The wigglytuff was later standing in front of an obstacle course above water.
"What is this meant to be?" the treecko asked.
"Your next test, it's not always about fighting, sometimes you will be put in situations where you have test your durability and flexibility by making your way through this obstacle course, no one has finished this on their first attempt, you might end that streak though" the wigglytuff said.
"I seriously doubt that" the snivy said while leaning against a post.
"I don't need you undermining me, thank you" the treecko said to the snivy before looking at the obstacle course ahead.
"Your time starts whenever you make your way past the starting line and finishes when you get past the finish line, be advised it doesn't pause everytime you fall off, so try and be quick about this" the wigglytuff said as the treecko took a deep breath before stretching off to warm himself up ready as he made his way towards the obstacle course, running past the start line as he leaped from platform before a swinging axe in the way before timing it right as he leaped inbetween it, landing on a platform on the other side of it before carrying on.
"He's really good at this" the snivy said while looking at him with a smile as the wigglytuff turned and face her.
"Yeah..., also what's this smile on your face, never seen that before" the wigglytuff asked.
"What smile, I'm not smiling" the snivy replied while trying to hide her smile.
"Yeah, sure..." the wigglytuff chuckled.
The treecko ran up to a rope before leaping and swings on it to get to the other side before letting go, landing on a platform before looking open to notice some wall jump platforms ahead and starts wall jumping from side to side before landing on another platform and notices the finish line ahead.
"Okay, just one last jump" the treecko said to himself before a swing ahead that was a bit far before looking down as he took a few steps back before taking a deep breath as he ran towards the swing, leaping off the platform before hanging off the swing as he started zip lining towards the finish line before it reaches the end as the treecko lets go, rolling towards the finish line before he stopped rolling as a horn was heard going off.
"He did it..., in his first attempt..., he actually did it..." the snivy said as the wigglytuff applauded with the snivy applauding as the treecko looked around to notice lots of pokemon applauding him as he raised his hands in the air in victory.
The camera panned away from the treecko to reveal the sableye spying on him in bushes as the gengar's face appeared in the darkness behind the sableye before his whole body popped out of the darkness as the sableye felt his presence before quickly turning around in fear.
"B-boss, what a pleasant surprise..." the sableye said nervously.
"Enjoying spying on the treecko, what have you found out so far?" the gengar asked as the duo look up at the treecko.
"Nothing much, but this is guy is good, I never seen a Pokemon like him before" the sableye said.
"Hm..., there's something different about that treecko, but I haven't put my finger on it yet, but he is good I'll give you that, but not good enough when I plan to give him the slip, let's wait till he's alone to have a talk with him" the gengar said before vanishing back into the shadows with the sableye following.
The treecko was escorted back by riding a pelipper before leaping off it and lands back at the start of the obstacle course.
"You were incredible, I never seen a Pokemon move like that before, how are you able to move like that?" the wigglytuff asked.
"Well let's just say that I'm not your average Pokemon" the treecko replied.
"Well then, I think you deserve to have a higher ranking, you're no longer a rookie mate, congratulations" the wigglytuff said before holding her hand up for a handshake as the treecko looked at her hand before accepting her handshake with a smile as the treecko walked off.
The treecko walked up to a tent.
"Treecko" a voice said from behind him as he turned around to notice the snivy walking up to him before standing in front of him.
"Just wanted to say that you're incredible for how you done the obstacle course, and I would love to be your partner" the snivy said.
"You mean as a friend right, not just as a..." the treecko said nervously as the snivy blushed.
"Oh yeah of course, meant that way of course, and we can also ask that psyduck and wynaut join us" the snivy said.
"Interesting offer, I'm willing to accept" the treecko said before reaching out for a handshake as the snivy took his hand and shook it before walking off and entered his tent before closing it behind him and turned around to notice the gengar was there sitting on a chair eating some berries.
"You're quite an interesting fella treecko, I been watching your little stunts that you pulled in that obstacle course, very impressive" the gengar said.
"Gengar..." the treecko said while glaring at the gengar before putting his hand behind his back as a vine was growing out of his hand.
"Don't even think about using a grass move with that hand behind your back, so why don't we stop the move and just have a conversation" the gengar said as the treecko continues to glare at the gengar as the vines growing out of his hands go back into his body as he puts both of his hands in front of him as the sableye closed the tent behind the treecko.
"What do you want, talk about how you're brainwashing pokemon to become wild animals to take over the island, why don't you brainwash me" the treecko asked.
"Not till I ask you some questions, the most important one being, who are you, you just come out of nowhere and have some skills an average pokemon should not have, you must be hiding something about yourself, I'm thinking..., you must have been a human originally right?" the gengar said as the treecko's eyes went wide.
"He's a human, but he's not a human, he's a treecko boss" the sableye said in confusion.
"That's what he is now, but originally he was a human, oh this is just beautiful, and nobody else knows about this right, don't worry, I'm not going to spill out your secret, if you do something for me first" the gengar said.
"And what would that be?" the treecko asked.
"There is a gem located in a tree, that is only accessible by one who is deemed worthy, and you seem worthy enough, fetch me that gem, and I can send you home, do we have a deal" the gengar said while holding his hand out for a handshake as the treecko looked at the gengar's hand before shaking it.
"Now where's this tree?" the treecko asked.
"You'll know it when you see it" the gengar replied as he pulled out a photo of an old crooked tree as the treecko took the photo to have a look at it before looking up to notice the gengar and sableye were gone.
"Guess I have no choice..." the treecko said to himself before putting the photo away as he walked out of the tent.
