you give me about an hour? I just arrived not that long ago."
"That's fine." Christopher said in his usual bubbily voice. "Or I can come there and meet you."
"No!" Christina screamed causing a few guests and her brothers to look at her before she chuckled and hid her face as she felt them start to burn with embarrassment. "I mean I'm not that far from you and I don't want you to close your shop down just for me."
"That makes sense. Even though you are worth it as your my friend."
Christina chuckled as she turned around seeing her brothers still at the front desk. "Stop that, you know how to make a girl blush."
"I'll see you in an hour."
Christina nodded before agreeing and hung up. She didn't know if bringing her brothers to meet her friend was a good idea until she watched the woman, Dean was flirting with, rejected going out with him.
Dean pouted slightly as they reached their room, which was a nice suite with three queen sized beds, a door separating one of the beds, a small kitchenette and two separate bathrooms.
"How could we afford this?" Christina asked heading to the spare room and sat her backpack on the edge.
"I worked my magic." Dean said even though he said it in a rejected voice.
"He flirted with the woman at the front desk and she gave him a sweet deal on the room but refused to go out with him." Sam said smirking.
"I see." Christina said walking out and rubbed the back of her head. "I need to head somewhere to meet my friend. May I borrow the Impala, please?"
Dean looked up and raised an eyebrow. "Why can't we all go?" He asked already moving on from his recent rejection.
"You can...but my friend can be a little...different and you don't know how to talk to him." Christina said smiling softly.
Dean shook his head. "No, it might be dangerous and I'm not letting you be on your own. We don't know why we're here and I don't want to risk any of us getting hurt."
"Fine, whatever. Let's go and talk with him." Christina said not wanting to argue with her brother and lead her brothers back out to the Impala.
A/N:
I'm sorry for the delay in chapters I sometimes get busy with life and I just found the time to type. There might be some errors as I'm doing this on my phone and for some reason the app that I use doesn't save my progress or just highlights and deletes it while I'm typing. plus all my computers are currently being used. But hopefully I will be able to pump out more chapters! Thank you for the continued support!
