AN: Hey everyone!

I think 2 updates went out last night but in the wrong order, honestly I'm not sure what happened, haha!

Anyway, these are the same chapters, just in the right order!

Thanks

The next day, Santana corners Blaine early to ask him why he's avoiding her and if it's his fault that everybody knows.

"I didn't tell her anything! Apparently, she 'accidentally' walked in on you while you were in the shower at home and saw everything! I know that you're going to say you don't believe her, I don't either. You only shower in yours and Q's en-suite, she has no reason to be in there. She was using me, like we thought originally. I tried to ask her to keep it a secret and it lasted around 2 weeks but then when I heard the rumour, I broke up with her immediately.

I'm so sorry San. I just- I just couldn't face you, I feel like it's all my fault and now all these people are talking about you and I didn't even have the balls to stand up for you against Finn yesterday and.." He finally pauses as he begins to sob.

Santana knew that he wouldn't have voluntarily offered up the information, she knew it would be something like this. She pulled her brother tight into her chest and he hugged her back fiercely, constantly repeating them two words, 'I'm sorry'.

When Blaine had calmed down and they had exchanged their last few words, she knew she had to intercept her girlfriend before she killed Brittany.

Luckily, Brittany hadn't turned up to Cheerios and so Quinn hadn't seen her yet.

Santana caught up with her blonde at her locker and told Quinn everything. By the time she'd finished, Quinn was seething and ready to go to the ends of the earth for Brittany to pay, but Santana managed to convince her that she was best confronting the mastermind that was Brittany S. Pierce.

It turns out that Brittany for some reason just didn't turn up to Cheerios but was in school today. Santana slipped her a note, letting her know to meet her in the auditorium at lunch time, the blue eyed girl winked seductively and nodded.

Santana knew right then that she needed to watch her back. There was no way Brittany was going to walk right into her trap.

She recruited Blaine to go with her, though he was reluctant, and Mike Chang, another football player that had no issues with the Latina, and they would hide in the background, just in case.

The lunchtime bell rang and she made her way to the auditorium, around 5 minutes later, Brittany came bouncing in, reminding her of the 7 year old, bubbly blonde she met originally.

"I knew you'd want me eventually Sanny! I bet Quinnie doesn't even let you near her with that amazing dick attached to you, and trust me, that definitely needs some attention!" She cheers, as if this is a normal conversation to be having.

"How did you know Britt?" Santana asks warily.

"Well.. I had just been making out with Blaine when I decided that even though I had one Lopez, it wasn't the one I wanted. I knew that Quinn was out so I made my way over to your room. It was empty but I heard the shower running and thought you might want some company. I opened the door and stepped in and that's when I saw you, in all your naked glory, the masterpiece dangling between your legs. Trust me, it got me so wet, I was so ready to ride it and for you to fuck me. I started to strip but then I heard the front door and she was shouting. You didn't hear her because you were singing, I assume that's why you didn't hear me either. So, because I didn't want her to catch us, I got re-dressed and went back to Blaine." She shrugged, so casually, as if what she was saying wasn't wrong, on so many levels..

"Right. Okay." Santana said, clearing her throat, extremely uncomfortable. "So, why did you tell Blaine?"

"I just asked him if he knew. He looked shocked at first but then he asked me what gave me that impression, I said I accidentally walked in on you. I mean, I did walk in on you but it wasn't an accident, I wanted you. I want you." She said menacingly, stepping closer, to which Santana reversed.

"Britt.. you know I'm with Quinn. I love her."

"YOU DON'T!" She screamed back. "You just think you do because she's forced you into thinking that! I've loved you since I met you. Okay, I've slept with a lot of people since then and I did take off the bracelet because I didn't think you'd come back. But I still did." She argued.

"You don't love me Brittany. I think you like the idea of me. It's probably a hero complex, considering I saved you both that first day but it's not that with Quinn."

Brittany's face began to flush red with anger and Santana could see that this was not going to end well.

"I do love you! More than she ever will! I'll let you fuck me whichever way you want! Whenever you want! She won't do that! I bet she didn't even know! I want to show you that I love you!" She shouted.

At this point, Santana is extremely glad that she had convinced Quinn not to come because she has a horrible feeling right now.

Before she could act on it, Brittany had pulled something silver and shiny from her pocket and charged towards the Latina.

Santana had dodged the first attack in time but Brittany was wildly swinging. The brunette felt a pinch down her forearm and suddenly, red liquid was pouring from her, but she definitely didn't have time to worry about that.

Brittany was still wild with her arms and she was screaming, beetroot in the face.

The amount of blood pouring from Santana's arm was alarming to her, she had to act fast and so dashed toward the taller girl and wrestled her to the floor.

Brittany got one last swing and stabbed Santana in the side of her abdomen, luckily the Latina acted rapidly and so it was not very deep or precise but she'd still been wounded.

She managed to restrain Britt when she called for the boys, who took over.

Mike straddled and held Brittany, while Blaine called an ambulance, watching the colour quickly drain from Santana's face. He stripped his t-shirt and quickly tied it around her wrist and held pressure on her slight puncture.

The lights quickly dimmed for Santana, until she was engulfed into complete darkness.

When she awoke, there was the all to familiar sound of beeping. One that she was way to used to hearing.

She could feel a soft touch, running their fingers up and down her bandage, knowing their was only one person that would be doing that.

"Q?" She rasped out and was quickly engulfed by arms and the familiar smell of vanilla shampoo clouding her senses.

"I'm so glad you're okay lovebug." She cried into brunette hair. "I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have let you go on your own."

She wrestled her eyes open, blinking to try and adjust to the light, which seemed to be burning her.

"Lucy, look at me." Teary eyes pulled back from her neck and droplets descended quickly down her face. "This is not your fault. I did not go alone, thank god. And you are the last person I wanted there because I know that that knife was intended for you."

"She stabbed you Tana!" Quinn shouts, more frustrated with herself than the bedridden girl.

"She grazed me.." She pauses, "Twice. But I swear, it's okay. I'd rather me than you, any day. Plus the cut on my side barely got me. I'll be perfectly fine in a couple days." She pulled the side of her gown up to see the stitches, knowing that it was fine.

Quinn's tears continued to fall as she watched. Santana gave her a small smile and she thanked the lord again that he had kept her alive.

"It should have been me." She mumbled.

"No! I don't ever want to hear that again! I never want you in this position Quinn, it should not have been you! I will always protect you or die trying!" She said sternly.

"What about you Tana? I don't want to see you like this either, I've seen it too many times now! Who's going to protect you?"

"I'll protect my body, while you protect my heart. That's what I need. Now please, come and lay with me? I'm sure I'll be out of here soon." She said, much softer and enticingly.

Quinn quickly gave in and lay on her left side, the uninjured one. Lucky for her, she could listen to Santana's heartbeat.

The Latina bent down and kissed the top of her head, "I'm sorry I shouted. I love you baby love, don't ever forget it. I'll always protect you."

"I love you too." Quinn whimpered as she snuggled as close as possible, both of them quickly falling asleep.

Shouting from outside of her room woke Santana next. She looked down and saw her girlfriend still sleeping peacefully at her side, she placed another kiss on the crown of her head, before looking over to the other figure in the room.

Blaine was sitting with his head in his hands, still looking at though he was crying.

"Hey bro." She whispered, sure not to wake Quinn.

His eyes shot up to meet her own and more tears fell and his chin wobbled.

"I'm- I'm so sorry." He managed but was shot down immediately.

"No. No more sorry's. I'm sick of hearing them. This wasn't your fault, the same way it wasn't Q's fault, therefore you need to stop apologising. I am fine, she didn't get me properly so I'll be good as new in a couple days. Now what the hell is going on out there and where's Mami?" She finished calmly.

The look on Blaine's face instantly changed and she knew right there that something was wrong. "What is it?"

"The- er, the shouting outside.. that's Mami." He mumbled out.

"What do you mean? Who's she screaming at like that?"

"Don't lose your shit, okay? Q's still sleeping and you don't want to rip your stitches."

"Blaine, I don't need a lecture. Who's upsetting Mami?"

"Papi." He says so lowly, it was almost incoherent.

Santana could feel the heat rising within her and the machine started to beat rapidly because of her rising heart rate.

Blaine started to panic seeing the machines flashing and this also arose Quinn.

"Tana, are you okay? What's happening?" She asked, moving from the bed and cupping tanned cheeks.

The Latina didn't answer and luckily the change in stats had the doctors rushing in immediately. With her previous heart issue that was never resolved, they aren't taking any chances when it comes to blood pressure or heart rate.

Quinn can see the anger swirling in her eyes and can only wonder what's caused it. But then, she hears the screaming for the first time.

Between the beeping and the altercation in the corridor, she can't really hear anything else.

Blaine and Quinn are ushered by nurse out of the room, where they can see the two people arguing.

Quinn approaches them cautiously, clearing her throat she speaks up, "Mama? Somethings happening."

"Mama? You've taken in another stray child! Mari what is wrong with you?" The large man bellows and it scares Quinn.

"Mija, go back to Blaine. I'll be there in a second."

"Mija?" He scoffs. "Wow. Your daughter is in that bed Maribel! Not that little slut there!"

"Don't you DARE talk about her like that! She is my daughter, the same as Santana! The same way that Blaine is my son. You need to leave here NOW, because she needs me." She starts to walk away, but her arm is gripped tightly.

Blaine sprints over and removes his mothers arm from the man's grasp.

"Don't you dare put your hands on her. She asked you to leave."

"What? No, 'hello' from you either? Have none of you missed me?" He grins slyly.

"Call security Mami. He needs to be gone when they've finished with her, he's the reason she's in this mess right now because she was fine before I told her."

"Then it's your fault B, not mine." He chuckles before walking towards the exit. "I'll be around." He shouts over his shoulder before disappearing.

No one has chance to process what's happening as they both run back towards Santana's room, Quinn already in there, snuggled tightly and crying.

Santana is running her tanned fingers through blonde hair, trying to soothe her. She looks up when she hears the door.

"What the fuck is going on?"

"Language Mija." Maribel scolds before sitting down at Santana's bedside and resting her hand on small of Quinn's back comfortingly.

"Sorry Mami. Now will someone please tell me what's happening and why the hell he's here?"

"You need to calm down before your heart rates sky rockets or they'll keep you here forever. It appears your father went to the school to look for you. Obviously, because he's your father, they told him that you were taken to hospital.

I saw him in the corridor before he could come in here. I confronted him and he said that he wanted to see you, I told him that was bullshit because he hasn't tried to contact either of you since we left that I'm aware of?" She pauses and looks to the two teens, shaking their heads.

"He said that he was here to take you to enlist, now that you were of age. I know you haven't but I told him you'd gone without him but he said he'd checked.

He wanted to come down here and make sure that you had and weren't backing out. That's when the screaming started and that was more issues with our marriage than you too." Mari finishes, looking down.

"I'm sorry Mami, he shouldn't be doing that in your place of work." Blaine sympathises, whilst Santana sits in bewilderment, trying to take in the information.

She feels Quinn shuffle slightly and tired hazel orbs look right back at her.

"Are you okay Q?"

The blonde nods and runs her hand up Santana's shirt, placing it on her abs, needing to feel skin to skin contact.

"I'll be okay, I think everything from today just overwhelmed me. I'm sorry." She says as tears start to build again.

"No more tears pretty girl. No more sorry's. No one in this room says sorry again today, nobody has anything to be sorry for! As long as the people in this room are okay, I don't care about anything outside of these four walls right now.

I can't wait to go toe to toe with Papi and tell him everything I've thought about him the past two years because he deserves it after turning up here and treating you like that Mami."

Everyone just sits in silence, knowing not to argue with Santana right now. Too scared for her health.

"Now, when am I getting out of here? I am so ready for a pizza, a movie and cuddling on the couch." She laughs and all three faces slowly turn to a grin.
