In the streets of Paris...
Adrien slowly walked in the rain towards the school. Even though school was almost over, he wanted to head back anyway. The rain wasn't letting up, but he was glad it wasn't pouring. His hair and clothes were still soaked.
All he could think about was Ladybug's piercing stare when she found out Cat Noir is Adrien Agreste. He'd never seen her so disappointed before, at least not towards him. She's been mad before, but not like this.
He looked up and saw a couple billboards of him in white for a perfume ad.
"A fake..." Adrien thought, Ladybug's voice echoing back at him.
"Adrien?" Plagg said in his jacket, worried for his friend.
His teeth clenched and ran through the storm. People noticed who he was, but he just kept running towards the school.
As he got closer however, he noticed a crowd was forming by the stairs. He looked up at the clock.
School was already over.
"Why is there a crowd at the school?" Adrien thought as he made his way through it.
Not only that, but it was a bunch of students that should've been home by now. His friends in class spotted him and tried to call out to him.
"Dude, Adrien! Are you okay?" Nino called out as he reached out to him.
"I-I'm okay, but what's going on?" Adrien asked him as he tried to see over the crowd.
"It's Ladybug and those heroes in training. They came over to see Principal Damocles. No one really knows why though, but she's about to make an announcement," Nino explained.
Adrien green eyes widened at the news. This had to be about Midoriya. This couldn't be good.
"Sorry Nino, but I have to head inside," Adrien told him.
"Okay, dude. Just be careful," Nino told him, "Ladybug didn't look very happy when she came in."
Adrien flinched at that and walked through the crowd. Chloe spotted him and tried to get his attention. He didn't even notice as he finally made his way out of the crowd. Now in the front, he spotted Ladybug and Class 1-A behind her.
Mr. Aizawa stood beside her, ready to make an announcement. Ladybug looked ready for something and so did everyone else.
"I need everyone to settle down, please!" Ladybug called out.
The crowd quieted down as Ladybug patiently waited for their attention.
"I want everyone to know that Izuku Midoriya, one of the heroes in training, has just been captured by Monarch!" Ladybug called out.
Everyone gasped and so did Adrien. He didn't think she'd start with that right off the bat.
"Ladybug, what're you doing?" Adrien thought.
"So, what? He attacked that Baker Girl. He deserves to be captured," Chloe called out to the crowd.
"Yeah!" Someone responded.
"Everyone! I've talked to Marinette, and she told me he was just helping her up after falling down the stairs! That's all it was!"
"Then why isn't she here to tell us that herself?" Lila asked with a sly smile.
Adrien glared at her, knowing full well what she had just done. He inconspicuously walked into the locker room and quickly transformed into Cat Noir.
"She's not going to get away with this," He mumbled to himself.
Cat Noir exited through the window and climbed to the top of the building.
"Marinette--"
"She is fine!"
The crowd and heroes looked up to see Cat Noir at the top of the school building. He leaped off and landed with his baton.
Ladybug wasn't expecting this. Despite what happened between them, he still came. She felt a smile form on her face, maybe even a slight blush.
"I just ran into her! She was trying to save him because he was Akumatized! And do you know why? It's because he wants to defeat Monarch so badly for everyone in Paris, and he doesn't even live here! It was too much for him, and everyone here thought he hurt Marinette when all he wanted was answers!" Cat Noir called out, standing between Ladybug and the crowd.
The crowd whispered to each other, starting to understand the situation.
"Midoriya and his class have been doing everything they can to help us! If we want to defeat Monarch, we need to start treating them like the heroes they are!"
Ladybug had never been so proud of Cat Noir. He didn't even need to come here, and yet...
"So, it's been decided that Principal Damocles is allowing Class 1-A from U.A. High School Academy to stay here until we defeat Monarch and save their friend, Izuku Midoriya! They'll be training here and help anyone they can around the school! If you still don't trust them, then let them show you that can be again!" Ladybug called out as Cat Noir stood by her side.
Ladybug and Cat Noir smiled at one another, excited to get their friend back.
The crowd cheered for their Parisian heroes, Ladybug feeling just as proud as when they cheered for her when she'd lost the Miraculous.
Mr. Aizawa was surprised he didn't need to say anything, but very proud of Ladybug. And Cat Noir for showing up. A subtle smile formed on his face.
"You two keep surprising me. Good job, Ladybug and Cat Noir," Mr. Aizawa thought.
He looked at his class, and they looked just as determined as ever to get their friend back.
In one of the classrooms...
After the crowd had finally cleared out, Ladybug and Cat Noir led Class 1-A to the empty classroom. There were empty desks and chairs pushed out the side, and a closet full of school supplies and books. There were some cobwebs around the ceiling and dust on the floor.
Luckily, it was bigger than Marinette's bedroom.
"This is the room we'll staying in?" Kirishima asked letting out a sneeze.
"It's so... dusty," Jirou complained as she wiped her finger on a desk.
"I'm gonna go down to that office, break down Owl Brows's door and demand a better room!" Bakugo yelled, but was stopped by Ladybug.
"Hey, at least you've gotta room. This is the best we could do," Ladybug told him off, "Besides, I can't have my..."
She spotted Cat Noir trying to swipe down some cobwebs out of ears reach.
"I can't have everyone in my room. My parents would find out eventually."
Bakugo growled and stomped off towards Kirishima. Ladybug let out a breath she'd been holding for some time. She spotted Uraraka holding the Fox Miraculous in the corner of the room.
She couldn't tell if Uraraka was going to put it on or not.
Ladybug walked up to her and noticed she had something else in her hand. It was the AllMight keychain that Midoriya had on him. Her eyes looked so sad just looking at it.
"Are you okay, Uraraka?" Ladybug asked her.
Uraraka spun around, not noticing Ladybug was behind her. She held the Fox Miraculous and keychain tight.
"Oh, Ladybug... Yeah, I'm okay... Just... Miss him," Uraraka mumbled.
"I'm sure you do. You two are together now, right?" Ladybug asked her.
Uraraka seemed thrown off by that statement. Her rosy cheeks flemished, and she stopped herself from accidentally floating up to the ceiling.
"Uh, oh... yeah. We are. It's just... We just got together, but now..."
Tears almost came out, but she tried to stop them.
"We, haven't even gone on a date yet," Uraraka told her, "And I really wanted to. Especially here."
Ladybug placed a hand on her shoulder for support, giving her a gentle smile.
"We'll get him back, and you'll go on a date with him," Ladybug told her, "I know this great ice cream stand that's perfect for a first date."
"Really? You'd do that for me?" Uraraka asked, surprised.
"Of course, you're my friend. Besides, I can tell Deku likes you a lot. He's lucky to have you."
Surprisingly, Uraraka didn't blush this time around.
"I can't believe I thought Deku liked her," Uraraka thought.
She looked down at the Fox Miraculous, remembering that girl taking Midoriya away from her. This couldn't fall into the wrong hands.
"Here," Uraraka said as she handed her the Miraculous.
Ladybug was actually shocked she'd even hand it to her after what went down awhile ago. She gladly accepted it and put it in her yo-yo.
"Uraraka, I think you deserve to know who helped capture Deku," Ladybug confessed, "It's Lila Rossi, and she's go to school here. With me."
Uraraka looked like she was about to break the keychain in her hand, but Ladybug gently placed her hands over hers to calm her down.
"We'll get him back." Ladybug smiled, letting Uraraka calm down.
"Ladybug," Alya's voice rang out from the open door, "Principal Damocles wanted me to bring this up to you. Wow, this classroom is dirty."
Alya had brought up a bucket on wheels and a mop along with some feather dusters.
"He wanted you to bring it up? Oh please, you just wanted to meet everyone here. Didn't you?" Ladybug teased as she took the cleaning supplies.
"Well, of course. Everyone wants me to interview them," Alya told her as she pulled out her phone, "I've got so many questions from them, and I don't know where to start."
"Well, I don't know if--"
"You with the spiky blond hair," Alya said to Bakugo as she held her phone up to record him, "Do you have time for an interview?"
"The name's Katsuki Bakugo! I don't have time for an interview right now, Mole Face!" Bakugo yelled at her, "Get that damn phone out of my face!"
"Ooh, someone's in an angry mood," Alya said, not scared of him whatsoever.
"Nah, that's just Bakugo," Kirishima told her, "Hi, I'm Eijiro Kirishima. It's nice to meet you."
"Alya Cesaire, I was wondering if could get an interview with you?" She asked him.
Kirishima felt himself blemish from embarrassment, realizing she was recording this.
"We-Well, um... I don't know if we time for this, right Mr. Aizawa?" Kirishima asked his teacher from across the room.
Mr. Aizawa surprisingly didn't seem bothered by this too much.
"It's fine as long as Alya doesn't get in the way of cleaning up," Mr. Aizawa told everyone.
"Awesome!"
"Oh boy..." Ladybug and Cat Noir thought in unison.
In Monarch's lair...
HawkMoth stood by the machine, playing around with some things. The one thing he found out, was these heroes from his Japan call their powers, quirks. He figured Midoriya's quirks were strong, but this is crazy. First off, he wasn't even born with this power. It was given to him by someone.
There is a Stock Piling quirk. And then one called Black Whip.
"That must've been what those black tendrils were," HawkMoth thought, "But, how's he so strong and fast?"
If this stocking pile quirk is what made him stronger, then that meant whoever gave it to him was really strong. Unless there's more to it than that.
HawkMoth tried to look into it even more so, but could hear the chains rattle behind him. He was trying to escape.
"You can shake at them all you want, but you can't break out of them," HawkMoth told him as turned around to face him.
Midoriya was sweating a lot. He had used up a lot of energy trying to break free, but nothing was working. He tried using One for All as best he could.
Nothing. Not even a spark.
"There's nothing you can do, Izuku. Whoever gave you this quirk is now connected to this machine," HawkMoth told him, "You see, since it was never yours to begin with, I can easily drain it from you."
Midoriya's green eyes widened as he tried to fight his way out. He could lift his arms, but just barely.
"Bu-But... That's impossible," Midoriya told him, "Th-This kind of quirk... You can't just take it from me... That's not how it works..."
"Oh?" HawkMoth asked, "Then how does it work, because it looks like I can just take it."
"Li-Like I'd ever tell you..." Midoriya growled through his teeth, "Thi-This quirk doesn't belong to you..."
HawkMoth pressed a button, and Midoriya felt a sudden charge zapping him constantly. He tried to fight a scream, but it felt like sharp pain all over his arms, legs and torso. He even bit his lip to stop himself.
"I'm gonna scream..." Midoriya thought through the pain.
Suddenly, the zapping stopped, and he finally caught his breath. Before he could look up at him though, HawkMoth was already right by his face. He grabbed his hair and looked into his eyes.
"I've got you captured, I've drained your quirk, and now you're going to tell me how it works," HawkMoth threatened.
Midoriya felt so tired that he could pass out right there. But HawkMoth's eyes alone told him to stay awake.
"Al-AllMight..." Midoriya mumbled, "AllMight... gave me the quirk."
"AllMight?" HawkMoth asked as he tightened his grip on his hair, "Who's AllMight?"
"He-He gave me this quirk... He's someone who knows how it works... But... You'll never find him..."
"Why? Because he's from your Japan?"
HawkMoth glared at him for awhile before releasing his grip. Midoriya felt really lightheaded once he let go.
"It doesn't matter any how. I'll keep you here until I find out how I can extract it from you," HawkMoth told him with his back turned, "I've already got most of it. You should be grateful actually. You were trying to stop it from losing control earlier. And now, you don't have to worry about that now."
HawkMoth turned around to see Midoriya lifting his arm at him. His fingers looked like he was trying to flick at him from a distance.
"On-One for All... Full Cowling... Delaware SMASH!"
Suddenly, HawkMoth was sent flying into the window, smacking against it. Hard. Hard enough that it left a crack right where he landed. Once he collapsed onto the floor, his Butterfly Miraculous fell off and it revealed him to be Gabriel Agreste.
Adrien's father.
Natalie entered HawkMoth's lair to find him on the floor. Not only that, but his Miraculous had fallen off.
"Sir, are you okay?" Natalie asked Gabriel as she helped him up.
Gabriel looked ragged and pissed off at Midoriya. His sleeves were riding up, showing off his damaged arm.
And Midoriya noticed it. The Cataclysm.
"Cat Noir..." Midoriya thought in shock, "Adrien... Oh no..."
HawkMoth eyed him once he saw him staring at it and stomped over to the machine.
"Sir, just leave him be!" Natalie cried, clearly worried about Midoriya, "You've done enough to him!"
"Clearly, I have not!" Gabriel yelled at her as he tried to reach for the machine.
Natalie tried to stop him, but her illness got to her. He pressed a button, and Midoriya felt a stronger zapping coursing through him. This time, he let out a blood curdling scream.
It felt much worse this time around. He couldn't ignore it, it just kept coming.
Until, it suddenly just went away in an instant.
Gabriel had stopped it, but not because of anything other than Natalie standing in front of Midoriya.
Protecting him.
Another amazing chapter!
I really like how this chapter turned out, especially with Uraraka and Ladybug. I think that moment between them is pretty good, considering Uraraka could easily keep the Miraculous. Alya might be getting some interviews from the heroes in training, this'll be interesting. And it looks like Midoriya is in trouble, but Natalie stepped in!
More to come soon!
