Chapter 11: Black The Beast
The violet biomorph type alien was practically dancing as she fought Blake. The cat Faunus had yet to hit the acrobatic bounty hunter, while she herself had taken a few hits from electric attacks. Shifting Gambol Shroud into chain scythe mode, Blake swung the ballistic blade, managing to hit Gandrayda in the chest. Unfortunately this seemingly does little damage, despite the alien having no Aura or Armor.
"Nice hit there kitty!" quipped Gandrayda as she dodged another swipe from Blake, "But how are you going to deal with this?" Her body then began to convulse and warp, taking on the form of an Ursa Major.
Seeing the hulking beast, Blake's eyes widened. The Ursa charged, attempting to maul Blake. Seeing this, the cat Faunus used her semblance to dodge out of the way, leaving a shadow of herself for the bear-like Grimm/alien to slash. Blake shifted Gambol Shroud into pistol form and shot the feet of Ursa-G with Ice Dust Rounds, freezing them in place.
Finding that she could not move and not wanting to stay vulnerable for too long, Gandrayda morphed back into her normal form and jumped out of the way of another Dust Round.
It was a process of rinse and repeat. Blake would get a few hits in every now and then, but Gandrayda would shift into another beast. Sometimes they were monsters Blake was familiar with. A Beowulf Alpha, a Boarbatusk, a Creep, these were a few monsters that Gandrayda turned into.
Others she knew were not from Remnant, such as the insectoid Space Pirate Foot soldier, or the buzzing swarmbot. These ones were harder to fight and Blake was only able to evade most of them until Gandrayda got bored and turned into something else.
Blake was having a hard time keeping up. She may be fast herself, but she was used to fast sneak attacks, ambushes, and stealth missions, not a prolonged battle such as this. Things only got worse when Gandrayda took on a form that was not Grimm, alien, or robot. She took on the form of a certain red haired, bull horned, Faunus.
Blake was frozen the moment she saw the Adam look-alike. "Ooh, looks like this one holds some power to it." Adam-G said, the voice of Gandrayda overlapping with Adam's. "What's wrong Blakey, it looks like you've seen a ghost!" Adam-G then gripped their sword, preparing to attack.
(Start: 'From Shadows')
"Why… Why him… I left the White Fang to not only get away from the killing, but to get away from him… Why is he following me-" Blake snapped out of her thoughts as she dodged a slash from Adam-G. "Why can't I escape him… he is not who I thought he was…"
"Come on Kitty Cat, are you going just let some nobody asshole make you freeze up like this," taunted Adam-G taking another swipe at Blake. In all honesty Gandrayda was annoyed by the fact that Blake froze up after seeing her former lover. She would need to get past that if she was going to help Ruby.
"I'm I always going to just keep running away? I ran from the 'Fang, I ran from Adam, is running all I am good for?" Blake thought. Blake had finally found people who accepted her for who she was. They did not try to use her, in fact they wanted to help her find the truth, they cared for her. The thought of blond hair crosses her mind for a moment. "No, I need to stop running. If I do, I will only hurt the ones I now care about." With that thought, Blake suddenly charged forward with a burst of speed, using her semblance to avoid hits from Adam-G.
〜Born with, no life
Into subjugation
Treated, like a, worthless animal!〜
Blake took the cleaver sheath off her back, and dual wielding both blades, began slashing at Adam-G in quick succession. Adam-G was able to block most of the hits, but a few landed and were able to deal more damage than previous attacks.

Just a lesser being
Crushed by, cruel, ruthless human rule!〜
"My friends accepted me as a Faunus, a Schnee accepted me as a Faunus and is still friends with me!" Blake kicked Adam-G hard in the chest, forcing Gandrayda to revert to her base form.
〜When it started…
All we wanted was to live our lives〜
"I will stay by their sides, no more running away!" Gandrayda launched another electric attack before shifting into another familiar sight. The Spider Droid that Adam and Blake had fought when they had attacked the SDC train. The same bot that she used as a distraction to leave Adam.
〜Now in darkness
Taking anything we want and we will rise〜
Gandrayda looked at Blake as she fired the Spider Droid's cannons and smiled to herself. The cat girl seemed to have worked out an internal struggle, if at least a little bit. The smile grew when she saw the black, almost violet, glow come from an object hanging around Blake's neck.
〜We'll Rise〜
Blake ran forward, the glow going unnoticed. She shifted Gambol Shroud into chain scythe mode and swung, slashing the giant robot as she strafed it. She knew what this thing could do, the blast from a giant laser still fresh as if it was yesterday.
〜WE'LL RISE〜
Blake pulled Gambol Shroud back and reverted it to katana form. She then changed direction to avoid a blast, heading straight for the Spider Droid when she was engulfed by the shadowy light.

Take back what you stole〜
Blake was still running when the light faded to reveal her in her own power suit. The suit had added extensions on the helmet to fit her ears and followed her color scheme. Her cleaver and katana also looked different, the edge of the blades now glowing with a faint green hue.

Blake ignored the popup and dashing to one of the legs, she sliced clean through the metal, causing the bot to lose balance for a moment before compensating with its other legs.
〜From shadows, we'll reclame our destiny
Set our future free〜
Blake slid under the alien turned robot, passing through its shadow. To her surprise, instead of ending up on the robot and needing to run to her next target, she appeared there after a very short moment of darkness. Not wanting to lose her chance, she sliced off one of the cannons as she saw another popup.

We will rise…〜
Using her new ability and weapon upgrades, Blake shredded the armor of the Spider Bot, every now and then disappearing into shadows to appear near a new target. She quickly learned that she could not use this ability too often, three times in a row being the max she could use it before needing to wait for whatever powered that ability to recharge.
Shifting back to using her chain scythe, she found that the ribbon had been replaced by a cord of plasma, much like Ruby's plasma whip. She lashed out with the weapon, entangling one leg, before pulling said leg out from under the Spider Bot, making it fall.

When the spider bot hit the ground, it reformed as Gandrayda who held herself up on her hands, breathing hard. After a moment the alien began to laugh. Blake was confused until Gandrayda stood up and started clapping.
"That was amazing Blakey, at first you could barely fight against me and now you took me down like it was nothing!" The alien said in an excited voice. "Congratulations on passing the test!"
Blake smiled behind her new helmet. "Thank you, Gandrayda." She replied, not really sure of what to say.
"Before you go, I have some advice for you." Gandrayda said, seeming to sober up from the laughing fit she had. "Don't blame yourself for what the White Fang does. You may find things that you will not be happy about, but no matter what, don't let it drag you down. You will need to let go of the past before you can truly free your future."
With those final words, the area fades away by a blinding light.
{Within the shadows, the lost beast finds a spark of hope. A blizzard now approaches as it threatens to freeze the wings.}
A/N: New chapter, new suit! I hope you guys like the unique abilities each person is getting. I have been working on them for a while, trying to come up with abilities that fit with each character.
Someone commented something about X infected Grimm…0_0… I will admit that it is a cool idea… but 1. I would rather not have that nightmare fuel, 2. I already have it where the X are extinct and not coming back.

Blake Belladonna (RWBY)
Base Stats:
Race: Faunus
Aura Points (Ap): 700
Semblance: Shadow - The user can produce shadow clones that help her redirect her movements and avoid getting hit. These clones can also take on elemental traits from Dust.
Racial Traits:
Black Cat Faunus Heritage: Faunus racial trait - This individual has heightened senses, particularly hearing, sight, and smell. The individual has black cat ears.
Dark/Night Vision: The user is able to see in the dark
Weapon (Gambol Shroud [Variant Ballistic Chain Scythe]):
Plasma Edge: The edge of the blade can be coated in plasma
Plasma Bolt: A lethal attack similar to the Plasma Beam. While weaker than its beam counterpart, it is still powerful enough to kill an Alpha Beowulf with one shot to the head.
Variant Plasma Whip: Interchangeable with ribbon, connects to a moduel on wrist when used in this way. A whip of plasma. Behaves like a normal whip in addition to being able to inflict more damage.
Dust rounds: Ballistic rounds made using Dust. Effect changes based on Dust used.
Black Beast (Remnant Power Suit)
Description: A less armored version of the basic power suit without the arm cannon, built using equipment found in a Chozo temple. Is able to crawl. Can be summoned using an amulet in the shape of Blake's emblem. Has Blake's color scheme and extensions on the helmet for her ears.
Primary Defense Method: Energy Shield 700
Secondary Defense Method: Ap 700
Abilities:
Pulse Radar: Aeion Ability - A radar pulse that allows the user to see things that they normally would not be able to, along with detecting enemies. Uses all Anion per use.
Shadow Warp: Aeion Ability - Short ranged teleportation. When in light, user can warp up to 10 meters to a point that the user can see. When in shadow can warp to any shadow that is in line of sight (Range 30 meters). Can perform 3 warps in a row before depleting Aeion.
Aura Energy: The user's Aura affects the suits Energy shields. The maximum capacity of Energy is equal to the max Aura capacity. This can not be changed with Energy tanks. A decrease in Energy does not affect Aura and vice versa.
Suit Upgrades:
Varia Suit Module: increases defense and protects user from high temperature environments.
Gravity Suit Module: increases defense, protects user from low temperature environments, prevents freezing, allows user to move in lava and water with no ill side effects.
Strength: More agile than the original and can crawl
Weakness: Does not and can not have all of the upgrades of the original suit.
