Here is the first One-Shot of the series. This is a Christmas special for this holiday season in 2022 from the Kid Icarus series. Here's a little disclaimer. None of the characters here in this short story belong to me, except for my OC, Lucifer (or Devil Pit). They belong to Nintendo. Christmas in Skyworld

It was Christmas Eve in Skyworld. Everybody was gathered around for the holidays. From Skyworld's mightiest protectors, Pit and Palutena, along with the centurions, to the gods from their places, Poseidon, Pyrrhon, and Dyntos, to even the familiar humans who were invited to the special celebration, those being Magnus, Gaol, Tommy, Lily, and her parents. They even brought Lily's little dog, Trent, for the special celebration. What was also a surprise is that the Underworld Army were also invited for the celebration. Hades, Medusa, Twinbellows, the Hewdraws, Amazon Pandora, and Thanatos were there to enjoy the party. Even Lucifer was also there to the Christmas party because Pit invited him, although he was a bit hesitant for the arrival because he didn't know how anybody would feel about him. "This party isn't so bad as I thought," he said to himself. "I guess I could get used to something like this." Suddenly, he heard footsteps coming at his direction. Those footsteps came from Amazon Pandora who walked up to the Devil and sat next to him. "So, how are you enjoying the party, Lucifer?" she asked. "It's alright, I guess," Lucifer replied. "But why did Icarus invite me anyway?" "Because you deserve a little fun with all of us, bro," Pit said as he came up to his brother. "Don't you want some fun around here? After all, it is Christmas!" "I suppose you have a point," said Lucifer. "I should probably go with the flow and let everybody, including me, enjoy the holidays while it lasts." Pit and Amazon Pandora smiled to hear that as they decided to join everybody else for the party. Just then, they heard loud growling coming from the food table.

"For the last time, Twinbellows, the food is for EVERYBODY! Not just you!" the red Hewdraw yelled out. Twinbellows growled at the Underworld commander in response. "Will you two cut it out?!" Medusa scolded. "We must enjoy the party my sister is hosting. Not fight against one another during this special holiday!" This made the two of them stop fighting. "S-Sorry, my queen," the red Hewdraw apologized and Twinbellows whimpered in saying "sorry." "Well, Medusa, I think it would be best for all of us to enjoy the party together, since we're here to celebrate Christmas," said Hades. "I agree with Lord Hades, my queen," said Thanatos. "Let's enjoy the party while it lasts." "No arguments here," said the violet Hewdraw. "I love this party," said the blue Hewdraw. "At least we get to enjoy the food and drinks together for this occasion." Hades, Medusa, and the other Underworld commanders nodded in agreement.

Tommy and Lily were watching the whole party as they played with their toys. "I love this holiday!" Lily squeaked in joy. "It's the best of all of them because we're all together to enjoy the celebration!" "I agree with you, Lily," said Tommy. "But I also love spending it with you, your parents and dog, and mommy and daddy." This made Lily blush. "Aw. You're so sweet, Tommy," she said and Trent barked in agreement while chewing on his chew toy. Magnus, Gaol, and Lily's parents were watching the kids and pet play together. "Aw. It's so cute watching the kids play with their toys!" said Lily's mother. "I agree with you, sweetie," said Lily's father. "It's really nice to have them together for the holidays." "*sigh* I'm glad my son is enjoying his good times with a friend," Magnus sighed. "Of course, Magnus. After all, we're all here to enjoy the Christmas party together," said Gaol. "Why don't we continue to watch the kids as we hang out together?" "I agree with you, Gaol," said Magnus as they continued to watch the two children, and the dog, play together.

Pit, Lucifer, and Amazon Pandora were walking to a table where the Forces of Nature were at. "We're here, Viridi," said the light angel. "Ah! There you are, Pit!" Viridi exclaimed. "We've been waiting for you!" "Oh come on, Mistress Viridi! You were the one mostly waiting for the angelic cutie,~" Phosphora teased. This made Dark Pit, Lucifer, and Amazon Pandora snicker at the blushing faces from both Pit and Viridi. "C-Can you shut up already, Phosphora?!" Viridi yelled. "Now now, Mistress Viridi, we're all here to celebrate the holidays together," said Arlon. "After all, Lady Palutena hosted the party to begin with, and we must be greatly appreciated for having her, along with young master Pit, inviting us over to enjoy it." Cragalanche silently nodded in agreement. "Yeah. You're right, Arlon," Viridi agreed. "Friends or foes, we all have to enjoy the big Christmas party together. Plus, the Christmas dinner will be starting soon." "I can't wait to give out presents!" said Pit. "Mine is going to be a very special surprise!" "Me too! I would love to show my present!" said Dark Pit. "I would love to enjoy the party and give out my special present to someone very kind, too," said Amazon Pandora. "Isn't that right, Lucifer?" "Yeah, I guess so..." Lucifer replied. "I mean, I do have a gift as well for someone." "Let's save the presents for a surprise after the Christmas dinner," Arlon suggested. "After all, it would make things much better for all of us to enjoy." The others nodded in agreement and they continued their conversation with each other.

Palutena, Poseidon, Pyrrhon, and Dyntos were at another table watching the Angel Brothers, Amazon Pandora, and the Forces of Nature enjoying their little chat. "It's nice to have them enjoy the party together like we do," said Palutena. "I'm so happy we get to bring everyone together to enjoy the celebration for Christmas." "I must say, you really did a find job hosting this party, Lady Palutena," said Poseidon. "I'm absolutely enjoying it with pride." "I'm grateful you're enjoying the Christmas party, Lord Poseidon," said Palutena. "Hoh boy! Pyrrhon LOVES this party, Palutena!" Pyrrhon boomed. "I'm absolutely enjoying it while it lasts! I'm also happy to let me help you make the hot chocolate!" "I really appreciate your help in making the hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies, Pyrrhon," Palutena replied. "I'm also enjoying this Christmas party as well, Palutena," said Dyntos. "I'm as fabled as a fruitcake with your hard work. It really warms my old heart." "Thank you, Lord Dyntos," Palutena thanked. "I couldn't have done it without the help of Pit and the other gods. Speaking of which, it's almost time for our Christmas dinner. Let's bring everyone together and enjoy the enormous feast! After we're done, I have a very special announcement." The others nodded as they gathered everyone to the Christmas dinner table.

Soon enough, everybody was at the dinner table to enjoy a big feast. Before they could dig in, Palutena stood up from her seat. "Attention, everyone! I have a very special announcement!" she called. "I want to thank all of you for coming over to the Christmas party. I'm so happy to have all of you together for the holiday season! Now before we dig in for the big feast, how about we share our Christmas gifts to the others?" Everybody nodded in agreement for the idea. "Great! Then I guess I'll go first," said Palutena. "For this holiday season, I have a gift for my angel, Pit. Here you go!" She handed a present to the light angel. "Aw! Thanks, Lady Palutena!" Pit thanked before inspecting his gift box. "I wonder what's in it. Let's open it to find out!" He then unwrapped the paper, opened the box, and gasped at what he saw. "Wow! It's the photo from the day I saved you the first time from the Underworld Army! I looked so young back in the day!" he exclaimed. "It's all yours, Pit! Merry Christmas!" said Palutena. "Thank you so much, Lady Palutena!" Pit thanked and got up from his chair to give Palutena a big hug, while the Goddess of Light smiled sweetly. "Now then, time for me to give my present," he continued after he let go. "Here you go, Viridi." He gave the Goddess of Nature his gift box. "Thank you, Pit! I wonder what's inside?" she said. "Let's find out!" She unwrapped the paper and opened the box. "*gasp* No way!" she gasped as she saw something sparkle within the box and took it out. "It's a beautiful locket filled with flowers and shiny diamonds! I love it!" "Me and Lady Palutena made it, although I did most of the work," said Pit. "But that's not the only thing, Viridi. This opens up as well." He pushed the clasp to open the locket. Inside read the words, "To my beloved Goddess of Nature." Viridi couldn't believe her own eyes as she started to tear up. "I-I..." she started before getting up from her chair and hugged the angel in a tight embrace. "I LOVE IT A LOT! THANK YOU SO MUCH, PIT! YOU'RE THE BEST!" she sobbed. "Anything for you, heh, Mistress Viridi," Pit chuckled as he returned the hug. "Merry Christmas, Goddess of Nature." This made Viridi stop crying in joy and join the laughter. They soon let go of each other and went back to their seats. "Okay. It's my turn to give my present," said Viridi as she got up again and walked up to Phosphora. "Here you go, Phosphora." She then gave the Lightning Nymph her gift box. "Why thank you, Mistress Viridi! Let's see what's inside this present," said Phosphora as she unwrapped the paper and opened the box. She let out a big gasp. "Oh... My... GOODNESS! It's... It's... A DETECTIVE PIKACHU PLUSH?!" she yelled in excitement. "I always knew you loved electric type Pokémon, and this is just for you, Phosphora," said Viridi. "Thank you so much, Mistress Viridi!" Phosphora thanked. "I love it a lot! Maybe I can play with the kids with this after the Christmas dinner." "We would love that!" said Lily. "I agree," Tommy added. "Now then, time to give my present," said Phosphora as she got up from her seat and walked to Dark Pit. Viridi went back to her seat after giving the Lightning Nymph her present. "Here you go, Pittoo. I got something just for you,~" said Phosphora as she gave the dark angel her gift box. Hehe.~ Can't believe that rhymed,~ she giggled in thought. "Alright. Let's see what's in here," said Pittoo as he unwrapped the paper and opened the box. "Wow! It's a drawing from the day I first joined the Forces of Nature," he exclaimed. "I drew that memory all by myself! With a little help from Mistress Viridi and the other commanders," said Phosphora. "Thanks, Phosphora. I love it!" Dark Pit thanked as he got up from his chair and gave the Lightning Nymph a hug. "You're welcome, Pittoo. I knew you would love it," Phosphora replied. After a while, they both released each other and Phosphora went back to her seat. "Looks like it's my turn to give my present," Dark Pit continued. "Here is your gift, Magnus. I hope you like it." He then gave the strong human his gift box. "Thanks a lot, dark angel face. Let's see what's inside," said Magnus as he unwrapped the paper and opened the box. "Oh wow! A brand new pair of boxing gloves! I can't wait to test them out during my training with Gaol!" he exclaimed. "Thanks, Dark Pit. I really appreciate it." "Don't mention it, Magnus," Dark Pit replied as he went back to his chair. "Now then, time to give my gift to you, Gaol," Magnus continued as he gave Gaol his gift box. "Take it or leave it." "Thank you, Magnus. Time to see what it is," she said as she unwrapped the paper and opened the box. "Oh my. It's the picture we took during our first meeting as mercenaries," she gasped. "Thank you, Magnus. I love it." She then gave Magnus a hug. "You're welcome, Gaol. I knew you would love the gift," Magnus replied as he returned the hug. After a while, the both of them let go of each other. "Time for me to give my gifts," said Gaol. "Here you go, Lily, Tommy, and Trent. These gifts are for you." She then gave the kids and dog her gift boxes. "Wow! Thank you, mommy!" said Tommy. "I wonder what's in these boxes?" said Lily. "Let's open them up!" Trent barked in agreement as the three of them unwrapped the paper and opened the boxes. "*gasp* I got a neat toy airplane!" Tommy gasped. "I would love to take it for a spin!" "I got myself an angel costume, and it fits my size!" said Lily. "I can't wait to put it on and show it to Pit! I better go and change right now!" She quickly dashed out of the dinner table to change herself. "Hehe. I guess Lily loved it so much she just wants to try it on right now," said Pit. Trent got himself a big bouncy ball for him to play with. He barked happily for the present he got. "Thank you so much, mommy! We loved your gifts!" said Tommy as she gave Gaol a big hug. "Anything for you and your friends, my little sweet boy," said Gaol. After she put Tommy down on his seat, Lily came back in her angel costume. "How do I look?" she asked. Everyone was amazed to see her like that. "You look so adorable!" Palutena giggled. "You remind me of my younger days when I first met Lady Palutena!" Pit gasped. "Maybe we can play together one day!" "That would be so much fun!" said Lily. "Thanks for the gift, Mrs. Gaol!" "You're welcome, Lily," Gaol replied as Lily went back to her seat. "Hey, Lily? Do you want to give our gifts to your mommy and daddy?" Tommy asked. "Yes! Let's do it, Tommy!" Lily replied. The kids got out of their seats and walked up to Lily's parents. "Here you go, mommy and daddy," said Lily. "Here's our gifts for you," Tommy added as he and Lily gave her parents their gift boxes. "Aw, you're so sweet, you two," Lily's mother sighed. "Let's see what's in these boxes," Lily's father added. The two of them unwrapped the paper and opened up the boxes. "*gasp* It's a two-framed picture from the day of our wedding!" Lily's mother gasped. "I remember that day when I married you, honey!" "I remembered it, too! This is the best gift we have ever gotten!" said Lily's father. "Thank you so much, Lily and Tommy!" The two of them gave the kids big hugs. "You're welcome, mommy and daddy. Tommy helped me with the photo and frames," said Lily. "Now you two can relieve the memory together," Tommy added. They continued their hug for a while before letting each other go and going back to their seats. "I think we should give our gift next, honey," said Lily's mother. "Right. Here you go, Lord Poseidon. This is our gift we picked for you," said Lily's father as he and his wife walked up to the God of the Sea with their gift box and gave it to him. "Thank you kindly," said Poseidon. "Let me see what is inside." He then unwrapped the paper and opened the box. "My my. You two gave me a little sculpture of my palace. I must say I am truly loved by this gift," he continued. "Thank you so much, dear humans. I am grateful for this." "You're welcome, Lord Poseidon," said Lily's mother. "We're glad you loved the gift," Lily's father added. The two of them went back to their seats. "Time for me to give my gift to you, Pyrrhon," said Poseidon as he walked up to the Sun God with his gift box and handed it to him. "Here you go." "Why thank you, Lord Poseidon!" said Pyrrhon. "Now let's see what's in this box!" He then unwrapped the paper, opened the box, and let out a big gasp. "*gasp* Would you look at this!" he exclaimed as he pulled out a gift card. "$100 to a supply of crispy chicken wings at Popeyes! Now THIS is a big gift Pyrrhon loves! Thank you so much, Lord Poseidon!" "You're most welcome, Pyrrhon," Poseidon replied. "Glad to see that you love it." "Oh, and since Pyrrhon is a kind god, he would love to share all the crispy chicken wings to all of his friends!" Pyrrhon announced. Everybody applauded with big smiles on their faces to hear this. "Consider this as my present shared with all of you!" the Sun God continued. "But now, it's time for me to give my gift to you, Lord Dyntos!" He got up from his chair and walked to the God of the Forge with his gift box. "Here you go! I hope you enjoy it!" Pyrrhon continued further. "Well, thank you, Pyrrhon," Dyntos replied. "Let me see what you got for me." He then unwrapped the paper and opened the box. "Well I'm flattered by this. You gave me a brand new anvil and hammer," he continued. "Thank you so much for the gift, Pyrrhon!" "No problem, Lord Dyntos," Pyrrhon replied. "Pyrrhon is happy to see you loving that gift!" The Sun God soon went back to his seat. "Now it's time for me to give my gift to you, Arlon," said Dyntos as he walked to the Serene commander with his gift box. "Here you go. Enjoy your present." "Why thank you, master Dyntos. Let me see what I have gotten," said Arlon as he unwrapped the paper and opened the box. "Well I'll be amazed. A wonderful flower pot with many different colors," he continued. "This will be perfect to set up in my room of Mistress Viridi's temple. I'll be glad to place pretty flowers in it. Thank you for the gift, master Dyntos." "No problem, Arlon," said Dyntos. "Glad to see you enjoying the gift." He then went back to his seat. "Now it is my turn to give a gift," Arlon continued. "This one is for you, master Thanatos." He walked up to the God of Death and gave him his gift box. "Well, thank you Arlon," said Thanatos. "Now, let's see what's in this gift." He unwrapped the paper and opened the box. "Wow! A brand new pair of Christmas socks and they fit my size! I love them!" he gasped. "Thank you for the gift, Arlon!" "You're quite welcome, master Thanatos," Arlon replied. "I'm glad to see you smile for your gift." He then went back to his seat. "Now it's time for me to give a gift," Thanatos continued. "This one is for you, Pandora." He got up from his seat, walked up to the Goddess of Calamity, and gave his gift box to her. "Here you go, my partner. Here is my gift to you!" he continued. "Thank you, Thanatos," said Amazon Pandora. "Let's see what is inside the box." She unwrapped the paper and opened the box. "Wow! A shiny tiara to fit on my head! It's so beautiful!" she gasped. "Thank you, Thanatos. I love it!" "You're welcome, Pandora. Anything for my partner," Thanatos replied as he went back to his seat. "Now then, I believe it is time for me to show my gift," Amazon Pandora continued. "This one is for you, Lucifer. This is my present and love to you." She got up from her seat and gave the Devil her gift box. "Thank you, Pandora," said Lucifer. "Let's see what you have gotten for me." He unwrapped the paper and opened the box. "What's this? A pet Guttler? I guess it loves me and wants me to become its owner," he said. "Thanks, Pandora. I'll take good care of it...and make sure that it doesn't eat anything it's not supposed to." He walked up to the Goddess of Calamity and gave her a hug. "You're welcome, Lucifer. This is my gift and love to you, of course," Amazon Pandora replied and hugged Lucifer back. After a while, the two of them let go of each other and Amazon Pandora went back to her seat. "Guess it's my turn to give my gift," said Lucifer. "Here you go, Lord Hades. I'm sure you'll love this gift." He walked to the Lord of the Underworld and gave him his gift box. "Well, thank you very much," said Hades. "Let's see what's inside." He unwrapped the paper and opened the box. "My goodness. It's a poster of me and my Underworld commanders. Even my little sweet Medusa," he gasped. "I made it myself," said Lucifer. "Thanks so much for this gift. I really love it!" Hades thanked. "I'll be sure to hang it up in my room once I return to the Underworld with the rest of my commanders." "No problem, Lord Hades," Lucifer replied as he went back to his seat. "Now I believe it is my turn to give a gift," Hades continued. "This one is for you, my sweet little Medusa." He then gave his gift box to the Goddess of Darkness. "Thank you, Lord Hades," said Medusa. "I must now open up the gift to see what's inside." She unwrapped the paper and opened the box. "Hey. This is the picture from our first date," she gasped. "You're so sweet, Lord Hades. I can't thank you enough for this present." "Anything for my Underworld queen, Medusa," Hades replied and the two rulers gave each other a big hug. After a while, they let go of each other. "Now, this is my present to you, sister," said Medusa as she got up from her seat and walked up to the Goddess of Light. "Here you go. I hope you enjoy it." "Thanks, Medusa. Let me see what's inside," said Palutena as she unwrapped the paper and opened the box. She soon let out a big gasp. "*gasp* This... This is... A drawing of the both of us, including Gaia, during our past times here in Skyworld!" she exclaimed. "I... I LOVE IT SO MUCH!" She quickly ran up to Medusa and gave her a big hug. "Thank you so much, my dear sister!" she sobbed as tears poured out of her sockets. "You don't know how much this means to me!" Medusa smiled as she hugged her sister back. "You're welcome, Palutena," she replied. "Only for the best of one of my sisters." After a while, the Goddess Sisters let go of each other and went back to their seats. "Before we dig in, I would like to propose a toast," Palutena announced. "To all of us together for this holiday season, for all the gifts we have received and shared, and most importantly, be playful with one another in the most kind way possible!" "CHEERS!" everybody said all together. "Okay, everyone! Dig in!" said Palutena. Everybody soon began to eat their Christmas dinner for the rest of the day. It was truly a grand spectacle for this year's Christmas.
