The Past Meets The Future- Part 3: The Past And Present Reborn
Disclaimers: I don't the the shows, the story belongs to me everything else belongs to the creators and the movie companies.
Warnings: With this chapter there is an unexpected visit by Shyla and her courts, resulting in a fast repair job, as they resurrect Pyrus as well. As the switch over from one book series to the next now, has this resulting in the side effects. Of a stand alone story connected to book 2 of the Stargate/Star Trek TNG serious directly after this. In story titles, the title of the story is The Bonds Of Friends And Family I: Stargate SG-1.
As this story, in between season 2 and restarting season 1, shows the ending results of Jack not changing a bit, or Sam did it again. And landed Daniel back in the hospital, via sarcophagus, as she knew now that Daniel was on a mission but didn't care now. And once more doesn't care that Daniel never wanted to go back to P7J-989 for the chairs as he has to relive his parents deaths again, and this time for Shyla's people.
They became overly protecting in keeping them separated as there is going to be a slight pause. In the extended version to what happened between his withdrawal and rebound and the end of it. As I lost several chapters when updating the chapter on truths out. Regarding who it was that caused his to really quit and the reason why. So it's going to take me a few days to get the rest of it out, regarding the ending to Need.
Before the rest of the story is finished and it goes from 2369 and into 1893, but there will be several indications saying there are changes in that area. Before Hammond's age group gets into the military and leading into their new future. And before the next half of the chapter as it reaches Hammond's meeting with SG-1 as the team ends up in 1969, as they see Hammond in his early 30's.
Chapter 114: SGC Truths: The IOA Gets The Truth VI
"Agreed, we can protect others now, by them going under our protection, but killing our renegades, you have to give them a switch and a medallion immediately. But you are killing innocent people, by freeing them from their former gods. Commander Jackson has a safer, more kinder way of doing this right now. By giving them our medallions now, making them our subjects now in truth." Amaterasu said then gently.
"So they'd rather die slaves, than be free?!" Jack said and Daniel said it sternly. "You recall Perseus, the Argosians rose up against the gods, Hades exacted his wrath. By creating a tidal wave that over turned his ship now, thereby by drowning his entire family. You anger the gods, it can and will get you killed." he said and Jack went white in fear. "But you kill Heru'ur, we fill the void by giving them medallions of Lord Yu, and then a fight breaks out in public now."
"You made the mistake, and now you're embarrassed that your decisions kill Darian's people, but death by renouncement of the new god, or live to raise his family. And be the human Jaffa army for a new one, to him and their people, no choice necessary now. They choose to be the, first human army for Cronus, then switch to Lord Yu, and they are safely under Federation rule." he said and Jacob nodded in approval and Sam swallowed hard at that, never thinking of that.
"To you burying the gate solves everything, they still come by ship, takes a few weeks, but still they get their, given a choice, freedom or death, they chose freedom." he said and he swallowed hard at that news. "I don't believe that, Heru'ur is dead and whoever showed up next, before we have to fix what you caused right now. Is we switch gods, place them under the protection of the Federation as Cronus's time is over we switch to Lord Yu." he said and he went white.
"The idea is kill them all, except our ownership and the trio involved with them, namely here is Kali, Bastet and Olokun now. We overwhelm the Goa'uld with Tok'ra, as we got a single queen bee out there, that's the plan now. As this prevents a power vacuum void, that results in the Ori coming here, laying havoc all over the galaxy." he said and they all went white at that. "Thank you, and that's a good plan, we kill every queen bee, but Egeria." Jacob said to that sternly.
"Or rather her and Morrigan, and we killed 3 already, but Hathor, Anubis's queen, Cleo and Amonet." he said and they nodded. "Then we have to get them all, but that summit you said had the system lords cannibilizing their species?" Yosuf said and he nodded. "Yeah and I can honestly say I never seen a more hideous sight right now, but you do realize. There is just one flaw in the plan here, regarding the poison, it could kill you as well." he said and she nodded.
"Well before you create that poison, my suggestion here right now is create a vaccine that protects you from it, while the Jaffa get tretonin. That anyone that gets infected, say Anubis's jaffa are the ones being struck down and Brandon is cloned right now. And with him Lantash, so that saves them, and Mansfield's unit survives this, while I'm on recon with you Jacob." he said and they nodded smiling. "Now that is a very good idea right now." she said smiling at that.
"Agreed, so with that, you are being Lo'taur to me and Emperor Yu now, in truth, so just, when we get there, remember everything Yu and I taught you. And go make friends with the trio and Morrigan's Lo'taurs now, while I investigate what the hades is going on here. They know you're there under orders by the IOA, to see what is going on here." Egeria said and he nodded gently to the orders. "That's going to be a long day, but I'm not distracted." he said to her at that.
"But yeah okay, Jacob, you let him have it after I told you how sick of the fighting I was, lay it on the table." he said and he crossed his arms sternly to him. "But the point is here young lady, in the eyes of the galaxy, they got by without you actively shaking up the status quo. Daniel merely decided on a way to make the mining better, and that's what we're looking for. Without it getting violent right now, and to you, he's the one in the wrong right now as a result here."
"That it, now that Daniel reported the truth of that memory rearrange after you pushed him to suicide once, before pushing him to that fugue state now?" he asked and she started shaking in fear then. "And discovering that as good future chieftain, councilman, a king now, he decided on a better more efficient way to handle things without it going to outright violence. He did a good thing here right now, by creating a way now, but whoever nearly destroyed their economy."
"That is not going by unchecked, as he has to fix what you triggered here, whatever choices he made and you're trying to force him to get you out of that mind, that's not going to happen. As you put him in the emergency room, you knew he was there on a meet and greet and still tried to run right now!" he said and she swallowed hard. "Well enough is enough, Daniel is right, you are wrong, he's been in the field longer then you have, since he was 21." he said and she paled.
"That's why Daniel will rig the proceedings, so now you're the ones in the wrong, and till we decide you're clear of the after effects, of Jolinar's memories ease back. You're dangerous, to yourself and others now, so as of now, Daniel was the one that did the right thing here. But who are you to badmouth us, he was under my orders to explain things to her right now. But you're the one in the wrong, he had orders to study the damn thing." he said sternly and she paled.
"And yet to you this is insulting, why did we ask him to get the answers, it's because she's still a threat here, how do we know the next thing that happens. Is that this could get me killed right now, because you can't find the right memory." he said and she went white at that. "That's why we can't trust you, her memories are overwhelming your personality right now. It's beyond dangerous, and for O'neill, he's a paranoid schizophrenic." he said sternly and she swallowed.
"Shall we Jacob, because though I was busy talking to Yosuf, I knew what John was talking to you about, as I can get in the bastard's head. But Jack or John, all I see is Jack here and his arrogance knows no bounds, but you trained me well here, boss. You know I would gladly follow you guys and General Landry, Dad and General Picard into the flames. If you asked me too." he said and Jacob and Bra'tac smiled at that. "We know son." he said to him, smiling gently then.
"But Q could you do a scenery change right now, for that exchange here right now, please." he said and he nodded as they saw themselves inside the corridors of the ship then as Jacob and Daniel, changed into Jack were walking through the ship. As Tok'ra are moving cargo around the ship. "You'll have to take that to the secondary cargo hold, we need room for the Stargate." he said and they nodded as they carried it down the hall and Jack called out to the them.
"Hey! Don't scuff the walls!" Daniel said to them and Jack paled, realizing his new powers he could mimic any one of them now. "Amazing isn't, now Daniel has the powers to mimic the mimic devices so he can frame you for whatever happens now." Landry said smiling sternly and Jack swallowed hard as he watched as Daniel turned to look at Jacob as he said it then. "I want this ship back the way we found it." he said to him and he sighed as he answered him.
"We know, Jack, but I still don't think it's really necessary for you to be here." he said to him then. "Sorry, not letting her out of my sight." he said to him and he nodded. 'Young man really, haven't you learned anything after I laid into my daughter for something like this.' they heard and Hammond nodded sternly. "My mission is to oversee the relocation of the Tok'ra base, what's yours again?" he asked and he said it with a bemused smile at the question.
"Protect Earth's big fat asset, we've got about a thousand engineers and scientists just drooling to go through this thing." he said and Jacob nodded firmly. "You really think that's wise?" he asked and he said it in annoyance. "Don't start with me, Jacob." he said to him then. "Remember when you tried to retrofit a death glider?" he asked and he sighed at the memory. "Yes, I have that memory." he said to him then and he nodded firmly then.
"This is a vastly more complicated piece of technology." he said and Daniel nodded as he answered him. "Which is exactly why we're 'loaning' it to you in exchange for flying lessons." he said to him then. "You know what I mean, you should really leave the ship with us." he said to him and he said it firmly. "Not a chance." he said to him. "This is me talking, Jack, Jacob, not Selmak, you have no idea how dangerous this thing is." he said to him then.
"Hey, we were smart enough to steal it in the first place which is more than the Tok'ra have been able to do." he asked him, and he said it sternly. "We don't operate that way." he said and Jack paled at that. "Well maybe it's time you took a more direct approach: The Tok'ra have been around for what, 2,000 years? In all that time how many System Lords have you taken down?" he said and they heard a stern and furious tone to that.
"Oh yeah, yeah, spending time burning bridges instead of building them, perceiving everything as a threat, oh yeah. Things have certainly gotten better out here, since you started killing Goa'ulds off one by one. Let's examine the results, in each case a more warlike Goa'uld has stepped in to fill their place, there's more chaos than ever before. With the power Apophis now has, we're on the brink of losing any chance of ever defeating the Goa'uld right now here."
"I happen to agree with Daniel, every time we destroyed one goa'uld, an even worse one shows up, how do we know, once we eliminate him, someone worse then him never arrives next." he said to him sternly and Daniel froze up at that. "At least we're doing something." he said and Jacob nodded sternly. "Yeah well we're doing something as well, maybe our plan is a little more long term but at least we have one." he said and hid a smile, knowing Daniel's idea then.
Said, was better, as he created the Tok'ra ideals and the medical information for humans on the sarcophagus technology. "What plan?" he asked and he labeled it off. "Undermine the Goa'ulds individual power and keep them fighting amongst themselves. And until we have a way of eliminating them, once and for all." he said and he looked at him. "Go on." he said and he said it gently. "We're working on it, Jack." he said and they ended it at that as he changed back.
"So that first sentence prior to that rant, this was the live action version, Daniel spilled his guts to you at how sick he was of this?" Davis said and he nodded sternly. "Yep and I happen to agree with him, they're burning bridges instead of building them. Shaking up the status quo, but every time we kill one, we got another one even worse showing up to fill the void. There's more chaos then ever before, and we cut it too close in destroying Apophis." he said and they nodded.
"But just where do you think the advanced knowledge of the sarcophagus came from, their ideals in how to handle the fighting, I do believe you went that roman planet. Saw a few dozen statues meant to look like Daniel, the way the one on Rocky III was now. Before he retired from boxing now, why is it every symbiote like Selmak treats him with courtesy. Like he is their father right now?" he asked and she went pale and then Jack said it in shock then firmly.
"Are you saying that was Daniel?" he asked and he nodded. "That's right, the longer the fighting lasts, the more chance we have at bringing peace back to the galaxy. But these sheltered civilizations should remain just that, sheltered, they got by for sum hundred years. Before you came along, they can get by now." he said and he swallowed hard. "As for personal matters between you and Daniel, young lady.." he said and she paled as her mother said it sternly.
"These apologies you're trying to make to Daniel are only given because that idiot, manipulative, uncaring fool of a man that calls himself the Colonel, persuaded you to do it. But Daniel's actions regarding you, that boy, SG-3, their leaders in the NID and everyone else. That was his way of saying he was done, that he's done being the whipping boy, done acting stupid. And done doing what was best for everyone and not what was best for him and I applaud him for it in truth."
"Daniel never changed Samantha, he grew up, he's become a man grown now, with the maturity of his status but unfortunately. But you haven't, you are a genius Samantha, smarter than anyone I know, and yet, right now. You, you are monumentally stupid, your actions, your words…it doesn't scream genius, it screams stupid, stupid and selfish. And this makes you look like a puppet, a puppet dancing to the tune now, that the O'neill twins and Maybourne sing."
"You're angry because that Teal'C and Louis turned their backs on you because of what they, you, did to Daniel, well you shouldn't be. What they did, that was brave, to go against your command, your family for a boy you've only known for five years, that's true loyalty. That General Sanderson was right when he said you were just like the woman. Said that murdered Daniel's parents, while Daniel trusted you and you sold him out, to get in with these bastards."
"You're my daughter, and I will always love you, but right now, I don't like you, I don't like the person you become since getting into the SGC. When you find the girl who stood up for her friends, the girl who defied everyone to stand by. and protect a boy who needed it, the girl that stood by her principles and who was willing to do the right thing. Even if sometimes it was the hardest thing to do and it meant going against everyone, when you find her, tell her I miss her."
"And I want her back and I would love to talk to her." she said sternly and Sam looked down, as she started shaking in pain then, knowing that cut so deep. There was no chance of ever fixing things in this timeline, but just maybe in the next round now. "But in truth, that catch on how severely this pain ran from years of ridicule and mistreatment. That was a key point right now, in truth here right now, but why it never ended up in the report, was it was told directly to me."
"And through me right to the president, as they decided to reactivate the SGA, before you murdered him out of a desire to take on that false identity." Addison said and they went pale at that. "And just who told the general, if Sanderson knew and reported to you?" he asked and Lou said it sternly. "That would be me, the fact he was that willing to cut all ties with me and everyone on earth, to protect us, I knew I had to tell my father, now." he said sternly to him.
"This was why your father was here, before we went on that mission, you told him?!" she said in fear and he nodded sternly to her. "As such right now, but seems that the testing proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he has absolutely no friends on this base. As we created the IOA, they reactivate the SGA, and start recruitment for every scientist. And technician we had involved here then as he got involved with his own kind again." The president said sternly then.
"Wait a minute that was just a sting operation, not real!" she said in fear and he nodded sternly then. "It certainly felt real to us right now, young lady, as such you were trying to protest against it, and yet you went ahead and followed orders." Addison said and she swallowed hard at that remark shaking. "Have you ever said no, for once in your life, to the next officer up?" he asked and she went white, realizing in the all years, since going into the military, she never did.
"Have you ever given an alternative way that goes without the violence?" he asked and she started shaking, realizing she never did that to, and every time Daniel did. Jack got pissed he was breaking orders, in his mind, but following orders in the generals. "That's why we reactivated the SGA, given a civilian ran with military help now in total truth here. But this is the way that program should function, should work, and yet the men you follow orders by now."
"All want to act now, so with that in mind right now, Danny want to go to it again, our version to that fight, rather then Maxwell's, Jean you do this one right now, Daniel do it." Sanderson said sternly and he nodded as he morphed into Jack a second time. "Sir I have to tell you, I was relieved when I realized that it was you the joint chiefs sent after me. Someone who knows what it's really like out here." he said and Picard said it firmly to that as he focused.
As though this was Jack at that. "I know of nothing out here, that could possibly justify what you have done." he said and Daniel said it to that. "Then listen to this, that withdrawal after the attack on Langara, was a fake. The reports were given out that Anubis was amassing an army, after his tries at fixing the instabilities. In the Naquadria were unsuccessful, the technology needed to create this army was based on a device."
"And by another alien scientist and the device was the origin of the sarcophagus technology." he said and Picard crossed his arms at that. "How do you know this?" he asked and Jack shrugged. "Information comes our way." he said and Picard pressed further at that. "From who, where is your documentation?" he asked at that firmly at that. "I know what he's doing, we can smell it, but there is no good reason for a sudden withdrawal like this."
"Or for a science station out by that location, but that is a hell of strategic site for a military cloning site. A jumping off port directly into three earth sectors in range of several planets with a lock to earth. My sources say he's been running supply ships back and forth and no one is going to tell us it was for scientific research on the naquadria." he said and Picard said it gently as he watched him carefully at that remark then.
"But whatever your circumstances, why didn't you notify the SGC or tell the joint chiefs?" he asked and Jack scoffed as he said it. "And wait six months while the beauracrats are sitting around reading reports. And trying to figure out what to do, they don't know what's going on out there, but you should Sir. You know what it's like to be under fire." he said and Picard said it gently as he watched him carefully at that remark then.
"You weren't under fire." he said to him and Daniel injected an irritated tone into his voice at that. "Lives were at stake." he said and he countered that as he answered that. "Whose lives?" he said and the frustration boiled over as he finished with the snapped off remark. "We had to act now!" he said and Picard said it firmly to that. "Why?" he asked and Jack swallowed hard, now hearing this is what he sounded like to Hammond when he debated things in actions.
But in the 18 months to two years, since West reactivated him, before Hammond did, he never considered this is what he sounded like to them in all that time. As Daniel did it in pretend annoyance as he said it in disgust at that. 'Yes that's right young man, to us this what you sound like, when on the edge of a breakdown.' Hammond and Jacob thought sternly. "It smells musty in here, like a beauracrats office." he heard and hearing the sneer in the tone.
As Picard said it with a warning tone to that. "You have killed over 500,000,000,000,000,0000 people and you have taken us to the brink of war." he said and Daniel countered that with the next remark as he pretended to inject a reasoning tone. And into his voice as he answered him then gently at that remark as he said it to him at that remark then. "We prevented war, or at the very least delayed it a good long time, the peace treaty, that was just a ruse."
"In order to give them breathing room and time to regroup." he said and Hammond crossed his arms at that as Picard answered. "And so all alone and against the advice of our allies and our orders, the president's orders, you decided to dispose of the treaty." he said and Daniel answered that remark, as he heard the annoyed disgust in his tone. "We took the initiative, we did what had to be done." he said and Picard said it with a stern growl then
And as he looked at Daniel at that. 'Young man, I know what this is really about, you want revenge for what he did to Skaara and slaughtered our allies.' he thought as he answered him. "What had to be done hmm, for whom, why would a man, with a long and brilliant service suddenly abandon the fundamental principles that he's believed in. And even fought for, all of his life? Well I believe it's because of what they did to your team on Abydos."
"And your surrogate son." he said Jack shook his head, trying to deny it. "Not true, that's not true!" he said and Picard went for the throat at that as he said it to him. 'Young man there is no getting passed this in our eyes.' he thought sternly to that. "To avenge their deaths." he said and Daniel looked at him in angered disgust as he answered that. "You're a fool Picard, history will look at you and say this man is a fool." he said and they crossed their arms
And as Picard said it for all of them at that as he looked at him. "I'll accept the judgement of history." Picard said and Jack injected a threatening tone of reasonibility into his voice at that as he said it then. "When it becomes clear to what Anubis is doing, what the system lords have been doing, we will be vindicated." he said Picard said it with a firm tone of finality into his voice. 'And that sounds like a threat.' Shen thought sternly and La Pierre nodded.
"What the system lords, let alone Anubis, have or have not done yet is irrelevant right now." he said and that did it then as the anger at the remark shot through him as he blurted it out at that remark as he looked at him in anger and disgust. "Irrelevant?!" he snapped and turned around, before taking a deep breath and turned back to him. "Then come with me, we go check track down one of their supply ships or strongholds and we'll see here now."
"In how irrelevant it is." he said and at that Picard shook his head as he made the decision then as he said it. "We're not going after any more supply ships or strongholds, your men, if they're on a mission right now. They are to report direct to the SGC right now, the program is on hiatus as of this moment, all gate operations. And that is out going gate operations are terminated until the reset, starting now, Colonel, you and your men are ordered to report."
"And directly to the Alpha Site, all NID personnel are to report to the Alpha Site, and the SGC and the NID officers are returning to Federation space together, those are Starfleet orders." he said as he moved into place in front of Daniel as he said it, while injecting as a stern a tone as possible to him then at that and as he said it to him. 'That's enough of this already, aside from a fast discussion with the king, all operations here are suspended.' Haden thought sternly to this.
"I will permit you the dignity of retaining your ranks and command until then. The only other option is placing you in the brig, and discharging you dishonorably." Picard said with a beyond stern tone and Jack sighed at that as he looked down as Picard looked between the trio at that and Hammond smiled. "You get the point now young man, you never listen to your words, or your behavior, and this is why I'm so stern with you." Hammond said and he swallowed hard.
"But aside from Daniel gating back to La Rochelle, his new team included, all operations are hereby suspended, as of now!" Addison, Haden, and their marine and Army counterparts shouted together and Sam swallowed hard at that remark. "We have a final victory by the Jaffa destroying the symbiote queen Anubis would have used to create that army. And destroyed the source of the sarcophagus technology, he wouldn't be able to come up with a plan in 2 days."
"Before the reset now, so things are ending on that right now, while things end after the quartet get turned back into children. But Wes, you and your team, just join with Jean Luc, and the girls, but we better make this believable. But my suggestion here as Jean Luc could be seen as your younger brother, on that mission right now. As Billy is your godfather, you were the older of the two, so with that, the 9 of you shutdown the foothold." Haden said and Wesley nodded.
"Nice thinking, that works when we got marauders on board the ship, we need to fix that system, before it kills someone after the holodeck went crazy." Will said and Picard nodded in agreement, smiling, to his idea then. "Well with the adults is one thing, but a training mission in the next round, dad, Lal, Jake and me?" he said and Picard crossed his arms. "Whoever causes you to get stuck in there is asking for the reprimand from hell." they said together sternly then.
"You guys are my favorite students anyway, add Lal and it's turning into a constant case of pranks and practical jokes with the radio." Picard said and he smiled as he felt his heart heal, now that the truth was out, he could return to being their golden child again. "Love you too Sir, I missed this between us, but after he gave me that rant, about duty to your friends. My friends are you, that I never wanted to let you, mom or Commander Riker down." he said to him then.
"We understand, and we forgive you, just before the brat comes by your room, just tell me the truth, and we go from there, in knowing Sito was about to lay a hint to us. You been working at the piloting station on board the ship for 4 years, as you knew this. As you did it with Data all the time, you need signals from your friends to make a move this risky work." she said and he nodded smiling as he hugged her, before hugging Picard and they tightened their arms then.
"As such right now, it's now a case of them knowing, SGA is Starfleet, and we banned that maneuver with the deathgliders ever since here." Daniel said sternly and the crew nodded. "And you're my mentor, be it my you, but never mind that, you're my mentor as an ancient here. That I took what you taught me and utilized it, and to someone like Hanson, he's a red, but idolizes these idiots, he's seeing it as I lost my mind, on stage 1." he said and Daniel nodded.
"By that you mean getting the address to the next planet, after we got tagged by the system right now, that's what Jack thought when I went to pretending he was still our primary. Yeah okay, but never mind what these brats think of you, focus, what do you have. What do you need, if you're out of supplies, study which planets and animals are safe to eat. To which ones aren't, survival rules in going camping and so on, okay." he said and Wesley nodded sternly.
"Aye aye Sir." he said smiling and he clapped his hand on his shoulder with a smile then. "Yeah you're better off in SGA/Starfleet Commander, you have the gift of leadership and the kids. They're all ready to follow you into the flames right now." Haden said smiling and he nodded. "Thanks Sir, I appreciate that right now." he said to him and he smiled then. "Well it's time right now, but Colonel that sting operation was meant to show the true falling apart bonds."
"On this team right now, but does this ring any bells right now, Captain, hmm, does it now." Sanderson said, pulling a tape out and putting into the machine, as they saw Jack sitting there. "Do you know what this is about, sir?" she asked him and he shook his head then. "Beats me, but maybe it's a new mission." he said and Sam frowned, then looked questioningly at Teal'c as the Jaffa entered the briefing room as he sat down and as she said it to him then.
"Teal'C, have you heard anything?" she asked and he shook his head. "I have not, my presence was requested by General Hammond." he said to her and Jack nodded. "Same here, and I was right in the middle of something." he said and before the conversation was interrupted then. "Yes, Colonel, no doubt your overdue personnel evaluations." he said sternly at that and Jack winced, then nodded, trying on a charming smile at that remark.
"Of course, sir, wouldn't dream of putting those off." he said to him and Hammond shook his head as he came in, followed by Simmons, who was, as usual, dressed in a civilian suit, complete with a thick maroon tie the exact color of his rubbery lips. Jack's smile faded. "Hiya, Frank and here I was hoping to go without the pleasure of your company. And for at least another few years." he said and Simmons gave him an oily grin to that remark then.
"I'm sure you'll be glad I'm here once you've heard what I have to say." He sat down at the head of the table, Hammond frowning and raising an eyebrow before sitting at his side. "Shouldn't we wait for Daniel?" Sam asked pointedly as she gave Simmons her polite little smile. "Doctor Jackson is why we're here, actually." Simmons replied and Jack narrowed his eyes. "I'm not gonna like this, am I?" he said to that, and Sam froze at that remark then.
In remembering the last time she heard him say that as Teal'C crossed his arms at that remark "I doubt it, O'Neill," Teal'c said, as his dark gaze never left the NID Colonel, Simmons stared back at him blandly, his smile growing a little wider. "Enough, you two, let's just get this over with." Hammond said and Simmons flicked him a quick, resentful glance out of the corner of his eye, but nodded dutifully as he got started then and Daniel smiled sternly at this then.
"Oh just so you know, I planted the evidence needed to get this started now, knowing he, that's Jack, was going to treat my research like the plague." he said and she swallowed hard as Teal'C and Hammond crossed their arms. "You planted it, you set me up!" she said shaking and he crossed his arms. "You're not innocent Captain, after you keep trying to use Jolinar for reliable information, her knowledge is not worth the paper it's printed." he said and she swallowed.
"We have discovered a leak in the archeo- linguistics department." he said without preamble as he drew 3 thickly bound scientific journals from his briefcase and passed them out. Jack peered down at the cover, A Study of Linear B Script As Seen in Early Pre-Dynastic Cultures-A Theory of Cross Cultural Pollination. "This should mean something to me?" he asked, pushing the journal away with his fingertips and the archeology department sighed.
"It contains several examples of Goa'uld writing. Examples that were found off-world, by SG teams." Sam said, as he folded his hands and nodded, as if his case was now closed. "You think Daniel had something to do with this?" Jack said as Sam shook her head, flipping through the pages. "He would never, just who's name is on the articles in question exactly right now?" she asked at that and he explained that to her then gently.
"They were submitted anonymously, but publisher refuses to disclose the names, but we did discover a money trail from the publisher to an offshore account. We have not yet determined who the account belongs to, but under the circumstances, we do have our suspicions." he said and they exchanged shocked looks then. "This is foolishness, Daniel Jackson's loyalty is not to be questioned." he said to him then at that remark.
"Nobody is beyond reproach, something you may become familiar with yourself soon." Simmons replied as he gave Teal'c a meaningful look. "Colonel, you are not here to make vague threats against my people. Get to the point." Hammond said and after another brief, resentful glance. "Yes, sir. The point is that Doctor Jackson is well known for his theories on cross cultural pollination, a subject that this journal deals with in depth."
"He is the head of the department in question. He had access to all the samples of Goa'uld script we found in the journal. And he has a long history of bucking the rules when it suits him to do so." he said and Jack cocked his head to one side, then looked at Hammond, ignoring Simmons entirely. "With all due respect, sir, are we actually going to sit here and listen to this crap?" he asked him and Jack swallowed hard, at that remark.
Now seeing for all the times he treated him like crap, and Sam with him, Daniel created a clean way to prove he was better off in the SGA. "I'm afraid so, Colonel." he replied grimly and then said it sternly then. "The NID has some valid concerns. They have asked us to assist in their investigation of this matter." he added and they froze. "Assist how?" Sam asked, glaring openly at Simmons. Simmons grinned, obviously relishing what he was about to say.
"We wish to initiate a sting operation. An NID operative will approach Doctor Jackson, with an offer to publish in a reputable archeological journal. An anonymously and for a great deal of money, if he can provide more unique writing samples. That are like those found in this one." He said as he tapped the journal in front of Sam, who was sitting closest and Jack nodded impatiently as he answered him then sternly at that remark then.
"Yeah, and when Daniel tells your guy where to stick his offer, you'll back off?" he said to him then "I'm afraid it's not that simple, we've had concerns about Doctor Jackson's loyalty for quite some time, the current investigation. Now, is an ideal opportunity to clear his name-or discover his true nature-once and for all." he said to him and Hammond translated that as Sam swallowed hard, realizing she just proved to them at that.
Her loyalties were NID and Jack and Daniel, Teal'C and Hammond meant nothing to her. "Or more accurately, where your true loyalties lay Colonel, Captain, as Teal'C and I proved it now. We, Walter, Siler and Graham, we all proved beyond a shadow of doubt we were his friends, but he knew that Teal'C and I just weren't in it, we never wanted to do this, and just weeks after this, comes the Enkarans, proving even more." he said and she swallowed hard at that remark.
As they watched the tape further. "Cease your meaningless circles, what is your intention?" Teal'c said, placing his hands flat on the table and Simmons' smile faded somewhat. "Quite simply-since you do seem to insist on putting things in the simplest possible way, we want to test him. Push him to his limits, and see how he reacts." he said to him and that did it, as Jack answered him at that remark then as Jack paled then
"I've heard enough, whatever you're asking for, the answer is no. No way you're getting your hands on him." he said and Simmons smiled as he raised an eyebrow. "That is not your decision to make." he said to him and Hammond sighed. "He does have orders backing this up, Orders that I have no intention of following blindly. But if they do manage to stand up..." He said as he spread his hands, shrugging and she stepped in then.
"What do you mean, 'push' Daniel?" Sam said and as she jumped in before Jack could make another caustic remark at that remark and she and Jack both paled. Realizing this proved beyond a shadow of a doubt, they were no friends of his, although Teal'C. And the engineering team were, and with them was 3/4's the medical team and Hammond at that remark. "That will be up to you, we want Doctor Jackson so become so dissatisfied with SG-1."
"And indeed, the SGC in general that he chooses to resign, then, when he has no steady income and is most likely angry. And with his former employers, the operative will make the offer. If that offer is still refused, we will have conclusive proof of this 'loyalty' that you're all so sure of." he said and the IOA nodded smiling in agreement. "Point proven when the program is revealed to the entire planet, I get a new version of my job."
"Better pay, better hours, no constant peril and can study to my hearts content, I'm back with my original team too now, back with my mentor/grandmother. And happily working and doing the job, the way we think it should be done, no constant peril. But all exploration and science now." Daniel said and she swallowed hard, realizing he wanted to quit, but with no back up program back then he was stuck, till their and the Russian military made it public now finally.
And now he could switch programs and back to working happily with better friends and a higher lease on life now, back to being himself again. "You think Daniel will quit the SGC? Not gonna happen." Jack said in protest then. "True, but everyone has limits here to how much they can take and he's close to it right now from my sources." Simmons said as he pressed his fingertips together, and then tapped them against his chin as he went further.
"In fact, you're already headed in the right direction: Mission reports often find their way to me, Colonel. Doctor Jackson is frequently chastised, dismissed, and has been outright ignored on more than one occasion. All you need do is step up that sort of thing. He won't put up with it forever." he said and Daniel nodded sternly. "Damn right I had enough, in fact I wanted to quit ever since Reese, but with no back up program now.
"There was no chance getting a job anywhere else, even going to Ein Gedi proved ineffective after you and the NID came after me at the time. That my one option was hoping, praying, that the president alerted the rest of the planet. And to the program's existence and he does when I'm ascended and there's my backdoor movement, I have sanctuary. By using the planets to every country inside the IOA, starting with France." he said and she swallowed hard at that.
"Only this time, instead of traveling around the kingdom, you're safely hidden with me, my baby boy." Pyrus said smiling and he looked down smiling at that. "Yep, 5 of the 10 weeks safely hidden with you, before we do Lord Andre and Pierre last of all. And as they do Ladies Nichole, Rodmilla, and Lords Claude and Gabriel now." he said and Pyrus nodded smiling gently. "Well that works, we do all 12 of you, before the end of the 11 weeks and we get a bonus now."
"By finding that long range communication device and destroying it." Cam said and Landry nodded in agreement to his opinion. "Yep, keep it to the system lord renegades, and the timer ends on the mission and the sarcophagus, as we do it a second time. And make sure we get every loose end tied up right now and then things restart now. As you're being who you were meant to be right now." he said as they watched the tape carefully and then heard it then.
"You are incorrect, Daniel Jackson is a valued member of SG-1." Teal'c said, cutting off Jack's sputtered reply and Simmons raised an eyebrow. "Oh? 'Shut up, Daniel, is that clear enough for you?' Ring any bells?" he asked and Jack stiffened visibly, and Sam's mouth dropped open as Teal'c scowled, his hands curling into ominous fists on the table. "That was not in any report." Jack said, protesting that after a moment, he smiled small, curved smile.
"I have my sources, are you suggesting that you didn't say that? Was I misinformed?" he asked him and Jack glared and said nothing. "Just keep that up, and carry the slights over to your personal lives. I assume you have social connections as well? Team nights?" Simmons said, flicking his fingers as if dismissing the whole argument, lips curled distastefully around the words and Sam and Jack exchanged irritated looks then at this.
"Yes, Frank: People with friends do tend to spend time with them, maybe someone can explain that concept to you." Jack said and Simmons but for a bare, irritated tapping of his manicured fingernails against the table then. "Well, start shutting Doctor Jackson out of them, whisper to each other where he can see you. Stop talking when he enters a room, let him overhear you complaining about him, or making jokes at his expense.
"I'm sure he'll get the picture fairly quickly. He's a smart man, after all." he said and Daniel nodded sadly in agreement and Davidson pulled him into a hug. And he buried his head into his shoulder. "You see what you have done young lady, he had nothing left to give and just gave up, that a fresh start was for the best now. But making him relive his parents accident by simulating it, you're throwing, not Shyla in his face repeatedly, but his parents, young lady."
"That's as cruel as you can get, all the successes he has had, and the single failure is his trying to save his parents." Sanderson said sternly to her and she swallowed hard at that remark shaking then, never once considering that was what made him go the extra mile. "This is ridiculous, you can't possibly think we'd go along with that." Sam said as she leaned forward, her eyes snapping, her chin thrust out and he shrugged as he answered her then.
"Your choice. Major, if the SGC waives their right to take part in this investigation, then of course, you will all have to accept whatever our own search turns up. If Doctor Jackson is indeed guilty, you will have no right to contest our verdict." he said and Teal'C shook his head then. "Daniel Jackson is not guilty, you search will discover nothing." he said to that. "Don't be so sure." he said to that and Sam swallowed hard then.
As Jack shook his head, and threw his hands up in the air. "Sir?" he said, once again bypassing Simmons, in speaking to Hammond. "You know they'll just dummy up some 'evidence' and put Daniel away." he said to this remark. "You shouldn't make accusations with nothing to back it up," Simmons protested and he nodded. "Neither should you, you know damn well Daniel has nothing to do with this." He said to this then as he went further.
While smacked his palm flat on the journal in front of him. "This is just you trying to get him out of the SGC, and forcing us to do your dirty work." he said to him then. "This of this as an opportunity, despite Doctor Jackson's many shortcomings. That you've always been his proponent, but here is your chance to prove once and for all. That he would never betray the SGC, once the operation is over, he can return to his normal work."
"And you can all begin treating him as you usually do." he said to and they exchanged irritated looks "That's if he's willing to come back, what makes you think he'd work for people who did something like this to him?" she asked and Jack nodded. "You all have orders, I'm sure he'd understand." Simmons said and Jack snorted. "Yeah, right, if he doesn't come back, that's just icing on the cake for you, isn't it?" he said to him then.
And Simmons' eyes narrowed and he leaned forward, dropping the smile. "Listen, Jack, I'm here as a courtesy, I don't have to ask for your cooperation at all. You have been ordered to participate in this operation, and if you defy those orders, there will be consequences, but if any of you," he said, sweeping the table with his eyes, "Now, inform Doctor Jackson that he's under suspicion, you will all be brought up on charges."
"Serious charges, I assure you." He said to him then. "Bullshit charges is more like it, I'm done listening to this." Jack said as he stood abruptly, his hands clenched at his sides, glaring down at Simmons. "Colonel, sit down." Hammond said sternly and Jack stared at him, a muscle in his jaw working silently. Then he nodded and sat down, complying out of respect for the General and nothing else as Hammond fixed the NID Colonel with a hard look then.
"You've said what you came here to say, once I've verified that these 'orders' are genuine…" he started to say and Simmons interrupted gently. "Oh, I think you'll find you can't dodge this one, General you do not understand here. And after, now, the amount of times Dr. Jackson was proven right on missions right now. And about the moral side effects here, Euronda, I do recall Addison said that break orders here right now."
"They're both being court martialed for it, while prior to that, just to keep going they threw him to the wolves. And Jackson pays them both back, and Frasier, with them, by testing another out and activating it right now. Just how long can this back and forth continue, before he decides 'screw this, I want Catherine back. Just so I can join her department again, I don't belong in this rathole.'." he said to him then gently at that.
"General, Addison and Sanderson had a very long talk, after a discussion with a Pavel Markov, said that once Nirrti is dead. They're planning to contact every country on the planet and are making the program go live. As such right now, this means that the reps are going to activate the SGA, as Dr. Langford said. In the SGA, they have complete autonomy now, that civilian ran with military help." he said and Jack paled.
"But the SGA has one sure fire way to prevent the matters of something like puncture through a sun's core, because based on the reports. The DHD has a way to navigate it safely, but we can get more done by trade deals than by your version. But that's what he would be doing if West never reactivated Colonel O'neill now. And he would be happier then he is right now, after 3 situations, eroding the fabric of so called trust."
"After the Za'tarc incident right now." he said and Hammond nodded. "Pavel Markov, as in Dr. Markov?" he asked and Simmons nodded. "He's her father and a family friend, Jackson's mother had contacts all over. This was how he knew her on sight, Star Trek character appearance not withstanding, the last time. That he saw Markov was when he was 13, at the time." he said and Hammond slammed his hand on the table at that.
"Da, knowing his family friends was helping in the long run right now, that Colonel Chekhov never realized he is the Danny Jackson I speak so highly of. That which resulted in a fast decision, as with a Russian team involved." Markov said and she swallowed hard at that remark. "Translation, Daniel's skills are better put to use in trade deals and research, then being a field person with the current circumstances." he translated sternly and she swallowed hard then.
And that did it. "Addison is waiting till after we kill Nirrti, if Cronus doesn't do it first right now, to have our government and the Russians. Go live and tell the Chinese, British, France, and others as they reactivate the SGA again right now. That's the department that he belonged to, before West pulled Colonel O'neill out of retirement. That's where he belongs, civilian ran, with military help." he said to clarify to Hammond.
"Machello's symbiote killing weapons, Euronda, are you telling me right now…." Hammond started to say and Simmons nodded as he said to him and he froze up carefully as Teal'C nodded. "Yes General that's exactly what I'm saying right now, because the only ones showing they are. Are you and Teal'C, but these two sure aren't as I said, how much longer can he take it right now in truth?" he said and Hammond nodded at that.
"Sooner or later Addison and Chekhov are going to make the program public knowledge, we just think he's better off with his original team, and frankly. I know he's had enough of this crap, no matter they say he can take it, he's close." he said and he nodded. "Yes alright I understand right now, but frankly, I'm not the directly involved in this, but his team is right now." he said and the duo looked at him in shock.
"Are they here listening to this, though?" he added and Simmons flicked his eyes at the camera and he and Teal'C nodded. "He basically just told me that Daniel's entire side of the generals are in the surveillance room right now. Listening to the entire exchange, and that was a test after Machello and Euronda, we had to get enough. Just to get Daniel a chance at freedom, so though he was glad to see me and Teal'C, he was wary of you." he said and she swallowed.
"What?, Sir, you can't be serious." Jack said in shock, as he shoved his chair back, standing again. "Sir?" Sam protested at the same time, shaking her head, while Teal'c simply leaned back and folded his arms. "I will not." he said to him then and Hammond held a hand up, stilling all of them, his focus still on Simmons. "You are dismissed." he said to him and Simmons rose to his feet, taking his sweet time about it, as he laid a parting shit to Jack.
"I will, of course, expect regular status reports." he said to him then "You hardly need them seeing as you seem to know everything that goes on here anyway." he said to him and after a smug smile sent Jack's way, Simmons waited for the General to nod. and then he walked out, his head held high, still smiling, as everyone turned to stare at Hammond. Who was obviously waiting for him to tell them it was never going to happen he said it then firmly.
