Chapter 7: Revelations
Ruby watched in piety as Jaune struggled to fight Cardin. It was obvious to her, as the blond boy got his but handed to him by the bully, that Jaune never got any formal training. He struggled to even land a hit on the larger boy.
She watched as Cardin beat Jaune down one last time, causing the match to end and Professor Goodwitch to explain what the two boys could improve on. "He really needs someone to teach him how to fight. One of these days, he is going to get himself killed." Ruby thought
It was the second week of school. Things were going well. JNPR and RWBY were growing as teams as well as sister teams. They spent much of their time together. Ruby and Weiss were getting along a lot better, Weiss having helped Ruby integrate Water Dust into Thorned Rose, though it has only been good at putting out fires.
"Remember everyone!" The professor began to announce, "The Vytal Festival is only a few months away." Ruby looked up in confusion "The, what now?" she mumbled. Goodwitch continued, "It won't be long before students from the other kingdoms start arriving in Vale, so keep practicing! Those who choose to compete in the combat tournament will be representing all of Vale." With that the bell rang.
Ruby turned to ask Pyrrha what that was about, but stopped when she saw the sadness in her eyes, following them to see that Pyrrha was looking at Jaune. "Hmmm…"
"So… There we were… In the middle of the night…" It was lunch and team RWBY and JNPR were in the dining hall eating together. Nora was telling an elaborate story about an adventure she and Ren had gone on. "It was day…" with Ren correcting her.
"We were surrounded by Ursai," Nora continued, "They were Beowolves." corrected Ren. "DOZENS OF THEM!" "Two of'em"
"But they were no match and in the end…" Ruby let the story fade into the background. She was focused on her two friends that were sitting in front of her, Jaune and Pyrrha. The redhead had been looking at Jaune with worry and Ruby could not blame her. Jaune had not eaten much during lunch and was currently pushing his food around with his fork.
Finally, Pyrrha spoke up. "Jaune… Are you okay?" she asked. The sudden questions seemed to snap Jaune out of whatever brooding state he was in. "Uh? Oh, Yeah! Why?" Was his awkward reply.
"Jaune, I am going to be blunt. You are not okay. I have seen enough to know when someone is not." Ruby said with an edge to her voice. By this point everyone at the table was paying attention
"Eh, guys, I'm fine… Seriously, look!" the blond boy laughed nervously, giving a smile so fake that it would not even fool a Crawler. They then heard mocking laughter from a table not too far away. They looked to see team CRDL harassing a faunus girl with bunny ears.
"Jaune, Cardin's been picking on you since the first week of school." Pyrrha said. "Who? Cardin Winchester?" Jaune asked. Ruby rolled her eyes, "Yes. The a** who I mopped the floor with after he made a few comments during our first day of combat class. That Cardin Winchester"
"Nah… He just likes to mess around, you know? Practical jokes." Jaune tried to brush it off, but no one was convinced.
"Jaune, he is a bully!" Ruby deadpanned. "He constantly is knocking your books out of your hand," pointed out Weiss. "He caused your shield to get jammed in the door," added Blake. "He insulted Ruby and the ones who saved her," growled Yang. "He shoved you in a rocket locker and launched it." Noted Nora.
"I didn't land far from the school…" protested Jaune. "Jaune, you know if you ever need help you can just ask… we did not only make that promise to Ruby." Pyrrha replied. "Pyrrha is right. We all are here for eachother." followed up Ren.
"OOH! We'll break his legs!" Nora piped up, an evil grin on her face. "Guys, really, it's fine! Besides, it's not like he's only a jerk to me; he's a jerk to everyone." Jaune stated. Though true, it did not make it any better.
"Ooww, that hurts!" came a loud protest. They all looked back at where team CRDL were and saw that Cardin was gripping one of the ears of the faunus girl. "Please, stop…" the girl protested.
"Atrocious. I can't stand people like him." comments Pyrrha. "He's not the only one." muttered Blake. "It must be hard to be a faunus." commented Yang, "To bad there are not a lot of places like where you grew up, Ruby." She turned to her sister, only to see that she was not there. "Ruby?" They all looked around and soon found Ruby walking over to team CRDL and the faunus, murder in her eyes. "Ah shit, things are about to go downhill fast." was all the two teams could say.
Ruby walked up to the bullies just as Cardin pulled hard on the girl's ear. "I told you it was real!" Cardin said laughing with the others. "What a freak!" Russel replied.
"I suggest you let go, or things are going to get messy quickly." The boys turned around to see a very pissed off Ruby. "And what are you going to do about it crybaby?" Cardin replied mockingly.
"The exact same thing I did to you on the first day of combat class…" Ruby said, eyes narrowing. Cardin let go of the girl, stood up, and turned to face Ruby. "That was just a lucky shot. There is no wa-" he was cut off as Ruby grabbed him by the collar .
The boy was tall, around 6 foot 3 (an estimation based on Jaune's height) and was not used to many people standing as tall as him. Ruby however was the same height (Samus' cannon height without her suit) and was a lot stronger than she looked. So the boy was shocked when Ruby lifted the boy off of the ground.
"Let me make this clear to you. If I see you picking on anyone, human or faunus, I will personally introduce you to hell." Ruby threatened, no hint of mercy in her voice. Cardin gulped, but acted as if he was not about to shit his pants.
"W-What are you, some faunus loving bi-" Once again he did not get the chance to finish what he was saying as he was thrown into a wall. "Not the right answer…" Ruby muttered. She then turned to the rest of team CRDL. "Grab your leader and get out of here before things get worse." She growled. They ran off, Cardin not too far behind.
Sighing, Ruby turned to the girl on the bench who was looking at her with appreciation and a hint of fear. "Are you alright?" Ruby asked the girl.
"Y-Yes, t-thank you. You really should not have done that." said the girl as she nursed her injured ear.
Ruby gave her a look of confusion until she remembered the extreme racism of Remnant. "Yes, I should have." She replied, "Any person who is right in their mind should stand up to a bully, period, and that is exactly what team 'Coward'-inal is. A bunch of cowardly bullies. You really should stand up for yourself. You are an upperclassman after all. " Ruby started raising her voice so that others would hear her advice.
The girl looked down, "I can't though. Due to increasing violence from the White Fang, faunus can't retaliate in any way in fear of being accused of being a member." she said sadly.
Ruby rolled her eyes, "Well, it shouldn't be that way. My name is Ruby Rose by the way." The girl smiled, "Velvet Scarlatina."
The rest of the day was still bitter. Jaune was thoroughly embarrassed in History class when he was called on by Doctor Oobleck after Cardin had flicked something at his head. Things seemed to get worse the following day and into the next week. Jaune seemed to be getting pushed around by team CRDL more and was even going along with it. Ruby had seen behavior like this before, someone doing things for a person they obviously did not want to. Jaune was being blackmailed, with what she did not know. This continued until the first years had a field trip to the Forever Fall Forest.
Teams RWBY, JNPR, CRDL, and a few others were following Professor Goodwitch through a forest whose tree's leaves were the same crimson color as Ruby's clothes and were constantly falling to the ground. Everyone was marveling at the beauty.
"Yes students, the Forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful." the professor began, already sounding like a reprimand. "But we are not here to sight-see. Professor Peaches asked all of you to collect samples from the trees deep inside this forest. And I'm here to make sure that none of you die while doing so." Ruby nearly laughed at that, if anything it was herself that would protect the people her, being the strongest in the school, even if she hid it.
Ruby looked back to see Jaune struggling to keep up as he struggled with a large box and five jars. Ruby saw him accidentally bump into Cardin when the group stopped. "What is in that box? I can't shake the feeling of buzzing hatred coming from it." Ruby thought as she turned back to Prof. Goodwitch.
"Each of you is to gather one jar's worth of red sap." Goodwitch continued, "However, this forest is full of the creatures of Grimm, so be sure to stay by your teammates. We will rendezvous back here at 4:00. Have fun!" With that the teams all broke off. Ruby noticed Jaune get dragged off by Cardin. "That could be problematic."
Time passed, Ruby and her team finished collecting sap and were waiting for the rest of team NPR, however they were having difficulty with Nora constantly chugging the sweet sap. At that moment Adam spoke in Ruby's earpiece. "Lady, it seems that Jaune has gotten into a fight with Cardin. I am also detecting a strange anomaly coming from that area. I would advise getting your's and Jaune's team up there."
Ruby turned to the two teams, "Guys something is going on up there, lets go check it out." and started running to the cliff where Adam said Jaune was. As they ran, having passed the rest of RDL running with their metaphorical tails between tier legs saying something about a massage Ursa. The teams got there to see Jaune block the paw of an "URSA MAJOR!" from mauling Cardin. "Heh, as much of the Chivalrous Knight he looks like." Ruby mused.
Weiss was about to charge in to aid Jaune, however both Ruby and Pyrrha stopped her and the others. "Wait!" said Pyrrha. "Let's see what he can do." agreed Ruby.
They watched as Jaune fought the Ursa. Taking hit after hit, Jaune kept going. It was when he charged in one last time that Ruby noticed Pyrrha rase her hand, a black glow coming from it as well as Jaunes shield as it blocked the Ursa's paw and Jaune cut off the bear's head.
The other's saw this too and Wiess voiced the question on everyone's mind. "How did you…" Pyrrha smiled. "Well, you have your glyphs, Ruby has her speed" she stated "Petal transmutation actually" Ruby corrected. The red head continued, "My semblance is polarity."
Ruby's eyes widened, "Control over magnetic metal! That might explain why few people are able to hit her and how she can retrieve her weapons without touching them."
Pyrrha started to leave explaining that this could be their little secret, however Ruby stopped her. "No, we should stay, there is something else and I don't want Jaune dealing with it alone." the others looked at her in confusion, but stayed with her, hidden in the brush. They watch as Jaune finally stood up the Cardin, telling him off for threatening his team and friends and then sending the larger boy packing.
Once Cardin was gone, Ruby stood up and walked to Jaune, clapping in congratulations. "Great job, Jaune! Not everyone can stand up to their bully and protect them from a threat. That shows character!" Ruby started with a smile as the others follow her out of the brush. "W-What! Y-You guys saw that!" stuttered a startled Jaune.
Pyrrha was about to speak up when the ground began to rumble. Both teams got on their guard. "What is going on!' asked Blake as the ground began to break up under them. They all dove away as the ground exploded when a massive black creature burst out of the ground.
Regaining her bearings, Ruby took her first look at the creature. It rose out of a black pool of ooze. Its body was Grimm black chitunus scales. Long arms with bone white claws pulled the creature out of the ooze so that only where it presumably had legs remained under the substance. It had three holes in its abdomen lined up vertically. It had a lizard-like head with three eyes, the mask white bone mask with red markings signifying it as a Grimm. However, this was a being Ruby knew well. One of the monsters that took over Zebes. This was Kraid, reborn as a Grimm.
Kraid let out a terrible roar and sent a sweeping attack with its arm, aiming for Blake, Pyrrha, and Jaune, the ones that were directly in front of it. Thankfully they got out of the way, but the sheer strength of the monster was shown as it tore up the ground. "What the hell is this thing!" Cried Weiss as she ran behind Kraid, flinging Dust attacks with her glyphs.
Yang came from the other side, launching explosive Fire Dust rounds at Kraid, "I don't know, But we need to take it down!" Unfortunately the attacks from everyone were not effective. Ruby was about to call out the weakness of Kraid, the central eye causing him to roar and launching explosives down his throat when she saw Kraid swing its arm at Yang.
Ruby's eyes dilated, pupils becoming pinpricks. Yang was about to get hurt by a ghost from her past. She would not allow it. Using her semblance, Ruby dashed to Yang, pushing her away and took the full force of the attack, sending her into a boulder, kicking up a dust cloud.
"RUBY!" Everyone cried, as they saw Ruby take the lethal blow. They all started to run towards where she landed, however they were stopped as spikes launched from the holes in Kaid's abdomen forced them to dodge. Things were not looking good. The aura of the teams were running low and Ruby just took a blow that should have mortally wounded her, if not kill her outright.
Yang was taking it the hardest, having fallen to her knees looking towards Ruby in horror. She had only just gotten her sister back a few weeks ago only to lose her again. It was only because she was looking at the dust cloud that she saw a flash of light, but she was pulled away from that when Ren called out a warning to her. She looked up to see Kraid swinging for her again, however the attack never landed as a blast hit the arm and the eye of the monster, causing it to recoil.
That was when everyone heard a sound of something coming online (load save file sound in Super Metroid). They turned to look at where Ruby had landed, just as the dust cloud dissipated. What they saw was something that looks like it came straight out of a Sci-Fi game. Though they did not know it was her, Ruby stood there, fully armored in her power suit, arm cannon smoking.
"You are not taking my family away from me again Kraid," Ruby's voice came from her helmet's speakers to everyone's surprise. The surprise turned to horror as the monstrosity that towered over them spoke back. "SO YOU ARE HERE HUNTER!" Kraid bellowed, "I WILL ENJOY TEARING THEM APART AFTER I DEVOUR YOU!"
(Begin Kraid Boss music)
Ruby charged forward past her friends. She was going to take this thing down here and now and she was not going to lose her friends and family. Ruby jumped, tucking into a Screw Attack as Kraid swung at her, slicing off the appendage. Kraid roared in pain, gripping at the severed limb. Ruby was all out of mercy and she had all of her upgrades. Turning around, Ruby brought her cannon to bear and fired a charged beam right in Kraid's face. Instinctively the behemoth let out another roar. This would be its downfall as Ruby jumped up and unloaded Super missile after Super missile down its gullet. Finally, Kraid gave out, its head exploding with one final missile, the body soon following the head into non-existence, leaving behind the pool of black ooze.
Ruby landed in front of her friends who stared at her in awe. Yang was the first to speak up "Rubes… Is that you?" She said hesitantly. Ruby looked at her sister, "Well, might as well tell them a bit more of the truth," Ruby thought.
A moment later, the power suit disappeared in a flash of light, the particles flowing into the glowing violet markings on her Combat Zero Suit. "Yes, Yang. It's me, perfectly fine and healthy."
Everyone's eyes grew wide as they looked at Ruby, completely unharmed from the hit she took. "H-How!?" Weiss asked in astonishment, "You took a hit that should have shattered your Aura, even if it is as massive as it is."
Ruby's mouth quirked up in amusement. "Weiss, I have taken harder hits than that. Also, are you just going to ignore the fact that I was just in an advanced suit of power armor?"
That was all it took for the wave of questions to hit her. It was only when something started to happen behind her causing everyone to go on guard that the questions stopped. Turning around, Ruby saw an orb floating above the ground. Upon closer inspection, it was not necessarily floating, something semi transparent was holding it. A Chozo ghost.
"I never thought I would see another one of these…" Ruby muttered as she approached the ghost, downing her suit again. "Ruby what are you doing, what is that?!" Yang called to her sister. Ruby turned back slightly, but still walked to the ghost. "A literal ghost of those who saved me aiding me once more," was her only reply.
The two teams watched as Ruby, the most mysterious of all of them, walked to the bird man ghost. By that time, Professor Goodwitch had arrived at the clearing where the battle happened and watched in awe along with the teams.
Ruby reached the Chozo ghost and the giant bird looked down at her. It said nothing, instead offering the orb. Ruby looked at it. The orb had a green hue, and in it Ruby could see the image of a slash. Ruby looked back up at the Chozo nodding in thanks and said {Than you, may the winds of time carry you towards peace.} she said in Chozo, as she took the orb. The ghost only bowed before disappearing once again.
The orb in Ruby's hand dissolved into swirling energy, the energy flowed along her suit, collecting around her arm cannon before seeping into it. A moment passed before Ruby's arm cannon began to shift. The muzzle parted, similarly to how it did for missiles however it only did so in two segments and these segments reached further down the cannon. The two segments then retracted as a blade extended. What had been a deadly beam cannon was now a lethal blade. The moment the changes to the cannon were complete, a tone played in Ruby's helmet signifying an upgrade being acquired and a message popped up on her hud.
New weapon acquired: Power Blade. This blade is a prototype created by the Chozo to mimic the mechashift melee-range weapons of Remnant and plays off of the counter commonly used by Chozo warriors that use arm cannons. It is capable of being augmented by Dust and plasma.
"Well this is useful." mused Ruby as she shifted the blade back and forth with her cannon. She then turned to the others. "What do you guys think," she said as she switched to the blade and back one more time.
"I think… We should speak further about this in the headmaster's office." Goddwitch slowly said as she came out of shock.
Professor Ozpin's office was silent as the two professors and teams JNPR and RWBY were all looking at a certain crimsonette bounty hunter. They had returned from the trip to the Forever Fall Forest 10 minutes ago, not having gotten any answers since the battle. The atmosphere of the room was tense. The professors wanted to know what had attacked the teams. The teams wanted to know just exactly what Ruby was. Thoughts were running rampant in Yang's head in particular. What happened to Ruby? What was her sister still keeping from her? What was so terrible that Ruby had to keep things from her own sister!?
Finally Yang could not take it anymore. "What the hell just f**king happened?!" she exploded. "How the hell did you come out of that attack unscathed, what was that thing, and what was the suit that you had?!"
"Language young lady!" scolded Goodwitch. Ruby on the other hand giggled at her sister's outburst. "It's fine, professor. Honestly, that is a far more calm reaction than I was expecting." She then turned to Ozpin. "Sir, based on the situation, I will be telling everything based on what I feel comfortable saying, whether you approve or not. JNPR and my team deserve that much."
"I understand, Miss Rose." Replied the headmaster. "Besides, It is not my secret to keep or tell. I leave such choices to you, as you are the authority on such matters." This comment shocked the teams. Ruby had more authority in regards to this situation than the headmaster?
Ruby turned back to everyone. "This story begins 10 years ago, the day I disappeared…"
Ruby explained all that had happened to her. Being rescued and raised by the Chozo, an ancient and vastly technologically advanced alien species (leaving out the genetically modified bit), the planet she was raised on being taken over by the Space Pirates, and her short time in the Galactic Federation military. Her return to Zebes the first time to get rid of the Space Pirates only to be shot down, lose her power suit, regain it, and escape. The Metroid Prime and Phazon fiasco with Dark Rose (Dark Samus). The extermination of the Metroids on SR388 and the Baby Metroid. The emotional blow that was the second time Ruby went to Zebes where the Baby sacrificed itself to save her and the planet being blown up soon after. The mission on the BOTTLE SHIP where one of her only friends, General Adam Malcovich, (Blake flinched at the first name) sacrificed himself to save her. However, she skipped over her last two missions, avoiding saying anything about her not being entirely human, hesitating before saying that during an incident, her ship was destroyed. When she got a new one, it was under the condition that she follow the orders of a new AI CO who turned out to be the digitized version of her friend Adam. She stated that soon after she found a PDA that led her to Remnant.
Everyone stared at her in shock, even Goodwitch and Ozpin could not shake the feeling of awe. "Say we believe you. That still does not explain the strange Grimm we fought. It was able to speak and it knew you." asked Weiss. The part about a Grimm speaking drew a few worried looks from the adults.
"That was Kraid, or a Grimmified version of it/him. He was a Space Pirate commander that I have faced on 3 fronts, 4 if you count today. I am not sure how he was a Grimm though." Replied Ruby. She then donned her suit and then took off her helmet. "If you still don't believe me, here is a video of one of our fights."
A holographic screen appeared and began playing Ruby's second fight with Kraid on Zebes. It showed her jumping around, dodging flying spikes and thrown claws before blasting the giant reptile away with Super missiles to the mouth. If there was any more doubt about Ruby's story, it was blown away along with Kraid.
"What other cool stuff do you have to blow things up with!?" asked Nora, back being the resident explosive maniac. Ruby smiled at this. "I have a lot of weapon systems, but they all fall under one of 4 categories; Beams, Missiles, Bombs, and miscellaneous. I can tell you guys more at the dorms."
This time, it was Blake who spoke up. "Is there anything else you are hiding from us? Any more world shattering secrets?" This made Ruby pause, a pause that everyone noticed.
Sighing Ruby said, "How about we make this a time where those who have been keeping secrets can state them, and I don't mean sexual orientation or any of that. I will only share what I am still hiding if I can trust everyone fully, and that means some certain individuals need to spill the beans."
Ruby looked around at everyone. She could tell that there were a few individuals that were nervous about this, Jaune and Blake in particular. Ruby noticed Blake's bow twitch.
Recognising the hesitance and curiosity about what Ruby was still hiding, Ozpin spoke up. "For those who are hiding certain information, you need not worry about reprimand from me. I already know, and I still let you join my school." This caused Jaune and Blake to stiffen, but they soon relaxed.
"So, who is going first?" asked Ruby. To her surprise, it was Ren and Nora that spoke up first. "We… Umm… We don't really… Umm…" Nora tried to start, but was unsure of what to say. Ren came to her rescue and was very blunt with it, "We are orphans, our home was destroyed by a Grimm."
This came with a mix of responses. Some were surprised, some sympathetic. In the end they all gave their condolences. It was Jaune who spoke up next.
"I… umm… may not have gotten into Beacon legitimately…" all of the students looked at Jaune in confusion. "My transcripts are fake. That is why I am not a good fighter. I was never really trained and I faked my way into Beacon." He elaborated.
After a bit of silence, Weiss spoke, "Well that was completely idiotic, stupid, and irresponsible." She reprimanded, "You could have gotten yourself killed!"
"I know, I know," Jaune started to protest but was cut off as Weiss continued. "But that is in the past and we have proof that you deserve to be here. Professor Ozpin still exempted you, even when he knew you were a fake. You lead your team to defeat an ancient Deathstalker and single handedly took down an Ursa Major. You deserve to be here." Weiss, to everyone's surprise, praised, leaving out the fact that he had gotten a little bit of help with the Ursa.
"Weiss is correct, Jaune. You are a great leader, even Adam, my AI and a former military general, says that you are a good team leader." Ruby smiled at the boy who smiled back at the two partners with appreciation.
The room fell silent again as everyone began looking around at each other expectantly. They looked to Ruby who shook her head raising one finger, indicating there was one more person who needed to say something.
Finally someone spoke up. "Umm… I may have a secret that I have been keeping from everyone." They turned to look at Blake who had spoken up. "What is it? You hiding cat ears or something under that bow?" Yang said teasingly, however Blake flinched hard at that accusation. "Oh my Oum… Y-You are, aren't you?" Yang said in an apologetic tone.
Blake only nodded as she undid the bow, revealing two black cat ears, the same color as her hair. The room was silent once more, until Nora exploded. "OH MY GOSH THEY ARE SO CUTE!" the hyperactive girl squealed, only having not tackled Blake because Ren had the presence of mind to hold her back.
Ruby nodded, "You have to admit, they kind of are." she said, earning a glare from the now revealed faunus. Ruby looked at her sister and noticed a slight blush on her face. "Oh, now that is prime ammunition if I have ever seen it." She thought
"That is not the only thing." Everyone looked back at Blake as she continued. "Yes I hid them so that I could be seen as me, Blake, not a Faunus. But there was another reason why I hid them." Blake looked at Weiss, who had been staring at the Faunus and looked like she was getting paler and paler by the second. "I… was trying to hide from my past…" she trailed off.
"You were a member of the White Fang before coming to Beacon weren't you." Finished Ruby. If Weiss could become even more pale, she would have as Blake only nodded. "I'm not part of it any more! I left because I saw the terrible things that we were doing. The things that the people I trusted were doing." She said quickly, looking down in shame.
Everyone was silent as they digested this information. Finally, Weiss said, "Not anymore, right?" She simply asked Blake, eyes locked onto her. "W-What?" was Blake's reply, unsure of what to say.
"You are not a member of the White Fang any more, correct? Weiss said with more force. "N-No, not any more, not aft-" Blake stuttered out before Weiss interjected. "Then leave it at that. Blake, I have gotten to know you for who you are. You are kind, if antisocial, and I only would have a problem with you if you were still in the 'fang. They have made my life a living hell due to them targeting my family, but that does not mean I hate you for being with them, key words, IN THE PAST!" Weiss began to rant.
Before things could escalate further Yang stepped in, "Weiss is right. You don't need to worry. You are part of our team and we will always support you. Me especially, as your partner." Yang hugged Blake, who after a brief moment of shock, hugged back.
Ruby smiled at the scene. She was happy that she had such caring friends. That was when she noticed that everyone was looking at her again. She sighed, "Before I continue, are there any questions?" she asked
Nora spoke up, "Can we meet any aliens?" she asked excitedly, drawing out a groan from Ren. Ruby chuckled at this and smiled, "That is actually kind of what I was hiding. You all have already met an alien. At least, a hybrid."
Everyone looked at her in confusion before it downed on them, some having looks of dread, others amassment. It was Yang who asked, "Do… you mean…?"

AN: Hello everyone!. I am sorry if this feels rushed. Honestly I don't really like the Jaune Bullied arc and did not have very many good ideas for this part. Blake has been revealed and so has Ruby. What could this mean for the timeline? Who knows!

For the weapon upgrade, Power Blade, I got the idea from a comment mentioning an arm blade. Thinking about it, Samus counters by swinging her arm cannon, so why not make it a sword that can be augmented with plasma and Dust?
You may be wondering what it was that Ruby found in the temple still. I know what I am going to do for that, but the time is not right.
The last bit though, what could that mean? Glowing blue liquid? Clawed armored hand? The color white and rose petals? I wonder… (if you can figure it out, please don't hate me! I think it is cool!)

Ok, so we got Weiss being upset at not getting the leadership position then apologizing that night and helping Ruby upgrade thorned Rose, yay! Then we got Cardin being a A**hole as usual then gets his butt handed to him by a plasma sword wielding Ruby, Double yay! and then Ruby exploring the Chozo Ruins and Battling the SA-X(or the RB-X in this case) and discovering something that she can use to protect her teammates. Dang you got a lot done this chapter, looking forward for the next chapter!

good to hear you liked both of my suggestions! i come up with quite a few good ideas from time to time, mostly for my story and crossover story with my friend
as an addition to the Metroid idea though, Atlus found the Chozo Lab containing them about a month or so before Ruby (and the space pirates) even made it to Remnant, though they did not find out about the other "forms" of Metroid's since they didnt let them take too much Energy, oh, and if possible, a select few (not all of them) Metroid's would listen to Ruby, thinking her as their queen, that way they wont have to become almost extinct again, so Ruby wouldnt have to be the sole "Metroid" in existance
speaking of, i wonder when she will tell the truth about her DNA...i mean, based on clues, likely next chapter, but you never know
Well, your guess was correct. I like the idea of her being the Queen of the Metroids. Technically, I am classifying her as a Super Metroid, but it would be interesting to see the Witch Queen of Darkness versus the Warrior Queen of the Metroids.

Oh god the fall of beacon Ruby vs Ridley and the others would ask questions on who he is in volume 6 when they are reunited and Yang would want to tear his head for putting Ruby through the wringer just saying can we have all of team RWBY kill Ridley and they make sure he stays dead by destroying anything that evolves him and killing all of the space pirates making sure they don't hurt anyone ever again and in the fight with Ruby and Ridley the others are seeing Ridley and Ridley does attack them showing he the enemy same with the space pirates and can we have Ruby show her ship to WBY and JPNR.

I can see Ridley attacking early at the festival in the tournament when Team RWBY are facing another team of students and bursts in the arena and roars and Ruby yelling his name out loud and her team hears her and Ruby is yelling loud so everyone can hear what she has to say about him to his face and Ridley taunts Ruby about how he enjoyed killing the Chozo's in front of everyone and that's when Ruby powers up in her power suit and they fight but Ridley runs like the coward he is and then Ruby tells WBY JPNR Ironwood Glynda Qrow Tai Raven and Ozpin on who Ridley is even the space pirates Ruby tells everyone the whole truth.

Can we see Ridley show up in the tournament in Volume 3 he attacks during the 1st rounds and when he sees Ruby he goes angry and a little joy and tells Ruby to her face on how he killed the Chozo and said how he enjoyed their screams of pain and suffering and says this in front of everyone of their fights and their history surprising everyone and Ruby yells his name in rage and puts on her power suit and fights him but he runs away like the coward he is when he's about to lose the fight and then Ruby breaks down in tears and cries and can the baby Metroid show up and it sees Ruby as it's mother and Ruby does take care of it.

Can we have Ridley attack during Round 1 of volume 3 and Ruby yells his name out loud and then powers up in her suit and fights him and Ridley runs away when he is losing and Ruby explains everything to everyone and can an X-Parasite show up and takes Summer's corps from Salem and runs away and it is evolving into a person while hiding in Patch in a cave and when it comes out in volume 6 to help Ruby.
I do not know if the phrase "Great minds think alike" is the case for these 4, or if a few of them are from the same person. Either way, these are some great ideas. I like the idea of there being a Summer-X and bringing back the Baby, however, things would be difficult with the X, it did give me an idea though. The Baby on the other hand is a possibility.

Changed the stats a bit. Ruby can use Energy Drain and Transfer in each suit, however, it becomes more effective, the closer the suit is to being full Metroid. For example the Zero Suit would only be 25% as effective as the Metroid Suit.
