p data-p-id="cdec965b17ecd83c4893215a5b9aaf9c"Daenerys' eyes were locked on Drogon as he ripped the burning bodies of Jhaqo, Mago and the other four bloodriders, his long teeth biting into the smoking flesh. The warriors of the two khalasars that were fighting each other only a minute ago now stood side by side, not daring to move or look away from the gruesome sight. emThey deserve it,/em Dany kept telling herself as the bodies of the six men were stopping to resemble human beings. They've committed a crime, and they are paying for it. Eroeh's fate was equally cruel. I only did them justice. /p
p data-p-id="e0664a2c30e89be8651bca0dd5cbf867"Minutes - or hours - passed before Drogon, satisfied with his prey, took off and soon disappeared in the sky, leaving thousands of people to keep having nightmares of what they had just witnessed for the rest of their lives. /p
p data-p-id="00a9977c191ac4db3beaf6a3f90c1932"Jhaqo's khaleesi rushed to her husband's body, or rather what's remained of it. She ran and ran and ran, the only moving figure among the motionless Dothraki - and then she stopped. She was about ten feet away from the bloody scene when she collapsed on the ground, unable to tell Jhaqo's body from the bodies of his bloodriders. Her wail broke the silence in the field, bringing some of the people from their haze./p
p data-p-id="5dc8eb1bfc36f60c2addbf60f50bc05f"A man on a horse rode up to her. He jumped to the ground, took her by her hand and raised her from her knees. Being two good feet taller, he lowered his head and said something at her, causing her to let out another cry. /p
p data-p-id="7de73c75a5fa51398da098d94d355fdf"He lead her up to where Jhaqo's khalasar was standing, a multitude of bells ringing in his waist-length braid. /p
p data-p-id="587fb9d02202d8b5c778a415906aa11d""Your khal is dead!" he hollered, and Dany, who stood the closest to them, saw tears streaming down the khaleesi's face. "I, Pono, son of Chongo, am now your Khal." /p
p data-p-id="a4f2a2ac01abc5585543d508dd6e152f"He let go of the khaleesi and raised his hand. The Dothraki who were still on the battlefield, now one khalasar, galloped up. "Take the slaves," he ordered his men. Pono's bloodriders and kos moved to obey his order, and soon many cries filled the air as women, children and men who were no more able to fight were taken. /p
p data-p-id="2f0a8d9b80882d31537653ef0d26938a""We will trade them for horses and gold in the cities of Meereen, Yunkai and Astapor," Dany heard Pono tell one of his bloodriders. /p
p data-p-id="6b90dfb9ef497232e0698164b388e135""Meereen is no more a slave city," she said, turning to face the khal. "And neither will be Astapor and Yunkai."/p
p data-p-id="1a20906ab292c0012f3e79cc8d5f1dd7"Pono and the other man looked at her with irritation. /p
p data-p-id="5682bac3676fe113d3a7e44ef0dddfd0""Who are you?" Pono asked scornfully, looking her up and down./p
p data-p-id="cf3f7456744b34dd7771af9e67f3469c"Before Dany could reply, the khaleesi said, "She was Drogo's wife. She is the one who killed my sun and stars and blood of his blood."/p
p data-p-id="f3231cd0b54e38643b4fbabfb27fc118""The dragon killed him," Pono told the khaleesi./p
p data-p-id="301af658684d8fc964e92d4313d5360c""The dragon is hers," she replied, piercing Dany with a loathing glare. /p
p data-p-id="3ae99467a83fd3aa73219ee6ac58b8ee"The Khal's expression changed. /p
p data-p-id="84d3c635bd20de763b93748d0c5cc01b""Blood of my blood," said another man, "she must be punished for her crime."/p
p data-p-id="8a0421a20ea3e04f2fb972785bd6861d""She belongs in Vaes Dothrak, where she was supposed to go after Drogo died," Pono said slowly with his eyes still on Dany. "Before we take the slaves to the cities, we must bring Jhaqo's wife to dosh khaleen. The khaleesi of dosh khaleen will decide what to do with the Westerosi girl."/p
p data-p-id="442255b1d244f16567f9c0891784f01b"Dany considered objecting, but then she thought that a khalasar she can't control could be dangerous to Meereen, with the situation in the city still unknown to her. She wouldn't risk the safety of her people. She looked back, to where Pono's men were tying up the enslaved people. They were once Drogo's khalasar. If she left them now, they would end up as slaves in Yunkai and Astapor, making the masters more powerful, and then her forces in Meereen wouldn't be able to defend the city and its people if the slavers decided to attack. emThey can't go to the cities, not until I know what to do. Let it be Vaes Dothrak. You are the blood of the dragon, you can figure your way of out there. /em/p
