Madison couldn't sleep through the night as she will never forget that wonderful night at the ball. She couldn't stop smiling as she got reunited to her sweet Alex. After she and Cinderella finally made it to the chateau before the Tremaines come back, Madison helped her out by gathering the torn rags and Drizella's beads. For Madison she placed the beads in Drizella's room and then went to her after she said goodnight to Cinderella. Luckily, Zor was in her room and was happy to see her as he was wagging his tail.
Madison couldn't help but smiled as she told her little friend all about the ball and reunited with Alex. Zor couldn't stop smiling as he has been hearing about Alex from his mistress. What's more exciting was that she told him that she will meet Alex at the village in the morning. Also saying that she will be taking him along to meet him as well.
It was still dark out and Madison was still awake. Wondering what the time was, Madison waved her hand around up in the air and showed a time that says four o'clock. Madison groaned a little at the time, but she couldn't help it. There were some certain days that Madison couldn't sleep. Either the worrisome or even the excitement.
She looked at the time again as it was still four and then decided to get up. Looking at the full mirror, Madison gave a little twirl until her nightgown changed. Madison shed some little light on her glow orb and looked at herself. She now changed into wearing her blue casual dress as she always wore and start doing her hair as she was about to snap her fingers until she heard a chirp.
Madison turned around to see Zor who was looking half-awake as he looked at her.
"Sorry, Zor." she spoke softly as she gently sat down on the bed beside her. "I didn't mean to wake you up."
She starts gently petting his scales as she heard her Bearded Dragon purring.
"It's just that I'm just too excited to meet Alex again. I thought maybe I should get ready already and then leave the chateau. I'm not so sure how long does it take to go to town on foot. The villagers won't wake up around seven or eight I think."
Zor chirped and then let out a yawn.
She smiled at him and continued petting him until she waved her hand to see the time was five past four. She let out a groan and starts lying down on her bed. She starts closing her eyes and thought maybe she could try to sleep a little. Zor looked at his mistress and snugged close to her as he rests his eyes.
A minute later or two, maybe more, Madison opened her eyes and looked at the window. It was still dark but there was a little of light that she could see the trees. She waved her hand to see the time and it was like five. Madison quickly snapped her fingers and had her hair fixed.
"Zor... Zor...!" Madison whispered as she gently shook her Bearded Dragon.
Zor let out a big yawn and looked at Madison as he was half asleep.
"It's time to go." she whispered as she gently picked him up and carefully placed him on her shoulder.
Just before as she was about to leave the room. She just thought of something. She quickly creates a paper and a pen in front of her and starts writing a note down. Once she's done, Madison quietly exits her room and starts going down the stairs. She went into the kitchen, left the note down on the table, and then quickly leaves. Madison looked around to see if anyone was not out and awake and quietly head towards to the door.
Once she reached it, she looked back again to see the emptiness of the chateau and then left. Madison started walking while Zor hanged on to her shoulder. The sky was a little dim, but it'll be light soon, but through the path of trees, it does look a little dark. Thankfully, the necklace started to glow and became a beacan for Madison and Zor to see. But as they kept walking, Madison used her magic to create an apple and some floating meat for Zor to catch. He enjoyed that and so was Madison with her apple.
But as the few minutes have passed, the two finally reached to the town. It was empty, quiet, almost like a ghost town, but the two knew that there are people living there and of course, they are asleep. Madison sighed with relief that she made it and looked at the sky to see that it was getting lighter soon. Thankfully, there was a fountain nearby and Madison decided to sit there.
There was still silent around her surroundings. Not a single person is out or even any critter. It started to creep her out a little. She let out a small yawn and waited for the sun to come up. Zor let out a yawn as well and looked around. Even walking around the fountain as well. Madison was starting to feel bored as she felt her eyes being closed.
Not only for a minute or two, as to what Madison thinks, but the sound of gongs also banged which startled her. The sky was now dawn and could see some of the villagers coming out.
"Finally, it's morning." Madison spoke as she sat up straight.
She looked down to see Zor, as he was asleep beside her, and gently petted him. The Bearded Dragon let out a yawn and starts opening his eyes. He looks around to see that it was now daylight and could actually feel the warmth from the sun as it was rising up.
Now the wait was still going for the two until they notice a couple of people whispering and rushing to a same direction. Madison wondered what was going on, but decided not to bother until she heard a voice.
"Flowers for a beautiful princess?"
Madison smiled as she heard that familiar voice. She turned around and saw Alex as he was carrying a bouquet of flowers in his hands.
"Thank you." she spoke to him as she held the flowers. "They're wonderful."
"I just thought I give you something since we are now here." said Alex.
Zor looked at the young man and felt a wag on his tail. He was now actually seeing THE Alex that he has been hearing so much from his mistress. He jumped onto Madison's dress and starts climbing up to her shoulder. Alex suddenly notices the Bearded Dragon on Madison's shoulder and looked at him.
"Who's your friend?"
Madison looked at Zor and smiled as she looked back at Alex.
"This is Zor."
Alex blinked for a moment as he looked surprise.
"This is Zor? THE Zor? The little dragon you told me about?" he asked, and Madison nod her head.
"That's him. Well, he's not little anymore, but I disguised him as a Bearded Dragon. Some people are not ready for dragons or any mythical beings to appear in my world."
Alex looked at the Bearded Dragon and could tell that the reptile was happy for meeting him. He smiled and petted his head. But while he was petting him, he looked at Madison as she was smiling at him and Zor but... he noticed the necklace.
"Did you get a new magic necklace?" he asked curiously.
"Oh... um..." Madison looked at her necklace and looked back at Alex. "Actually, it's the same necklace but it's in a different form."
"Huh?"
"It's a long story."
"Do tell. Since we have a lot of catching up."
Madison smiled to him and started talking about the times after leaving she left the Fairy Kingdom.
She starts explaining about her time of seeing her friends again to where Zor lived and how she broke a magic wand that was from a different fairy godmother, who is actually evil. She has told him about the time she came to a hidden city that is gold, a time where a queen has ice powers, and what got Alex mad was hearing about her being in a forced marriage to an imp but was now calmed down knowing that it was an alternate timeline. Which he may needs to learn about it. What else that he learned from her was that she was learning magic from a book that was a gift from her old friend, came to a land full of dead people, and met her snow queen friend again as they came to the enchanted forest.
"And that's how my necklace changed the second time. After I learned about its past." Madison spoke as she finished her explanation.
"Wow... you have been busy adventuring and learning some stuff." Alex said to her.
"Well... I always go back to my home and help my family around."
"That's why I like you."
Madison smiled and blushed as her eyes were staring at the tile ground but then looked back at Alex.
"Alex, I couldn't stop thinking about either. Every time I looked at the boutonniere you made for me or looked at the butterflies and flowers, I still remember you. I also been wishing on seeing again and hoping we won't be separate."
"And we won't." Alex spoke softly as he gently held her hand. "We're together now."
Madison smiled to him and felt his other hand caressing her cheek. She now noticed he was leaning closer as she felt he was going to kiss her. Zor looked at the two as he wagged his tail and then covered his eyes as he was blushing but smiling. Just as the two were about to kiss, more shouting and cheering have stopped the moment. Both Madison and Alex stopped and looked around to see the villagers kept on running with excitement until they noticed a carriage driving by past them which Alex knew who that was.
"Looks like the Grand Duke is still in search." he spoke.
"What do you mean?" Madison questioned as she looked at him.
"I guess you haven't heard. After you and your friend left the castle, the Grand Duke was talking to the prince with the glass slipper. He made a promise that whoever fit the glass slipper will marry him. He told the king about that as well, but I'm pretty sure you already knew who that was."
"Yes, I do." Madison replied. "I may have to return to..."
Suddenly, a sound of birds interrupted her. Both Madison, Alex, and Zor looked up to see a couple of blue birds flying towards them. Madison looked at them and realized they were Cinderella's friends. The birds start flying around her, twittering in panic.
"What's going on? What's wrong?" Madison questioned as she looked at them. "What are you trying to say?"
The birds kept on chirping as they were talking to her. Madison wished she could understand animals until she realized something as now get why they were chirping about.
"I may not understand what you're saying but I think I get it now. Is she alright?" she asked and the birds sadly shook their head. "Tell her I'm on my way. And hurry." she said and watched the birds fly away.
Madison turned around with a concern look as she looked at Alex and Zor.
"Zor and I have to go." she said as she picked Zor up and walks away until Alex stopped her.
"Wait a minute, what was that about? Is something wrong? Let me help you."
Zor chirped as he nods in agreement and looked at his mistress. Madison looked at her Bearded Dragon and looked back at Alex as she nod her head.
"Alright. But we must hurry quickly. Come on." she said as she placed Zor on her shoulder.
As Zor quickly held on tight, both Madison and Alex dashed off as they exit the town and into the forest. Heading straight towards the chateau.
