Gabrielle looked over his staff before Captain Greer arrived. Captain Dammers was doing a good job as an XO. The Orion with the pieces taken from the Tapir should hopefully have the main CIC fixed in a few days and get the portside defenses up to over 60%. LT JG Gavins had joined the Orion along with the other survivors from the Tapir. Gavins was now chief engineer of the Orion. LT (no longer JG) Flacca was out of medbay under light duty and was given Ensign Rogers to be her runner. Of them all Gabrielle was glad that Flacca was back as Flacca's training as BuPers made Flacca the obvious choice to pass off personnel issues regarding the fleet to. Major Gobi was there as well. The Major had taken his promotion with a certain sardonic whit that Gabrielle had learned to appreciate.

Captain Potts said that they should be able to feed 1600 people with no major issues. There is enough food on hand to get them through until crops on the Dykstra were ready for harvest. Variety of food will be low but there should be enough of it. The bigger issue is living quarters. The Sandpiper would not be able to take any extra people and the Zephyr could only take about 90. By using every available bed and turning some larger quarters into bunkhouses there would be just enough room.

Captain Greer looked pretty rough. Losing half of her forces during the rescue had weighed heavily on her. It also weighed heavily on Colonel Gabrielle. They could not afford many more "victories" at that cost. They would need to be smarter or luckier or both in the future. "Thank you for joining us Captain Greer. How are people doing moving to the other ships" Colonel Gabrielle asked. He of course had his own reports but the truth can be shaded at times and best to hear a different point of view.

"All of the other 3 ships have taken people aboard. Some complaining but nothing surprising" replied Captain Greer. "A bigger problem will be people getting bored. Around a third of the people on the fleet have little if anything to do."

"Yes I have talked to LT Flacca here about that" said Colonel Gabrielle pointing to the LT who also looked rough after having her spleen ruptured and leg broken in 4 places. LT Gwen Flacca was on "light duty" but light duty and the LT did not get along. She might be a permanent "staff puke" unlike Gabrielle who was filling out his career jacket before he got his own ship but she worked harder than any shipboard officer he had ever known. "We should be able to find jobs for the trained people and train most of the rest." Luckily the people from the CIF asteroid that weren't children were pretty experienced in space unlike some of the other people. The Pallas especially had a lot of whining about their situation. To be fair they were expecting a short scenic trip from Helios Beta to Helios Alpha when the Cylons attacked but still they are at least alive.

"I do have a question though. Before we rescued your people you said the CIF had several of what we might call bases with the one in the System 04187 being the biggest" said Colonel Olaf Gabrielle. "So do you have any more bases or supplies that might be helpful." Tyleum was good for about 6 more months but with no mining ships even if they found tyleum it would be time consuming and inefficient to get a large amount out.

"Colonel the answer is sort of. We had to disperse our supplies in case you Stompers found us. Some are supply depots. Some are simply rendezvous points. There might be some CIF supporting ships that we might find but as far as I know the ships I had was all the CIF had outside the Cyrannus system" said Captain Greer. "I will give you are list of them as they are worth checking out."

"Captain Greer do you have any information on any other 'freedom fighter' groups" asked Major Gobi. Again Colonel Gabrielle was glad that the CO of the Vigilant was here. The Colonial Guard was more informed in the ins and outs of the various rebels, pirates, and smugglers than anyone on the Orion was. Major Gobi was from Leonis and like many Leonese he was aware that the Colonial government was in the whole good but also skeptical of that same government. The haves and have nots of the Twelve Colonies was something that most of the "haves" weren't aware of. Leonis at least seemed to apologize if for no other reason than to annoy Virgon and Caprica.

"We have had some contact with the Ha'la'tha and the SFM" said Captain Greer.

The SFM and CIF were both after the same general goal if not always allies so that was not a surprise. The Ha'la'tha would sell to anyone so again not a huge surprise. "If we show up to those places what do you think will happen" asked Major Gobi. The other various "freedom fighter" groups were all small due to lack of interest in the planets or like the various Gemenon groups so disorganized that they had little effect.

"Unknown. They probably know about the Cylon attack but the Ha'la'tha were not going to be happy if a Missilestar showed up" said Captain Greer.

Gary Connell woke up in the vat. He looked around and saw another Number 2 and a Number 1. "What happened" he asked. Last he remembered was after taking the tyleum plant on System 04187 that they were able to make it one of their main supply hubs around the Cyrannus System. There were several tyleum mines in Cylon space but being able to get a source closer was a nice bonus. He had been on that asteroid for over six months before the attack.

"You were killed by a Colonial ship" said the Number One. "Apparently you didn't notice that there was a nest of the vermin in that same system. They killed you first and then got their people out."

"I was ordered to take the asteroid. I was told that a hundred Raiders would be enough to protect it. And some Cavil said that other than the tyleum mines there wasn't anything in that system. So whatever frakking BS you are spewing I don't want to hear it" said Gary Connell. The lights on this Cylon ship was giving him a headache. Or maybe it was being reborn. The Baseship seemed weirdly overly bright and dark at the same time. Probably too long with humans.

"Peace Brother" said the other Number Two. "I would like to ask if you would like to take over this ship as Brother Cavil here needs to stay in the Cyrannus System to deal with an issue. We are sending some ships to the Omega Sector to look for a couple of missing ships."
