A/n: Hi, I'm back with another chapter for the story, I have to say that even though this chapter is a bit long, I finished sooner than I anticipated, I expected to finish by this Friday or maybe Saturday but here it is, I'm kind of impress with myself, I really hope to be able to continue like this to avoid keeping you waiting a long time for the next chapter
Anyway, let's get started
Appetite for Destruction
At a sea stack, two Nadders were peacefully grooming their wings until one of them got hit with yellow paint, so they quickly flew off passing by Hiccup and Toothless
"Okay, these Nadders get tagged yellow. That's how we know they belong to Sorrow Island" Hiccup said before Astrid and Stormfly flew near by
"Like this?" Astrid asked throwing a bag of paint to the other Nadder
Then, Astrid saw two more Nadders, so she started to chase them. She first threw a bag of paint to the first Nadder but the second started to fly up into the sky but she was able to hit it with the bag of paint
"Feel free to join in at any time!" Astrid yelled
"Okay" Hiccup said chasing another Nadder "How about now?"
The Nadder flew around some sea stacks trying to lose them, but when it looked forward, it realized that Hiccup and Toothless were waiting for it
Then, Hiccup changed his shield to its crossbow mode, charged it with a bag of pain and fired, hitting the Nadder in the chest
"Alright, I have to admit the shield is pretty cool" Astrid said
"Thank you, I quite like it myself" Hiccup said "I'm going to check on the twins, they're supposed to be marking the Crescent Island dragons"
"I'm sure that's going pretty well" Astrid said sarcastically
"Blake is with them, what could go wrong?" Hiccup asked
Meanwhile at Crescent Island, Ruffnut was looking for dragons until she saw a Gronckle eating a rock, Tuffnut was also looking for dragons until he saw the same Gronckle
Both of the twins threw a bag of purple paint at the Gronckle but it flew away, so Tuffnut's bag hit Ruffnut in the face
"Ha, cool. I've always wondered what you'll look like purple" Tuffnut said
"Seriously, again?" Blake asked walking towards the twins
"He could at least say sorry" Ruffnut said
"Alright, I'm sorry… that your head got in the way" Tuffnut muttered
"Heard that" Ruffnut said before tossing a bag of paint to her brother but he ducked in time, so the bag hit Thunder instead
It didn't take long for the twins to start tossing bags of paint to each other until Hiccup arrived
"Guys!" he said but that almost make him get hit by a bag of paint "You're supposed to be tagging the dragons, not each other" Hiccup said
"Actually, they did tag one dragon" Blake said gesturing at Thunder
"He kinda looks cool in purple" Tuffnut said
"You do realize that most of Thunder's scales are already purple, do you?" Blake asked crossing his arms
"Yeah? Well… this is pretty much Hiccup's fault" Tuffnut said
"How do you figure that?" Hiccup asked
"Uh, hello? You armed us with paint. How did you think this was going to go?" Ruffnut asked "And we're the stupid ones"
"How many do we have to do anyway?" Tuffnut asked
"As many as we can" Hiccup said "The more dragons we tag on each island the better we can keep track of where they belong and where they migrate to"
"Whoa, that was… uh…" Ruffnut struggled trying to find the right word
"Fascinating" Hiccup said
"What's the opposite of fascinating?" Tuffnut asked
"Hiccup, isn't there supposed to be one color per island?" Astrid asked
"Yeah, why?" Hiccup asked
"I see two colors there" Astrid said pointing at two Gronckles, one had purple paint like it was supposed to, but the second had green paint on it "Have we been using the wrong one?"
"I don't think so" Hiccup said
"Don't look at us, if we had green paint, you know where it would be" Tuffnut said
"Don't look at me either, I check that I was using the right color before marking the dragons" Blake said
"Better ask Fishlegs, this was his idea" Hiccup said
"You're going to fly all the way back to Berk?" Astrid asked
"No, I don't have to" Hiccup said pulling out a piece of paper
"What's he talking about?" Ruffnut asked
"He must have some of that magic paper we've been looking for" Tuffnut said
"It's not magic paper" Hiccup said as he wrote something on the paper "Fishlegs and I have been working on something new, we call it: Airmail", then Hiccup pulled out Sharpshot
"Stupid name" Tuffnut said
"Right" Ruffnut said
"Do you really think the Terrible Terror is going to fly straight to Berk?" Astrid asked
"Yep, right to the academy" Hiccup said as he finished tying the message to Sharpshot's leg "Terrors are especially territorial, so it's their natural instinct for them to return to their home wherever they get released"
Then, Sharpshot flew away not without messing with the twins a bit
"How do we know if he made it?" Astrid asked
"When Fishlegs and Snotlout meet us at Dragon Island" Hiccup said getting on Toothless' back
"Well, I guess we better go to Dragon Island" Blake said getting on Thunder's back
"Blake, do you seriously believe that it's going to work?" Astrid asked
"I was skeptical as you are right now, but it really works" Blake said "Fishlegs and Snotlout are going to be at Dragon Island when we arrive"
"Ha, if that happens, I'll kiss Snotlout on the lips" Astrid said
Meanwhile at Dragon Island, Fishlegs and Snotlout were waiting, Fishlegs was scratching Sharpshot's chin while Snotlout was completely asleep, he even was snoring
Then, Hiccup, Astrid and Blake arrived
"Well look who it is Fishlegs and Snotlout, both right here on Dragon Island" Hiccup said before Snotlout woke up "Astrid was talking about you"
"Of course she was" Snotlout said
Astrid glared at Hiccup who put his lips together and make kissing sounds, suddenly Astrid heard something and realized that Blake covered his mouth with his hands trying to hold his laughter
Then, they hopped off their dragons
"Say it and those will be the last words you'll ever speak" Astrid said cracking her neck
"Yeah, sure" Blake said cracking his knuckles
"Hiccup, I got your message" Fishlegs said "I knew Airmail would work, so what's your emergency"
"We've seen dragons painted green on Crescent Island" Hiccup said walking towards Fishlegs
"That's your emergency? I was in the middle of something very important" Snotlout said
"And that something very important is sleeping, isn't it?" Blake asked
"Beauty rest. You think this just happens?" Snotlout corrected gesturing at his face but the other teens just looked at him in silence
"Fishlegs, does it make sense to you that those dragons would be there?" Hiccup asked
"No, they shouldn't be" Fishlegs said walking towards a stone platform with a map on it, the map showed Berk and some nearby island each of them with a different color "Crescent Island is clearly marked purple"
"That's what I thought" Hiccup said
"So, what were the green dragons doing there?" Astrid asked
"First of all, it's not green it's pistachio" Fishlegs corrected pointing at an island in the map "They belong to Tall Tree Island where I tagged them"
"Yeah, well, your pistachio dragons aren't where they were supposed to be" Astrid said moving Fishlegs' hand to Crescent Island
"Huh, that's weird" Fishlegs said
"So… what do we do know?" Blake asked
"We need to figure this out, let's check out Tall Tree Island" Hiccup said
"Sounds perfect, I was wondering what I was going to do with the rest of the day" Snotlout said
Moments later they were all flying towards Tall Tree Island but Snotlout seemed to have other plans
"See you back on Berk, suckers!" Snotlout yelled before flying back to Berk
The rest of the teens only shrugged and ignored him
Moments later they arrived to where Tall Tree Island was supposed to be but it was nowhere in sight
"I don't understand, we should be there by now" Fishlegs said
"Maybe we're off course" Astrid said
"I don't think the island's called 'Tall Tree Island' for having small trees, so we should see it from here" Blake said
"You're right. Besides, an island can't just disappear" Astrid said
"Earthquake maybe" Fishlegs suggested
"Volcano" Hiccup suggested
"Wrath of Thor? Wrath of Odin?" Fishlegs said making the others look at him
"Uh… Fishlegs, I don't think Thor or Odin would make disappear an island just because they want" Blake said
"I'm just throwing possible explanations" Fishlegs said
"None of that explains that" Astrid said pointing at some incoming Monstrous Nightmares which were marked with orange
"Orange?" Blake asked
"Burn apricot actually" Fishlegs corrected
"What island are they from?" Astrid asked, so Hiccup pulled out the map
"According to this they're from Sunstone Island" Hiccup said
"Ah, Sunstone Island. Pristine beaches, a variable smorgasbord of fine mineral deposits for Meatlug" Fishlegs said
"Sunstone Island it is" Hiccup said
Moments later they arrived at Sunstone Island, but it wasn't like Fishlegs described it
"Huh, I thought it was bigger" he said
Turns out the island was so small that just by standing Meatlug occupied most of the island, Toothless and Stormfly were clinging on the edge while Thunder was able to stand on some rocks with one paw
"You think?" Astrid asked
"I have to say, the beaches are kind of a disappointment" Hiccup said just before Thunder lost his balance and fell to the water with Blake but they quickly came out
"One island is missing and the other has been shrunk" Fishlegs said
"More like sunk actually" Blake said
"What?" Hiccup asked
"Even though Thunder and I were only a few seconds underwater, I'm pretty sure that I saw an island" Blake said
"How could that happen?" Fishlegs asked
"I don't know, but… where could the dragons go if the islands are gone?" Blake asked
"Good question, dragons live in specific places for specific reasons" Hiccup said
"The food they eat, where they nest" Fishlegs said
"If they lose their homes, it could endanger their whole species" Astrid said
"We need to figure out what's going on, let's head back to dragon island" Hiccup said
"If it's still there" Astrid said before they flew away
They quickly returned to dragon island and luckily it was still there. However, there were even more dragons than when they left, all of them were marked with different colors
"Look at them all" Hiccup said
"Check their colors" Astrid said
"I see pistachio, burn apricot" Fishlegs said
"Look a new color: red" Astrid said
"Technically that's vermilion" Fishlegs said
"Could we save the art lessons for later?" Blake asked with a groan
"Dragons of three different islands came here" Hiccup said pulling out the map and a pencil "Look, this forms a line which means there are more islands in danger"
Then, Hiccup drew a line through three islands and ended it by placing it over two islands
"So, the next islands are Boar Head Island and Thor Rock Island" Blake said
"Toothless, were going back out" Hiccup said walking towards his dragon
"I'm coming with you" Astrid said
"I'll go too" Blake said as they all got on their dragons' backs
"This could get dangerous" Astrid said
"What makes you think that?" Hiccup asked
"Oh, I don't know. Islands disappearing mysteriously, dragons fleeing terror, call it a hunch" Astrid said
"Fine" Hiccup said before looking at Fishlegs "Fishlegs, you stay here in case anymore dragons show up"
"Got it. New dragons, Meatlug and I are on the case" Fishlegs said
As fast as they could they arrived to Boar Head Island but it was nowhere in sight just like Tall Tree Island
"Boar Head Island should be down there, it's gone too" Hiccup said
"So, now what?" Astrid said
"We have to go to Thor Rock Island, if we're lucky enough it'll still be there when we arrive" Blake said
When they arrived at Thor Rock Island, they realized that it had sunk just like Sunstone Island, only some parts of the island remained above the sea
"Whoa. Look at what's left of Thor Rock" Astrid said "You know, maybe Fishlegs' wrath of Gods theory isn't so crazy"
"Let's get a closer look, bud" Hiccup said
They quickly landed at the remains of the island and fond a pretty big hole
"Those marks look familiar" Hiccup said before looking at Blake "Do they look familiar for you too?"
"They do… but… they're different" Blake said
"Different how?" Astrid asked
"They're bigger than I remembered them" Blake said
Suddenly, a loud scream was heard and some rock pillars collapsed as the ground shake
"That sounds like-" Astrid began but she got interrupted when a dragon started to come out of the hole… it was the Screaming Death who has doubled or maybe tripled its size
"The Screaming Death!" Hiccup yelled just before the Screaming Death finished getting out of the hole "Someone's been eating their vegetables"
"Maybe too much vegetables" Blake said
"And everything else in sight" Astrid said
Then, it screamed disorienting the dragons
"Its scream disorientates the dragons" Hiccup said
"No kidding" Astrid said
Then, the Screaming Death dug underground
"So, the Screaming Death must be the one destroying the islands" Blake said
"It must be tunneling underneath and causing them to collapse in on themselves" Hiccup said
"But why would it do that?" Astrid asked
"I don't know, let's take a closer look" Hiccup said, so Astrid looked at him "You wanted dangerous"
They flew over a cliff but the Screaming Death flew through it and began to chase Hiccup and Toothless but they stooped and faced it
"Easy, bud. Maybe it just wants to be friends" Hiccup said but the Screaming Death glared at them "Or maybe not!"
Toothless started to fly away as fast as he could but the Screaming Death shot several fire balls, so he flew behind a sea stack but a fire ball destroyed it
Then, Toothless flew through a maze of sea stacks but the Screaming Death just smashed through them. However, Astrid and Blake began to threw some bags of paint at the Screaming Death's eyes
"Hope you like pistachio!" Astrid yelled
"Or do you prefer the purple?!" Blake yelled
The Screaming Death was even angrier than before, so it began to scream disorienting Stormfly and Thunder
"Whoa! Steady, Stormfly, just hang in there" Astrid said
"It's okay, Thunder, just try to keep flying" Blake said
Then, Toothless shot a plasma blast followed by Stormfly and Thunder who shot a stream of fire and a lighting blast respectively, so the Screaming Death flew away
"How's that for accuracy?" Astrid asked
Back at Dragon Island, dragons started to arrive nonstop. Luckily, Hiccup, Astrid and Blake returned
"Periwinkle Blue, there are now Periwinkle Blue marked dragons here" Fishlegs said running towards them
"I know, from Boar Head Island" Hiccup said as he and the others hopped of their dragons
"And look, there's eggshell white" Fishlegs said pointing at some dragons
"From Thor Rock Island" Astrid said
"What happened to them?" Fishelgs asked
"The Screaming Death happened" Blake said
"Huh? The Screaming Death is back?" Fishlegs asked nervously
"I don't think it ever really left" Hiccup said
"Yeah, it got bigger and nastier" Astrid said
"Uh? How much bigger?" Fishlegs asked
"Chump, chump there goes your big island" Astrid said as she dropped some sand between her fingers
"Just at I thought" Hiccup said looking at the map "The Screaming Death is following an imaginary line destroying everything in its path"
Hiccup draw a line through the destroyed islands until it arrived to Dragon Island
"It's coming this way!" Fishlegs said
"And that's not the worst part" Hiccup said as he drew a line that started at Dragon Island and ended at Berk
"It's heading straight to Berk!" Astrid asked
"We have to go back and warn everybody!" Blake said
"No, we make our stand here" Hiccup said "There's no other land between here and Berk"
"But what are we supposed to do? That thing is bigger than before" Blake said
"We're sending for reinforcements" Hiccup said
"Huh, Snotlout and the twins. Oh, I feel so much better" Astrid said as Hiccup wrote a letter and gave it to Sharpshot
"Hey, we're going to need all the help we can get" Hiccup said before Sharpshot flew away
Meanwhile at Berk, Tuffnut was at an abandoned catapult with Barf and Belch who were trying to take a nap
"Hey, you guys. Where is she?" Tuffnut asked looking for Ruff but Barf and Belch just ignored him "I won't tell you tell me, I swear it"
"She's right here" a voice said before some paint dropped but Tuffnut dodged it, turns out Ruffnut was sitting above him with a bucket
Then, Ruffnut jumped and pinned Tuffnut to the ground, so they started to wrestle around the catapult until they saw Sharpshot who was looking at them
"Uh… why is that Terrible Terror staring us down?" Tuffnut asked
"Right, I thought it was just me" Ruffnut said
"It's totally eyeballing us" Tuffnut said
"What does it want?" Ruffnut asked
"Whatever it's selling I'm not buying" Tuffnut said before he and his sister ran down the stairs
"Is it gone?" Ruffnut asked
"I think so" Tuffnut said but when he and Ruffnut peered over the plataform, Sharpshot was still there
"Okay, on three we run… one!" Ruffnut said as she grabbed Tuffnut's hand in order to run away, but Sharpshot was already at the stairs
"Leave us alone you demented little monster!" Tuffnut said as they both ran away with Sharpshot following them
Back at Dragon Island, Hiccup was looking for Snotlout and the twins but he saw nothing
"Hiccup, the yellow marked dragons from Sorrow Island just started showing up!" Fishlegs said as he, Astrid and Blake walked towards Hiccup
"Which means the Screaming Death is only one island away" Astrid said
"Did you see any sign of the reinforcements?" Blake asked
"No, it looks like help is not coming" Hiccup said "Alright, we have to set up a defense here on Dragon Island with what we have"
"Maybe we should fall back and head for home" Astrid suggested
"We can't, if the Screaming Death destroys Dragon Island all of these dragons will overwhelm Berk" Hiccup said
"And the Screaming Death won't be far behind" Fishlegs said
"But how are we supposed to set a good defense before the Screaming Death arrives? What if its already on its way here?" Blake asked just before a scream was heard, meaning that the Screaming Death was close
Hiccup quicky grabbed his shield, ran towards Toothless and get on his back "Toothless and I will and buy us some time, you guys join me when Snotlout and the twins get here" he said
"I'm going with you" Astrid said grabbing her axe
"No, I need you here as a safety net incase it gets pass me" Hiccup said
"So, you're leaving me by myself?" Astrid asked
"Ouch, I'm just going to pretend I didn't hear that" Blake said
"Hello? Men on dragons here, right behind you" Fishlegs said
"You two know what I meant" Astrid said
"We do" Fishlegs said crossing his arms "And I like to go on record and say: we don't appreciate it, do we, girl?"
"Just go" Astrid said annoyed as she looked at Hiccup
Meanwhile at Berk, the twins were trying to escape from Sharpshot by trying to pass themselves as statues, Tuffnut stretched his arms holding a dagger and a shield, Ruffnut was on Tuffnut's shoulders with her arms stretched, a Viking that was passing by looked at them but walked away confused
"Statues, ha, great idea" Tuffnut said
"It's like we aren't even here" Ruffnut said
Then, Snotlout passed near-by and saw them "What are you two muttonheads doing?" he asked
"We're not muttonheads" Tuffnut said
"Yeah, we're statues" Ruffnut said
"I guess we could be muttonhead statues" Tuffnut said before he and Ruffnut opened their mouths with blank expressions
Snotlout facepalmed himself as an answer "No! I mean why are you-" he began
"Shh, it's right behind you" Tuffnut said
"Pretend we're not here" Ruffnut said
"What are you talking about?" Snotlout asked confused before realizing that Sharpshot was standing near-by with a note tied on his leg "Oh, cool, Airmail. Didn't think that'll catch on"
"Airmail?" Tuffnut asked as Snotlout untied the note
"Pfft, stupid name" Ruffnut said
"Pfft, muttonheads" Snotlout said
"No, statues of muttonheads" Tuffnut said as they returned to their posing
Back with Hiccup, he and Toothless were trying to stop the Screaming Death who was getting close to Dragon Island
Toothless shot a plasma blast hitting the Screaming Death on the face making it scream
"We clearly got its attention, bud" Hiccup said "Now let's play a little follow the leader and see if it goes for the shiny shield trick again"
Hiccup used his shield to reflect the sunlight straight on the Screaming Death's eye, so it shot some fireballs and began to chase them
Hiccup and Toothless started to fly away from dragon island making the Screaming Death slam itself against some sea stacks destroying them in the process
"That was easy" Hiccup said when they were far enough of Dragon Island but it didn't take him long to realize that the Screaming Death was on its way back "Guess I spoke too soon"
Then, Toothless flew to catch up with the Screaming Death, so Hiccup tried to use the same trick "Come on, you love shiny things" he said but the Screaming Death ignored him "Or at least you used to"
The Screaming Death slammed them with its tail almost making them fall into the ocean. Luckily, Toothless recovered just in time and continued to chase the Screaming Death
"Okay, so it's bigger and smarter, not the greatest combination" Hiccup said
Meanwhile at Dragon Island, Astrid was using the spyglass trying to look for Snotlout and the twins, but they were nowhere in sight
"Ugh, I knew we couldn't rely on that Terrible Terror Airmail" Astrid said walking towards Fishlegs and Blake
"Actually, we can. Like all dragons, Terrible Terrors are-" Fishlegs began
"Territorial, I know" Astrid said but this seemed to give Fishlegs an idea
"Wait… that's it" Fishlegs said before grabbing Astrid by the shoulders "Astrid, you're a genius. I could kiss you on the lips right now!"
Astrid quickly pushed Fishlegs away "No one is kissing me on the lips ever!" she said
"Yeah… sure" Blake said sarcastically as he rolled his eyes
Then, they saw how Hiccup and Toothless were fighting off the Screaming Death
"Why don't you and Blake help Hiccup, I've got an idea but I'll need some time" Fishlegs said as he ran off
"At lest could you tell us what's your idea?!" Blake asked
"Just trust me" Fishlegs said
Astrid and Blake looked at each other and shrugged before getting on their dragons' backs
Meanwhile with Hiccup, he and Toothless were still fighting the Screaming Death
"We're barely making a dent in that thing" Hiccup said
He looked behind him and realized that the Screaming Death was not too far away but it got hit by a stream of fire followed by a lightning
Confused, the Screaming Death looked around and saw Astrid and Blake on their dragons
"Turn around you overgrown earthworm!" Astrid yelled but this made the Screaming Death shot some fireballs at her and Blake. However, they were able to dodge them
Then, Fishlegs and Meatlug flew pass Hiccup
"Fishlegs, what are you doing?! You need back up!" Hiccup yelled
"Oh, I've got backup" Fishlegs said before showing Hiccup the herd of Gronckles of all the islands previously destroyed behind him "Meatlug, fire!"
Meatlug, along with the other Gronckles started to shot lava blasts at the Screaming Death who tried to fly away but the Gronckles slammed into it
"Uh… what's going on?" Blake asked
"Gronckles are territorial too, they defend their homes at any cost" Hiccup explained "Great idea, Fishlegs!"
"I know, right? Who's the safety net now?" Fishlegs asked
Meatlug and the other Gronckles continued to slam themselves into the Screaming Death, so it dove underground
"You see that? It ran away" Fishlegs said
"Not quite" Hiccup said before the ground started to shake "Astrid, Fishlegs, Blake, get as many wild dragons together as you can, I'll try to force it back up to the surface"
Hiccup and Toothless dived into the hole following the Screaming Death, they flew through the tunnel until they arrived at a caver that was getting full of water
Hiccup tried to look for the Screaming Death but instead he noticed that the ceiling was caving in "It's trying to sink the island from withing!" he said
Then, Toothless roared confusing Hiccup but it didn't take him long to realize that the Screaming Death was in front of them roaring
"Toothless, look out!" Hiccup warned before the Screaming Death shot fireballs at them
They quickly flew away using the same tunnel that they used to enter with the Screaming Death following them and of course, shooting fireballs
Toothless flew as fast as he could but the tunnel caved in on itself blocking the path, but Toothless screamed trying to find another way out and he seemed to find one, so he flew up just before the Screaming Death had the chance to bit them, it hit its head against the wall instead
Hiccup and Toothless quickly exited the cave just to reunite with the twins and Snotlout who finally arrived
"Hey, we got your message" Tuffnut said
"Well, one of us did" Snotlout said just before the Screaming Death popped out of the ground "Whoa! Did that thing get bigger?!"
The Screaming Death prepared itself to attack, but Barf and Belch created a small explosion followed by a blast from Hookfang
Then, Astrid, Fishlegs and Blake returned
"Alright, dragons, let's get territorial" Astrid said leading a heard of Nadders "Stormfly, spine shot!"
Stormfly shot some spikes at the Screaming Death followed by the other Nadders
The next ones to attack were Fishleg and Meatlug with a heard of Gronckles
"Meatlug, dive!" Fishlegs ordered
Meatlug and other Gronckles dived and slammed into the Screaming Death while other Gronckles were shooting lava blasts at it
Finally, Blake and Thunder had a small herd of Zipplebacks
"I hope this works" Blake muttered "Thunder, lightning blast!"
Thunder flew near the Screaming Death and shot some lightning blasts at the Screaming Death followed by the Zipplebacks who let escape some gas all around it before sparking it
Soon enough, all of the dragons started to overwhelm the Screaming Death
"It's working! All the wild dragons are defending their home" Hiccup said
Seeing itself completely outnumbered the Screaming Death didn't have a choice but to fly away
"I don't think the Screaming Death is going to mess with Dragon Island anymore" Astrid said but then the ground started to shake as the island began to sink
"The island's still sinking!" Blake said
Fishlegs looked around the island and saw some water coming out of holes that were made by the Screaming Death
"Lava blast!" he yelled
Everyone seemed confused but Fishlegs leaded the Gronckles, they quickly began to threw up some lava into the holes, so the island stopped shaking and sinking
"What just happened?" Blake asked
"The lava is establishing the island" Hiccup explained as Fishlegs and Meatlug returned "Fishlegs, Meatlug, you two are the heroes today"
"Oh, come on, you're making us blush" Fishlegs said hugging Meatlug who happily licked him
That evening, the teens were outside of the academy talking about what happened earlier
"Everybody saw how the Screaming Death turned tail and ran as soon as Hookfang and I showed up" Snotlout said
"Uh-huh, and all of those wild dragons had nothing to do with it" Astrid said
"Correct" Snotlout said
"Well, I'm just glad that it's gone" Blake said
"Me too, it gives Meatlug gas" Fishlegs said
Then, Astrid noticed Hiccup holding a paper and looking at the ocean
"Hey, did you find out anything else about the Screaming Death?" Astrid asked walking towards him
"The good news: they only hatch once every hundred years or so" Hiccup said
"Well, at least we don't have to worry about the Screaming Death returning with more of its kind" Blake said
"What's the bad news?" Snotlout asked
"Let me guess. What's going to be, the end of the world?" Tuffnut asked with a laugh
"Close" Hiccup said making Tuffnut stop laughing
"I was kidding" he said
"The bad news: it's still out there. And some day it'll be back to Berk" Hiccup said
