Journal Entry 03

The Elders told me no.

Again.

I had to watch from the sidelines.

Again.

This time, there were shapeshifters that moved in across the street. They were disguised as neighbors. There were three of them. When the girls had left to attend a party, one of the shapeshifters went to the house. The shapeshifters were after the Book of Shadows. Prue had left the party early and went home. The shapeshifter confronted her as a dog. It chased her out of the house. Once the shapeshifter had left, the girls were safe.

The shapeshifters were crafty creatures. They were trying all sorts of things to get into the house and get the book. They wanted their power. The shapeshifters had even recruited their father. I was furious. Their father showed up at Prue's work and revealed himself. Their father, Victor, showed her a ring. It was a protection ring. That's how Prue knew who he was. I felt bad for Prue. She was so upset. I wanted to protect the girls from this. This wasn't right. The girls had a chat about what to do.

Piper and Phoebe wanted to know their father, but Prue was cautious. She was protective. I was glad. However, Phoebe was too curious. She went to see her father at the hotel. The Elders gave her a premonition about the shapeshifters, but it wasn't too clear. The shapeshifters disguised themselves as her father and in the premonition, her father had the Book of Shadows in his hands. I felt bad for Phoebe. She wanted to know him so badly.

Phoebe ran out of the hotel room and left. Meanwhile, the girls weren't home and the shapeshifter attacked again. This time under the guise of a mailman. The shapeshifter was able to use their powers and unlock the house. The shapeshifter went straight upstairs for the book. He blasted the door open and took the book in his arms. Thankfully, the book protects itself. It never left the house.

Prue came home and interrupted the shapeshifter. The shapeshifter turned into Andy, who Prue trusted deeply. She felt safe around him. The female shapeshifter checked in on her shapeshifter friend. Prue was surrounded, but thankfully they both had left. Prue went to put the book away and noticed the blasted door. She felt unsafe. Phoebe and Piper came home. The girls talked about what happened.

Piper realized that it was someone who knew them and knew about their powers. Prue thought it was their father. Piper defended their father and Phoebe remembered the premonition that she had earlier today about their father. I wish I could tell her it was meant to be about the shapeshifter. I was told to look after my other charges. I looked after my other charges and checked in on the girls.

Piper and Phoebe went to visit their father at dinner.

The girls were anxious. They wanted to know why he was there. Why now? Their father was trying to be a good father and showered them with food. I didn't like it. At the house, the real Andy showed up. He checked on Prue. The two of them had a chat about her father. It wasn't pleasant and I don't blame Prue for feeling that way about her father. Her father had left for twenty years and all of a sudden, he came back into her life?

Andy dropped her off at the restaurant. Prue was furious. She found her sisters and her father in an expensive restaurant. She wanted to know why he hadn't helped when Grams had passed away. Prue remembered his back when he walked out on them. She didn't want him anywhere near her sisters and I didn't blame her for that. She had a good point. Then their father had triggered their powers in public. This time I was furious.

Thankfully, the girls had adapted quickly to their powers. Piper reacted just in time, but their father figured it out. Victor accused them of their powers and left the restaurant with them. They all went home. The shapeshifters were at the house pretending to be the girls. One of them, named Fritz, had warned the others about everyone returning home.

The female, Cynda, had wanted to kill the girls!

Marshall and Fritz convinced her that it wasn't time yet. They shapeshifted into birds and left the house when everyone returned home. Prue thought that the birds entered the house through a window. The girls had no idea about the shapeshifters. The girls and their father were safe for now. Phoebe wanted to talk about being a witch.

Victor told the girls that he came back to see if they had powers. To see if they were activated as witches. He asked about how it happened and then he asked about the book. The girls were cautious and freaked out. Victor wanted to see the book. The girls said no. Victor wanted to take the book away from them. He didn't want them to become witches. Victor wanted them to be normal girls. I wanted to orb down there. He was crossing a line.

Prue threw him across the room. I was highly surprised at her actions. Victor left the house. The girls were all upset at each other. Victor went back to the hotel and was ambushed by the shapeshifters. They threatened him. He told them that he was still useful. Victor wanted them to have the Book of Shadows. He didn't want his girls to have it. He wanted his girls to be human. Completely human.

The next morning, Phoebe told the girls about her premonition. She told Prue that she was right about their father. She wanted the premonition to be false. The premonition had more to say. She just didn't know it yet. The girls found the ring at the house and kept it safe. The Elders and I gave Victor the courage to go back. He needed to talk to the girls. The Elders gave Phoebe another premonition. The premonition showed her what really happened.

It was the shapeshifters that wanted the book. The shapeshifters from across the street tried to be concerned neighbors, but Phoebe knew the truth now. Phoebe had time to tell Prue the truth, but not Piper. Victor walked back into the house. Phoebe went to check the book for help. She had no idea what to look for. Grams turned the pages of the book and showed her a banishing spell. The shapeshifters turned into Victor and there were two of them.

Piper was freaked out. The shapeshifter was impersonating their father. Their father wanted to sacrifice himself. Prue gave the real Victor the protection ring. Phoebe said the spell. It was affecting everyone, including their father. Thankfully, the ring protected him. Then Piper and Prue joined in on the spell and the shapeshifters were vanquished. Victor was surprised at how grown up they were.

I was happy that they all got along. Prue, Piper, and Phoebe seemed to feel better about their dad. Victor was going to have dinner with them, but he had to suddenly leave. He left behind a video that he cherished. I was finally able to orb down and reveal myself. I introduced myself and gave them the video. I was their hired handyman. I was pleased that the Elders finally let me help them. Now, they had extra help. Just in case.

The girls watched the video and felt peace.
