Things have been crazy but I'm going to try and get more chapters out in a relative better fashion thanks for your continued love and support.
Chapter 22
John sat holding the Colt tightly in his hands as this three kids sat around the room all were looking at Sam, who was sitting on the edge of a bed.
"So are you sure this family is the next target?" John asked after Sam had told his family what he found out and the hunch he had with the family. "Because if you're wrong we've wasted the opportunity to end this thing that's been haunting us for years."
"I've learned to trust Sam and his hunches." Christina said sitting next to her brother. "That's saying something as I've only been working with them for only a few months. But he was the same way in College. I learned to trust him and he never steered me wrong."
"But this hunch could ruin a mission that we worked for the last twenty two years. You would never know about that. You were never around." John said.
Christina bit her lip for a second before she stood up slowly. "Kind of hard to be around when you abandon me the first chance you get." With a quick turn she was out the hotel door slamming it behind her.
John fell silent as he looked at his two sons who continued to sit quietly not knowing what was going on in their heads.
Christina fought with tears as she kicked at discarded rocks on the sidewalk trying her hardest not to give herself a panic attack from what was going to be a fight once she got back to the hotel. She hated the man who helped give her life. Someone who not only abandoned her brothers for weeks on end, left her alone for years, only to treat her like an orphan looking for a handout. She let a few tears to roll down her cheeks when she felt her cellphone vibrate in her pocket. She wiped a few tears away, pulled her cellphone out and didn't recognize the number. After taking a deep breath to calm her nerves she answered the call and placed the phone against her ear.
"Hello, Christina." The voice made a cold shiver down her spine as she froze in the middle of the sidewalk making her turn around expecting to see someone that would match the voice she was hearing. "Don't bother looking around. I'm not going to attack nor take you. But I want to warn you. Time to collect our little debt."
"What debt?" Christina asked her fear suddenly gone as she remembered distinctly she never made any type of deal with any demon in her life. "We never made a deal. I have nothing for you to take. You gave me information freely. I never said I would ever returned the favor."
The voice began to growl but Christina was surprisingly not scared. "You will regret not giving what I want, girl."
"Well, it's your damn fault you're bad at making deals." Christina said before hanging up. As soon as she hung up her cellphone buzzed again and Dean's name popped up making her answer it quickly. "Dean what's going on?"
"Christy, where are you?" Sam's voice was more curious but there was some kind of fear in his voice.
"I'm just down the street. There's a gas station that I'm in front of."
"Okay well Sam and I are needing to head to a pawn shop to pick something up for Dad. We don't want you by yourself out here. Go find Dad. He's back at the hotel."
"Dean I don-" she was cut off by Dean ending the call. She took in a slow breath as she figured that, though what John had said about her, they did need to get to know each other and burry the hatchet as it seemed that once they were done with John's revenge then they could one day just laugh about all this.
She sighed heavily as she turned and headed back to the hotel and saw that John's truck was still in the parking lot and that John was standing next to the passenger side door. Upon arriving to him John tossed his keys at her making her catch them awkwardly as she wasn't expecting them.
"Come on you drive." John said before climbing into the passenger side seat.
Christina slowly moved to the drivers door and climbed in. She adjusted her seat and started the car. The rumble was the only sound for the few seconds until she was on the street heading towards the direction John had pointed towards. "We going to meet up with Sam and Dean?" Christina asked after a few seconds.
"Eventually," John said softly. "But first I want a drink. You look like you need one too."
Christina gave a smile and nod before pulling into the first bar that they were driving past. When they stopped Christina tried to hand the keys over to John but John shook his head. They headed inside and took a seat at the bar.
"What can I get you folks?" The bartender asked seeing as John and Christina got themselves comfortable.
"Just a couple of shots of Jack and Buds please." John said making the tender nod his head. "You okay with the drink?"
"Yeah, I'm fine with it." Christina said grabbing a few pretzels that were in the small bowl in front of them. "But I have a feeling that this isn't a social interaction."
John sighed and nodded. He smiled weakly before picking up the shot glass and slammed it back swallowing the harsh liquid before looking at his daughter who took the shot herself. He continued to stare at his daughter just amazed that she looked a lot like the woman he was wanting to avenge. "Got a call from an old acquaintance of Sam's and I need to head to Kansas. A friend of ours was murdered because this woman had slit his throat in order to get the colt."
"So you're going to give the colt to her?" Christina asked picking up her beer and slowly began to sip at it.
"No. Dean and Sam are getting another one that looks similar as a decoy while you three kill that demon that started all this. But under no circumstances are you to come after me if something were to go wrong."
"So you had to take me to a bar, get me a bit liquored up to tell me this?" Christina said downing the rest of her beer.
"I didn't know how you'd react." John said honestly. "Sam and Dean didn't take it all that well."
"I kind of understand. I mean they just found you again and now you may be killed."
John took in a slow breath as he wanted to choose his words carefully. "I know this won't fix what I had done in the past but, I want to...Give you my truck. It's paid for and chances are I won't need it."
"Is that why you let me drive it?" Christina asked not going to look a gift horse in the mouth if John was serious.
"Yes." John said nodding.
"Well, thanks for that." Christina said giving a soft smile.
John grinned and heard his cellphone going off inside his pocket. Pulling it out John saw it was a text message from Dean and slid it back into his jacket pocket and pulled out his wallet. "Dean and Sam are done with their shopping."
"Okay then." Christina said handing John a ten to help pay for the drinks but John shook his head and handed back her money.
"It's my treat. Now lets go head and meet up with your brothers."
Christina nodded and followed after John.

The truck slowly bumped along the uneven dirt road and Christina slowed to a stop. Jumping out of the truck she handed John the keys and received a silent "thanks". Dean and Sam were waiting standing, leaning up against the Impala, making John and Christina to walk up and join them.
"Let's see it." John said holding out his hand and Dean placed a Colt revolver into his father's hand. "Nice job. If you're not looking too close I'd say it's pretty spot on."
"What's going to happen if they find out that it's not the Colt?" Sam asked the question everyone had been thinking it.
"I'm gonna try and not stay around long enough to have that situation." John said. He stepped closer making all three siblings to lean in as John lowered his voice slightly. "But if something does happen you don't come after me. You make sure you end this quest tonight. Understand?"
"Yes, sir." All three reluctantly agreed.
"Good. Now good luck you three." John said turning around and heading back to the truck. After he climbed in he stared at them for a few brief minute as if it was going to be the last time he was going to see them. But he quickly pulled out and headed out leaving his three kids to clamber quietly into the back of the Impala.
The drive to a small two story house in the middle of the night was quiet which was mostly from the possibility of loosing their father. Christina was feeling more scared as she never forgave John and had refused to call him dad. She quietly prayed that he would stay safe so that she could forgive him and call him dad like he was.
"When is this going to happen?" Dean asked as they continued to stare at the house.
"I don't know." Sam answered his eyes not leaving the top right window. "I hope this isn't a wild goose chase...We need to be with Dad."
"He has this covered. He'll be alright. He asked us to finish this thing through. Then we'll meet back up and everything will be good. Plus we will be able to live-"
"Aaagh!" Sam screamed as he gripped his head making both of his siblings turn to look at him. "He's here!" He said through his squeezed eyes and tears. "Come on!"
All three ran inside and heard a woman screaming from the nursery that was on the top floor. Dean and Sam ran in first and saw the wife sliding up against the wall a large slice on her stomach. Sam instantly reached and grabbed her while she screamed about her baby that was in her crib crying. Christina ran in and gently picked up the child and as soon as the baby's head left the pillow flames erupted from the crib searing Christina's face and hands as she was close. But the baby remained unhurt.
As Sam and Dean ran out with the screaming mother and father, who ran in after hearing the commotion, Christina was blocked by a board falling in front of her. Fear gripped her as she looked away and began to cough but knew the baby, who was still screaming in her arms, was in danger. She carefully tucked the baby closer to her chest and leapt over the board feeling the heat from the flames lick at her pants and hands. But she was determined to get out of there alive. Burns can heal. Life can not be replace. She thought making it to the other side.
The mother was still screaming, this time in her husband's arms as the four adults waited for Christina to emerge from the flames. When she did flames could be seen burning her jacket's sleeve but she didn't seem to care. She ran up and handed the screaming baby to the mother and patted out the flames with the help of Dean and Sam.
Soon Sam turned around seeing as the flames exploded out of the top story window and his face paled. "He's there!" He yelled pulling out he Colt away from the bystander's sight. "He's dead!" He screamed heading to the door where there was still flames but was stopped by Dean. "Let me go Dean!"
"No! You'll only get yourself killed!" Dean screamed back pulling Sam back making all three to look up at the window.
They continued to watch the flames dance and consume the house only leaving a dark shadow in the shape of a person to slowly burn out of view. While the family was distracted with making sure each other were okay allowing Dean, Sam and Christina to sneak off before emergency services arrived at the scene.
"You going to be okay?" Sam asked Christina as they climbed into the back of the Impala.
"Yeah I'll be fine." She answered looking down and tried her hardest not to cry as blisters began to form on her skin.
"Let's get out of here." Dean said as he could see the flashing lights of the emergency vehicles rounding the corner.
The Impala pulled away before the emergency vehicles pulled up. Dean grabbed his cellphone and dialed his father's number. The phone rang a few times before it was picked up on the other end.
"Dad, we saved the family but we weren't able to finish the job."
"Oh I bet John wouldn't have liked that." Meg's voice was cold making Dean pull to the side of the road. He twisted his phone so his siblings can hear as well.
"Meg." Dean growled his eyes darkening with anger. "Where's our father?"
"He's dead. You should have heard him too. Begging for us to spare him. He sounded pathetic."
"There's no way Dad's dead." Sam snapped nearly pulling Dean's cellphone out of his hand. "What have you done to him?"
Meg's chuckle seemed to echo on the other side as she refused to answer. "Don't think too much, Sammy Boy. John's dead and you three are next."
The line went dead and Dean fought to not break his steering wheel as he quickly pulled back onto the street at high speeds. "That black eyed Bitch!" He screamed with a darkening growl.
"Dean, I don't believe she killed dad." Sam said trying to calm his brother down and glancing back at his sister who was staring shocked at the seat in front of her. "But we will be needing some help getting him back."
"What's your idea?" Dean asked clearly trying to displace his worry with anger as he snapped at his brother.
"Bobby can help us." Christina said breaking out of her trance. "He's got the supplies to help find him."
Dean let out a breath to try and calm him down. "Alright let's go see Bobby."
