Hello everyone, KaleidoMirror is back once again! It's been a long week, but I'm glad to see that our prologue has been well-received, and I'm excited to be part of this new story. That's why I've decided to release this chapter, which will leave you with more questions than answers. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did working on some things. I would be more than happy to hear what you think about this story: your comments, favorites, and follows motivate me to put my best effort into it.

In this case, I decided to split the previously published Chapter 2 into two parts, which have already been modified and adjusted. By the way, all my other works are up to date, except for the Tokyo Ghoul Crossover because I'm looking for the original files. Due to certain issues, I posted a version that wasn't the final one, so I'm providing you with the V2 version.

With that said, I present to you the latest update. Without further ado, see you next time...

In the desolate wasteland, on the icy borders of Solitas' tundra, where cutting winds and perpetual snow kept intruders at bay, the vastness of the landscape stretched as far as the eye could see. A white canvas concealed secrets in the shadows, and only the whisper of the frigid breeze broke the silence.

However, in a strange coexistence, a mountain range near the taiga provided a haven for expansive evergreen forests. The trees, standing tall and snow-covered, rose like sentinels over the desolate landscape, their branches adorned with frost like frozen jewels.

On that day, a mysterious region became completely silent and shrouded in thick fog. The place turned inhospitable, but two figures emerged from the very essence of the mist. The dense haze enveloped them, giving them an ethereal air.

"At first, it was weak."

The light was so intense that I couldn't discern what was happening around me. Everything was so dazzling that it prevented me from orienting myself. I was completely lost. The feeling of helplessness permeated my body, but at some point, something changed.

Like a rewind, my consciousness returned gradually; my senses awakened. Warmth spread within me, allowing me to breathe more freely. When I regained vision, I found myself in a different landscape, amidst icy hills and towering trees, in the midst of the mysterious night.

"But..."

I wasn't alone. It was difficult to explain, but I felt it deeply. Miyu, my little sister, was by my side, looking around with the same disbelief I felt. But deep in our hearts, the only thing that mattered was that we were together, in a place of which we knew not what to expect.

I wished to ignore the pain coursing through me as I tried to control my breathing. Courage clashed with the frigid currents of the weather.

It was as if the veil from my eyes lifted, allowing me to be aware of us. Both of us were injured and disoriented, but I noticed that Miyu's condition was better. Her face revealed concern for me. I set aside secondary thoughts, focusing only on her safety. My instincts were immediate; I gently embraced her in a silent hug, where both of us could barely contain our amazement and joy at being reunited. Our embrace was a form of support as our gazes marveled at the unknown surroundings surrounding us.

Miyu shivered in the frigid wind that enveloped her, initially scared but managing to conquer that fear by becoming aware of her surroundings. A sense of security embraced her when she found Shirou by her side. He silently observed her, enveloping her in a fraternal hug, a form of protection amid the chaos.

He shifted his attention to both, noting the differences in their wounds: minor cuts, small bruises, and various lacerations marked the luck they had in the catastrophe.

As Miyu assessed her injuries, she slid her right hand over the least pronounced cut on her left arm. Although it wasn't bleeding, the pain upon touch made her release a small whimper, immediately caught by Shirou.

"Do you still feel pain, Miyu?"

The expression on Shirou's face made her bite her lower lip and look away. However, she found comfort again in her brother's arms, who sought her to share her thoughts.

"You don't have to keep it all to yourself; I'm here for you."

Miyu stayed silent but allowed her body to lean more on Shirou, trembling slightly from the cold. She chose not to express her thoughts verbally, hoping that her actions would be enough to comfort her brother. She felt overwhelmed, aware that the wounds they shared were tangible witnesses of everything they had lived through. Their world, as they knew it, had disappeared. Although it was all over, they now faced undeniable trials. However, they had survived all previous battles and had desperately strived to save each other.

Immersed in her thoughts, Miyu didn't notice her own movements. Her embrace of Shirou began gently but intensified in an attempt to seek comfort. The concern in her brother's eyes grew. Both were assimilating their current situation, a miracle amid the blizzard. Unable to exchange a sincere smile, they couldn't fully express the mix of joy and concern they shared as they looked at each other again.

"Miyu, are you okay to move?" Shirou's voice, full of desperation, took her by surprise. He gently moved her to examine her wounds more deeply.

"Yes, I feel a bit numbness in my left arm, but it's temporary. Walking is a bit tricky, but I can manage. More importantly..." Taking Shirou's hands, she closed the gap between them. "Where are we? What happened?"

Both explored their surroundings in silence, only receiving the echo of vegetation. Miyu, lost in the whiteness of the snow, let her thoughts wander. Despite a lingering unease, she sighed before focusing on the situation. Her greatest wish had come true; her brother was with her. The person she valued the most kept her comforted.

The shining knight in armor had saved her once again. In his golden eyes, she noticed concern for her well-being. She wanted to reciprocate that feeling, offer protection to her brother, but didn't know how. In the end, she thought of everything Shirou had done for her. They had been through a lot together, but nothing compared to what he had faced during their rescue.

Unable to contain herself, she expressed with actions what words couldn't communicate. She surprised Shirou with a warm hug, trying to infuse comfort and hope amid uncertainty. Among the warm tears welling from her eyes, fear and relief mixed with the cold wind.

"Honestly, Miyu, I don't know what happened to us or why we're injured, but..." Shirou's intense gaze didn't waver in the face of Miyu's comforted expression. "I thank God that we're still together." He tilted his head, coming face to face. His tender voice expressed the desire to assure her that everything would be okay. "No matter where we are, as long as we're together, we can overcome it. I promise I'll never lose you again." He tried to smile, attempting to lighten the mood.

"I know." Miyu tried to hold back, her tears not allowing her to fully open her eyes, but her smile emerged slowly. "You're my irreplaceable brother, but that's why I trust you, Shirou." She felt her brother's hand stroking her hair, trying to control the tears, as if wanting to make sure they weren't trapped in a fleeting dream. They exchanged looks filled with gratitude and love. Finally, Miyu's smile, despite the tears, was what Shirou Emiya needed to feel, if only for a moment, that everything around them was illuminated despite the cold desert that surrounded them.

The surroundings remained frozen in time. Twisted trees, covered in snow, leaned like silent guardians over the encounter. Their branches, dressed in white, reached towards the starry sky like skeletons sculpted by the cold. Snowflakes fell gently, settling like a comforting blanket, covering footprints and pains in a frigid embrace.

But everything changed when they stood up and gazed at the starry sky. The celestial vault defied logic, as if they were in a place foreign to their previous world. It was hard to explain, but something was different, something was terribly out of place. The moon rising on the horizon was not the same moon they knew.

Shirou looked into the void for a moment before making sure it wasn't a poorly conceived joke. But there was also the possibility that his vision was playing tricks on him. He looked up again, and his eyes widened in surprise; now, the feelings of fear and disbelief were absurd.

"Miyu, are you seeing the same thing I am?" His trembling voice paused as he tried to control shivers not caused by the cold. "Could it be... that... that... moon... is broken?" Multiple thoughts crossed his mind, and he vigorously shook his head in an attempt to deny it.

"That... that," Miyu's shock was evident on her panicked face, "can't be," her internal thoughts were chaotic as she tried to focus on the strangeness of what she saw.

Both siblings breathlessly gazed at the full moon shining high in the sky. Unlike its "normalcy," this nighttime celestial body was partially shattered, with several fragments orbiting around it.

"This... this is... impossible!" all the unease Shirou had felt so far collided with the "reality they knew," hitting him deeply.

It was unconscious, but both fell into a moment of sepulchral silence, staring at the strange celestial phenomenon without looking away. Fear began to take hold of them, a fear that went beyond the unknown. From the beginning, they had felt something strange, decided to ignore that premonition, without delving too much into their state. But again, those questions they had ignored so much resurfaced with relentless force. They didn't know where they were or how they had arrived, but the evidence before their eyes suggested what they had denied so vehemently. They were not in their original world, reinforcing the possibility that their world had been completely destroyed, and there was no possibility of return; everything they knew had ended.

"This can't be happening!" exclaimed Shirou in a fit as he struggled to get up, "This is not our world. Something has gone terribly wrong, terribly wrong!" He clenched his fists tightly in an attempt to maintain the little composure he had left. His thoughts were a complete mess, but he let out a deep sigh with difficulty before forcing himself to physically show the determination Miyu needed; he didn't want to worry her more with his actions.

But none of that mattered. Miyu was equally shocked by the revelation, making little or no effort to deny it. "No... no... I don't understand how all this happened," her murmurs were barely audible, but her breath quickened as she struggled to keep her emotions under control, "But we can't deny it anymore," she struggled to assimilate her own words, letting the full weight of the impact seem more real. "It seems that both of us are in a completely different place than we know." Shirou nodded sadly at his sister's words but was aware of Miyu's trembling voice as she swallowed hard.

Fear and uncertainty reflected on their faces as they realized the magnitude of the situation. They were trapped in an unknown world, with a shattered moon that exploded in their faces, forcefully engraving in their minds its unsettling and new "reality," a situation over which they had little control.

It took a few minutes, but neither said a word. Both tried to face their own emotions in their own way until finally, Shirou averted his gaze from the celestial body with ambivalent feelings in his heart and looked at Miyu, whose gaze was lost in her thoughts.

"We must stay calm," he took soft steps until he stood in front of his younger sister, "We don't know how we got here or why, but..." He bent down to be at her eye level, "What we must focus on now is finding a way to adapt and survive; we need to get out of this forest," he tried to change the atmosphere between them, in the only way he could think of: placing his hand on Miyu's hair and gently stroking it, as a way to confirm his own determination.

His words seemed to have an effect, but Miyu's shaky posture made her seem smaller than she actually was. "I don't know how we should move forward," her voice was weak, but her gaze did not waver from her brother's, "But... we can't give up. We might be trapped and directionless," she took a few moments, and courage in her tone increased, "But we are fortunate to be together. There is always a way forward," unknowingly taking a step forward, narrowing the distance between them.

"I know what you must be thinking, but there's no need to pretend," murmured Shirou, holding Miyu's left hand gently. As he observed her, he noticed that the stiffness had disappeared. "I am also scared by everything that has happened to us. I have as many questions as you, but..." His gaze met the range of conflicting emotions in his younger sister's eyes, and he did not look away. "I can see that you are also scared, but I can feel a very special warmth still beating because you are my last hope, Miyu."

"But... but... I still don't know what I can do," Miyu's small laments melted Shirou's heart, who closed the distance until he had her in his arms again.

"I'm sorry I didn't realize it until now," confessed Shirou, feeling the corresponding gesture from his little sister.

"I'm still so small," lowering her gaze, Miyu watched as the snow gently accumulated on her clothes.

"That's a bad habit of yours," Shirou responded with a touch of guilt, gently denying it. "You always tend to keep your hands together when you lie or put too much pressure on yourself," he observed Miyu's astonished face and continued, "Maybe you wonder, 'How did I know that?'" Miyu asked with her eyes while Shirou nervously raised a hand, scratching his neck with some shyness before answering, "That's obvious; we're family."

Those words, simple for some, had a unique and irreplaceable meaning in Miyu's heart. Shirou's direct and firm voice was all she needed to feel comfortable and appreciated. Not anyone could say that to her, only Shirou Emiya, the only living member of her family, was able to evoke unique and irreplaceable feelings with those words. As if by magic, her expression softened, revealing a genuine and sincere smile that emerged as she looked at Shirou with brotherly love.

The thoughts she had about herself before they met were that she would be alone, hidden in that room isolated from the world she always longed to see, thinking that was her fate since the day she lost her mother. Her gaze never wavered. "But... from the day I was saved by you, I felt that something changed deeply," her tone deepened, trying to convey her emotions.

"I was fortunate to have been taken in by Kiritsugu in the Emiya residence. I didn't know what awaited me there, but I didn't care because you were there. I couldn't help but follow you from a distance, watching your actions with curiosity," finding the answer she needed.

"But, above all, my thoughts were filled with a feeling I hadn't felt in a long time... 'love for family.' You, Shirou, taught me that my life could turn again since I lost my mother, towards a new direction. It may not mean much, but I want you to know that it was you who guided me and saved me that time I decided not to give up and learn more about our world." Her little hands ended up clasped in a kind of prayer. "All because you were always by my side."

Looking at Miyu in the midst of the blizzard, surrounded by falling snow, created a scene that seemed so familiar but, at the same time, evoked a new feeling. Despite her small size, her words loaded with innocence and honesty resonated in his heart like crystal bells.

It was in the midst of this reflection that Shirou noticed the growth of his younger sister. That initial problem was now a thing of the past. During the first interactions with Miyu, she was little more than a doll, with simple and mechanical expressions, devoid of her own decision. Now, he looked at her in a new light; the Miyu in front of him was so different, so full of life and conviction, that he couldn't help but feel proud as her older brother.

"I am your older brother, Miyu, I am here with you to protect you," Shirou's words resonated with conviction. "I promise that I will always be here for you," he let out a sigh, showing a gentle look. "Do you remember when we used to play with the temari in the hallways every morning after enjoying our breakfast, or when we used to enjoy summer evenings eating watermelons, or when we shared stories before going to sleep?"

"Shirou..." Miyu's expression blushed at bringing up those memories. "It's so unfair that you talk about that now," her puffed-up cheeks pouting did not go unnoticed.

"It's necessary because, just as in the past, we've shared great moments, we can also do it now, trusting each other to overcome this together." Passing his hand through Miyu's hair, she responded with a gesture of reassurance.

"But..." Miyu's gaze lifted, finding Shirou's smile. "I'm still afraid of all this, the fear of having so many questions about this situation we're in, I feel desolation for all the uncertainty, for not knowing what awaits us now." Taking a few seconds to compose herself, she continued, "But you're right, despite all the adversities, we still have hope to take the first step, no matter where we are."

"I'm glad to know that my little sister has grown so much," the emotion in Shirou's statement caused Miyu to convey her gratitude through her gaze. "But for now, let's get organized. We don't know where we are, so we need to move before we lose our advantage."

Shirou observed how Miyu showed signs of hypothermia, so he offered her the remnants of his coat, which she refused. However, Shirou's insistence and gaze did not allow any form of refusal.

"Sometimes I feel like you abuse your authority, Shirou," inflating her cheeks but blushing due to the warmth she felt, she clung tighter to the clothing.

"That's the privilege of the older brother," Shirou's triumphant smile only caused Miyu to ease her stress, letting out a small smile that infected the atmosphere with a small drop of happiness in the midst of the icy landscape.

Both siblings found themselves smiling with a new determination in their hearts. By sharing those words, their bond became even stronger in adversity, trusting each other to face the unknown. Holding hands again, they continued their journey into the darkness of the night, facing an uncertain future with unwavering resolve.

On one hand, both carried several wounds and had faced numerous difficulties, but deep down, they knew they were united by something stronger than fate: a brotherly love that transcended the limits of time and space.

On the other hand, the wind howled loudly, but at that moment, it couldn't compete with the beats of their hearts. The world, with all its cruelty and desolation, seemed to have stopped to make way for this miraculous reunion.

Their joy and happiness at being together again illuminated even the darkest corner of this new world, turning the icy and desolate forest into a new beginning for their lives.

The sun began to rise on the horizon, casting long, blurred shadows over the snowy forest floor. The trees, covered in snow, creaked under the pressure of the icy wind that blew through their bare branches. In the midst of this winter landscape, the Emiya siblings continued their journey, facing the challenges of an unknown world.

The atmosphere was charged with a tension that went beyond the simple cold. Every step resonated in the silence of the forest, and the tracks they left in the fresh snow marked their uncertain path. Wounded and disoriented, Miyu and Shirou pressed on with determination, their faces marked by struggle and uncertainty.

The penetrating cold had taken over the environment, enveloping the siblings in a freezing sensation that challenged even their family bonds. Miyu, with slightly blue lips, clung to her brother's coat as if it were her only barrier against the hostile nature. Shirou, with a steadfast gaze, led the march, aware of the importance of keeping moving to face the rigor of the weather.

"It's so cold. I don't know how much longer we can endure this," Miyu expressed, her breath forming small vapor clouds in the icy air. She looked at her brother with concern, seeking comfort amid adversity.

"I know," responded Shirou empathetically, adjusting his clothes to protect against the cutting wind. "We must keep moving; that will help us stay warm. If the weather worsens, we'll change the plan and focus on finding shelter. We can't stay here any longer."

Miyu nodded, approaching her brother for warmth. The contact between them, though temporary, offered a respite from the relentless cold. Together, they explored the surroundings for signs of life or any hint of shelter. However, the beauty of the landscape couldn't dispel the unsettling feeling that surrounded them.

"Despite how beautiful this place may be, I also sense something that keeps me on edge," Miyu shared, carefully picking up a small fern from the snowy ground. Her voice resonated with unease. "It's strange, but I can feel it closer, I feel chills, and it's not because of the cold. We must take precautions; we don't know what dangers may lurk in these unfamiliar lands."

Shirou nodded, sharing his sister's concern. "I can feel it too, Miyu. That's why we must double our efforts and proceed with caution. We don't know what awaits us deep in this forest." He shook his head, trying to dispel worrisome thoughts.

The two siblings had covered a considerable distance in their attempt to keep moving, but soon decided to take a brief break to regain strength and conserve energy. They sought refuge among the dense vegetation, exchanging glances as the tension of the journey momentarily faded. Shirou noticed the doubtful expression on Miyu's face.

"I think it's time you let your big brother play the big brother role," Shirou said with a smile, offering to carry Miyu on his back.

"I can still go on," Miyu expressed softly but loud enough for Shirou to hear.

"I know," argued Shirou, but he refused to give in. "I just want you to understand that it will get more dangerous the longer we delay our march. Besides, it allows your brother to show off a bit, don't you think?"

Miyu tried to resist at first but finally reluctantly agreed. "Fine, I'll do it. But you owe me later," she joked, although to Shirou, her actions were utterly adorable, and Miyu couldn't hide her thoughts about him.

Shirou carried his sister on his back, and together they continued their cautious journey. As they moved, he reflected on the options they had and assessed their situation. He knew they had to be careful, as they were wounded and tired, and the cold was not on their side.

However, the appearance of unknown creatures in their path made them stop. The grotesque figures moved with intelligence and cohesion towards a nearby clearing. The tension in the air became even more palpable.

"What are those things? I've never seen creatures like that before," Miyu tightly gripped Shirou's shoulders for protection. Her actions, though involuntary, revealed an instinct for self-preservation and survival, indicating they needed to retreat immediately.

"I'm not sure, but we must stay away from them. We don't know what they are or what their capabilities are. Besides, we're injured and not in a condition to face something like that."

Miyu felt the half-truth in Shirou's words but decided not to press further. She, more than anyone, was aware of the fatigue that had accumulated in her body after the battle with Darius. During the time she was on Shirou's back, that fact became more noticeable. She could see how her brother contemplated his options, unsure of how to help him in this situation.

On his part, Shirou realized the current state of his body; the internal wounds from which he had not fully recovered after his battle still weighed heavily on him. Additionally, his mana levels were extremely low. Of course, he could force a mana conversion within his body as a last resort, but he was thinking about how to protect Miyu after suffering the consequences of his suicidal act. He couldn't afford to appear exhausted, so he pressed his lips and encouraged himself not to show any vulnerability that could affect Miyu.

"But..." Miyu began before Shirou gently interrupted her.

"If necessary, we'll fight together, Miyu. We are part of the Emiya family, which means we won't back down from any unknown creature. But for now, we must be cautious and avoid unnecessary conflicts," he added as they continued on a safer path. "We must stay safe; our main goal is to survive," Shirou continued, keeping an eye on their surroundings as they took a safer route, trusting his strangely enhanced sense of smell. Despite his warning, Shirou firmly held a moderately thick branch as an improvised weapon in his right hand.

"I understand; our safety comes first. But we also need to learn more about this world. How are we going to do that without exploring?" Miyu couldn't help but point out the middle ground, holding a couple of small rocks as improvised weapons, filling her pockets with some more as reserves.

"We have to be patient. We can still figure this out."

Miyu smiled and nodded, accepting her brother's decision. Despite the difficulties they faced, her confidence was not unfounded; she believed their bond would propel them forward, in her thoughts she couldn't help but think, 'Shirou hasn't changed at all, they were still her hero', "We just need to take our first step, right?"

"We're a couple of oddballs, aren't we?" Shirou chuckled softly at Miyu's response.

"That would be a terrible fate," Miyu responded with a soft and conspiratorial laugh.

Both Emiya siblings shared a moment of lightness amid the uncertainty and tension surrounding them. They clung to hope and the determination to face challenges together, no matter what this new world had in store for them.

In the depths of their souls, the Emiya siblings were aware that they found themselves in the midst of a world that seemed to have materialized directly from a nightmare. They were facing the overwhelming reality of being the sole survivors of their world—a reality that tested their strength and forced them to confront not only the disappearance of their previous reality but also the complete redirection of their lives.

For Miyu, this experience translated into a complex and profound psychological burden. She felt the weight of what she believed she had caused in Shirou: the abandonment of his ideals for her safety. This sense of guilt became a heavy emotional burden that haunted her, leading her to question her own identity and her place in her brother's life.

For her, the fact that Shirou had sacrificed his values for her well-being made her feel responsible for changing him. She believed that, in protecting her, she had been the cause of him sacrificing his own essence and deviating from his original path. This responsibility clung to her heart as an emotional burden, and her self-esteem was undermined by the belief that she was to blame for negatively altering her brother's life.

When she looked at Shirou, a whirlwind of contradictory emotions invaded her. On one hand, she felt grateful and happy that he had been willing to do anything to protect her, even if it meant changing his own ideals. This gratitude intertwined with a deep brotherly love, as she highly valued her relationship with her brother and everything he had done for her.

However, at the same time, she couldn't help but feel a persistent sadness and a sense of responsibility for bringing Shirou to this point. She felt guilty for turning him into someone who had to struggle against his own values and beliefs. This duality of emotions, gratitude, and guilt, created a constant tension in her heart and mind.

Despite this emotional burden, she also found comfort in the fact that her brother was still by her side, and both were united in this new reality. As they traveled together through an unknown world, she found strength in her relationship with Shirou and the opportunity to seek answers and a new purpose for their lives together. Although guilt persisted, Shirou's presence gave her hope and the conviction that they could overcome any challenge that came their way, keeping their fraternal bond intact.

On the other hand, Shirou also faced an overwhelming psychological and emotional burden due to the decisions he had made in the past, plunging him into a deep and painful internal conflict.

The loss of his friend Julius Ainsworth and his defeat against Darius represented traumatic events that had left profound emotional scars. These occurrences haunted him with feelings of guilt and self-accusation. Blaming himself for not being able to protect Julius and for not overcoming the challenges presented to him. He felt that he had failed to uphold his own ideals of justice and protection, plunging him into a state of self-loathing.

However, the most overwhelming weight of his emotional burden lay in the decision to sacrifice Miyu to save his original world. He felt guilty for being willing to make that decision and, at the same time, guilty for not being able to move forward. The struggle between his desires to protect his sister and his commitment to his ideals of justice and sacrifice had caused a devastating internal conflict. He felt that he had betrayed his fundamental beliefs and, in doing so, had lost part of his essence.

When he looked at Miyu, he experienced an overwhelming mix of emotions. On one hand, he felt a profound love and the need to protect her at all costs. Miyu represented his last connection to his original world and was a constant reminder of the burden of his past decisions. On the other hand, he felt guilty for being willing to sacrifice her and for turning her into a pawn in his internal struggle.

However, despite all this emotional burden, he also found comfort and a sense of redemption in Miyu's presence. He was grateful that she was by his side, and his love for his sister gave him the strength to move forward. Finding in her a reason to seek answers and an opportunity to redeem himself from his past mistakes. Although his mind was plagued with conflicts and guilt, she represented hope and the possibility of finding a new purpose in this unknown world.

Finally, the siblings continued to advance cautiously, staying vigilant and avoiding unnecessary conflicts. Uncertainty and the cold began to take a toll on their bodies, prompting them to seek refuge with the determination to survive and the hope of avoiding the strange creatures that could easily pose a threat in their current condition. The darkness of the forest loomed over them, but the unbreakable bond between Miyu and Shirou was their light amid the uncertainty.

The forest became denser as they advanced, but they cleverly made adjustments among the lush vegetation. They used branches and fallen logs to build an improvised shelter around a small rocky cavity, taking advantage of the surrounding limestone terrain. Though rustic, the shelter provided the necessary protection against the inhospitable weather conditions and the increasingly erratic nature, which became more unpredictable with each passing hour.

Inside the cave, the faint light of an improvised campfire illuminated the area. The siblings sat side by side, examining and tending to their wounds as best as they could. Despite fatigue, both showed determination not to overlook any subsequent complications from the injuries.

"Fortunately, your injuries don't seem as severe as we initially thought, and there are even slight traces of healing," Shirou expressed, maintaining a hint of concern.

"The same goes for you, but I think you'll have scars on your chest," Miyu replied with a faint smile as she watched Shirou readjust his shirt, concealing his injuries once again. "In the end, not everything was a tragedy. We're both here together."

Shirou noted the bittersweet tone but could only remain silent as he pondered their situation. His only family, Miyu, was still with him, and that was all the former aspiring hero needed. Not allowing his younger sister to sink into her own resignation, he decided to do the only thing that came to mind. With slow steps, he approached Miyu and hugged her tightly, trying to convey calm and the warmth she so desperately needed at that moment. Unable to resist, both embraced each other tighter, finding comfort in each other's warmth and sharing words of encouragement.

However, the tranquility of their refuge was abruptly shattered when the chilling howl of a creature echoed at the cave entrance. The sound slid down their spines like a blast of cold, and the siblings immediately separated, grabbing their weapons, senses on high alert.

Shirou looked toward the source of the noise and realized it was one of the creatures they had been avoiding. Now, due to its proximity, there was no doubt they were facing a real threat. Shirou positioned himself in front of Miyu, determined to protect her.

"Miyu, stay—" Shirou shouted as he tried to keep the monster at bay with his improvised weapon.

Before he could finish his warning, the Beowolf burst into the cave with unrestrained ferocity, destroying the branches and vegetation they had used to seal their makeshift shelter. Its glowing eyes and tattered fur were a terrifying sight as it emitted another howl full of fury before lunging at them.

Miyu held stones in her hands, trying to reinforce them with magic to assist her brother. However, the battle came to an abrupt and disappointing end when the Beowolf disintegrated into dark dust before their eyes, leaving the siblings stunned.

The cave fell silent, only interrupted by their rapid breaths. They approached where the creature had been, but all they found was black dust dissipating in the cold wind.

"What just happened?" Shirou wondered, confused by the sudden disappearance of the monster. Having it face to face was a completely different experience than encountering it in the forest.

This time, they had stopped in a clearing, providing some relief from their constant state of alert. However, they couldn't help but feel uneasy about the strange encounter with the pack of dark creatures. But now, they had been ambushed by a lone creature, which had attacked them just moments ago.

Shirou frowned, lost in his thoughts. Miyu, on the other hand, looked at her brother with a mix of curiosity and concern in her eyes. Finally, Shirou broke the silence with a question that had been on their minds.

"What do you think that was, Miyu? We've never seen a creature like that before," he murmured, his voice filled with bewilderment. The image of the creature, with its torn fur and glowing red eyes, remained fresh in their minds.

Miyu bit her lower lip, trying to find a logical answer. "I don't know, Shirou. It was like it was made of shadows, and when you tried to defend us, it just... disintegrated," she explained with an equally perplexed expression.

The siblings exchanged a perplexed look, trying to comprehend what they had just witnessed. The unknown creature disintegrating before their eyes left them in a puzzle, trapped in a world that defied all logic.

"Could it be a magical manifestation or... perhaps a creature from this world? But I've never heard of beings that disintegrate like that," Shirou mumbled aloud, his thoughts escaping before he could stop them.

Miyu nodded, her concern evident. "We don't know if there are more of those creatures lurking around here."

As they sank into their thoughts, their gazes met, focusing their attention on a new objective. The cave entrance, torn apart by the creature, allowed the deafening sounds of the outer battle to resonate louder, indicating that they were not alone in this bewildering and dangerous world.

Explosions rumbled like distant thunder, filling the air with the smell of gunpowder and the echo of desperate combat.

"I should have noticed it earlier," Shirou murmured, shaking his head as he stood up, gripping his weapon firmly. "Do you hear that? It sounds like there's a battle nearby," he frowned before his attention shifted to the explosions and the growing tumult.

"Shirou, it seems to be happening very close," Miyu responded with concern. "We don't know what we might find outside." She mimicked her brother's movements, grabbing as many stones as she could carry in her small hands with a determined expression.

Both exchanged glances and reached a tacit agreement, determining their next course of action. They hurriedly left the cave, moving stealthily. But they immediately noticed changes in their surroundings; trees and vegetation trembled with each impact, and fallen branches blocked their path. Following the sounds of battle and the traces of blood, they reached a clearing where they encountered a shocking scene.

Soldiers, armed to the teeth with advanced technology, fought bravely against grotesque and unknown creatures. The beasts shared deformed characteristics: dark skin, bony spines, sharp claws, and blade-like fangs. Their red eyes gleamed with sinister malevolence as they advanced, seeking destruction; they were physical entities of annihilation, devoid of soul.

The battle unfolded like a whirlwind of explosions, flashes, and sparks. The soldiers defended with skill and bravery, but the beasts seemed countless. The bodies of the fallen piled up, and the wounded were easy prey for the ravenous creatures.

Shirou's expression turned serious as he watched the scene, trying to comprehend its magnitude. Explosions and laser beams cut through the air, and despair reflected on the faces of the soldiers. Resistance reached its limit, and hope was about to fade away.

While the siblings debated their course of action, their eyes landed on a man who stood out among the soldiers. His neat and refined appearance suggested a possible higher rank in the military hierarchy, and in an instant, he bravely took the front lines of battle. A deep blue light enveloped him, transforming his nervous expression into one of confidence and determination.

He charged toward the enemy hordes, taking down two dark creatures with precise shots from his gleaming white revolvers. He swiftly changed position, delivering kicks and finishing with a series of shots that disintegrated the beasts into black dust. Then, he issued firm orders that revitalized his men, who joined him with determination.

Shirou was amazed by the man's skill and bravery. Miyu, on the other hand, admired his willingness to risk his life to protect others. But despite the efforts of the unknown officer, the situation did not improve. The beasts continued their attack, and he accumulated wounds in the heat of the battle. It was in this critical moment that a horde of creatures surrounded him, severely injuring his right limbs, rendering him unable to fight effectively and forcing him to use his left arm to shoot.

"We can't stay here, Shirou. We have to help them!" Miyu's worried expression was filled with determination.

But Shirou faced an internal dilemma. His ideals clashed, debating what he should do. On one hand, his sense of justice urged him to intervene, inspired by the determination and sacrifice of the man leading the battle. On the other hand, his concerns as an older brother tormented him, prioritizing Miyu's safety. He didn't want to risk her in this unknown danger.

"But..." Shirou's faltering voice trailed off.

Despite his doubts, Miyu's determined voice resonated in Shirou's mind as he wrestled with his thoughts. He looked at her and saw that there was no longer confusion or fear in her eyes; both emotions had turned into confidence and faith. If they both fought in their own way, they might make a difference. In that moment, Shirou understood that he couldn't stand idly by while others fought for their lives.

"You're right, Miyu. We must act, no matter who they are. They're in danger and need help."

At the critical moment of the battle, both siblings charged against the creatures threatening the soldiers in the rear, determined to take their first step in this bewildering and dangerous new world. Their hearts beat with courage as they plunged into the fight, ready to change the course of the unjust war unfolding before them.

THOTSLAYER9000, although my intention was never to resemble Parcasious, I appreciate the compliment.

Crytach, well, it's not that I didn't want to finish a Fanfic, it's that I have chapters for some stories. However, at that time, my writing style and skills were those of a novice and didn't seem to resonate with the audience, so I decided to set them aside. In my current Fanfic, I'm trying to see what happens.

Jamaldrake, thanks for the good vibes. I'll try to improve more, updating according to the reception and your comments. I hope you enjoy it.
