Day 20

You Have Done That Yourself

Men: Joe, Killua, Kirito, Kyon

Women: Alice, Haruhi, Konata, Jasmine, Michiru

Haruhi and Konata give Alice high fives as they arrive back to camp. Jasmine is in tears, and Michiru looks disappointed.

"Alice played us," Michiru says. "She absolutely, absolutely played us. That's on us. We should have seen it coming and voted for her. Then we could have at least picked rocks, because Alice couldn't have voted twice. But instead we see Misty go home, and now our alliance is on life support. I'm not going to accept my fate, though. I'm going to keep fighting."

"We did it, we did it!" Konata exclaims. "We beat the JAM alliance!"

"I know!" Haruhi says. "We got them down to two! Now we can pick them off one by one!"

"Let's not get too excited," Alice tells the other two. "I know we're in control now, but they could always pull off a miracle with an idol or something."

"Forget about it!" Haruhi says. "We're gonna party!"

"We are in perfect position to win!" Haruhi says. "We outsmarted the JAM alliance and now have them on the ropes. Now it's smooth sailing for Konata and myself! We pick off Michiru and Jasmine, then we turn on Alice! It's easy as pie… cherry pie!"

"This thing isn't over yet," Alice says. "I realize that we had a big victory, but now I'm in my own self-survival mode. Why would I take Haruhi and Konata both and allow them to vote me out once we're down to three? Or why would I flip to the JAM alliance only to enable them to vote me out once I've jettisoned Haruhi or Konata? I've got to maneuver my way through this, and luckily, I have someone to strategize with."

That morning, she goes to talk with Killua before everyone else gets up, as usual.

"I have something to talk to you about," Alice says.

"You want more Tokens from me?" Killua responds. "Sorry, but I'm all out."

"No, no, no," Alice says. "I just want your advice."

"On what?"

"On my situation," Alice says. "As you can see, I'm split between two alliances."

"You are?"

Alice hits Killua on the forehead. "Of course I am! No matter which way the vote goes, I'm going to be the odd one out once we're down to four."

"I see," Killua says. "Well, I can tell you what not to do."

"And what's that?"

"Quit."

Alice shakes her head. "Any smarter advice to give me?"

Killua laughs. "I'd suggest you stick with your alliance for this vote," he says. "Then, flip to the other alliance and make it 2-2. At least you have a shot at rocks then."

"I don't know. If I vote out Jasmine, why in the world would Michiru want to work with me?"

"Cause she'd have nobody else. She will be in the same situation as you."

"I guess you're right."

"Of course I'm right. Now, no more begging for Tokens."

"Alice is starting to get on my nerves," Killua says. "But then again, she is an Albino like myself, and I've got to look out for my fellow Albino."

Meanwhile, Joe and Kirito start to question whether they want to stay with Killua's leadership.

"Killua is running this show, you know," Joe says. "And my wife Giselle would never be okay with me just going along with him until he votes me out."

"But we've got the numbers," Kirito says. "I see what you mean, but I say we stay with him for one more vote. We vote out Kyon, then we turn on Killua."

"But what if Killua's bought himself some sort of an advantage by then?"

"Then we'll just have to prevent him from getting his hands on Fire Tokens," Kirito says. "If that means throwing the challenge, so be it, Jedi."

"Joe is starting to worry me," Kirito says. "If I didn't know any better, he may be trying to join forces with Kyon to get Killua out… or worse, get me out. I've got to make sure everything is squared with Killua before we take the chance of getting more Fire Tokens into the game."

Killua meets up with his alliance later in the morning.

"Okay, here's how it's going," he says. "Kyon, we figure, has an advantage of some sort."

"Right," Joe says. "He's gotten enough Tokens that he's probably bought one."

"So, the goal is to get enough Tokens to balance that out," Kirito says.

"Right," Killua says. "So, if we win the challenge, we get three Tokens, he gets one."

"Is that one enough to allow him to pull the trigger on a challenge such as Safety Without Power?" Kirito asks.

"Maybe," Joe says.

"Well, here's what we have to do," Killua says. "We might need to throw the challenge."

"No, no," Kirito says. "That's never a good idea."

"But if Kyon is able to use Safety Without Power-"

"He doesn't have that!"

"How can you be sure?"

"We're just pushing one step closer to our own demise if we do that!"

"But it will be the demise of one of us if he's able to get a Token and go home for the night."

"How do you even know he has it?"

"I don't! I just want to play the percentages."

"The analytics say throwing a challenge never works!"

Joe finally steps in between the two arguing Men.

"There's no need for this," he says. "Let's try to read Kyon's body language. If he is going all out at the challenge, then we know that he wants to win it for a Fire Token. But if he looks lethargic, that's probably a sign that he's got nothing up his sleeve and that he's a goner."

Kirito and Killua both take deep breaths.

"Okay," Kirito says.

"Sounds good," Killua says.

"I don't think throwing the challenge is a good idea," Kirito says. "It never works out for anyone when they throw it. That being said, we do need to be careful. If Kyon has some sort of secret advantage that we don't know of, we could be in big trouble. I'm just not willing to give up a challenge to find out."

"Kirito 'misunderestimates' the power of Fire Tokens, to quote a famous person," Killua says. "He doesn't realize that Kyon could be stockpiling them and saving them toward a big advantage. And it could be that one Token that we would win from the challenge that would be enough to give him what he needs to buy the advantage that allows him to escape."

Michiru and Jasmine, meanwhile, feel completely helpless.

"What do we do now?" Jasmine asks.

"I don't know," Michiru replies.

"We don't have enough Fire Tokens for anything," Jasmine says. "We've got yours and mine, and that's only two."

"I guess if we won the next challenge, we could earn enough for an extra vote," Michiru says. "But that's the trick, isn't it? Winning immunity is the way to go in this game."

"Yeah, we have to win immunity anyway," Jasmine says. "We are both in big trouble should we lose today."

"I don't know if there's ever been a more helpless feeling than the one I've got right now," Jasmine says. "The only way to stay in the game is to win immunity. Lose, and one of us is out. It's obvious what they're going to do, and it's obvious that we don't have any way of fighting back. We just have to win."

"I know when Haruka played, she was in some pretty precarious positions," Michiru says. "She kept fighting until she made it to the end. That's what I've got to do. I've got to somehow survive even with things looking as bad as they do."

Michiru and Jasmine try talking to Alice a little bit later.

"You know what happens if you go to the Final Three with Konata and Haruhi," Jasmine says.

"You lose," Michiru says. "You don't get through to the end having those two with you."

"Hey, I'm listening," Alice replies. "I know that. I'm not tying myself to them. I just have to have assurance of one thing."

"And what's that?" Michiru asks.

"That you don't do the same thing that you say that Haruhi and Konata will do," Alice says. "Because from what I can tell, by basic math, you two are connected the same way Haruhi and Konata are. So, whether I go with them or go with you, I'm still out of luck at the Final Three."

"I understand the concern," Jasmine says. "But you should realize that the two of us aren't the same as the two of them."

"How so?"

"Don't you see it?" Jasmine says. "Konata grew up idolizing Haruhi, cosplaying as her. Now she got a chance to meet her idol. She's not going to turn on her anytime soon. The only way they get split up is if we vote out one of them. Whereas, the two of us, we don't know each other. We just came to work together for survival purposes."

"I'll take it under consideration," Alice says.

"We made our big pitch to Alice," Jasmine says. "But I don't think it worked. I think she's still tied at the hip to Haruhi and Konata. If she changed her mind, she sure didn't show it to us. But what else can we do? We've got no way of convincing Haruhi or Konata to turn on Alice. They have no incentive to do so, because that makes it 2-2. Either Alice changes her mind, or we've got a ton of immunities to win."

"Little do Michiru and Jasmine know that I am all ears for their pleas," Alice says. "But I can't let them know that! I need them to be begging me and promising me stuff beyond their control. The next trick? Get any Fire Tokens they have off them. That way, once I'm through this vote, I can survive in a 2-1-1 scenario."

Immunity Challenge

"Come on in, guys!"

The nine remaining players walk into the immunity challenge area, with Joe carrying in the Ranma immunity idol.

"You guys ready to get to today's immunity challenge?"

"Yeah!" Konata exclaims.

"First things first, I will take it back."

Joe tosses the idol over to Jet, who barely catches it before it hits the ground. Jet then takes off running with the idol, and the other players chase him down.

"It's caught out of the air!" Konata exclaims. "The idol is pulled in by Jet Black! Jet is going for a touchdown for Survivor!"

Jet is about to spike the idol, when he pulls up at the last second and lifts the idol up in the air.

"Once again, immunity is…"

"BACK UP FOR GRABS!" everyone says in unison.

"Thank you. For today's challenge, you will be playing a game of four-on-four flag football, a sport coming to the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. You get four downs to score a touchdown, starting at your own goal line. No first downs, no penalties, no tackling. Just pure flag football. First team to score three touchdowns, wins immunity, safe from the vote. Losers, Tribal Council, where someone will be voted out of this game. In addition, you are playing for reward. Wanna know what you're playing for?"

"Of course!" Haruhi shouts.

"The winning tribe will be taken to the Sanctuary, where good things happen. In this case, you'll get a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey, turkey, turkey, just like on Family Fortunes. Also mashed potatoes, yams, corn, stuffing, cranberry sauce, John LaFoots…"

"John LaFoots?" Konata says. "What the *$#% are those?"

"Don't ask me, I've never eaten any," Jet replies. "Worth playing for?"

"Yeah!" everyone shouts.

"Women, you've got one extra member, you've got to sit someone out. You cannot sit out the same people in back-to-back challenges. Haruhi and Konata both sat out last challenge, so one of the other three of you needs to sit out."

"I will," Alice says, raising her hand.

"Very well then, take a spot on the bench. I'll give you a minute to strategize, then we'll get it on!"

The two tribes line up on the field, with Haruhi taking control of the ball first.

"For immunity! Survivors ready? Go!"

Haruhi is playing quarterback, and her first pass goes to Konata, naturally. Konata pulls in the pass to pick up half the distance to the goal line. Killua pulls her flag at that point.

"Good gain for the Women!"

Haruhi throws her next pass to Konata as well, and she gets down to a few yards from the goal line, where Kirito pulls her flag.

"Another nice one!"

Haruhi then throws to Konata again, but this pass falls incomplete.

"Trying to go to well too many times!" Jet shouts. "There are two other receivers out there!"

Haruhi ignores Jet, throwing to Konata again on fourth down. This pass gets deflected away by Joe.

"Haruhi locks in one receiver, and she pays for it! Turnover on downs! Men's ball!"

Killua takes the ball, and on his first pass, he finds Kirito for a good gain. Jasmine manages to grab his flag before he gets too far.

"Good gain for the Men!"

Killua's next pass goes to Joe, where he is stopped only inches from the goal line by Michiru.

"Third down!"

On the next play, Killua looks to the end zone and pump-fakes to Joe. He then passes over to Kirito for the touchdown.

"That's one touchdown for the Men! Two more necessary for the win!"

Haruhi takes over with the ball, and once again, she tries throwing to Konata. Joe jumps in front of the pass and picks it off. He returns the interception close to the goal line, whereupon he laterals to Killua. Killua then showboats into the end zone for the Men's second touchdown.

"Only one more touchdown for the Men to win! Women got to pick it up!"

"Let Jasmine in at quarterback!" Alice yells to Haruhi from the bench.

Haruhi reluctantly hands the ball over to Jasmine. On first down, Jasmine throws a pass to Michiru, and Killua pulls her flag.

"Second down!"

This time, Jasmine throws the ball over to Konata, who gets a pretty big gain before having her flag pulled by Joe.

"Third down!"

Jasmine throws the ball back to Michiru, and she gets within a couple yards of the end zone before Kirito pulls her flag.

"Fourth down!"

Jasmine pump-fakes to Michiru, then throws up a lob into the end zone to Haruhi. Kyon is trying to stop her, but Haruhi pushes him to the ground before going up and catching the pass.

"Touchdown, Penn State! Wait, I mean, touchdown, Women!"

Haruhi spikes the ball right at Kyon, who sighs.

"No penalties in this game?" he says. "This sucks."

"It's two to one in favor of the Men!" Jet shouts. "One more touchdown for the Men, and they win!"

Killua takes the ball and drops back to pass. He fires it in Kyon's direction, but Haruhi rushes toward him and slams him to the ground, before tipping the pass and intercepting it. Joe and Kirito fruitlessly chase after her as she rushes to the end zone.

"Touchdown, Women! It's tied, 2-2!"

"Yes!" Haruhi shouts, jumping and spiking the ball. Kyon looks stunned as he picks himself off the grass.

"No rules, really?" Kyon says. "Come on, this isn't NFL Blitz 2000 out here. She shouldn't be allowed to do that."

"All right, everybody," Jet says. "I'm going to tell you what I'm observing. You're right on that line of getting ugly. Consider yourself warned. If I see anything resembling a cheap shot, you're kicked out of the challenge."

Killua takes the ball back, and he throws it toward Joe on first down. Joe hauls it in for a short gain before Michiru gets his flag.

"Second down!"

Killua now throws toward Kirito, and he hauls it in before Jasmine pulls his flag.

"A short gain again! Third down!"

On third down, Killua lobs one up toward the end zone, where Kyon has broken through. He is about to catch it, when Haruhi goes up and gives a flying kick to his face. Kyon falls to the ground without the ball and also without quite a bit of blood.

"Stop! Haruhi! Out of the challenge!"

Haruhi gets up angrily, while Kyon lies on the grass bleeding.

"First time in Survivor history, someone's been pulled out of a challenge!"

"Uh, no!" Konata exclaims. "Others have been removed before!"

"Whatevs," Jet replies. "Medical, come get a look at Kyon."

Kyon picks himself up off the ground, bleeding badly. Retsu Unohana immediately goes over and bandages him up. He shakes his head at Haruhi.

"I thought I knew you," he says.

Haruhi pouts, then pulls down one eyelid and sticks her tongue out at Kyon. "You just got me thrown out of this challenge!" she cries.

"You have done that yourself," Jet replies.

Unohana finishes bandaging up Kyon. "He'll be just fine," she says. "Just a couple cuts that I was able to get sewn up."

"Very well then," Jet says. "It will be fourth down for the Men, minus Kyon, who is too hurt to continue. Haruhi is also out for the Women."

Killua takes the ball, then drops back to pass. He looks over at Joe, and he pump-fakes in his direction. He then turns over to Kirito, but Konata is providing airtight coverage. Killua decides to pass to Joe, with Jasmine and Michiru guarding him.

"The pass is…"

"NOT incomplete! It is complete! Joe caught it! Touchdown, Men, and with that, Men… win immunity!"

Killua, Joe, and Kirito all give each other high fives, before going over to Kyon and shaking hands with him.

"This one's for you, Kyon!" Kirito says.

Jasmine takes off her flags and slams them angrily to the ground. Michiru looks depressed, while Konata goes over to Haruhi and Alice and shakes her head.

"We'll get 'em next time," she says.

"Yeah, maybe," Alice says.

"Congratulations, Men, this is for you."

Jet pulls out the Ranma immunity idol and hands it to Joe.

"You are safe from tonight's vote. You four are guaranteed to make the Final Eight. Plus, you've got a Thanksgiving dinner waiting for you at the Sanctuary. Waiting for you with the food will be one Fire Token for each player. Head on out, I'll see you tonight up in the peanut gallery."

Joe holds the immunity idol high as the Men walk out of the immunity challenge area.

"As for you, Women, after 20 brutal days out here in the hot sun, one of you's goin' home. You've got tonight to figure out who that's gonna be. Head on out, I'll see you tonight for Tribal."

Alice shakes her head as the Women walk on out.

"Now it's time for me to figure out what I'm gonna do," Alice says. "Do I stay loyal to my alliance, or do I flip on them? It's a tough choice to make."

Sanctuary

Men: Joe, Killua, Kirito, Kyon

The four Men collect their Fire Tokens and start to eat their enormous Thanksgiving dinner.

"This is great," Kirito says. "We've not only won this big reward, but we've gotten back into a tie with the Women."

"It isgreat," Kyon says. "After all that Haruhi put me through, to come out on top is rather satisfying."

"Haruhi had me down and out, but I fought through in order to get myself into this situation," Kyon says. "Now it's going to be four-four between us and the Women come next immunity. Who knows, I may even be able to make it to the end, if I can get Joe or Kirito or both to flip on Killua."

Joe bites into some turkey. "You know, the Women once gave up immunity because they were so overconfident. Now we're going to be even with them. Wouldn't it be great if we end up as the Final Four?"

"I'm hoping for that too," Killua says as he eats some mashed potatoes. "If we manage to wipe out the Women, we've got to make sure not to vote any of each other out if the one remaining Woman comes over to our tribe."

"In reality, I'm not hoping for that at all," Killua says. "My goal is to get to the end as the only Man left. That way, all the other Men have no choice but to vote for me. Then I get Alice on the jury, and she oruses up the other Women to vote for me. It's a narrow path which requires a lot of things to go right, but I think we can pull it off."

"What do you think they'll use as the next immunity challenge?" Kirito asks.

"I don't know," Killua replies. "Squash? Cricket? Judo? They'll come up with something good."

"I hope it's a sport we know how to play," Joe says, munching on some corn.

"We have no idea what challenge is going to be next, so there's only one choice: use up our remaining Fire Tokens on the Medallion of Power," Joe says. "Plus, we won't be able to use any Fire Tokens once the tribes go lower than four people. So, this will be glory's last shot."

"I'm still not convinced that Kyon doesn't have some sort of great advantage that he's going to pull out on us," Kirito says. "Plus, he just won another Fire Token. If he uses those Tokens right, he may find a way to make it to the end. That's something the other three of us must stop from happening."

Camp

Women: Alice, Haruhi, Jasmine, Konata, Michiru

The Women are downtrodden after having lost that challenge.

"I regret giving away immunity that one time," Michiru says. "Because now the Men are even with us."

"Yeah, we never should have done that," Jasmine says. "We were overconfident, and our overconfidence was our weakness."

"Man, what a terrible challenge," Jasmine says. "Now we have to deal with the very real truth that the Men have caught up with us. It's a tough pill to swallow."

Meanwhile, things are not going well amongst Alice, Konata, and Haruhi.

"This sucks," Konata says. "We were supposed to dominate all the way to the end. I can't believe we lost today."

"Oh, I can," Alice says. "Haruhi basically threw that game. Were you purposely throwing the challenge, Haruhi?"

"Why would I tell you even if I did?" Haruhi replies. "But to answer your question, no."

"You %*#^$!" Alice yells. "I don't believe you for a second! You're so overconfident in our alliance that you fail to account for the fact that the Men are now right back in this thing! You know that if we lose the next immunity challenge, they are going to outnumber us! Forget about your alliance and try to win challenges."

"Excuse me, but I'm not the one who tried to throw several challenges," Haruhi shoots back.

"Oh, you're going to bring up that now!" Alice shouts. "Look, Suzumiya, I couldn't care less about what you and Konata are cooking. What matters now is that I am the swing vote. I can make JAM knock you guys out in one fell swoop."

"Good luck with that," Konata says. "You vote with them, then they vote you out right afterward. You're connected with us at the hip. You can't jump ship now. Remember what the immortal Dan Foley said: 'Flippers never win.'"

"Oh, I'm so frustrated with Konata and Haruhi right now," Alice says. "But at the same time, I can't vote them out. If I do, I'm the one on the outs. That wouldn't make any sense. I've got to roll with them, as much as it hurts."

"Alice is getting on my nerves!" Haruhi says. "She blames me for the loss. Heck, I was the one trying the hardest out there! Jet said 'no rules.' I believed him. So I went all out and knocked Kyon out of the game. Sometimes you've got to take advantage of the rules given to you. And that's exactly what I did."

The Men straggle into the camp, most of them rubbing their bellies and burping.

"My, was that one nice meal," Kirito says.

"Oh, shut up!" Konata complains. "Just for that, you're not getting any rice."

"What do we need rice for?" Killua says. "We already stuffed ourselves with all kinds of high-quality food."

"Yeah, so what?" Haruhi says. "You know you just got lucky at that immunity challenge. We basically handed it to you."

"You sound like a Steelers fan," Joe says. "'The only reason the Steelers lost Super Bowl XLV is because they handed the game to the Packers.' Typical delusional nonsense. They lost, and you lost. And now you've got to vote someone out."

"Whatevs," Konata says. "I can't wait to vote you out."

"I must have touched a nerve with Konata," Joe says. "Is she secretly a Steelers fan? In any case, our tribe has a big advantage right now, and with only one more chance to use the Fire Tokens, we'll buy the Medallion of Power for the next challenge and use it to win and take the lead on the Women. We're going to end up beating them to the end."

"I'm no Steelers fan, but I feel as if Joe is becoming really annoying, and there's nothing I can do right now to stop him," Konata says. "Maybe I can give a couple Fire Tokens to Kyon? I don't know. But right now I'm pretty pissed at anyone except for Haruhi."

Jasmine and Michiru, meanwhile, try one last Hail Mary.

"We need two Fire Tokens to buy an extra vote," Jasmine says. "We've got to go beg for some."

"I'll work on Kirito, you work on Joe," Michiru says.

Michiru goes off to talk with Kirito, but the talk is a nonstarter.

"No thank you," Kirito replies. "I want that Token so we can buy the Medallion of Power for the final time next immunity challenge."

"But please-"

"Nope," Kirito says. "Sorry."

Joe is likewise not convinced by Jasmine's pleas.

"I can't give one up now," Joe says. "I'm really sorry. We need badly to get that Medallion of Power. We can't possibly just throw away our Tokens at this point."

Jasmine sighs. "I understand," she says.

Michiru and Jasmine meet together by the fire, where Kyon is lounging. They both tell each other about their fruitless arguments.

"I couldn't convince Kirito," Michiru says.

"Same with Joe," Jasmine says.

"Convince about what?" Kyon asks.

Michiru sighs. "We need two Fire Tokens to buy an extra vote, so we stand a chance against their alliance of three. But Kirito and Joe won't give us any."

Kyon looks thoughtful. "What if…"

He huddles together with Jasmine and Michiru, and the three of them have a conversation. Over at the beach, Haruhi and Konata are feeling confident.

"This is easy at this point," Haruhi says.

"You're telling me," Konata says.

"We vote out Jasmine or Michiru tonight," Haruhi says. "Which one, I'm not sure yet, we'll have to ask Alice. Then we vote out Alice 3-1 with the help of whoever's left between Jasmine and Michiru. Then we vote out Jasmine or Michiru, whichever one's left, and we make it as the final two of our tribe."

"Yeah, and since we lost today, there's no Fire Tokens to save Jasmine and Michiru," Konata says. "I'm glad we lost the challenge."

"So am I," Haruhi says. "Kyon may be gloating right now, but he won't be come next challenge."

"Kyon is a loser," Haruhi says. "And I am a winner. And that's only going to be shown tonight when my alliance with Konata completely takes over the game. We are in the ultimate position of power. If we wanted to flip on Alice, we could. If we want to take out Michiru, we can. If we want to take out Jasmine, we can. Any way we want it, that's the way we need it, any way we want it."

Tribal Council

(Women)

As the Men take their seats up in the peanut gallery, the Women take their spots in the Tribal Council area.

"We now bring in the members of our jury," Jet states. "Ami, Mine, Spike, and voted out last Tribal Council, Misty Waterflower."

The four jury members waltz into the Tribal Council area, all wearing rather miserable looks on their faces as they view the Women.

"All right, let's talk about that challenge," Jet says. "Haruhi, you pretty much blew that challenge for your tribe."

"And what does that matter?" Haruhi replies. "We're not gonna win 'em all!"

"It matters because you are at risk tonight," Jet states. "You don't have enough Tokens to buy an idol, so you are going to be one of five names who could possibly get voted out."

"Ahem," Konata breaks in.

"Yes?" Jet says.

"We have a strong alliance of three here," Konata says. "Myself, Alice, and Haruhi."

"Is this true, Alice?"

"Absolutely!" Alice replies. "It's ride-or-die with these two. I'm going to stay loyal to who got me here."

"But don't you fear those two turning on you?"

"Why would they?" Alice replies. "If they tried turning on me, then they'd hand the advantage in the tribe back to JAM, aka Jasmine and Michiru. Likewise, I have no incentive to flip on them, because then JAM could very easily vote me out afterwards. We are tied at the hip. There's no other way around it."

"I see," Jet says. "Michiru, do you feel hopeless in this situation?"

"Absolutely," Michiru says. "Jasmine and I lost our closest ally in Misty, and now we don't have the numbers."

"It's more than that," Jasmine says. "Haruhi could go do whatever she wanted at the challenge because she knew she had the numbers. Throw the challenge, win the challenge, it didn't matter. Michiru and I are screwed."

"Haruhi, any chance these alliances collapse tonight?"

"Well, you'd have to say that anytime," Haruhi says. "You never know until you pull those pieces of parchment out of the voting urn. That's what makes this game so exciting."

"Konata, does it matter who the JAM alliance even votes for?"

"Of course it matters," Konata says. "Because we're always at danger of someone flipping. But I'm not going to flip, and neither is Haruhi. And I hope Alice doesn't."

"I won't, don't worry," Alice says. "My strategy in this game involves sticking with my alliance. This is going to be a boring vote. Might as well just get it over with."

"Wait!" Jasmine says. "Let me make one last plea."

"Go ahead," Jet says.

"If you want to win this game, you're going to have to make friends with the jury," Jasmine says. "Right now, you're not making any friends here. No one's gonna vote for you at the end of the game. You need jury votes. And the way you're treating myself and Michiru, and the way you treated Misty and Ami… it's not right."

"I concur," Michiru says. "You three are so overconfident that you've made half the jury mad with you. If you want to get jury votes, you're going to have to change your way of playing the game."

"Duly noted," Alice replies.

"Okay, and with that, it is time to vote," Jet states. "Alice, you're up first."

Alice smirks as she gets up from her seat and goes to vote, with the Tribal Council theme "Tally the Vote" playing as she does.

"I promised I'd stay loyal, and I'm keeping my word," Alice says. "I chose you because you're a little more feisty."

Haruhi goes to vote.

Jasmine goes to vote.

Konata goes to vote.

Michiru goes to vote.

"This really is a Hail Mary… but we've got to try it," Michiru says.

After Michiru comes back from voting, she takes her seat and grabs Jasmine's hand.

"I'll go tally the votes," Jet says.

Jet walks over to the voting booth, gathers the votes, mixes them up a little, then returns to his podium.

"If anyone has a hidden immunity idol and you'd like to play it, now would be the time to do so."

No one budges.

"Okay. Once the votes are read, the decision is final, and the person voted out will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes."

"First vote… Haruhi."

Haruhi smirks upon seeing her name.

"Haruhi. That's two votes Haruhi."

Haruhi crosses her arms but stays calm.

"Jasmine."

Jasmine squeezes Michiru's hand tight.

"Jasmine. We're tied, two votes Jasmine, two votes Haruhi."

"Jasmine."

Haruhi and Konata give each other high fives, and they celebrate with Alice. But that's when Jet interrupts them.

"Two votes left."

"Huh?" Haruhi wonders.

"What the heck's going on here?" Konata asks.

"We've got two more votes in the voting urn," Jet says.

He pulls out the next vote.

"Haruhi. We're tied, three votes Haruhi, three votes Jasmine, one vote left."

"What the hell's going on out here?" Haruhi shouts.

"Twelfth person eliminated from Survivor: Akala Island, Game Changers…"

"Haruhi Suzumiya."

"What the HELL?" Haruhi screams.

Alice's jaw drops, and Konata buries her face in her hands. Michiru and Jasmine give each other a high five, while the Men and the jury all bust out laughing.

"That's four, that's enough," Jet says.

"But what the hell happened?" Haruhi asks. "There are only five of us. Where did the other two votes come from?"

"Kyon gave us two Fire Tokens and his extra vote," Michiru explains. "I bought an extra vote with my Token, Jasmine's Token, and Kyon's pair of Tokens. Then Jasmine used Kyon's extra vote."

"You mean to tell me…" Haruhi begins to say.

"That's right," Jasmine says. "Kyon voted you out."

Haruhi kicks the ground and slams her fist into her seat. "Man, this sucks!"

"You need to bring me your torch," Jet says.

Haruhi shakes hands with Alice and Konata, then goes over to get her torch. She brings it out in front of Jet and drops it into its slot.

"Haruhi, the tribe has spoken," Jet says, snuffing out her torch. "It's time for you to go."

Haruhi shakes her head furiously as she walks out of Tribal Council. As she walks on out, she sees the table full of boxes, and she immediately drops her Fire Token into Konata's box.

"Go get revenge on Kyon for me," Haruhi pouts, as she walks away. The camera then pans back to Tribal Council.

"Every Tribal Council it's something new," Jet says. "Maybe next time we'll fix it so one person gets 10 votes but somehow just so happens to be safe on his Shot in the Dark. In the meantime, you've got a lot to think about. Grab your torches, head back to camp, good night."

Konata and Alice shake their heads as they walk out of the Tribal Council area, with Jasmine and Michiru following them, chuckling all the way.

"What the hell even happened here?" Haruhi says. "Kyon decides to throw away his entire game just to screw me? Why would he do that? That's so stupid. Man, I'm feeling melancholy already. I wanted to have more fun with Konata out on Akala Island. Instead, my voyage is over, and I'm going to have to sit on that blasted jury. No fun!"
