Another chapter in the bag. I'd admit this one wasn't my best but am happy with how it branches off the cartoon cannon a bit. It will cover a few things that Luz missed in the previous chapters. Plus a few surprises that will shock some of you readers. Also I'm happy on some of the positive comments this story is getting.

From one comment made by Schwarzwald The Reader a month ago about how my only negative is grammar and I seem to prioritize story building. Well I do. Growing up, I did not enjoy reading and saw writing as a waisted subject. Because of that I ended up handicapping myself in my education and had to work hard to get myself back up to speed. It wasn't until my time in the army and one department that I realized how fun reading could be. Then later I realized how enjoyable writing could be.

And thank you other notable commenters. Gamelover41592, Jss2141, sacke110, avengersendgame426, raw666,and lastly that anomalous Guest account that keeps popping up that never says who he is.

Keep on commenting. There writers food for us.

Episode 7: Leave No Witch

Rushing downstairs, Luz goes to the front door. Opening it, she faces the house demon.

"Hooty! Did Eda and King return while I was knocked out?" She quickly asked.

The house demon blinked at the sudden question. "No. Hoot. Didn't see them at all."

Cold dread sweeps under her skin. "That's not good. They were supposed to be back hours ago. Something must have happened."

Rushing to her room, Luz prepares for the worst. Grabbing her pack, where she stored ALL the weapons she's brought from her realm. Filling her utility belt with detonators and hooking hers and the blue lightsaber too, and setting the blaster on her lower back. Throwing on her brown Jedi cloak, Luz rushed out of the house for the search of her friends.

From his spot in the door, Hoot just watched it all with his neutral look. "Wow. Hoot. Wonder was lit a fire under her?"

{Play Music: Escape (Beat Saber soundtrack trailer)}

The camera zooms in to see a dirty deadeye Luz walking in the rain, passing many dirt mounds with sticks planted in them with brown cloaks of Jedi robes wrapped around them or blaster rifles with clone trooper helmets hanging on them. The smoking aftermath of a battlefield in the background. Photos of Luz with several clones hanging out in a barracks. Luz on a ship's bridge. The backsides of a younger Padawan Luz and a human male with short black hair in a Knights robe with thick sideburns and a confident smile. An armored Luz riding on her BARC speeder bike with her lightsaber out with several other clones on speeders following her into a battle.

Luz unknowingly walks through the portal door and falls on her knees. She looks up to see a hand in front of her to take. Looking at the hand's owner, Luz sees a smiling Eda with a happy King on her shoulder. Life is brought back in Luz's eyes, and she smiles back before taking the offered hand.

The door where Hooty was opened as Luz steps outside in her sleeveless yellow vest, with Luz twirling and posing with Eda's staff with one hand and her lightsaber in the other in a low guard. But then Eda took her staff back with an amused grin while Luz gave a sheepish smile. King popped in front with his own pose.

A Boiling Isle mural was seen as Gus, Willow, and Amity are seen briefly before it burns away to show King commanding an army of stuffed toys, which all fall on him. The scene burns away to reveal Luz in front of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, looking at it in sadness. The silhouettes of the Jedi Council, along with other Jedi, stood before disappear, leaving only their burnt robes and lightsabers on the ground.

Emperor Belos raises his staff as he foreshadows behind his castle as red lighting thunder from the sky. His army of Coven guards, numbering by many at his call, standing ready for a fight.

Now Luz was on her BARC speeder, racing past across the landscape. She zooms down the Boling Isles passing, Gus waves at her, Willow smiling, and Amity looking surprised before she smiles softly. Passing by several Coven guards as they try to chase her. Then Eda, with King on her shoulder, hopes on behind the Jedi. Then they hang on for dear life as a massive, monstrous worm-like monster, mouth wide open, lunges at them. Everyone screamed in horror as Luz turns the throttle up and guns it.

Then the scene changes back to the Owl House, where it's nighttime with stars twinkle in the sky as the three are on the roof and looking up into the sky. Luz opens her hands to reveal a ball of magic light and let it float to the sky.

Several lights flashed of fire and ice before the title appears.

Jedi of the Isles

Using the Force to increase her speed, the young Jedi was rushing to town. Looking for any sign of Eda and King and running possible scenarios in her head.

"Okay, Eda needs her elixir, so she goes to the night market or becomes the Owl Beast. It's possible that Eda couldn't find her remedy and is now rampaging through town. Which is not good for everyone. Let's start with this night market."

Entering Bonesbororouw, the search started with Eda's supplier Morton, asking about the night market. Giving Luz her first clue.

"Grimm Hammer." Morton nodded. "Where can I find him when he's not in the night market?"

"I'm sorry. I wish I knew." Morton looked dejected. "All I know is that he doesn't stick around town during the day."

"Most likely to keep out of the sight of the Emperor's Coven," Luz deduced. "Have you heard anything about a beast rampaging the street last night?"

Morton shook his head, making her curse silently in Mando. "Thanks' for the info anyway." Luz turns away from the Witch and walks in a random direction. She needed to find this Grimm Hammer person and quickly find out what happened to her friends.

Ducking into an alleyway, she used the Force to jump off the walls and onto the roofing above. Reaching the top and finding a leveled area, she did the last thing she wanted to do when in a situation like this...Meditate

Back in the war, she would have done the exact opposite. But the few short months that Master Unduli had been assigned as her teacher, she was quick to push discipline on Luz. For years Luz had been on her own while the war raged, the Jedi Council almost ignoring her existence during the first year of the Clone War. Then she decided she sat long enough on the sidelines and took a trip to Kamino for training. Three months later, she left with a company of new clone troopers under her command, and for the next two years, they fought together on multiple campaigns, even earning the right to command a ship. Then the Jedi Temple bombing happened and the public trial of her fellow Padawan Ahsoka Tano. After that nightmare, the Council took a lot more interest in the Padawans currently in the field. That's how she became Master Unduil's new Padawan, which became a frustrating and unique experience for Luz.

Granted, since the war started, Luz had been neglected a Master to train under, having to self-training with Holocrons. Thus being very independent for a Padawan for her age than the Jedi Council would like. Experienced in ground warfare, specifically gorilla hit and run tactics with Calvary units. Extremely useful against a parade line of Battle Droids. When Master Unduil saw her lightsaber combat forms that Luz refined from all the action she's been in, she called them roguish and predictable. With her time away from the temple and other Jedi, her swordsmanship had become overlying material combat. Luz didn't meditate often when it was just her, but with her new Master, she was forced to do it a lot in her spare time.

Luz was thankful for those long hours connecting with the Force for what she was about to do.

Taking a breath, Luz carefully opened herself up to the Force while being mindful of the powers that be.

. . .

. . . . . 'THUMP'

. . . . . . . . . !

"Whoa..." This was new.

Luz could see but not actually look with her eyes. Her eyes were closed, but she could see everything around her. It was truly unreal. Her lessons in the past of using Force sight paled in comparison to what she could see now. The Force, Magic, or whatever that Isles contained couldn't be described with words. The very air she breathes was filled with particles of Magic. When looking at the inhabits, they shined brightly in a spectrum of color, especially the younger kids...

Mentally shaking her head, Luz refocused on her task at hand. Throwing in a hastily emotional barrier to not let her emotions run about. She could meditate on this new discovery when her friends weren't in danger. Clearing her thoughts, she focused on finding Eda and King, having developed a bond of friendship with the two, and concentrate on that.

It sort of looked like a bunch of pillars shooting high in the air. Most likely from those Luz connected to. A light blue that felt like Gus and a green that had to be Willow. She could see a small pink light in the distance but didn't know who that could be. She then saw the two she was looking for. A light blackish signature that felt like King's was closer to where she was, and he was just outside of town near her. Eda's signature was a strange flashing yellow and orange beacon to her and was on the other side of Bonesborouw. From what she could feel, King's signature was slowly moving away from town while Eda's seamed fixed in place.

Having a heading, Luz got up and rushed in King's direction first.

Instead of falling to the street, Luz started roof hoping and wall run to cut time. While honing in on King, her thoughts were trying to drawback to the technique she seemed to acquire. Questions of how were frequent. Seeing the Force like that was not something that just comes to someone.

Reaching the last building, she jumped as high as possible and landed on the stone wall separating the town from nature. Seeing the road leading into the forest, she could feel King was close. It made her wonder why he was out here as it wasn't in the direction of the Owl House.

Luz jumped off the wall and followed the road, passing the odd stranger along the way.

Eventually, she came across the wheeled wagon being pulled by slugs...she wasn't going to question it. Most importantly, she could sense a distressed King inside. In the front was a small pink demon that could be mistaken for a Gamorrean piglet. Luz jumped in front of the wagon and raised her hand in a halting motion.

"Excuse me, sir. A moment of your time."

The wagon stops, and the little Gamorrean hops out. Getting closer, Luz could make out a black top hat and glass spectacles.

The little big looked at her as if he was examining her before he had a big smile. "Why, hello, my dear," the pink pig greeted. "What can I do for you?"

"I'm looking for some people." Luz eyed the little demon. "The first is the one called Grimm Hammer."

The pig smiled happily. "Why my dear, that is I!" He said with a bit of flair in his tone.

"You?" Luz said with much skepticism. This guy was not at all what Luz was expecting.

"Tibet-Tibblie Grimm hammer the Third, at your service! But please, call me Tibbles."

Luz just stared impassively at the pig demon. "Right... I'm looking for some friends that went missing last night. I was told they were referred to you yesterday."

"Oh, those two customers. I'm sorry, but I don't give out client information."

A small wave in the Force told Luz he was lying. Plus, she could sense King's presence, and he was very close by. Her hand slowly grips her lightsaber. "How did you know I was looking for two people?"

Tibbles looked proud of himself. "Who else would look for the Owl Lady than her human appearance?"

That set off alarm bells. "You know me?"

"My dear, you're famous. The only human in the Boiling Isles that could do Magic? Made the headlines." He proved it by grabbing a newspaper off the wagon and hands it to her. Taking it, she reads the headlines.

"Humans can use Magic! Were we wrong?"

Below the headline was a picture of her duel with Amity with an article under that depicting the event.

"Great, so much for keeping a low profile." Looking up from the paper. "Thanks for that. Now can you tell me why my friend is in so much distress?" She said before turning to the wagon.

The smile on Tibbles's face became more sinister. "You friend now belongs to me." he opens the back door to reveal King tied up in a birdcage. He sees Luz and starts screaming into the muzzle he has on his face.

Rage!

Before the son of a bastard Gamorean knew what happened. Tibbles head bounced on the ground and leaving his body behind.

The Jedi's lightsaber was out as Luz looked at the pig's rolling head with flashing yellow tint eyes.

Those blinked, and they were back to their old brown. Luz gasped in surprise and began to feel a deep cold fall on her. A cold that she was taught all her life to fight and be wary of.

"The Dark side...I..." Luz was trying desperately to wrangle in her emotions. The sound of a struggle tore my thoughts away to see a still imprisoned demon. "King!"

She opened his cage and freed him of his restraints. The little demon lunged into Luz's chest once the muzzle was off, surprising the Padawan as she started to cry.

"Luz! You came for me," He sobbed as he held onto her. The joy and love King was emitting hit the emotional Jedi like a warm summer day. This made the coldness of the Dark side fade away till it was a flick thing.

Luz carefully wrapped her arms around the little demon and return the hug. "I was worried. When you and Eda didn't come home last night...I'm just glad I found you when I did. Now, what happened? How did you get captured, and what happened to Eda?"

"Tibbles," King spitting at the name, "tried to swindle Eda for the elixir she needs. Then Eda made a poor bet with him in Hexs' hold'em that he won and took me as a prize. By that point, Eda couldn't use her Magic with her curse interfering and got her chained up. That pig locked me up when I tried to get Eda her elixir. Then the Emperor's Coven showed up and took her," he explained.

"That's not good. With Eda powerless, there's no doubt turned into her beast form by now. If so, then we need to grab some elixir before the situation gets any worse."

"How could this be any worse?" King asked. Luz just levels a glare at the demon.

"Trust me, King. Things can always get worse... Now, where can we find more elixir for Eda?"

"Tibbles had some in his supplies!" King hops in the wagon and returns a few moments later with a familiar orangey bottle.

"Well, that's a relief. Good job, King." Luz beams then she gives the wagon a curious look. "Now, what to do with all of this guy's stuff? I mean, I did...kill the guy." She glances at the headless owner.

"Yeah..." King does the same. "You, okay? Never seen you that angry before." He said, worrying for Luz.

The Jedi teen was silent before answering. "It's not the first life I've taken. And from how this world works, I don't doubt it will be my last if I can avoid it, but you are right. It was...different." A sigh left her lips. "You take this guy's stuff back to the house. I'll go break Eda out of whatever place they have her in. Then, we can talk about what I just did."

King didn't look satisfied with having to wait. "Alright, just both of you come home, please?"

Home...A warm feeling spread in her chest at the notion.

"Count on it," Luz responded.

Luz prepared King for his ride home and set him off. She also learned that Eda's staff wasn't among Tibbles's merchandise. Meaning that Owlbert was taken too and in need of rescuing. Once he was away, she turned and made her way back to town. Using the Force to guild her, tracked Eda to where she was being kept. Turned out to be a semi-familiar place.

"The Conformatorium." Luz eyed the prison with a critical eye. "Should have known they bring her here." It also looked like they updated their defenses as she spots recently built guard towers outside the moat's wall. Making getting out a bit more complicated.

"Okay, Luz. Prisons are designed to keep inmates in more than keep people out. That means nothing is perfect, so where's the imperfection?"

Taking a loose piece of fabric in her bag, Luz fashioned a mask to hide her identity. Throwing her hood up to increase her hidden status, she walked down where the prison perimeter met the street. The Jedi didn't get an entire layout of the prison the last time she was here, so she was unaware of any other dangers it had. Rounding the next side of the Conformatorium revealed the imperfection Luz was looking for.

The moat did not go all the way around the prison. One section of the wall was easily accessible from the street. With the wall's primary material being cobber stone, it could be easily climbable from the ground. The only problem she could see would be being spotted by a patrolling guardsman.

Hanging back and watching the perimeter, Luz made mental notes of the obstacles in front of her.

'Cobber stone wall looking around four stories tall. Two guard towers with one guard in each spaced roughly 100 meters apart. Perimeter patrols consist of two guardsmen and a white cloak member of the Emperor's Coven.' Luz listed off.

Seeing the opposition, she acted. Reaching out to the guardsmen in the towers, she reached their minds and used the Force to make them suggest to look away from the wall. When she saw their coned masks turned away and the portal already passed, she started her climb.

Force jumping the first twenty feet was easy. Grabbing the individual stones on the wall proved to be a slight inconvenience. Luz lost her footing when she held onto the wall and almost fell back to the ground. Replanting her feet along the wall, she jumped again and hooked on the wall's edge. Pulling herself up was the easiest thing about this break-in. Staying low, she moved to the nearest wall and hoped through the nearest window.

From where she was, it looked to be a hallway. Going left, she made her way to the cellblock. Luckily, there seemed to be no guards around. Entering the cellblock, she found the same one from which she freed that food romance writer and the eye-eating demon. This meant that the Contraband room was nearby and possibly Owlburt. Seeing it as a worthy target. Luz creeps toward it.

Like last time, it didn't take her long to reach the large room where Warden cut Eda's head off. The same magic shield as last time protected the items inside.

"Right, just like before." She went through it and sees the same piles of junk. Luz looked up and down the mound for Eda's staff. Not even a minute after the start of her search did she spots the wooden Owl. "There you are. Eda will be happy your alright," Luz says to the bird palisman. "Hmmm?"

Luz noticed a few straps of leather connected together. Picking them up revealed that it had an open-end sheath on one. Setting Owlbert down, she held the straps up with both hands to reveal that it was a harness of sorts. Looking at it and then at Owlbert gave Luz an idea that made her smile. Slipping the harness over her shoulders, she positioned the sheaf on her right shoulder and slid Owlbert in. Twisting her body around showed no discomfort to the wearer.

"Now I can freely use my hands while carrying you," Luz said to the Paliasman.

Exiting the magic barrier and leaving the Contraband room. Luz faced a new problem, "Now then, where's Eda?"

She then sees a guard walking around the corner. The guard was caught off guard when he sees the disguised human. He drew out a sword and approached her. "Hey, who are you?!"

Luz smiles under her mask. "Hello, good sir, I require directions to a certain person in this fine place."

One interrogation later.

"You have been most helpful, Billy. You deserve a break," Luz said before pulling the blaster out and stunning the guard. Keeping the blaster in hand, Luz moved on with her mission and needed to hurry. Eda was in the dungeon on a lower level and will soon be transferred to the Emperor's castle to be presented in front of the Emperor himself. She didn't know what that meant, but that didn't sound good at all.

As a Jedi, she was taught to respect the laws of the land and the governments that ruled them. A Jedi must trust the Force and seek other ways to resolve problems before resorting to violence. But with the Jedi Order pretty much gone, Eda took her in. Luz wasn't going to leave her friend to be condemned to whatever punishment that was going to befall her.

The teen Jedi shot down corridors and stunning guards as she went. The time for subtlety had passed.

Reach a big door with a padlock and chain on the handles, along with two guards at each door side. Stunning the guards and slashing the lock with her lightsaber, she entered the dungeon.

Entering the dungeon really showed how backwater the Boiling Isles are. Hanging hooks on chains, stockades, and other devices that looked painful to look at. She spotted Eda in her owl beast form chained to the ground. She struggled against them in an attempt to be free.

Seeing like this made Luz sad. "Eda?"

Her voice got the attention of the beast and snarled at her. Luz raised her hand to the beast to show she wasn't a threat which seemed to do a little good as Eda stopped growling.

"Okay, off to a good start," Luz said as she inched closer. Instinctively, Luz reached out and tried to find Eda's subconscious, trying to bring her out. It turned out to be quite tricky as it felt like there was more than one mind in Eda's head. Filing that bit of knowledge for later, she instead focuses on calming the beast down to the point that she could give Eda her elixir.

"Eda, it's me, Luz!" She got closer, doing her best to admit a wave of calm. It seemed to work as the beast calmed down further by lowering itself to the ground. Another step and she was now touching her.

When her hand connected against Eda's feathers, she found them very soft and a bit fluffy. Then she felt the intentions and the emotions of the owl beast.

"You are afraid. You want freedom. I sense this in the Force. Be still, and I shall grant it. All you need to do is open your mouth," Luz says to the owl beast.

The beast growls at her but does as she's told. Reaching into her pouch, she produces the elixir and pours it into Eda's mouth. The remedy works quickly as Eda's body shivers before shrinking, and the feathers fell off. Just a few moments of transformation, and Eda was back to normal.

"Ah, my head," Eda gripes.

"Good to see you back to your usual self."

Eda looks to see Luz and raises an eyebrow at her face wrap. "What's with disguise, Kid?" She asks, then notices her surroundings. "Where are we? Someone's basement?"

"The Conformatorium's dungeon," Luz answered.

"The Conformatorium?" Eda looked around in confusion, then sees the chains around her neck and wrists. The memory of last night's event surfaces in her head, making her facepalm. "Oh, Titan. I got caught."

"Yes, you did. And I'm breaking you out." Luz activated her lightsaber and cuts Eda's chains.

"Thanks..." Eda rubs her wrist in gratitude.

"Your welcome. Now let's get out of here before the guards swarm this place. I'm not too keen on taking any more lives today."

That caught Eda flatfooted as she stares in shock at the girl. "Luz..."

"It was Tibbles." Luz grabs Eda's staff and hands it to her, which Eda takes but gives a worried look to the teen.

"Damn. Not sad that pig is gone with what he did to us but wow, Luz. You wanna talk about it?" Eda offered.

Luz waves her off. "Later, let's get out of here and go home. It's been a long day."

Eda frowns at the lack of answers from the young girl but can hold back till they were out of there. The two move out of the dungeon, with Eda looking at all the stunned guards. All groaning as they laid out on the ground.

"Dang, kid, you went out all out on these guys, didn't yeah?" Eda whistle.

Luz smiled smugly back. "Told ya, they are going to need all of them against me." Her smile disappeared when she sensed someone ahead. She pulled out her blaster and aims it at down the hall.

Eda is confused by what Luz is doing with the strange crossbow in her hands. Then a guard comes around the corner, only to jump back in surprise when Luz shoots a blue spell circle at the guy, rendering him unconscious.

"What the hell!" Eda said. Looking at the thing Luz is holding. "What is that?"

"A weapon from where I'm from. It's on stun," Luz responded in a simple tone. She fires down the hallway at another guard that appears, stunning him too. "Can we leave already?"

Eda nodded and draws a big spell half the size of her body. A blast ushers out and destroys the wall near them, showing daylight and the way out. With nothing tieing them to the prison, they hoped on Owlbert and flew home.

The flight was uneventful and quiet as neither wanted to talk. Eda flew them home and soon spotted the Owl lady's home. As they flew within sight, Eda noticed a wagon parked upfront. When they landed, Hooty's door swung opened, and King running out to meet them.

"Eda!" The little demon cheered before rushing in to hug the older woman. "I'm so glad your back."

"Me too," Eda replied, smiling before breaking the embrace.

King then goes and goes to hug Luz. "I'm glad you're okay too."

The Jedi stills before kneeing down and hugging the little demon.

"Whelp, I don't know about you two, but I could go for a cup of apple blood and nap," Eda said with a yawn. She was about to turn away but noticed the Jedi shaking and heard sniffling. "Kid, you alright?"

She got her answer when Luz lifted her head up and see her red, teary-eyed face.

"No, Eda. . .I'm not."

Eda knelt by Luz's side and looked her over. "What's happening kid, did you get injured while coming to rescuing me?" A worry on Eda's face.

Luz shook her head. "No..." Luz responds. "At the conjuring...something happened to me that I can't explain."

The Owl Lady took note of Luz's behavior and helped the girl onto her feet. "Okay, kid. This seems important, let's take this inside, and you can tell us what happened."

They move to the Owl House living room where the three sat, Eda on the left and King on the right with Luz in between them. She told them how the conjuring went down, how they had everything set up by the book and ready to raze a doll. Instead of that, Luz ended up in a Force enhanced vision that sent her emotional barriers out the window. She describes the skeletal giant in detail, stunning the two Owl House residents.

"Whoa there. Hold up. Time out!" Eda stops Luz. "Are you saying you connected with the Titan, the same one the Isles are made from? Kid, you are bordering on the crazy coaster with this one."

"Yeah, Luz." Kind agreed. "Talking with the Titan? Your starting to sound like the Emperor. Besides, the Titan is dead." Luz shook her head.

"King, I'm Force-sensitive. I can SENSE and connect with the environment around me. I could connect with every aspect of life on a whole planet with the Force with enough training. Even speaking with the dead wouldn't hinder me."

"Whoa..." King said.

"But that takes years worth of training and meditation. I don't have that, but it sure feels like I'm only a few steps away from doing so."

"Okay, but what happened to you when you decapitated Tibbles?" King asked.

"You cut his head off?!" Eda said shockingly.

"One swipe," King confirmed. "As soon as she saw me, she wiped out her glowy sword and cut him down to a smaller size. Looking really scary and angry to the point your eyes changed color. I didn't know humans can do that."

The two noticed how quiet their human roommate had gotten and saw her downcast and hunted look. "Luz...?"

The girl looks at them with sadden and haunted look. "There are some things I'd failed to mention when I explained the things about the Jedi and the Force..."

Eda and King shared a glance before turning back at Luz. "What things?" Said Eda.

Luz took a calming breath before answering. "The Force, when accessed, can be a powerful tool to a Force user like myself. But like all things, it has its drawbacks when drawn upon from certain aspects of it. We, the Jedi, call these aspects simply, the Dark side and their users, Sith."

"Sith?" King inquires.

"The opposite of what Jedi are. The Jedi thrive on peace and serve the light while the Sith are users of the Dark Side and push to create war and conflict."

Eda's serious face then deadpans at Luz. "The Dark Side...really?"

A look of irritation crosses Luz's features. "I didn't name them. I was just taught it how it is." Luz calmed down before continuing. "Jedi like me are taught to follow the light side of the Force. To be peacekeepers, councilors, and negotiators."

"Boring," King summarized with one word that Eda nodded with.

"Agreed. Sounds like you guys were trained to be a better goody two shoe version of the Emperor's Coven. Where are you going with this, Luz?"

The Padawan looked down at King with sorrowful eyes. "When I saw you King strapped and muzzled, I felt angry. Truly angry. So much so that the Dark Side brushed up against me and I acted out of instinct."

"So this Dark Side stuff made you act?" Luz nodded.

"The light focuses on serenity and peace, while the dark influence using fear and anger. With me wanting to free King, the Dark side saw an opening and fueled my anger directed at Tibbles. Before I knew what I did. His head was rolling along the ground."

"And the eye-changing thing?" King asked.

"A side-effect from using the Dark side." Luz folded her arms across her chest. "The masters...they..." The girl started to tremble. Eda put her hand on Luz's back to help coax whatever the girl needed to say. The gesture was not required but greatly appreciated. "They said that once someone starts using the Dark Side, it changes them...corrupts them to become something they're not."

"And your afraid that using it once will start changing you into what? A power-hungry tyrant," Eda says before shaking her head. "Well, that's a load of pigfly filth." She declared.

"Eda-"

"Nope." Eda cuts Luz off. "Kid, what your saying makes' so little sense to me. So let me impart on you what does make sense. Choice..."

"Choice?" Luz said confusedly. Which increased when Eda gets up and points her finger into Luz's face.

"Wasn't it you that decided to help that girl at Hexside into the Plant track?"

Luz blinked owlishly before nodding.

"Then didn't you choose to challenge Miss Perfect at the Coven Convention and beat her?

Luz nodded again.

"Did you ask for to be hunted by those you fought beside in your war?"

Luz flinched at the memories of the clone's betrayal. She shook her head.

"That's right, Luz. We are the masters of our fate. We decide on what we choose to do with our lives. Did I decide not to join a coven? Yes, I did. Did I choose to be cursed like I am now? NO! Someone else did it for me!" Eda placed herself in front of Luz and grabbing Luz by her shoulders. A soft smile on her face. "Did I choose you as my apprentice and accepting you into my home? I did and don't regret it doing so."

"Eda..." Luz was getting teary-eyed again.

"Luz, in the short time you've been here with us. Helping everyone around you. I refuse to believe such stupid crap...You're too good of a kid to be a villain."

Luz just stares at the woman before rushing into another hug. Eda stiffens before relaxing into the embrace.

"You got people that care for you now. So every time you think you're falling, remember them, Luz."

The wise words echoed in the Jedi's head. Making her nod.

After they broke the hug, the Owl House residents split off to bed. For each had both an eventful night and day.

In her room, Luz sat cross-legged on her sleeping bag and stared at her lightsaber in hand. A pull in the Force drew her attention to the other two in her possession and the Holocron sitting nearby. A noise rang from them as if they were trying to say something. In her mind, one word became the forefront of the song-like sounds.
