The teens were at the academy with Gobber who had a mission for them, so he placed a bunch of dragon traps

Gobber walked towards a trap that looked like a bear trap but bigger, then Gobber accidentally triggered the trap

"Ah! The pain! The horror!" he yelled making the teens look away except for Blake who couldn't help but to laugh a bit with Gobber

"Don't worry guys, he's just playing around" Blake said, it turns out that the trap caught Gobbe's prosthetic

"Blake's right, so don't soil your skivvies" Gobber said as he pulled his hand out, but then he got serious "But these dragon traps are made to withstand even the toughest of… well, dragon"

Then, he showed the teens the other traps "They're nothing to play around with"

"Uh, I beg to differ. That one with the teeth got Tuffnut's name all over it" Tuffnut said

"Exactly what I was thinking" Ruffnut laughed

"You two can feel free to experiment on your own time" Gobber said "Now, who can tell me what this trap is called?"

"Ruffnut-be-gone?" Tuffnut guessed but Ruffnut flicked his ear "Ow! My lobe"

"It's called a snapper" Fishlegs answered

"Potato, potahto" Tuffnut said making Hiccup roll his eyes

"You guys, this is really important, eyes forward" Hiccup said

"Says the one who was messing with the traps once and left me hanging upside down for two hours?" Blake asked making the twins chuckle "But he's right, eyes forward"

"No problemo" Ruffnut said before she and Tuffnut slammed their heads against each other and looked at each other's eyes

"Other traps include ropes, grabbers and netters" Fishlegs said

"Well done, Fishlegs" Gobber said "But remember how to unset them, that's what separates the men from the maimed"

Fishlegs started to walk towards a trap but Meatlug looked worried, so she stopped him

"It's alright, girl. Daddy will be fine" Fishlegs said hugging Meatlug

Then, he and Astrid walked towards a trap, it looked similar like the one that Hiccup with help of Blake made when he shot down Toothless

"For the roper, you press your foot against the activation line" Fishlegs said doing exactly that

"Then, remove the latch key, which takes tension off the trigger" Astrid said removing the key "Then, you cut the rope"

"Someone's been paying attention" Gobber said pleased before walking towards another trap

It was a metal net laying on the ground connected to a catapult by a metal rope

"And what about the notorious net trap?" Gobber asked

Hiccup started to walk towards the trap but Snotlout stopped him "Ah, ah, ah, I got this one" he said walking towards the trap

"Please, be my guest" Hiccup said

"Is it wrong to root for the trap?" Astrid asked

"Eh, let's just call it a teaching moment" Hiccup said

"Oh. It's pretty simple, actually" Snotlout said analyzing the trap "You just detach the ropey chain-looking thing, pull the pointy part back, then-"

Suddenly, the trap spung and caught him, hanging him above the ground

"Hookfang, you going to help me out of here?" Snotlout asked but Hookfang just walked away "Anytime"

"Hiccup, you want to release the beast?" Gobber joked

"Can't we just leave him up there for a while?" Blake asked

Hiccup and Toothless walked towards the trap, when they were close enough, Toothless used his head to lift Hiccup up

"Okay, engage the safety pin" Hiccup said "Dislodge the trigger strut"

Then, the net fell along with Snotlout "Teacher's pet" he muttered annoyed, as Hiccup jumped off

"Toothless, plasma blast" Hiccup ordered pointing at the snapper which was activated and knocked to its side when Toothless shot at it "Good job, bud"

Gobber placed the snapper back to its proper position and opened it

"Ruffnut, Tuffnut, show me how to unset this snapper trap" Gobber said

"Can't. staring contest" Tuffnut said

"Fine, you don't have to get so testy" Ruffnut said

They both walked towards the snapper while they still looked at each other, but when they arrived, they triggered the trap

Everyone looked away as they heard the twin's screams. Luckily, the twins were a few inches smaller than the trap so they were unharmed, only their helmets were thrown off their heads

"Ah, you almost cut my head off!" Tuffnut said glaring at Ruffnut

"That would have been stare-worthy" she said "Aw, next time"

"Alright, listen here" Gobber said walking towards a board with a map of the island with red crosses all over it "You all have your assignments, there are a dozen of dragon traps over from… well, when we killed them"

"So, we have to clear them before someone get's hurt, right?" Blake asked

"Exactly, so get going" Gobber said accidentally knocking the board down

The teens started to leave but Astrid, Hiccup and Blake walked towards the twins

"You guys know what you're doing, right?" Hiccup asked

"What kind of question is that?" Tuffnut asked

"A necessary one" Astrid said

"If you don't know what you're doing you could get yourselves or your dragon hurt" Blake said

"Blake, we have absolutely…" Tuffnut began

"No idea on what we're doing" Ruffnut said before Barf and Belch gave them back their helmets

"You know what? Forget it. You guys stay here where you can't get into trouble" Hiccup said

"Actually, we can get into trouble pretty much everywhere. Remember that empty room?" Tuffnut asked

"He's got a point" Astrid said

"Look, I just don't know if I can trust you guys out there right now" Hiccup said "This is serious"

"Wow, that was harsh" Tuffnut said

"Yeah, ouch" Ruffnut said

"I didn't mean it like that, I just-" Hiccup began

"No, we get it. You think we're useless" Tuffnut interrupted before Barf and Belch lowered their heads, so the twins got on their necks

"I didn't say that" Hiccup said

"But you were thinking it" Astrid said

"That doesn't help, Astrid" Blake said

"We'll be fine, Hiccup. It's not like we never pay attention" Ruffnut said

"Just rarely" Tuffnut said

The twins chuckled as they left on Barf and Belch

"You know, I'm actually going to miss them when they don't come back" Astrid said

Moments later Barf and Blech landed at the forest, so the twins hopped of them

"I don't know about you, but I don't really appreciate Hiccup's negativity when it comes to out Thor-given dragon abilities" Tuffnut said

"Right, I mean, he doesn't know us?" Ruffnut asked

"Yeah" Tuffnut agreed before he and Ruffnut started to look around "Wait, what are we doing again?"

"We're supposed to look for hidden traps" Ruffnut explained

"Hidden traps. Check" Tuffnut said "Okay, where do you think they'd hide?"

They started to look for any dragon trap, but Tuffnut was trying to call it

"Here, trappy, here, little snapper trap" he called

Then, Tuffnut spotted something near a tree, so he walked towards it but then a net sprung, caught him and lifted him above the ground

"Found it!" he said before trying to release himself from the trap "Little help, sis?"

"Nah, you're doing fine" Ruffnut said

Tuffnut continued to try to release himself as he whimpered, that really annoyed Ruffnut

"Okay, okay. Ugh, quit your whimpering" she said before walking away

"What are you doing?" Tuffnut asked

"You say you wanted help, I'm going back to the village to get Hiccup, duh"

"Fine, but don't tell him I got stuck in the trap, we'll never hear the end of it" Tuffnut said

"Yeah, you're right" Ruffnut said "I'll tell him the trap caught in you"

"I like where your head's at" Tuffnut said

Ruffnut started to walk towards Baft and Belch but then she stopped "Whoa, whoa, whoa, we need two riders" she said before looking back at Tuffnut "How am I going to fly Barf and Belch without you?"

"Uh? Duh, hand signals" Tuffnut answered

"Great idea" Ruffnut said before getting on Barf's neck

"Okay, Belch, fly" Tuffnut said giving a hand gesture, so Barf and Belch flew away "Yes, safe your father from the netter trap"

Belch heard that and tried to fly back, so they crashed on the ground and Ruffnut was thrown off

"Whoa, that was quick, where's Hiccup?" Tuffnut asked

"I'll walk back" Ruffnut groaned as she got up "Barf, Belch, keep an eye on Tuffnut"

"Okay, great idea. I'll wait here" Tuffnut said before Barf and Belch looked at him "I'm not helpless, you know?"

Unfortunately, Ruffnut found with two paths, so she closed her eyes and chose a random one not sure if that'll take her back to the village

Meanwhile with Hiccup and Toothless, they were at other part of the forest looking for any traps, they were able to find snapper trap with a fish as bait, so Toothless licked his lips wanting to eat it

"Alright, bud. Blast it" Hiccup ordered

Toothless shot a plasma blast activating the snapper "Good work" Hiccup said rubbing Toothless' head

Suddenly, there was a gust of wind "You felt that, bud?" Hiccup asked before noticing a small fire, he quickly lit it out, but he looked worried

"There's a dry hot wind coming from the north" Hiccup said, then he looked at the ground "It hasn't rained in two months, this is definitely fire weather"

Finally, Hiccup got on Toothless' back "Okay, bud. Let's go back to the village and warn my dad"

Back with Tuffnut, he was talking to Barf while Belch slept

"You know, Barf, I've just realized something" Tuffnut said "We never talk and well, that makes me sad. I mean, I get it, I ride the other head, but it doesn't mean that we can't have lunch or something, you know, got to know each other on a more personal level"

Barf seemed completely uninterested, so he just laid on top of Belch and fell asleep

"Hey, either of you know how to undo this?" Tuffnut asked but Barf and Belch didn't do anything

"Wait a minute, what am I doing" Tuffnut asked to himself "I'm a professional dragon trainer. Barf, Belch"

When they heard their names, Barf and Belch woke up and looked at Tuffnut "Untrap me" he ordered

Barf and Belch looked at each other and began to hit the net with their heads like a punching bag

A few moments later, Hiccup and Toothless landed at the ports, were Stoick and Gobber were

"Dad, I need to talk to you" Hiccup said

"No time to talk, son. Fire weather" Stoick said

Then, Hiccup realized that several Vikings were walking towards the village carrying some buckets of water

"How'd you know that?" Hiccup asked

"Gobber, show him" Stoick ordered, so Gobber grabbed Hiccup's hand and placed it on his chin

"Feel that?" he asked

"Uh… yes" Hiccup said

"It's usually supple, tender, like a new born baby. When it's fire weather, dry as a 50-year-old yak" Gobber said

"Which bring us to you" Stoick said

"It does?" Hiccup asked

"Yes, one errant dragon blast could burn Berk to the ground, so make sure the twins don't do anything stupid out there" Stoick said

Meanwhile, Tuffnut he was still trapped taking with Barf

"So, if I'm reading your silence correctly, you think my sister's so competitive because she's a woman in a man's world" Tuffnut said making Barf growl at him

"I mean, that explains so much, especially her inner rage, and her outer rage… and that all- all rage in her fist and her feet and her navel, now I get why she'd feel trap. I mean, I feel trap"

Once again, Tuffnut tried to release himself again but as expected, it didn't work

"Come on, think" Tuffnut said hitting his face "How's Gobber undo this thing? Come on, come on! You're not useless! You're not useless!"

Tuffnut thought for a moment trying to find a way to free himself, but he came with nothing "Okay, I'm totally useless"

Suddenly, some trees started to snap and fell before a Typhoomerang appeared

"I was wrong, I'm even more useless than I thought! Help!" Tuffnut panicked

Barf and Belch charged at the Typhoomerang but he used his head to bock their path. Then, Barf started to let out some gas but before Belch could lit it, the Typhoomerang knock them down hitting Tuffnut in the prosses

"Hey! I'm not your plaything! I may belch!" he said as he spung around

"Whoa, way more dizzy than usual, I like it" Tuffnut said when he stopped "Why are we getting rid of these traps? They're awesome"

Then, Barf and Belch landed being stunned

"Barf, Belch, it's two against one, come on! Get in there and show him who's boss!" Tuffnut yelled

Barf and Belch started to fly towards the Typhoomerang but they triggered a trap that shot some bolos tying their necks and tails

The Typhoomerang started to approach Tuffnut, so Barf and Belch created a small explosion but the Typhoomerang blocked it with his wing. However, without noticing a small flame flew away and landed on some dry grass

The Typhoomerang didn't attack Tuffnut, he only looked at him

"First of all, there's something you should know: I never lose a staring contest" Tuffnut said before looking in the eyes at the Typhoomerang who blinked a few seconds later "I win"

Then, the Typhoomerang started to look familiar to Tuffnut

"Okay, this is going to sound weird, but… have we met before?" Tuffnut asked, so the Typhoomerang started to low his neck to be face-to-face with him

"You- you look so familiar, wait a minute!" Tuffnut said, making the Typhoomerang stop "Were you ever on Outcast Island, no, no, no, no, that's not it. How about Breakneck Bog? Dragon Island? Dragon Bog? Breakneck Island?"

The Typhoomerang didn't do anything, he just continued to look at him

"Ah, playing it close to the wing, are we?" Tuffnut asked

Then, the Typhoomerang growled at Barf and Belch who were seeing everything

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, they're cool, that's Barf and Belch my completely awesome dragon, I share them with my completely un-awesome sister" Tuffnut said "You can meet her if she hasn't been eaten by a pack of angry boars, torn limb for limb in a frenzy of wild animal rage… sorry, I got lost in the rhapsody of it all"

The Typhoomerang roared at Tuffnut who roared back, so the Typhoomerang roared even louder, they quickly ended in what seemed to be a roaring contest

"That was totally fun, what do you want to do now?" Tuffnut asked

Back at the village, Hiccup was starting to get worried, but Astrid and Blake landed near him

"What are you doing?" Astrid asked

"Did something happen?" Blake asked

"The twins haven't come yet and no one has seen them" Hiccup said before getting on Toothless' back "I knew I shouldn't have sent them out there"

"We're going with you" Astrid said

"No, they're my responsibility, I'll find them" Hiccup said

"Alright, but don't hesitate to call us if you need help" Blake said before Hiccup flew away

Back with Tuffnut, he started to train the Typhoomerang by teaching him some basic commands

"Wing rise" Tuffnut ordered but the Typhoomerang seemed confused "Okay, okay, watch me. Wing rise" Tuffnut rose his arms

This time, the Typhoomerang understood, so he rose his wings

"Whoa, it worked. Wait 'till Hiccup see this" Tuffnut said "Alright, spin"

The Typhoomerang once again seemed confused

"No, no, no, you've got to watch me. Spin" Tuffnut said as he spung around

Then, the Typhoomerang spung around

"Yes, we're totally in sync" Tuffnut said "Are you sure we've never met before? Nah, you just probably have one of those faces"

Meanwhile with Hiccup, he and Toothless were still looking for the twins

"Keep your eyes opened, bud" Hiccup said before noticing a big cloud of smoke "Like I said: Fire weather. Great, just great"

"You know what they say: where there's fire, there's the twins"

Back with Tuffnut, he was still with the Typhoomerang, but then Ruffnut showed up walking backwards, even Barf and Belch seemed confused

When Ruffnut turned around, she saw the Typhoomerang and Tuffnut

"Tuffnut, don't move. There is a massive and I mean massive Typhoomerang standing next to you" Ruffnut whispered

"I know. Why are you whispering?" Tuffnut asked

"Why you aren't whispering, this is serious" Ruffnut said worriedly

"Watch this" Tuffnut said before roaring. Then, the Typhoomerang roared at Ruffnut "Cool, huh?"

"Yeah, awesome" Ruffnut said cleaning the Typhoomerang's saliva off her face "Hey, this'll burn you out, there's an out-of-control fire heading this way"

Tuffnut looked behind him and noticed the fire and the smoke

"Why would that burn me out? I mean, I love out of control" he said

"Okay, see ya" Ruffnut said walking away

"I'm kidding, get me out of here, please" Tuffnut said

Ruffnut stopped and rolled her eyes

Back with Hiccup, he and Toothless were flying above the fire

"Toothless, there" Hiccup said pointing "We'll have to come in low to avoid the fire and… the massive Typhoomerang"

Then, Toothless' prosthetic tail started to burn

"We have to make it to the clearing" Hiccup said

Luckily, Toothless was able to land but he did it so hard that Hiccup got thrown off his back

"Hiccup!" Tuffnut yelled

Then, the Typhoomerang noticed Hiccup and roared at him

"Okay, everyone, stand back, this is bad" Hiccup said as he backed away but then, he seemed to recognize the Typhoomerang "Wait a minute, I know you"

The Typhoomerang walked towards Hiccup and Toothless and covered them with his wings

"Oh man, your new dragon just ate Hiccup" Ruffnut said

"Bad Typhoomerang, you barf Hiccup right now" Tuffnut ordered

The Typhoomerang rose his wings revealing that Hiccup and Toothless were unharmed

Hiccup looked up at the Typhoomerang and rose his arm, the Typhoomerang lowered his head and placed his snout on Hiccup hand. Then, something made click in Hiccup's mind

"This isn't just any Typhoomerang" Hiccup said before looking back at the twins "Ruff, Tuff, don't you recognize this guy? Look at him" the twins didn't say anything, they just looked confused "It's Torch"

"What? No way!" Ruffnut said

"Hiccup, Torch is like, this big" Tuffnut said putting his hands a few inches away from each other "And he calls himself the Dragon Conqueror"

"Uh, no, I don't call myself that and this is Torch" Hiccup said "He just grew. That's what happens when you, well… grow up"

"Uh, nope. I'm drawing a blank here, I don't know anything about that" Tuffnut said

"Yeah, got nothing either" Ruffnut said

Then, Torch hit Toothless with his tail, so when he recovered, Toothless and Torch started to roar at each other

"Come on, guys, you're not going to start this again" Hiccup said stopping them "There's a huge fire coming this way. Ruffnut, get Tuffnut out of the trap"

"Yeah, about that… we've been trying" Ruffnut said

"But someone and I won't mention any names, didn't give clearly instructions" Tuffnut said

"Oh, never mind" Hiccup said before pulling out his dagger in order to release Barf and Belch "Barf, Belch, help me out" he said when he finished

Barf and Belch used their heads to lift Hiccup up, allowing him to reach the trap

"Just leave me, save yourselves" Tuffnut said as Hiccup climbed

"You heard him, let's get out of here!" Ruffnut said as she started to run away

"Again, kidding!" Tuffnut yelled, so Ruffnut stopped

"Yeah, me too" she said

Hiccup tried to free Tuffnut from the trap, but it wasn't working and the fire was getting closer

"It's stuck, we need to get out of here" Hiccup said as he jumped down "The fire is heading straight to Berk" then, Hiccup looked at Torch "Torch, you give us a lift"

Torch lowered himself, allowing everyone to get on his back, then he flew and grabbed the net were Tuffnut was trapped

"This is awesome and scary!" Tuffnut yelled as Torch flew back to the village

"The fire is heading for the logging path, if it jumps over it'll bur Berk before we can do anything" Hiccup said "Okay, Torch, set us down on that path"

Torch, slowly started to fly down in order to land, but this also brought Tuffnut to the fire

"Uh, guys? As awesome as this fire is up close, I think my back hair just went up in flames, and you know how much I love my back hair, and how much of it there is" Tuffnut said

"It's true, he does, almost as much as I like mine" Ruffnut said

"Just hand on, we're going in for a landing" Hiccup said

Before Torch landed, he dropped Tuffnut on the branch of a tree before running up to the fire, so everyone else got off his back

"It's too late!" Hiccup said

"Hey, Torch can help, Torch" Tuffnut said as he spung his hand

Torch started to spin around, but Hiccup stopped him

"Torch! No! don't do that!" he said before looking at Tuffnut "Tuff, we don't need more fire. Especially coming from a Typhoomerang, we need water"

"First of all, you don't fight fire with water" Tuffnut said

"At least we don't" Ruffnut said

"We fight it with fire" Tuffnut said

Hiccup looked confused for a moment until he saw some near-by trees, so he seemed to have an idea

"Ruff, Tuff, that's brilliant" Hiccup said

"Duh, hello?" Ruffnut asked

"We knew that, we knew we were brilliant" Tuffnut said

"Okay, guys, here's the plan: when I give the signal, tell Barf and Belch to start blasting, Toothless and I will do the same" Hiccup said

"Fight fire with fire" Ruffnut cheered before looking at her brother "We should make that a catchphrase"

"Yeah, that or 'a yak's gotta do what a yak's gotta do'" Tuffnut suggested before realizing that everyone was looking at him with confused faces "What? It's catch. Oh, please don't tell me you won't be using that"

Hiccup only shook his head and faced the fire "Ready? Now" he ordered

Then, all of the dragons used their fire on the trees, setting them on fire

"Toothless, wind" Hiccup ordered, so Toothless started to flap his wings

"Barf, Belch, wings" Tuffnut ordered, so Barf and Belch did the same thing as Toothless. Then, Tuffnut looked at Torch "Do you thing, Torch"

Torch joined the other dragons and they started to weak the fire

"Torch, now!" Hiccup ordered making a spin gesture with his hand

Torch flew towards the fire, spun around it creating a cyclone that was able to full snuffle it out

"Nice going, Torch" Hiccup said as Torch landed behind him, then he looked at Toothless "You too, bud"

"And still, no love for the trapped Viking" Tuffnut complained, but Torch rubbed hid head against him "Finally!"

Later that day, Torch took them back to the village, where the other teens saw them coming, so they ran to the plaza

When Torch arrived, he dropped Tuffnut on a house leaving him hanging

"A Typhoomerang" Fishlegs said as Torch landed "Amazing"

"Uh… why does it look so familiar?" Blake asked

"Because he's not any Typhoomerang" Hiccup explained "Take a closer look"

The other teens looked closely at Torch until they seemed to recognize him

"Wait a second… Torch!" Blake said

"No way" Astrid said

"Please tell me he didn't bring the family" Snotlout said nervously

"I find him in the woods, and I trained him" Tuffnut said

"He did actually" Hiccup said

"No way, Tuffnut couldn't even get himself out of the trap" Snotlout said

"Watch this. Torch, wings" Tuffnut ordered

Torch opened his wing, but he accidentally hit Snotlout with them who fell into a cart and went all the way down to the port

Then, a Typhoomerang roar was heard, so Torch nuzzled Tuffnut "Torch, quit it. What's he doing?" he asked

"He's saying good bye, Tuff" Hiccup said

"Oh, I'm going to miss you, Torch" Tuffnut said gently petting Torch's head "You're the only one who ever listened to me"

Then, Tuffnut roared at Torch, so he roared back before flying away leaving a trail of sparks

"Okay, can you guys let me out of this trap or-" Tuffnut asked

"Well, I suppose" Hiccup sighed, he started to walk towards Tuffnut, but Gobber stopped him

"Ah, ah, ah, not so fast, Hiccup" Gobber said before looking at Tuffnut "You got yourself into that, you need to get yourself out"

Later that night at the academy, Ruffnut was trying to get Tuffnut out of the trap

"Wait, I think I got it" Ruffnut said

Then, the net fell to the ground with the twins, who reactivated the trap, so now they both were trapped

"Yeah, you got it" Tuffnut said as Barf and Belch walked away "Hey, what are you doing? Barf? Belch? Anybody? I thought we made some progress out there!"

"Ugh, this is worse than the womb" Ruffnut complained

Yeah, the twins were definitely going to have a pretty rough night
