RAW is WAR: 21/8/2000

RAW is WAR was live at CajunDome in Lafayette, Louisiana. Announcer Jim Ross kicked off RAW without Jerry "The King" Lawler by his side! Even though The King hadn't arrived yet, the show had to go on, and The Rock came to the ring to greet his fans.

With SummerSlam less than a week away, the Great One told Kurt Angle and Triple H that he wanted to take his boot and put it in some very uncomfortable places for them! The Rock went on to say that he wasn't thinking about SummerSlam, he was thinking about revenge, right there and then!

Commissioner Mick Foley came out to address the revenge and hatred situation with The Rock and attempted to cool down the champion. Foley told Rock that he didn't want anything getting out of hand, so instead of letting tempers flare, Foley gave The Rock the night off! Before the Commish could continue, he was interrupted by Kurt Angle and Shane McMahon. Angle said that he knew why Foley was pitting him against Triple H recently - to test his integrity. But Angle said he proved his integrity by bashing The Rock with a steel chair on SmackDown He said that he chose loyalty over selfishness and in the process, gained a friend - Triple H!

Then Triple H came out with his wife Stephanie and said that nothing made someone his friend faster than when they nailed The Rock with a chair!

Hunter said that now with his family problems behind him, he could get back to what was really important - beating The Rock! The Game challenged The Rock to a title match, but Foley reminded him that he had just given Rock the night off. But, the Commish said, Triple H and Angle could build their friendship in a match against the Acolytes! Foley also reminded Shane about his Hardcore match against Champion Steve Blackman. The Commish also reminded Stephanie that she was defending her Women's Title against Lita! Foley said he could tell by Stephanie's eyes that the match would be a brawl, so it needed a special referee - The Rock!

Tazz arrived in the arena and as he was walking to his locker room, several boxes fell on top of him! Then, The King came out from behind and attacked Tazz! Federation officials had to separate the two. Then The King went to the ring to join J.R at the announce table, where J.R. told him that Foley had insisted that Tazz leave the arena.

In a prelude to the TLC match at SummerSlam, the Hardy Boyz faced the Dudley Boyz. Viewers were treated to a special treat as Edge and Christian joined on guest commentary. After discussing how well J.R. knew Edge, the Tag Champs offered some observations, saying that the Dudleys ruled in "stinktitude" and that Edge and Christian were masters of the "con-chair-to".

In the ring, Jeff Hardy missed a Swanton Bomb on D-Von, but then Christian and Edge interfered, nailing Buh Buh with a chair and allowing Jeff to get the pin
In their locker room, Shane, Stephanie, Triple H and Kurt Angle talked about staying together. Then, each person went on to say that their match was more important than the others!

Next up was Kane vs Rikishi.

In the arena, Rikishi's theme plays and out he comes to a pop from the crowd.

"The crowd on their feet for the 420 lbs Rikishi." JR said. "It's going to be Kane vs Rikishi moments from now, but folks, it was announced on HEAT, this Sunday will be the Bladewolf and Kane vs the Undertaker and here's the reason why."

A promo video of the last week, from Bladewolf and Kane Chokeslamming their brother on RAW, to their assault on SmackDown, showed. At SummerSlam, the Bladewolf and Kane will team up to fight their brother in a Two-on-One Handicap match.

Rikishi was in the ring by the time the video package finished, just as fire exploded on the stage and Out of the Fire played, then Kane came out with the Bladewolf at his side.

"We still don't know exactly why except that Kane said they've always been what they are inside... monsters." JR said. "And here comes those monsters, the Big Red Machine and the Demon Wolf."

"I could've told you that, I've been telling you that from day 1, JR." Jerry said.

Kane slides into the ring while Bladewolf remaisn outside, and Kane goes at it with Rikishi.

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

"And here we go, and this is gonna be a fight between Rikishi and the Big Red Machine." JR said. "In six days, the Bladewolf and Kane will get it on with their brother, at SummerSlam."

"Will they Chokeslam the Undertaker through the ring again?" Jerry asked.

Kane takes Rikishi down with a clothesline then gets him into the corner where he unloads on Rikishi with a series of right hands. Kane goes for an Irish whip but Rikishi reverses it. Rikishi runs straight into a big boot by Kane, who then rushes at Rikishi only to be lifted up... AND HIT WITH THE SAMOAN DROP!

"Samoan Drop!" JR said.

Kane looks at Bladewolf, who nods. Kane rolls out the ring and Rikishi follows where they get it on. Rikishi attempts to Irish whip Kane into the steel steps byut Kane reverses and sends Rikishi into the steel steps. Kane then grabs a steel chair.

"Kane's got a chair now." JR said.

"He's a monster." Jerry reminded.

Kane drops the chair to toss Rikishi back into the ring before he picks up the chair and slides into the ring, rears the chair back... AND SMACKS IT OFF RIKISHI'S SKULL!

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

"My God! For the love of God! Did you hear that?!" JR said as Rikishi started getting to his feet. "Rikishi's knocked down, but he's getting back up!"

Bladewolf slides into the ring, chair in hand, before he rears back... AND SMACKS THE CHAIR OFF RIKISHI'S SKULL!

"A second time! This time by the Bladewolf!" JR shouted.

Rikishi slowly moved and stumbled to his feet, turning around... INTO A DOUBLE CHAIR SHOT BY BOITH KANE AND THE BLADEWOLF!

"Stay down, Rikishi!" JR shouted.

Too Cool run down to help, but are intercepted by Right to Censor. However, too Cool fought them off and slide into the ring... BUT GET TAKEN OUT WITH CHAIR SHOTS BY KANE AND THE BLADEWOLF!

Bladewolf and Kane toss their chairs aside, then Kane raises his arms and throws them down, causing fire to explode from his turnbuckles as his theme plays. The brothers then leave the ring and make their way to the back.

"Kane! Bladewolf!" Mick Foley caught up with the two as they were going to leave. "I've been looking for you two."

"Well, we're leaving. Goodbye." Bladewolf said coldly, turning to leave but Foley got in front of them.

"I have something important to discuss with you two." Foley said seriously, causing Bladewolf and Kane to look at each other. "Now, it's disheartening to me that you two would turn on your brother, your own flesh and blood like this. I know your history and betrayal is not uncommon between you three, so let's see if you two will really stick together to take out your brother. At SummerSlam, it's no longer a Two-on-One Handicap match... it's now a Triple Threat match!"

"What?" Bladewolf glares at Foley for this.

Foley nods. "That's not all. Whoever wins by pinning the Undertaker... let's just say they'll be one step closer to being a contender for the WWF Championship. have a nice day."

Foley walks away as Bladewolf and Kane look at each other...

The stage is set for SummerSlam.
