In an empty conference room at Kaibacorp Seto Kaiba was looking over his Duel Monsters Deck only to frown. "Mokuba, have they arrived yet?"
"They should be here any minute Seto." Mokuba replied. "I can't wait to see how they react to seeing us again."
Kaiba only smirked as he flipped over the top card of his deck revealing his Blue-Eyes White Dragon just as the door opened revealing several people walking into the room including some of the participants of the Battle City Tournament.
"You called us Kaiba, is everything alright?" Yugi asked curiously.
"This isn't another crazy evil maniac trying to take over your company, is it?" Joey questioned.
"Not even close Joey, this is actually something you guys might be really interested in." Mokuba smiled. "Do you remember Yusei and the others?"
"Remember, how could I ever forget them after everything we went through." Yugi smiled as a brown-haired boy wearing a red blazer and white pants blinked.
"Yusei? Oh yeah, wasn't he one of the finalists in the Battle City Tournament? He played that Stardust Dragon card, right?" the boy asked.
"Exactly Jaden." Kaiba confirmed before looking at everyone in the room. "They were duelists who somehow managed to travel back in time and I think it's about time we return the favor."
"Hold on, are you suggesting that you can travel through time?" asked a silver-haired young man. "How can that even be possible?"
"That's exactly what I'm suggesting, and it's very possible Aster." Kaiba answered turning to him.
"He's right, I mean after aliens, another dimension, and everything else we've faced time travel just sort of fits right in." Jaden agreed.
"Alright Kaiba, so what are you plotting now? Time travel and talking about Yusei, Jack, and the others." Joey pointed out only for Kaiba to smirk as a projector behind him turned on displaying a list of rules for a tournament called the World Racing Grand Prix.
"World Racing Grand Prix?" asked a girl with long blonde hair. "What in the world is that?"
"It's a tournament, one that doesn't exist yet, but it does exist in Yusei's time." Mokuba answered. "One that we're going to go and enter."
"Exactly." Kaiba smirked. "They were generous enough to come and compete in my Battle City tournament so it's only fair we return the favor."
"Hold on, what kind of tournament is this?" Joey asked. "I mean, what are the rules of this thing?"
"We were just about to get to that Joey, first things first the entire tournament is turbo duels." Mokuba answered. "Since. Some of you didn't see what happened with Dartz before basically they combine Dueling with riding a motorcycle."
"Riding a motorcycle while trying to Duel, that sounds incredibly dangerous." the blonde girl pointed out. "It's an accident waiting to happen."
"We took that into account, the motorcycles or Duel Runners as they're called have a very sophisticated autopilot system and even with that we'll be arriving before the tournament starts for registration and to get used to riding." Kaiba told her. "That aside there's more to this tournament than that. Entries are team-based, you can have as many people in a team as you want but teams can have a maximum of three duelists and one reserve member in case someone can't duel for any reason."
"So, like if someone crashes or something? I thought you said this autopilot system would prevent that." Joey frowned.
"It doesn't have to be a crash; it could be that you were exhausted and aren't at your best to duel one day or maybe a member of your team just needs a break for a match." Mokuba explained.
"I suppose that does make sense." Aster nodded. "So what else do we need to know about this tournament?"
"As a team-based tournament you win when all members of the opposing team run out of life points or lose through some other method such as running out of cards to draw. Though when a duelist is eliminated it proceeds immediately to the end phase, and any cards the defeated duelist left on the field can be used by the next member of their team." Kaiba answered. "In other words, cooperation among team members is vital to achieving victory."
"In other words, we need to understand not only how our decks work and how our teammates decks play but how to combine them into one cohesive strategy for the entire team." the blonde girl noted.
"You got it Alexis, but there's one other hugely important rule that changes everything. These duels all are based around a new field spell called Speed World 2." Mokuba explained as an image of the spell appeared. "It's essential to a Turbo Duel and can't be removed from the field for any reason."
"So that means Jaden won't be able to use Neo Space or his Skyscraper." mentioned a young man with black hair.
"It's more than that under the effects of Speed World 2 normal spell cards are strictly forbidden from being activated. Attempting to use one will incur a 2000 life point penalty." Kaiba mentioned. "Instead, duelists use a special kind of card known as a Speed Spell, which can only be used when you have the required Speed Counters."
"Speed Counters? What are those?" asked a short blue-haired boy wearing glasses. "Do they have something to do with the field spell?"
"You got it, during every Standby Phase both duelists get one more Speed Counter and when you have enough you can use Speed Spells, some just require you to have the right number while others you need to pay them instead." Mokuba answered. "Of course, Speed Spell cards have another use."
"Speed World 2 has three additional effects, by paying four Speed Counters you can inflict 800 points of damage by revealing one Speed Spell in your hand. By giving up seven Speed Counters you can draw one card and at the cost of ten you can destroy a card on the field." Kaiba confirmed. "Other than that, the duels are the same as what you're used to."
"That sounds like a blast." Jaden grinned. "So, who's teaming up with who for this tournament?"
"That's for you all to figure out." Kaiba answered. "Anyone who's planning on entering the tournament should be back here in one week."
"We should let everyone else know then and come up with the best teams we can." Joey mentioned.
"Right, this is going to be an amazing tournament." Yugi smiled as everyone left. Leaving Mokuba and Kaiba alone in the room.
"How many different teams do you think will show up Seto?" Mokuba asked curiously.
Kaiba closed his eyes in thought. "I'm not sure, but I do know that I'll be the one who emerges victorious from this World Racing Grand Prix."

Kaiba appeared in the center of a city in a flash of light before looking around. "So this is where they're from, it looks like I would expect from a future version of the town of Domino."
As he thought that a man with a scar noticed him only for his eyes to widen. "No way, it can't be."
Hearing that Kaiba turned only to pause. "You look familiar, have we met somewhere before?"
"Seto Kaiba? But… you were killed years ago in the Zero Reverse incident." the man cried in shock. "How can you be standing here?"
"That's a long story, I'm looking for whoever's in charge around here." Kaiba answered.
"That would be director Lazar, I can escort you to his office." the man mentioned. "I know it's been a while, but I'm Trudge… we attended Domino High together years ago."
"Domino… oh that's right." Kaiba nodded as he followed him. "You seem to have done well for yourself."
"Something like that, I'm working for Sector Security, the police force here in New Domino City." Trudge answered as he led Kaiba to a large building. "The director's office is on the top floor, I'm sure he'll be willing to talk with you."
"Right." Kaiba nodded walking into the building before heading to the elevator as he rode up to meet this director Trudge had mentioned.
Soon enough Kaiba reached the top floor and walked down a hallway before entering a room where to his surprise a persona that looked like a short clown with purple hair was sitting behind a desk who looked up at him.
"Is there something I can help you with?" the clown man inquired before pausing as his eyes widened in shock. "Wait… you, are you the Seto Kaiba?"
"That's right, I take it you know who I am?" Kaiba questioned.
"Of course, my name is Lazar. I'm the director of Sector Security." the clown man explained only to pause.
Seeing that Kaiba frowned. "You're wondering how I'm alive after that Zero Reverse incident right? I'm from… before it happened."
Lazar blinked before nodding in understanding. "Of course, how can I help you?"
"I'm looking for a man named Yusei Fudo and his friends." Kaiba answered. "I assume you know where I can find them?"
"Yusei? Yes, I know where he is, he should be with the other members of Team 5ds." Lazar answered. "They're likely preparing for the upcoming World Racing Grand Prix in order to defend their championship title."
"World Racing Grand Prix?" Kaiba inquired. "Some kind of tournament?"
"Yes, I should have a copy of the rules here." Lazar answered before looking in his desk before frowning. "I know I… aha here we are."
He took out a small folder before handing it to Kaiba.
Taking it Kaiba opened the folder. "So Yusei and the others are going to be participating in this tournament?"
"Yes, they are." Lazar nodded. "Is there anything else I can do for you?"
"Not at the moment." Kaiba replied before smirking. "Though this makes things much simpler."
With those words he walked out of the office to head back to his own time.

"Who do you think the teams will end up being Seto?" Mokuba asked. "I mean, there are a lot of really good duelists like Yugi, and Jaden."
"That's true." Kaiba nodded opening his eyes. "Though it really doesn't matter how skilled they are, because only one person will win this World Racing Grand Prix, and that's going to be me."
"Definitely, it doesn't matter who teams up because they won't stand a chance against you." Mokuba grinned only to pause. "Then again, Yusei and the others have a lot more practice than any of us so we need to look into the Speed Spells and I'm pretty sure a lot of people will need practice learning to ride."
Kaiba just nodded as he flipped over the top card of his deck and smirked.
