The Front Lines: L.T. Season 01 Episode 03

Spider-Man was out on patrol where a woman had been giving the street level cops a report stating "Look, I don't know who or what it was. But someone or something in a green hood has stolen my purse." She'd stated to them.

"Looks like it's gonna be one of those nights." Spider-Man stated more to himself than anyone and swung across the street to where the thief had supposedly gone.

He'd seen a fake wall closing and kicked it down going inside and using a variation of the old Spider-Signal as a flashlight he began to look around the place. While exploring he discovered scriblings on the wall that read beware the sewer king on it. Hearing an oncoming subway mag lev train and waited for it to pass before kicking the sealed off part that he could see through open and continued his invsestigation.

Spider-Man continued to look around asking "You getting this, anything on the Sewer King?" while continuing to look around finding a door with the letters S and K painted onto it in large letters.

"Nothing, I'm doing a search for this Sewer King now." His mentor answered back as Terry tried the door but found it locked.

"Dead bolt, someone really doesn't want other people inside." He'd stated punching the doorknob knocking it completely out of the door before pulling it open casually. "Thank you Spider-Strength."Continuing to explore he set of some rattling cans on a string and webbed them to shut them up before jumping up onto the cieling "Guess I gotta crawl the rest of the way."

We then see a boy in a green hood crawling through a grate to escape with Spider-Man going around the long way since he couldn't fit down there and as he's crawling we see four large shapes with a large back and three fingers on each hand moving as if they were speaking. Though briefly as he continued to move as fast as he could to try to escape and pulled on the door with the SK symbol on it only to find Spider-Man waiting for him.

"Easy there kid, I'm not gonna hurt you." He'd told them but the Kid had backed up falling onto the tracks with the Spider Themed hero using his webs to swing down and grab them getting both of them safely to the other side as the train ran past.

Once they were safe he'd used his webbing to get both of them up topside and over to Gossamer which had opened up the top part exciting the kid and Spider-Man got him into the passenger seat buckling him in for safety before getting into the driver's seat and began to fly off though to where that had yet to be determined.

"Captain Stacy, this is Spider-Man requesting safehouse clearance. I got a kid here who needs to be looked after for a bit." He'd spoken into a com system.

"Request confirmed, tak ethem to safehouse C. We'll send someone to look after him." The voice of Captain Gwen Stacy spoke and the kid looked confused.

"Don't worry, these are nice people." He'd told them as they used cloaking on the Gossamer to land unnoticed and see that there was a police woman there who was older than Peter but not old enough to retire.

The Kid struggled when they were taking him inside but he'd been scared by the larger winged creature with horns and a tail. "Don't worry, Goliath is a gentle giant." The woman stated telling the kid the name of the tall thing in front of him. "I'm Eelisa, and Goliath is my husband."

"It is, nice to meet you." Goliath spoke with the kid looking up surprised that they were being nice and started to find this guy kinda cool.

"Have you eaten anything?" Elisa questioned the boy who'd shaken ther head no about having eaten yet. "C'mon, we've got a pizza waiting." She'd told them.

She'd led him to the table and he was about to sit down but Elisa stopped them taking the boy over to the sink. "Gotta wash your hands first." Though he only looked at her confused and Goliath had turned on the water washing his hands with the soap that was there before rinsing them off and the boy coppied them.

After everyone had cleaned up the Boy practically swallowed the slice of pizza like a tiny vaccuum. "Y'know you can get as much as you whish, we do have more than one." Goliath told them and that got the boy excited as he'd started to stuff himself.

"Poor kid must not have gotten enough wherever he was staying." Elisa stated to Goliath saddened by what they were seeing.

We see a man yelling at a bunch of kids who were in tattered clothing yelling out "UNTIL FROG IS FOUND THERE WILL BE NOTHING TO EAT FOR ANYONE! NOW OUT WITH YOU ALL OUT OUT OUT!" as we see those same four shadows from earlier clenching their fists that were shaking and one of them had taken out three pronged tools from their belt having one in each hand with another moving as if trying to stop them.

They'd managed to get the kid cleaned up and ready for bed with him looking under the bed as if he thought ther was something under there. "Don't worry, Goliath is here to scare away all that bad things." Which the kid nodded at and let out a big yawn before nodding off to sleep.

The next night Spider-Man had come back and asked "Anything new?" while the boy had come out recognizing him as the nice man who brought them there.

"We discovered that whoever was doing this to him called him Frog but he won't say anything. It was a game of cherades just to get that much." Elisa answered back about the boy.

"Okay Frog, listen. Are there any other kids where this Sewer King guy is?" Spider-Man asked kneeling down to look at the kid in the face. Though the kid named Frog couldn't see his face he did nod in response about the Sewer King having more kids. "Can you take me there?" He'd then questioned next.

Frog shook his head no hiding behind Elisa and Goliath gently put his hand on their head. "Remember I am here to scare away the bad things, I will go to protect you." he'd told them and the kid still didn't seem sure but finally nodded in response.

Frog had taken the two of them to where the other children were and given the okay signal when they'd been scared of Batman and Goliath with Spider-Man asking "You getting all this? Captain Stacy is gonna have a field day with this one."

"Ya, it's all being recorded. You can drop the feed off with the authorities after you two are done kicking that guy's ass for what's going on with those kids." Peter answered back saying that they're getting and recording all of this.

"Where is he?" Goliath questioned and Frog gestured to where to go walking along with them as they were going and holding onto Goliath's hand.

While they were going we see the four shadows moving across the tunnel behind them without a sound being heard and Frog leads them to a rope and gestured towards it with Goliath ringing the bell and all the kids had come running to see what was going on and he then ripped it down violently making it crash into the ground.

"I don't know what kind of monster would do this to you, but it's all over now." Spider-Man told the kids. "From now on you'll be treated as people should be treated."

"I think we'll be the judge of that!" The man we'd seen earlier yelling at the children spoke holding leashes around the necks of alligators "Yes we will."

"Seriously, I thought Gaters in the sewers was a myth." The Spider themed hero spoke up about what they were seeing.

"Welcome our guests." The man spoke releasing the leashes and letting tha gators move closer to them and the kids moved away scared watching from the tunnels. However neither Spider-Man nor Goliath were the least bit afraid.

Spider-Man and Goliath both had just kicked the Gators into the wall behind them making them drop from the impact and turned to where the Sewer King had been finding them running off. They'd given chase and slipped into a large drainage pipe dropping into a water pit with Goliath gliding over to the wall using his claws to bring himself to a stop.

Spider-Man had used his Webbing to pull himself to a wall and stuck to it as well. "Bravo, Bravo. You've caused me great distress you evil fiends. Yes. Yes. Yes you have." The Sewer King spoke clapping his hands together while sitting atop the pipes. "You've hurt my beloved pets, and you frighten my beloved children."

"Beloved Children?" Goliath questioned while looking over at the Sewer King as we see the shadows off in the distance once more.

"Yes, I feed them. I clothed them. I dciplin them. I teach them a trade." He'd stated walking to the center of the pipes.

The shadows meanwhile move with one of them taking those three pronged whatever they were out but another one stopped them holding out their hand and gesturing towards a pipe that was next to them. The one with the three prognged tools put them away as the other took out what looked like the shadow of a long thin blade and we see something swing down past the pipe and we see a thin blade for a moment before it's pulled back and returned to the shadow that offered with them putting it away.

While the Sewer King was laughing at Spider-Man and Goliath the pipes let out a straining sound and one of them dropped down on it's own which in turn made the others struggle to keep hold of his weight and he'd dropped down after they snapped into the water below with the Gators swarming him and the water then turning redwith only tattered pieces of his cloak floating to the top.

"Guess that's the last we'll ever see of him." Spider-Man stated about the Sewer King's end at his own pets no less.

"A gruesom fate, for a gruesom man." Goliath spoke and we finally see the kids being removed from the sewers by Goliath, Spider-Man, and the other local authority figures as well and Frog wanted to stay with with Goliath and Elisa.

"Well, we were discussing adoption." Elisa stated to Goliath about how they'd been talking about taking in a child in need which Frog Smiled at.
