Hey everyone, I'm sorry for the massive break between chapters. I have been struggling to get back into the swing of things. Chapters will be coming hopefully more frequently. Sorry, also this chapter will be semi different from the episode. So please don't hate me. Thanks for your understanding.

Chapter 29

Sam and Dean both stood right outside the Fun House, waiting for their sister to arrive. After a few minutes, Christina walked up, looking a little shaken as she stood next to Dean. "Where did you run off to?" Dean asked.

"Had to take a phone call." Christina said before swallowing hard. "So we're thinking something's hiding inside the Fun House?"

"We don't know, to be honest." Sam said, pulling out the EMF meter. "Dean said he got some readings."

"Well, what are we waiting for then?" Dean said, taking a step towards the Fun house quickly, followed by Christina, who hesitated for a few seconds before following close, however, could see as soon as they entered. Christina quickly grabbed hold of Sam's arm like she would be whisked away at a moment's notice. He turned to ask her if she was okay, but just then, a skeleton on a trip wire slid in front of him suddenly, making him jump and causing his sister to squeak. He knew this was unlike her as he never so once seen her scream at a haunted house back when they were in college. Sam and Christina quickly found Dean, and they all got out. By the time they did and Sam had turned around to ask Christina what was wrong she had dropped his arm, and Dean was now looking around for anything out of the ordinary.

"Unless this place is using actual human bones," he stated, causing both Sam and Christina to look at him.

"I've got no clue what's going on." Sam opened his mouth to say something, but a little girl's voice broke through to them.

"Mommy, look at that clown."

"Honey, what clown?" the mom had asked, causing the Winchesters to notice a sad looking clown standing off in the back, from in between two of the carnival games tents. The siblings watched as the clown slowly backed away and vanished from sight, making the young girl frown with disappointment.

"There was a clown, mommy." The girl said.

"Hey, it's okay. We might have just missed it." The dad had said as he gently grabbed the girls hand. "Come on, let's go get some Cotton Candy."

The girl's squeal of excitement seemed to have made the child forget about the clown she had seen. The Winchesters looked at one another and knew what they needed to do. While Sam and Dean had to back to cleaning Christina started to follow the family around the Carnival making sure if they left they could follow as all three had a feeling this was the creature's next victim and Sam, Dean and Christina were determined to make sure they wouldn't be.

It was around eight o'clock when the family left the carnival, and Christina had called Dean to let him know what car the family drove. Dean had Sam call the local police acting like a concerned citizen to gather the family's address so that they were able to save them before whatever creature was after them found the house.

they sat and waited quietly with the silent hope that they hadn't mistaken the wrong family and another family was in danger. They only waited for a few seconds before Dean gently shook Christina awake, which she didn't realized she had fallen asleep, and all three watched the young girl open the door allowing the same clown she had seen at the carnival.

"Stay in the van." Dean said, pulling out his gun and stepping out. "I pretty sure we'll need to get out of dodge rather quickly."

"So I should keep it running?" Christina asked, sliding into the driver's seat once Dean and Sam closed their doors.

"Yeah, and the side door open." Sam said, knowing he might need to jump into the side door if Christina was sitting in the driver's seat. She nodded and quickly slid the side door open and settled back into the driver's seat before cranking over the engine. The sputtering made her heart skip a few beats as she was scared that it was going to die on her.

"Don't worry..." A voice rang in her ear, which caused her to look into the back, hoping that nobody had climbed in when her back was turned. "Don't worry..."

Christina wasn't able to think too hard on the voice when gun shot, glass shattering then screaming making her throw the car into drive right as her brothers rushed out and almost comically leapt into the side door before she took off. She tore through the streets getting away from the house as quickly as possible before making it out onto a city road which she quickly made it outside of finding a random road that lead to nowhere in particular Christina stopped and looked down at her brothers. "What happened?" She asked, leaving the seat and kneeling in between her brothers.

"That clown came to attack the family." Dean said, looking around at the van, not hiding his joy that he was going to be leaving its corroded siding and uncomfortable seats. "But this thing didn't seem to mind being hit by iron rounds. Not only that, it vanished as soon as it fell out of the window."

"It actually vanished before it hit the window." Sam recalled with a clear of his throat. "But I'm at least happy to know that the family is safe now."

"But for how long I wonder." Dean said, then looked at his sister. "But thanks for getting the van ready to go before we ran out. Made our getaway nice and easy."

"Not a problem." Christina said, pulling over to the side and turning off the car. "But to be on the safe side, I can tell you want to ditch the van."

"Glad to see the Winchester's patent mind reading ability rubbed off on you." Dean joked, standing up and hopping outside the van door. "Well, let's get to work."

Sam and Christina worked on rubbing down the surfaces of their finger prints, including the keys, and left the van before closing and wiping down the handles. Dean had just tossed the license plates inside his duffel bag to dispose later when they got back to Bobby's and kicked a rock that bounced off the tire as a last Dean headed off back into town Sam pulled out his cellphone and began to dial someone leaving Christina to almost have to jog to keep up with both of her brothers.

"So I just spoke to Ellen," Sam said once Christina was able to catch up with them. "She says we're dealing with a rakshasa. It's Hindu, and it feeds off human flesh."

"So why just adults that are eaten?" Dean asked, slowing his stroll as he caught a glimpse of Christina jogging to catch up again."Not enough meat on the bones?" Sam suggested. But they can die. It has to be killed by a dagger of brass."

"I know a place where we can get that." Dean said, adjusting his duffel bag and looking forward down the road.

"So how do we find this thing?" Christina asked, falling in line with her brothers on either side of her.

"Well, when it's not killing, it's in its human form much like a Striga. This creature also sleeps on insects, so that's our killer clown."

"I bet I know who the creature is. Cooper. He looks like his old man, and so by process of elimination and to think he can use that excuse and get away with killing, we'll tag and bag him." Dean stated, strutting confidently down the street.

"Dean," Sam spoke cautiously, gently pulling his sister to his other side in case Dean became violent with his next statement. "Speaking of dad... how are you doing dealing with what happened?"

Dean froze for a second before continuing asserting himself as someone in control. "I'm fine, so quit asking."

"Dean, we're both worried about you." Sam pressed again, knowing his brother was indeed struggling with something. "Let it out. We won't think less of you."

"I said I'm fine, Sammy. But the next time someone asks me that I'm throwing punches." Dean rolled his shoulders, and Sam knew Dean put up a wall he couldn't break down, and the three kept walking in silence.

It had reached night by the time the three Winchester siblings reached the carnival and were able to sneak in through the front by distracting the ticket salesman and sneaking past. Nobody tried to stop them as they raced to a small dark corner and waited for everyone else to vacate the area before the siblings went to work. They all hoped that nobody would ask too many questions if they were stopped. Fortunately, they weren't stopped, and Sam and Christina separated from Dean, who went to find the blind knife man for the dagger, and they reached Mr. Cooper's trailer.

"Think you can get inside through the window?" Sam asked, seeing that Mr. Cooper wasn't inside his trailer.

"Only if you give me a boost." Christina said, checking the handle of the trailer first and found it locked.

"Kind of guessed since you're super short." Sam joked only to get a better bitch look then he could ever do from his sister. "Only stating the facts." He said managing to open the window and take the screen out. "Alright on three." He said preparing his hands to allow him to hoist his sister inside. "One," he counted as Christina placed a foot in his grip. "Two, three."

With little effort from her brother Christina was able to climb through the window and slipped as graceful as a newborn giraffe as she fell to the floor with a small squeak of surprise as she the bed she thought she'd fall onto was pushed about a foot away from the floor. But she quickly recovered as she was there to check something important. Working quickly and ignoring Sam's command of urgency she tossed back the sheets and turned on the flashlight to look closely to see if there were insects that Mr. Cooper was sleeping to her dismay, there wasn't even a speck of dirt that she could find. Standing up, she walked over to the window only to freeze when the light turned on and Mr. Cooper stared at her with a shotgun pointed at her. He looked a little crazy as she could personally see that Mr. Cooper had been indulging in alcohol. She concluded that he had been sleeping at his office desk which could explain why she didn't see him.

"Mr. Cooper..." she said, her voice loud enough to get her brother's attention. "I can explain everything."

"I knew there was something wrong with you three." Mr. Cooper said his eyes narrowing. "Let me guess, my ex wife sent you three here to incriminate myself."

"No." Christina said her voice staring to quiver. She was scared of saying the wrong thing and getting herself shot. "I had accidentally dropped something and I didn't want you to get rid of it."

"That's nonsense!" Mr. Cooper yelled, he lifted the gun up. Before he could fire Sam had snuck behind him and hit him over the head knocking the man out.

"Let's get out of here." Sam said helping Christina out of the trailer and them running away further into the darkened they were a few hundred feet away from Mr. Cooper's trailer they ran into Dean who looked shocked and kept looking over his shoulder. "It's the blind man." He said when they reached him.

"What?" Both of his siblings said at the same time.

"The blind man is the killer. He's not really blind he just pretends to be. Not only did I find his creepy clown costume but his bed is less to be desired."

"Okay so we know who the monster is...did you get the knife?" Sam asked looking at Dean's side to see if he had it.

"No. He didn't have any, plus I didn't really stick around long enough to check. I was too busy trying not to get stabbed by flying knives."

"Fun house." Christina said her voice squeaked slightly but cleared her throat when her brothers turned to look at her. "The organ has brass pipes. It's not a dagger technically but it looked pretty sharp and I'm sure it could be used as one."

"Alright that's a good thing you noticed it." Dean said walking towards the fun house. "Come on you two, lets bag this bitch."

The three quietly rushed to the fun house which surprisingly didn't have a door to block them from going inside. But that was just an open invitation for the three siblings and each ventured into the building. But as soon as they walked in the floor dropped sending them each falling into two openings and a wall closed shut separating Sam from Dean and Christina.

"Sam!" Dean yelled as he tried to break down the wall that separated him from his brother.

"Just meet me in the middle!" Sam yelled back as Dean struggled to knock down the wall.

"Alright fine...we'll meet you there." Dean said taking a step back and giving the wall a final kick before turning and leading his sister who looked to have been fighting her own fear but followed close behind him. He opened his mouth to ask her a question but thought better as they needed to focus on more important they turned the corner that lead to a large organ that blew steam, Dean peered down the hallway and walked out when saw the organ blowing off steam that gave a hazy heat look, much like a horizon in the middle of the summer. Dean walked into the hallway with Christina close behind him.

They were halfway through the hallway when a knife shot at them narrowly missing either one of their heads but pushing them backwards. Soon three more knives was tossed at them two of them pinned Dean to the wall while the third was nowhere to be spotted. Sam ran into the hall through another opening near the steaming pipes after he heard yells coming from his two siblings.

"Get the pipes!" Dean said, trying to get the knife out of his shirt sleeve. He saw Sam grab hold of a pipe and recoil letting out a hiss of pain. Dean looked up and saw a large red wheel that was used for smoke and turned to reach it when another two knives came and pinned his other shirt sleeve onto the wall. As he looked down at his new predicament, he saw Christina up against the wall and holding onto her side a bloodied knife in her hands. "Sam hurry!"

"One minute." Sam yelled, having the mindset to grab a handkerchief from his jacket and began to pry off a piece of the pipe.

Dean hoping that the invisible monster wouldn't attack him now that he was pinned was grateful when he saw Christina, gritting her teeth and managed to pry out two knives from his left shirt sleeve.

"You okay?" He asked seeing her turn around and held the knife out as if she was ready to use it for defense.

"Talk later." She snapped back. Sam rushed to her to see if she was okay.

Dean had managed to reach the wheel by stretching his arm out and sent the hallway into a white cloud of smoke from pipes hidden in the ceiling.

"Sam behind you!" Christina yelled and Sam, without looking back, sent the broken pipe into the creature that was revealed by the smoke.

The whole hallway was filled with a loud piercing scream before it was covered by the hissing of the smoke. Dean quickly turned off the smoke and the three watched as something fell, staining the floor with something dark before vanishing completely.

Sam rushed over to Dean and helped yank the remaining two knives and all three walked out of the fun house and stared at it for a few minutes.

"I'll say it," Christina said through a hiss of pain, "I really hate fun houses." The three let out a few uncomfortable chuckles and they headed towards the entrance hoping to find a vehicle they could swipe to get home.
