Two Days Later

THE BENATAR races through space. TONY STARK and NEBULA tap at the holo screens that surround them.

"Did you double-check the readings?" Tony asks his voice sharp. Tony didn't add any quips, no easy smile to let Nebula know that everything was okay. His eyes were stern.

"I'm not stupid, Stark, I've tripled checked the readings, the energy source is the same as the one we experience when he accomplished his goal." Nebula replied sliding the holo screen in front of Tony. He didn't pay it no mind, his main objective, if Nebula's readings were true, was to be ready for their upcoming rematch and that meant better preparing the armor. It made him bleed last time, Tony thought, this time it's going to take his life.

Nebula crosses her arms expecting Tony to look but as the seconds ticked by, she became annoyed. She growled. "Listen rust bucket, we don't have time for you to fix your toys, we need a plan because now, my father's a God."

"I know." Tony said, I just lost one of my best friends back there, and then..." Tony's shoulders sagged as he thought of Peter turning to dust in his arms. His fist clenched. "I went after Thanos halfcocked, this time I'm bringing my team." He said before lifting up his helmet. "Friday begin communication with Avengers Headquarters.

Captain America looks up at the screen as it shows a dozen different heroes. "This is the updated tally of missing superheroes." Bruce Banner in his normal civilian clothes looks at his own screen.

"Any word from the Fantastic Four or even the X-men?" Cap asks.

Bruce shakes his head. "No, maybe they were off planet when it happened?"

Black Widow is in the background trying to reach Clint Barton on his cellphone. She needed good news and if he was gone, then she might...

A cracking of thunder interrupted her darkening thoughts as Thor came flying in. His beard had become untamed. Not that she could talk every hero left was working overtime and grooming and self-care had taken a backseat, not that there wasn't grooming when you've been on the run for the past year.

"Thor, status report, did you discover what that shaking was?" Captain America asked. For the past forty-eight hours, the avengers had been responding to one crisis after another.

Thor grips his hammer until his knuckles were white and can hear his knuckles crack.

"I followed the source to the Atlantic Ocean where I discovered a magnificent sight of new isles rising from the ocean, but their birth had created a wave so massive... I didn't get there quickly enough. Half of Atlanta city is gone to the water." Thor growled.

"What the hell can be causing this?" demanded Captain America.

"From what I was able to gather." stated Rocket, "It might be ripple effects from when Thanos snapped half the world away."

"What could that mean? for earth?" Natasha asks not at all phased by the sight of a talking raccoon anymore.

Rocket shrugs, "I mean there's not much knowledge or info about the infinity gems out there and practically nothing when it comes to what happens when you use all six in unison."

"Hey cap, I'm getting something from our long-distance communications," Bruce calls out.

"Is it Captain Marvel?" Steve asks.

Bruce shakes his head. "No... it's Tony."

"He's alive," Cap says with relief. "Thank God for small miracles."

"Play Stark's message," Thor says.

"Who's this Tony guy?" Rocket asks.

The voice recording comes through.

"Avengers, Steve, I know we had our differences but if you probably don't know there's a big bad purple son of bitch who has some magic stones that just wiped out half the universe. " Tony's voice comes from Bruce's computer.

"No shit," Natasha smirks.

"Good news, the energy created is so freaking unique and travels in a very traceable wave that I know where he is." Tony continues.

"That is who Mr. Stark is Rocket." Thor answers.

Rocket crosses his arms, "I would've figured that out eventually."

"Good job, Tony." Cap says before looking at Bruce, "you got the coordinates?" Bruce nods as he types in the numbers, and a small green planet pops up on the screen.

Tony's message continues, "We need everyone, Steve, the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Inhumans, the freaking defenders, and shield. then we're gonna pound the purple bitch into the ground. "

"Aye." agreed Thor.

"I've already calculated the distance, and I should see you guys there in two days' time. See you soon but one last thing..."

"... Eddie's...Eddie's dead. And Spider-man has been dusted." Tony. "We- We have to avenge them."

The message goes dark. Steve stumbles back. Damn it. He hoped Eddie was still alive but now two of his best friends from the war were gone. Steve had to grit his teeth in order to stop the tears. He wasn't going to lose anyone else.

"Put the call out to all paranormal that we're going to end this" Cap says.

Her name is Carol Danvers she goes by the moniker Captain Marvel and for the past two days, she's been following an armada of Kree Ships.

"Danvers! cease your following or we will open fire!" comes the signal from a Kree Fighter flying behind her. She groans. She was secretly hoping to avoid a fight. Three days ago her yellow aura that represented her powers had been flickering, and the color had become dull almost looking greyer than the fabulous gold.

She slowed her flight to face the Kree fighter. "Where are you guys heading?"

"You're no longer a member of the Kree empire, retreat or be destroyed."

She sighed; it was like Kree pride made them stupid. It was barely a few years ago she and the Avengers had kicked their asses across the solar system. But with her powers, as wired as they were now maybe it be more of a fight than last time.

"Enough!" came a deep voice.

"Marvel is no enemy." Continues the voice from the hologram projection of Ronan the Accuser. After Iron man killed the Supreme Intelligence, Ronan had become the de facto leader of the Kree Empire, to the chagrin of Kree nobles and military, that an accuser was to lead them. As far as Carol was concerned, he was doing an excellent job.

"Join us in our crusade Captain Marvel." Said Ronan, even through the projection she could feel the intensity of his gaze.

"Join you in what?" Carol asked nervously as her powers flickered again and lost her breath.

"Joining the alliance in fighting a God," Ronan said.

With her cosmic sense she finally noticed a thousand miles away in a converging trajectory was a Skrull Armada, and above that was the Shi'ar armada. half a light year behind the Kree armada was the Spartax fleet. There was more converging to one spot; a light year ahead was a small green planet. What could unite the biggest enemies and empires of the galaxy thought Carol Danvers.
