Amy drove the van, while Jolt and Richard got the melon ready for bait.
At the contest, Alison looked around, and said, "Okay, I know this won't be agreed amongst the others, but it's the only way to bring the beast in here."
Officer Ned was speaking through a mega phone, and telling people where to put their veggies.
Alison then walked towards the officer, until Ebrum came up to her, and said, "Alison."
"Oh, Ebrum, buddy. You doing okay?"
"Yeah, just... did it suffer?"
"No. It didn't," said Alison, Not yet at least.
Alison then headed to Officer Ned, and whispered, "Officer Ned, I need to speak with you for a minute. I don't want to cause any panic, but the beast isn't actually dead yet."
"THE BEAST ISN'T ACTUALLY DEAD YET!?" yelled Ned into the loud speaker.
Alison shushed Ned, but it was too late. Everyone had heard him. Alison facepalmed, as Ned said through the speaker, "Oops."
The very over dramatic vegetable growers then panicked, screaming.
Just then, a noise was heard, and Alison saw the ground starting to part a bit. She took aim, as people all got out of it's way, and stood back. Alison was about to pull the trigger, when a blur came rushing by, and steering the mound away from the festival.
It was the Emsly Van, with Jolt tied to the back, holding his melon.
Alison then took the shot, only to miss. She fired again, and missed once more. She was not used to a moving target.
"Damn it!"
The Were-Rabbit then burst out of the ground, and bounced after the melon, as Jolt said, "THAT'S RIGHT! WE GOT A NICE JUICY MELON HERE FOR YA! COME AND GET IT!"
Alison noticed the golden carrot, and a large elephant gun with fireworks. She then set to work, and loaded up the rifle. She was about to grab the carrot, when Ebrum stopped her and said, "Alison! What are you doing!?"
"It's urgent buddy!" said Ebrum, "I need it!"
"ALISON! WHAT HAS GOTTEN INTO YOU!?"
"ONLY I CAN STOP THAT THING! I CAN SAVE US!"
Daisy was in pursuit of Jolt and the others, until she heard Ebrum struggling. She stopped, and turned around, seeing Ebrum in distress with Alison. Daisy growled, and turned sour.
Jolt then said, "WAIT! DAISY'S STOPPED!"
The van then ran into a tent, and then, Jolt hit the back, smashing his melon.
"Stop it! ALISON! THIS IS MY FAMILY'S LEGACY!" said Ebrum.
"Well, this is the only thing that can kill the Were-Rabbit!" said Alison.
Just then, Alison looked up, and saw the said rabbit staring down at her, angrily. She was then punched, and Ebrum was picked up. The Were-Rabbit then kicked Alison, and held Ebrum close to her.
At a garden shack, the seller put up a sign, and said, "ANGRY MOB SUPPLIES! GET YOUR ANGRY MOB SUPPLIES!"
Soon, the whole town was gaining on Daisy, as she took a massive bounce, and took off towards Ebrum's house.
Jolt got up, and saw the remains of his melon.
"No," said Jolt, "I... I..."
Just then, there was a commotion, and Jolt and Richard looked outside the tent, seeing an angry mob.
"Jolt!" said Richard, "Time to use those upgrades!"
Jolt nodded, and lowered his back, and extended a bit. His wheels then moved to the sides, and became hover pads, as a seat, and handle bars extended from his back.
"Let's do this!" said Richard, as he turned on Jolt like a motorcycle, and took off into the sky!
With the Were-Rabbit, she arrived at Ebrum's house, who said, "LET ME GO, YOU... YOU... YOU GREAT BEAST!"
Daisy then set Ebrum down gently, looking at him.
"What?" asked Ebrum, "What is it that you're looking at?"
Daisy then looked at herself, and did a pose that Ebrum remembered from the first time they met.
"Daisy?"
Jolt and Richard flew in the sky, going the fastest they could.
"Come on! Why did the mayor have to live so far from town?!"
Oh Daisy," said Ebrum hugging Daisy, "What have you done to yourself?"
Daisy looked at Ebrum, who said, "Don't worry, I'll protect you. And love you, no matter what you are."
Just then, the door was heard slamming, and the two saw Alison with a black eye.
"Get your hands off my future husband, you brute!"
Jolt was going the fastest he could, when he said, "HOLD ON!"
He then dove down below some ducks, and dodged cars before heading up to the skies.
"No! Wait! Alison!" said Ebrum, "We've made a mistake! The hunt is off!"
Daisy was munching on some carrots she helped herself to.
"On no!" said Alison, "You ordered me to get rid of the Emsly Rabbit, and I never broke a promise to you Ebrum!"
Ebrum looked at Alison, and said, "Emsly?"
"No, I said, Pestly," said Alison, trying to hide her mistake, "Pestly Rabbit."
"YOU KNEW IT WAS DAISY ALL ALONG!"
"I'VE KNOWN YOU LONGER!" yelled Alison, "AND YET, YOU IGNORED MY FEELINGS FOR YOU FOR YEARS! AND IF I CAN'T HAVE YOU... no one can!"
Alison was about to fire, when she was tackled by Ebrum, who said, "RUN RABBIT! RUN!"
Daisy then bellowed out, and took off, breaking the fence. Alison got up, and hit Ebrum, making him fall back. She then trapped him under some tools, which would take him a while to get off.
"I'm sorry about this," said Alison, "But it's just my job!"
"NO! PLEASE! DON'T! ALISON, STOP!"
Alison saw Daisy running into the distance, back to the festival.
"You can hop, but you can hide!"
Jolt then turned around, and said, "DAISY'S HEADING BACK TO THE FESTIVAL!"
The mob was still heading towards Ebrum's house, and then, the Were-Rabbit jumped right over them all, and back to the festival.
Daisy then jumped up the buildings, and onto the roof tops. She then jumped up on a dome, and looked down. She had no where to go from here. Just then, she heard a chuckle.
Alison appeared from the shadows, saying, "Hello, Emsly!"
Daisy gulped, as Jolt and Richard took off, and dodged many things. However, they missed one, and it hit one of Jolt's hover disks. He then started leaning to one side, and Richard held on tight!
"NO!" cried Richard.
Jolt then saw Daisy, and put all the power into his one hover disk!
"EAT CARROT, BUNNY GIRL!"
Alison then fired, and what happened next, felt like it was slow motion. Jolt picked up more speed he never even knew he had. Richard managed to hold on tight, as they raced past Alison, and then made a quick 180 turn. The Golden Carrot was just inches away from Daisy, as she leaned back the best she could, until Jolt came in front of her, and took the shot to his other thruster!
Daisy then cheered, as Alison said, "NOOOOOOO! DAGG NABBIT!"
Richard and Jolt high fived each other, and then Daisy. Jolt then started to spark a bit, and his hover disk gave in.
"Oh no," said Jolt, as he fell down to the ground. Daisy saw this, and jumped down, and grabbed her family, shielding them from the fall, and landed in a tent, smashing a table.
"YES!" cheered Alison, "NOBODY BEATS ALISON HUNTER!"
"Is that right?" asked Ebrum, appearing behind her, and hitting her on the head with a shovel, "Consider yourself, DUMPED!"
Alison then fell onto the van, and the rabbit suit came out the back. Richard then got an idea. He shoved Alison into the suit, and pushed her out. Alison stumbled a bit, before seeing the mob, and saw that she was in the suit. She took off, as the town's folks chased her out of town.
"Well," said Ebrum, "Let's see how she likes it!"
He closed the tent, and turned to Daisy, who was groaning in pain. Jolt and Richard held her hands, as she took deep breaths.
"No, Daisy," said Richard, "It's gonna be okay! Look at me!"
Daisy then started shutting her eyes, as Richard said, "Don't close those eyes! DON'T YOU DARE CLOSE THEM UP!"
Daisy did, and let out one last sigh.
"You can't!"
Richard held his giant sister, as she slowly transformed back into a human, and still limp.
"Oh Richard," said Ebrum, holding his shoulder, "The rabbit's gone now. She's at peace."
"It's all my fault!" said Richard, "I came up with that damn idea to rehabilitate animals! I should be the one here, not Daisy!"
Jolt took another scan, and said, "I'm sorry."
Richard then sobbed into Daisy's shoulder, holding her tight. Ebrum started crying himself.
Just then, Amy was heard humming, and said, "They have my favorite chocolate fudge ice cream here!"
Jolt then smacked his head, and dragged himself to Amy.
"Jolt?" asked Richard, sniffing.
Jolt took a spoon full of ice cream, and put it in Daisy's mouth. What happened next, shocked everyone: Daisy smacked her lips, humming.
"Daisy!?" exclaimed Richard.
"Richard?" asked Daisy, looking around. She then noticed the full moon, and said, "I... I'm not a giant rabbit!?"
"NO!" cheered Richard.
"YOU'RE YOU!" cheered Jolt.
"JOLT! YOU CLEVER BOT! RICHARD, BIG BRO!"
The three hugged each other, and spun around.
Daisy stopped, and saw Ebrum.
"Ebrum!"
"Daisy! You're, OH!"
Jolt put a large box over Daisy, covering her up, and over the chest area, said, 'Melons'.
"Oh!" said Daisy, getting hold of the box, "Thanks guys."
Richard then saw the dented Golden Carrot, and said, "Jolt, for your bravery, and willingness to sacrifice your prize melon for Daisy, I feel this belongs to you."
Jolt looked at it, and said, "Thank you Sir Ebrum!"
"Oh, please," said Ebrum, "Call me Eddy."
Ebrum then grabbed Daisy, and spun her around, making Daisy drop her box. The two then held hands, and leaned in.
... 1 year later ...
Ebrum and Daisy kissed, and everyone cheered for the newly weds. Ebrum had been welcomed with open arms, and even helped Richard with his machines. His time as Mayor ended a little bit ago, and his last act, was asking Daisy to marry him, which she accepted.
Jolt was driving the limo, and said, "Ready to get going?"
"Yes," said the two.
Richard stood there, smiling to himself.
"My sister's all grown up."
Just then, Susan walked up to Richard, and said, "Hey, Richard. I... never did thank you for helping me with that fence. Would you like too..."
Susan was fiddling with her fingers.
"...maybe, have lunch?"
Richard looked at Susan, and said, "If you'd like to make it a date, then yes."
Daisy and Ebrum were happy with their new life. However, Daisy would sometimes turn into the Were-Rabbit, but it was just one night, on the day she got her brain scrambled. Jolt was rebuilt, and even wrote a book about this incident, as fiction. Alison kept telling people that Daisy was the Were-Rabbit, but that made her end up in the goof house. Richard and Susan were soon in a relationship, and even kissed on their third date. And what of Amy. Well, let's just say, that she is now happy to call Daisy, her mother.
