It was shortly after Belos' death and defeat. Shortly after Luz inspired the Collector to be better person and empathize with mortals (though in fairness he was a kid whom didn't know any better and whom would be able to discipline a god child?) Families and friends were reunited. A few relationships or at least hookups were formed in the aftermath. There is some emotional stuff to work through but that can wait until later, they would rather enjoy the moment of joy in that the islands were free of dictators and tormentors for now.

And it was a chance that people for once could speak their minds again now they were on a high of emotions and now is the time because they felt they may chicken out once the emotion high died down. "I want a divorce." Alador Blight said to his wife Odelia.

"Excuse me?" the snooty woman asked. From the look on her face it was the last thing she ever expected to hear from him.

"End our marriage, official and/or judicial separation, dis-union, break-up, a split, a severance, the parting, a rupture between…" Alador ranted as if he was giving a lecture at the university.

"I got that but…why?" Odalia asked, whom now started to look frazzled. The other Blights gave her a look that said 'Really?' but she didn't catch on.

"You're a horrible person." Alador said. It was as simple as he could put it. He knew his wife wasn't stupid so she should have been able to understand just that.

"What do you mean?" Odalia asked. Apparently Alador was mistaken.

"You knew about Belos' plan of genocide…" Edric said, as he counted on his fingers.

"Wanted to leave our friends and family and anyone else to die…" Emira said as she also counted on her fingers alongside her twin brother.

"Not to mention controlling every facet of my life, determining what I should study or do upon growing up, forcing me into friendships and activities I don't want and ruining the ones that I want. Without any consideration for my own feelings, and the fact you treat us more like trophies or pets to show off then your actual children." Amity started to rant. "And I have seen what a true mother figure is truly like. Camilla Noceda treated me as one of her own while in the human realm. She was actively involved in our lives and tried her damn best to make everything easier or comfortable for us. Despite the strain it put on her time and finances, she worked hard and put everything in it to make sure we could feel a glimpse of happiness again. She didn't require me to be someone she wanted to be. She let me be me. Everything she did, it was all for me and Luz and the others while everything you do is about your own ego and pride, you selfish BITCH!"

Everyone in the Blight family stared wide-eyed at her and even a few onlookers. Odalia looked like she was about to have a stroke. Amity blushed a bit as she said. "Dang, I was holding in a lot more than I thought."

"You ungrateful brat! Everything I did was for the family. I was harsh and strict but I had to be because you couldn't be trusted to make the right decisions and making trouble otherwise. I just had to be cruel to be kind. And sure, I aligned with Belos and the Collector, but it was to protect all of you." Odalia said.

"What about everyone else. Maybe you didn't care about the friends you disapproved but those you call friends or allies or the ones you do approve of were among them as well?" Amity asked, feeling her anger rising again.

"It would be a shame but if we lived, any sacrifice would be worth it. Besides, what chance would I have to stand up against Belos?" Odalia said, trying to justify herself.

"Many people were not strong or skilled enough to stand up against either of them but they still tried." Alador noted. "The Rebellion, Amity and her friends. They didn't give in and kept going. Because they believed into fighting for someone but themselves."

"Yeah, she kicked major butt." Emira noted.

"Yeah, so please don't get back at us for all the pranks, dear little sister whom now scares me." Emric added.

"No promises." Amity droned.

"And maybe you are not a fighter. You didn't do even a bare minimum. Even when I was a puppet. I was aware and saw how some people would try to sneak in to catch a glimpse or take the puppets of their loved ones back. Even if they failed, they did everything they could." Alador sighed. "You didn't even come to see me. Even during the cleanups after each game that the Collector would have you do, you didn't treat me like any of the other puppets, just objects to put away and ignore. You didn't bother to try."

Alador's face, normally very neutral, showed anger and hurt. "Our marriage was arranged but I felt we had something. Mutual respect, even care. Not sure if it was love, probably not, but something. That after all this time I was more to you then the inventor of the products we sold, a key to the profit we earned, or an occasional bedwarmer. But no, I meant as little as anyone else to you. I didn't say or do anything about it for a long time. Because I admit that I am emotionally and socially unaware about a lot of things. I thought it was how tings were supposed to be. But I learned that it is not. It is not right. And how you treated the kids was certainly not right either. You have given them many issues. So for their sake, it is best to get rid of the awful mother they have."

"Oh, don't go casting stones, you have not been a good father yourself." Odalia said.

"Maybe. I admit that. But that means it is time I step up from now on. I don't know how I'm going to do it but I will try my damn hardest to be a good father or at least not a horrible father from now on. I admit my flaws, I admit my mistakes. The problem is that you can't and you are hence going to be stuck where you are while I move forward;"

"Don't make me laugh, the biggest mistake you make is separating from me. It is through me that our company thrives, my business savviness allowed us to make snails and let this family live in luxury. I made Blight Industries great. Without me, it'll fall apart." Odalia bragged.

"You are a decent businesswoman. But you are far from the only one. I can find someone else to help me run the company. If not there are other Abomination-themed corporations whom I would sell my services too. My kids have a good friend group whom could help support and I don't know if I could call them friends, I know a few acquaintances whom would help." Alador said.

"You know that if you drop me, the Obsidian family will…" Odalia growled.

"I DO NOT CARE WHAT THOSE STUCK UP RELATIVES OF YOURS HAVE TO SAY!" Alador said. Odalia and the kids were taken aback. They can't recall the last time Alador shouted like that…if ever. "Our marriage was a partnership between the Blights and the Obsidians, and what we needed from the marriage was done. Blight Industries had a daughter-in-law to run the company since the son was not a business expert. A heir to both families was conceived. Blight's profits have kept the Obsidian family afloat after a series of failed investments. Not to mention your family may not have agreed to willingly cooperate with Belos. And if they did, they are going to be outcasts, just like you. You have far more to lose form this then I did…"

"But…I…" Odalia stammered. She hadn't expected quiet, spineless Alador to tear her down like that.

"I may have the attention span of a goldfish, but I had listened when the arrangements between our families were made. I am not totally unaware." Alador said. "Just get out of our sight, out of our lives, out of our everything."

Odalia was at a loss for words. She looked around to see anyone on her side. Her children gave her venomous looks. It didn't appear she had a lot of support if any. But she wouldn't walk out if here without having the last word. "Fine, be that way you traitors! I will wait for you to grovel and beg to come back to me because you are unable to manage anything in life without my guidance. See you ruin your own lives but don't expect me to care or come to your aid."

"Nothing changes for me. You were already pretty much a non-factor. As for me, my life is looking pretty good. A woman whom is a better mother to be then you'll ever be, a loving girlfriend whom would go through hell and back and basically did for us…whom also was chosen by the Titan, defeated Belos and reformed the Collector…I think I'll be fine. Just leave, Odalia. Eons would pass before we give you a second thought." Amity said.

Odalia didn't get the last laugh. This was it…after years of being a top dog…she was not at the bottom. No respect, everyone abandon her and they wouldn't spit on her if she were on fire. It was something she refused to admit. Her face went red as she grits her teeth and raised her arm as she was ready to strike Amity. But she was stopped as a shadow was cast over her. She looked up to see a huge, monstrous abomination, with sharper edges and a more monstrous visage then she saw before, growling at her. Alador, whose eyes glowed purple and had his hand raised looked at her. As if to dare him, to give him a reason.

She looked down and Amity had the same glow in her eyes. Abomination good covered her hands in clawed gauntlets as another glob covered her back and huge sharp spider-like legs came out. The twins hadn't summoned anything but they had their hands raised, ready to draw a spell circle. Odalia's anger died down as her self-preservation instincts took over. She gulped as she stood down. She just huffed, put her nose in the air and turned around. She would walk off…

For about two to three steps before she ran into something. She found herself in a huge cage and had run into one of the bars. "Hey, what this this about? Whom did that? Know that I'll…" she then heard a fingersnap and her voice was gone. She grabbed at her throat and felt…no sore throat. She tried screaming but it was like someone pressed 'mute' on a remote. She stomped her feet, waved her fists and turned red, like a toddler making a tantrum but no sound came out. She eventually tired herself out doing so.

"Man, was she annoying." A childish voice said. It was the Collector. Despite having turned everyone back and being 'good' now, he was still basically a kid god and to be feared. Alador instinctively stepped in front of his kids. "And you lived with her for so long…I lived with her for a few months and she started to annoy me." They said. "She was bad right, and bad people are locked up. So I did that for you. She'll get her voice back…later…Maybe lots later. If I don't forget." They turned to Amity. "Also, breaking through my doll transformation spell to draw a glyph with sheer willpower, mad respect." They patted their chest with their little fist and pointed at her. "And you are right. Camilla is much better. She's real nice." They had a bright smile and for a nanosec they thought of him as an actual kid instead of a reality warper. But only briefly.

"Er…Thanks?" Amity noted.

"I think I nearly turned everyone back now. I can fix the islands…Which one is your home? I can make the home better if you want? Hot tub, arcade…" the Collector said.

"Just…the way it was, we are going to make the necessary changes we want ourselves. Turn it into a family bonding thing." Alador said. "Er…it can be turned into a bonding thing right?" he asked as he turned to his kids.

"I think we can." Amity said.

"All rightie." Collector shrugged. "Can I at least throw a party? To celebrate that meanie-pants Belos finally being gone and as an apology?" they turned to Odalia. "She and the other meanies are not invited, obviously."

That they couldn't refuse.

"Well, it seems for once your face is not stuck in 'resigned to an awful fate' mode. I think that weird twitch on your face can almost be construed as a smile." Darius noted as he and Alador met at a bar again.

"Well, Odalia is gone and I am trying to feel more positive." Alador said. "It's a progress."

"You have been patient with that broad. Your patience is something to be admired. Not your brains, mind you but your patience…" Darius took a sip of the red transparent drink that had a sort of eyeball in it. "And maybe without that woman nagging in your ear you may be able to build something half decent for once."

"Still twice as impressive as anything you ever made." Alador sniped as he took a sip of his own drink which was an odd fluorescent green. He hiccuped a few bubbles after taking his drink.

"Hey, whom was a former coven head and rebellion leader in secret? While you spend your days in a stuffy lab?" Darius noted.

"That's because I'm not a glory hog like you, Darius." Alador said.

"Oh, you're getting your bite back since you dumped Odalia. Mind you that just felt like a nibble. Give it fifty years and you may be able to deliver a decent burn." Darius replied.

"Since I am going to be focused on being a dad and family man and trying to rebuild my company I have literally a thousand things vastly more important to worry about then your need for attention." Alador shot back.

"Screw you, Al!"

"Screw you too, Dar!"

Silence for a few moments.

"My place, fifteen minutes? My kids are out with their boy and/or girlfriends." Alador suggested.

"Sure. Don't disappoint like anything else since we graduated." Darius added as both finished their drinks.

"Why are you even here?" Odalia asked. She had been in prison and it was visitation hours. She was forced to wear an anklet that prevented her use of her magic and she was in tacky prison robes.

"Just dropping off the rest of your personal belongings to be returned to you once you get out in several years. But maybe I'm also here to rub salt in the wound." Alador said. He looked more well rested, happy and cleaner then Odalia ever saw him. He handed her a box. "These are the things you are allowed to have on your person without risk."

She opened the box and there were a few harmless trinkets inside, but there were also a few pictures. One of those pictures was of Alador and his kids being happy at home. "As you can see, without you we were able to come together as a family."

A second picture showed Amity and him working on something. "Amity is doing great. She has my smarts, and your business savviness. Only she didn't inherit the ugly parts of your personality. While for now she loves to go on her little adventures, she wouldn't mind taking over Blight Industries and taking it into a new and better direction. She also loves to experiment with new abomination techniques even I haven't thought off. I really have a bright and gifted daughter."

Another few pictures shows Amity with Luz, Emira with Viney and Emric with someone that she hadn't seen before. "Our kids are in healthy relationships, not like ours was."

A picture showed the Blights and the Noceda families coming together for Amity's birthday. "And like Amity I got to see what it was like having a good family."

The final picture was a selfie of him and Darius. Alador was wearing a chamber robe which wasn't closed around his upper torso all the way showing off the physique that briefly reminded Odalia why conceiving was not a problem in their relationship. And Darius wore one of Alador's old t-shirts (he rarely wore them since with how overworked he was he basically never shifted out of his work uniform). Odalia's eyes widened at that one specificially. "WHAT THE F*** WAS THAT ALADOR?" she blurted out.

"That was the sound of our f***ing divorce being finalized, and me moving on…BITCH!" Alador said as he let out a maniacal laugh. "Oh, that felt good, I was keeping that in for a while. Anyhow, just reminding you how much better our lives are without you and rubbing it in."

"You came here to make fun of me? You think this is funny?" Odalia asked.

"Hilarious, actually." Alador said. "Now if you excuse me, I want to be in time for dinner with the Nocedas. I would say have a nice life, but that's out of the question. I can only wish you as little a crappy life as you can get given the circumstances." Alador just got up and left.

"What? Come back here! How dare you…You're nothing without me, nothing! You are not allowed to be happy. It will fall apart; I swear I will have my…" Odalia was then dragged away by the warden back to her cell. "Let go of me you big lumbering oaf? You know who I am, I am Odalia Obsidian!"

"No one cares!" the warden droned.

As Alador walked out, he pulled out something from his pocket. It was a mini-abomination blob with a camera for an eye. "The others would be amused by the look on her face." He said happily and softly.
