"Cocoa cheers!" Ladybug sighed happily as she clinked cups with Cat Noir. "You really picked meow-excellent spot, M'lady. The photographers will never think to look in a tree." Cat slurped some of his cocoa. "I don't mind most of the time, but I want to enjoy the beautiful weather while I can."
Ladybug peered up through crisscross branches, the sun peeking in and out through the leaves. Could the sky be a more perfect blue color, the sun a perfect shade of gold? "I think we should watch Charlie Brown when we get home," Cat said. Ladybug giggled, moving closer to wipe whip cream off his lips. "Love, Halloween's over." "No, not the pumpkin one. Thanksgiving!" "Sounds good to me. It is getting a bit chilly out here. Ready to go?" Cat nodded, but the heroes jumped when they heard a shout.
"I found them! Quick, I see a tail!" Ladybug shot her partner a look. "Cat, your tail's hanging down! Quick!"
Ladybug looked wildly about it, then looked down at the ground. The reporters could look all they liked, but they would never find them in the giant leaf pile above them.
"Hang on!" Ladybug yelled, and Cat held her waist tightly as they dropped into the pile. "Cannonball!"
OOF! Oh, acorns and berries, this wasn't how Ladybug pictured the landing! Her hand stuck up awkwardly in the air, while Cat's boot was visible. But soon, they burrowed into the leaves, waiting till the coast was clear.
Cat was the first one to the surface, and he spat a leaf out of his mouth. Ladybug followed suit, covered in leaves.
Cat looked over at her, and cocked his head. She had some green leaves on her head, but her suit was red….Cat licked his lips…. "You look like a Strawberry," he grinned. Ladybug blushed slightly. "So, good enough to eat?"
As soon as the words left her mouth, she wanted to sink back to the leaves. That's not what she meant!
Cat stared for a moment, then smiled. "Personally, I prefer watermelons." "Kitty!" She laughed as she threw leaves at him. The fight was short, and they helped each other out of the pile. "Well, I guess I know what are snack will be for the movie," Ladybug said, as she took his hand. "Watermelons and strawberries!"
