Author's note:Well well, During Research for the Story I found out Toothless actually is capable of not only Mach speeds, But actually capable of flying in real life (ignoring Biology), That's pretty interesting, But then again a While Back I Heard Rumors that the People who animated him went to Flight School.

"You really were not kidding about not knowing of Dragon's." Hiccup said, "Where are you from, the Southern Isles?" Hiccup asked, Eyeing him.
"What isles?" Nelson asked.
"The Southern isles. Just south of the Cliffs of Baldur." Hiccup said.
"I…have never heard of them." Nelson said, Looking confused.
"So you're from somewhere else?" Hiccup asked.
"Yes, I am from America, More Specifically the State of Oklahoma." Nelson said.
"What's America?" Hiccup asked.
"It's a Continent west of Eurasia. There are more like 2 Continents, But the One I am from is the North. The Largest countries include Canada, America, and there used to be one Called Mexico, Although they broke apart in 1929 after the Great Depression." Nelson said, "Oklahoma is an American state, although it's more like a Region, It has no sea connection." Nelson said.
"Strange…Tell me more about this Place." Hiccup asked.
"Oklahoma is one of the 49 states in the United states of America, It's Largest Cities are Oklahoma City and Tulsa, It Borders the Republic of Texas and used to share a Border with Mexico before the War, Although it's considered Midwest, it's got Mountains where I was Raised in the east." Nelson informed Hiccup.
"That's Interesting, But what 'War?'" Hiccup asked.
"During the Great War, Mexico got a Telegram from Germany asking for it to join their Alliance, in return they'd help Invade The United states and The Republic of Texas, Both which Defeated it after the Mexican-American war." He said, "The Mexican Government ended up Declaring war, But many of the Soldiers ended up Switching sides, Causing a Civil war which ended in an American Victory, and Mexico was split into its Provinces." Nelson concluded his story.
"That's also interesting, although please, Tell me what that 'Helicopter' Thing you came in was."Hiccup asked him.
"Ah, The Helicopter." Nelson said, "Helicopters are Rotercraft designed for Landing Vertically instead of one Runways, The one I came in on was a Huey, Which was Meant to Carry troops and Equipment." I Explained, I realized that it would be hard to Explain a Rotary craft to him without Hiccup knowing anything about what a Rotor was, So I decided to Explain the Basic Concept to him without Exposing him to exactly what it was at First.
"It flies since the Rotor blades kinda act like wings and Generate Lift, Sometimes it's hard to control so we place additional things onto the Craft to help Control it easier." I gave him the most Basic Explanation Possible, however, Hiccup Surprisingly understood that.
"I'd Love to get my hands on that!" Hiccup said, Suddenly, I hear a Yowl from behind me, I turn and at first I think Hiccup has a Cat, Then I quickly Realize that cat's typically don't have wings or Scales. It's also considerably bigger than a Cat.
I do feel suddenly Nervous, but more so Disoriented, I'd expected that Hiccup was Joking about the Part in which he had a Dragon, or more so that Dragons Existed in the first place. However, This must have been the Dragon.
For some reason, However, I don't faint, I don't feel that scared by this Creature. It's probably the Eyes and Ears, Since When people Thought 'Dragon' They Typically Selected the Mental Imagine of a Giant, 2 Legged Lizard spitting out great flames to torch Villages, Not something that may actually make someone go 'Awww….'
"Aw…" I say, Nervously and in a Low tone.
"Meet Toothless, I Guess." Hiccup said, "Toothless, Meet Nelson." Hiccup introduced me.
I actually want to Pet it, I never thought at any point in my life before this that I would want to Pet a Dragon, nor did I ever think they Existed.
"It's…Adorable." I say
"Ah, Thanks for the Compliment." Hiccup said, Toothless made a Noise Resembling a…Laugh. That made my mind try and wrap around itself that a Dragon that was not only Adorable just Laughed.
I felt confused…In a Good way.
"Yeah…A Good way." I murmured to myself, I looked around and Noticed the Beautiful Scenery, or what would be Beautiful had there not been a Warzone raging around them, Smoke was now emerging around them from Spots in the Forest, and Fire was Raging throughout the Distant pines and Tree's.
"So…You still know where my Helicopter crashed, Right?" I asked him.
"Yeah." Hiccup said.
"Good, You might wanna get me back there, and Quick." I told him."I need to Radio my team about what happened so we get this sorted out before it Escalates."
"Get what?" Hiccup asked.
"A Radio is a Device that can allow long distance communication." I say, "If I don't get it and they get the Live Footage, Then they will interpret it as an Attack and I can't guarantee that they won't assume you also helped to attack me."
"Yeah…We should Probably get that sorted out." Hiccup said.
Back through the Portal.
On the Flight Deck, The Enterprise's Air Wing is almost ready on the Flight Deck, It's Ammunition (The Little it needs) are now loaded into the F-4 Phantoms that are ready, Some are already about to take off while others sit in Line, With Final Checks being done for those aircraft.
The Captain of the Vessel is already sitting in a Chair Along the Briefing room, The Aircraft have, of Course, been Ordered to take off. In Extension to the Aircraft sent towards them mentioned Earlier, The U.S.A.F has prepared air tankers to travel towards them with B-52's in case that the People on the other side were Hostile. The German Air Force has its own Planes being placed on alert and due to Proximity, the Low Countries were also being put on Alert with The United Kingdom and the Nation of Denmark also readying.
The U.S.S.R had already learned about it…Given that there was another portal only 40 Miles east of Moscow, And the Canadians were also Informed given they also had one in Alberta. After a Few Hours The U.S had Called a Emergency N.A.T.O meeting over the Issue and Decided to Forward it to the U.N since it was not Strictly a NATO issue. The U.N summit was still ongoing since they were already in a U.N meeting over the Chihuahuan Invasion of Durango, But the Issue of the Portals were still being Discussed.
As for the Actions the Carriers took, They had to wait for a Resolution about the Issue to Occur, The Captain, However, had his own Opinions on this. Someone had shot down a United States Military Helicopter on the Other Side of the Portal, Something he Understandably was upset with.
Moreover, The Portal had grown in the last few Hours, By a Total of 3 Meters, The People working to figure this thing out had no idea why, but they Figured that at its current rate, The Portal would grow significantly. They did not know why it was growing or even if it would stop, So he had Resigned himself to holding back for now into the U.N and the U.S gave him orders.
The Orders came in 12 Minutes later, The U.N Had been quick about this Issue given its Status and Importance, The Chihuahuan-Durango Issue was still not Resolved, But the U.S had presented its Case to the U.N as had Canada and the Soviet Union. Unsurprisingly, the U.S and Canada had the Same Agreement and Solution, but even more Surprisingly was that the U.S.S.R had actually agreed with America and Proposed a Similar solution.
The U.S.S.R and Canada were much more Affected by this than the U.S, Given that one of the Largest Canadian Prairie settlements and the Capital of the Soviet Union were very close to the Other Portals, But they all had the Idea of sending in Recon Teams and Establishing a Containment area with Guards around the Portals. The U.S Navy and the Royal Navy would cooperate along with the Navy's of France and the Low Countries to establish a Sort of 'Blockade' Around the Portal in order to study it.
The Canadians would be Enlisting help from Elements of the Montana National Guard and the Alberta Mounted Police in order to help Set up Initial Patrols, Montana National Guard units were allowed in due to Proximity before Canadian Armed Forces and U.S Armed Forces could establish an effective containment zone around the Albertan Portal.
The U.S.S.R would mobilize small sections of Elite Red Army Units from across the Vast country and Bring them in to the Moscow Portal area to Establish their Own Containment zone, The U.S.S.R would also bring in some Tank Brigades of T-62s to the Portal area. The Soviet Air Force would also be using Mig-21's and Mig-23s to Patrol the airspace around the Portal, with Mig-25s in Reserve, The USSR would also press further Development into the Mig-29 and Su-27 in order to get the Planes into Service faster.
The U.S.S Enterprise would soon be Joined in the Next few Hours by British Navy ships, 3 More Spurance class Destroyers, The U.S.S Iowa, Which was going through Retirement, was to be Refitted with More Modern weapons incase of the Worst.
They would be Joined at least in a Week by the U.S.S Cheyenne, the First of its Class of Ships. The U.S would work on getting more Ships and Airpower out to the area in the Next Few Weeks.
But to him, These Precautions seemed Necessary, Whatever took down the Heli on the Other side of the Portal was capable of Flight and Explosive Power.
He Wasn't wrong.
And I'll End it here, This is Certainly a Longer Chapter than average, But it's getting longer because You may have Noticed a Few Things in this Chapter.
This is a Alternate History sort of thing, World events happened differently in this Universe and this led to
North American Geopolitical Stage Looks Very Different with Mexican Provinces being Independent, Along with that, my home state of Texas is also Independent (Although in this Universe it retained Independence after 1845).
B. The Global Stage itself is Now More Tipped to the East since the U.S Economy is Smaller without Texas, It's still the Largest but without that manpower and Economic section of the country, These Additional Changes may show up more as the Story Progresses.
events outside of North America have Played out in almost the Same way.
in the story I mentioned that Fictional Designs would Be Included along with Real Ones, The Cheyenne class Vessel (In my story) is a Fictional class of cruisers Designed for Naval/ Shore Bombardment, They Sport 2 185 MM Guns and an Assortment of Others weapons, There are 5 vessels of the Class Constructed as of the Start of the Story.
will be other Fictional Designs in the Story, But Don't Expect anything too Crazy like a 600 meter long battleship, I am Trying to keep them Somewhat Realistic.
in this Chapter are the Mig-29 and Su-27, Which Would not come in real life for a Few Years after 1980, But here we will assume Given what's going on, The Soviet union Speeds up Development and may Crank out a Few a Bit earlier, But the amount depends on how well things go and what happens.
C. In addition to this, I may also have it so that some projects that didn't succeed in Real Life flourish here, So as to mix things up a bit.
Along with that, The Reason Nelson reacted so calmly to Toothless beyond what was stated won't be revealed since it may have to do with something else later down the line.
