Chapter 12: White Is Cold
Weiss charged at Rundas, intent on impaling him right off the get go, and as you could probably guess, it did not work. Rundas simply side stepped, before blasting her with ice. "You are going to need to do better than that, kid." He said.
Rundas then slammed a… fist? Arm? Into the ground, causing pillars of ice to spring up. "Let's see how you do with this, princess!" With that, he leapt into the air and began surfing on ice.
Weiss immediately switched to Fire Dust and began to cast glyphs to attack at range. Unfortunately for Weiss, in her fit of outrage, she missed every shot. Weiss shifts her position to try and launch herself at Rundas, but is instead forced to jump out of the way of Ice Missiles shot at her by Rundas.
"Come on, really? Standing in one place? Even a novice hunter knows not to do that." Rundas taunted again as he fired another Ice Missile.
Weiss slashes the air, sending out a wave of fire that destroys the missile. She then switches to Gravity Dust and launches herself into the air, landing on one of the ice pillars. Turning to where she could see Rundas sliding through the air on ice, She starts firing off attacks, switching between Fire, Lightning, and Earth, excluding Ice as that seemed to be under Rundas's control.
Rundas slid close to Weiss in an attempt to get a point blank shot with an ice attack, but was hit off of the ice by Weiss lunging right at him, slashing at his Ice Armor. The rapier skittered across the armor, not doing any damage, but now Weiss knew that the ice armor was there and could act accordingly.
Changing to Fire Dust, Weiss proceeded to try to slice the armor off, succeeding in dealing a bit of damage. "Heh, maybe you do have some skill. Or was that just luck?" Rundas said. "Honestly though, it's nothing compared to me, much less Rose. You are weak, kid, just admit it."
"Shut up!" Screamed Weiss as she charged in again, only to be knocked back by an ice blast.
"What even makes you think you could ever be a warrior, huh? You are just a scared little girl running away from dear old dad. You want a respectable warrior? You should look at your sister. Her name is Winter right? Now she is someone I can respect, always reliable." Rundas was not holding back on the verbal slander. He had always been known to be arrogant, having very little respect for those who did not prove themselves. Though he respected the other hunters that got corrupted alongside him, there had only been one person that truly he held with the utmost respect.
The words struck Weiss harder than a charging Goliath. "Wha… You…" She was at a loss for words.
(Start: 'Mirror Mirror')
"You really are a failure, you will always be in your fathers shadow." That was the final blow. Weiss, was tuff. She may look weak and fragile, but like any other huntress or huntsman she could take a hit. However, Weiss had problems with her own self worth and those final words that she finally caved in and just stood there.

It was during one of her birthdays that her father revealed that he had only married her mother for the Schnee name and to take over the SDC. She had dedicated herself to learning to be a huntress, not only to be like her sister, but also to get away from her father.

She knows how awful her father can be. The conditions he puts Faunus in along with little to no pay, the things he has done to silence competition… Those, along with many other grievances are why the White Fang targets her family. This only made things worse.

With each attack, her father would come home incredibly angry. He would lash out at her family, oftentimes turning them against each other. Her relationship with her own brother was that of hatred, her mother was a drunk, her sister was the only person from her family that she was on good terms with. It was actually because of this that she was so cold towards others.

"Am I really trapped by my father?" Weiss wondered. "Am I that influenced by him? Why? He has brought shame to the Schnee family, shame to my grandfather. Will I always just be seen as the daughter of the biggest bigot on Remnant?... No, I may be related to him, but he is no father, we may not have known each other very long but I have a family here at Beacon now, one that does not care that I am a Schnee or that Blake is a former 'Fang member. Ruby trusted us, trusted me enough to tell her secret and give us pieces of the ones who raised her. I can rely on them, so I must do all I can so that they can rely on me!"
Those thoughts passed through Weiss's mind as she stood there, completely vulnerable. Rundas sighed in disappointment, and here he had actually hoped that this girl could have amounted to something, guess he was wrong. He aimed his weapon at Weiss, not noticing the white light that started to glow on her chest, and fired one last Ice Missile. However, the missile never hit its target as it was sliced in two.
"I may be the daughter of that ingrate, but that does not define me." Weiss said as she had her eyes closed, her sword at her side after slicing clean through the missile. "I define who I am and no one else. I will push past my limits and become a better person than my father. I don't care what you think. I AM MY OWN PERSON!" And like that, she, just like the others, was engulfed in bright light, emerging in her own white R.P.S.

Weiss was surprised by what she saw on her HUD, Screw Attack? Wasn't that the spinning attack the Ruby could do? That could be investigated further later. Right now she had a walking icicle to vaporize. Shifting again to Fire Dust as that seemed to be the most effective against the icy foe, she used a glyph to charge forward. She took note that not only did her sword start to glow red from the dust, but it was also glowing plasmatic green.
〜Save me from the things I've seen!〜
Weiss collided with Rundas who defended himself with his armored arms. Maintaining her momentum, she slid past the alien, making a few more slashes on his back as she passed. She then used a glyph to redirect herself back to Rundas. This time the alien dodged out of the way and released an icy blast, which directly hit Weiss, encasing her in ice.
〜I can keep it from the world〜
Weiss couldn't move, but that was not going to stop her. She tightened her grip on Myrtenaster and suddenly felt a pulse of energy flow through the suit. The ice began to melt, and soon she was completely free. She then noticed that the accents of the armor was glowing red, the color of the Fire Dust she was using , and was giving off a slight fire effect.
Elemental Fury: Activated
〜Why won't you let me hide from me?〜
Now free from the ice, Weiss, charged. She was not sure what she was doing, but from the looks of one of the indicators on her HUD, it was draining something and would not last for long. She slashed at Rundas, who avoided by sliding on ice. She needed to slow him down, get him to stop moving so that she could get a clean hit.
〜Mirror, mirror, tell me something〜
Thinking back, she remembered when she had to fight another heavily armored opponent, the Arma Gigas. She had used Glyphs to hold it in place. Intent on doing the same thing, she placed a Glyph in front of Rundas, causing him to run into it and get knocked off. As he was falling, she cast the binding Glyphs, causing him to be stuck, suspended in the air.
〜Who's the loneliest of all?〜
Weiss then launched herself into the air using a Glyph, charging up Fire Dust energy in her sword, before using another to send her at Rundas, hitting him with one final slash, breaking his Ice Armor.

Weiss stood up from the crouch that she had landed in and turned to face Rundas who was badly injured and in a kneeling position, unable to rise all the way. "Heh, I guess I was wrong about you Weiss Schnee. You pushed your limits and 'defeated me' " The Phrygisian said, with a pained chuckle, though there was a tone of knowing in the last sentence. "You have gained a respect that only one other person has attained."
Weiss raised an eyebrow at this, "And who would that be?"
"Your partner and team leader, Ruby Rose of course!" Rundas replied. He then looked down. "Before we part ways, I have one request. Please… stay by Ruby's side. She may have told you of her adventures, but she has lost a lot of people. She needs you to be there for her."
He then looked up, "Besides, I don't think that would be too hard for you seeing as you two seem to be pretty close〜" If he had a face, there would be one heck of a shit eating grin.
It took Weiss a moment to process what he said. When she finally did, her face turned bright red, hidden by her helmet. "W wha, I don't know what you are talking about!" she denied.
Rundas chuckled again, shaking his head, "Heh, I'm one to talk. Felt the same way when I was alive." Rundas said, shocking Weiss. "Never did get around to telling her, though it probably would not have worked out. Mind you I did not know she was so young. Honestly you could almost mistake her as an adult back then, never being seen out of her suit along with being deathly serious during missions."
"Either way, please, make sure you are there for her. She has been through a lot" He finished.
Weiss just stared at Rundas for a moment before nodding. "I will Rundas. Thank you for the advice. May you rest in peace." With that Weiss was once again engulfed in light before disappearing.
"Should I have told her that I now count as a 'fallen foe' in regards to her semblance? Eh, she will find out eventually." With that Rundas fell to the ground and disappeared into particles of light.
{The blizzard has passed, having formed into a storm of all elements. Left standing in its wake are four trees ever standing and evergreen. One tree having protected the others from the onslaught.}
A/N: Hey everyone! I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. I am sorry if the three trials of WBY were kind of repetitive. I kind of lost motivation and ideas for how each would go.
If you are wondering about why Rundas has feelings for Ruby, I looked up information about each of the hunters and I found in Rundas's personality: "he was shown to have a sense of camaraderie, particularly toward Samus Aran." I know that this is not a lot of evidence, but this is my AU and I thought it would be a good idea.
The idea for the unique Aeion ability for Weiss, 'Elemental Fury' was originally 'Blizzard Fury' but I thought that, due to Weiss using all types of Dust, she should have something to work in tandem with it. Read the description for further information.

Weiss Schnee (RWBY)
Base Stats:
Race: Human
Aura Points (Ap): 750
Semblance: Glyphs - The hereditary power of the Schnee line. The user has the ability to summon a variety of glyphs that have different effects and can be altered and boosted with Dust.
Racial Traits: N/A
Weapon (Myrtenaster [Multi Action Dust Rapier]):
Plasma Edge: The edge of the blade can be coated in plasma
Screw Attack (Can only be used when the weapon is in hand): Activated when spin jumping. Covers the user in a potentially deadly aura of plasma, capable of killing most enemies instantly, however, can not be used on the ground as the effect deactivates upon ground contact. Can be toned down to not kill.
Dust augmentation: This weapon is able to augment its attacks with Dust.
Dust Casting: Can be used as a focus in conjunction with the user's semblance to cast many attacks using Dust.
Cold White (Remnant Power Suit)
Description: A less armored version of the basic power suit without the arm cannon, built using equipment found in a Chozo temple. Is able to crawl. Can be summoned using an amulet in the shape of Weiss's emblem. Has Weiss's color scheme.
Primary Defense Method: Energy Shield 750
Secondary Defense Method: Ap 750
Abilities:
Pulse Radar: Aeion Ability - A radar pulse that allows the user to see things that they normally would not be able to, along with detecting enemies. Uses all Anion per use.
Elemental Fury: Aeion Ability - All attacks gain the attribute corresponding to the Dust Element currently in use and while this is active, the user can not switch to a different type. The effects can vary but with all elements, the suit is imbued with the element selected, often gaining immunity to damage from certain elements along with weaknesses. This also boosts the effects of Dust. If the user takes damage of a type that the current element is weak to, Aeion will decrease. While active, Aeion will be drained passively. If Aeion runs out and this ability is still active, it will draw on Energy or Aura.
Aura Energy: The user's Aura affects the suits Energy shields. The maximum capacity of Energy is equal to the max Aura capacity. This can not be changed with Energy tanks. A decrease in Energy does not affect Aura and vice versa.
Suit Upgrades:
Varia Suit Module: increases defense and protects user from high temperature environments.
Gravity Suit Module: increases defense, protects user from low temperature environments, prevents freezing, allows user to move in lava and water with no ill side effects.
Strength: More agile than the original and can crawl.
Weakness: Does not and can not have all of the upgrades of the original suit.
