The Front Lines: L.T. Season 01 Episode 04
We see that Peter was preparing to head out with Terry petting Ace and that his little brother Matt was also there. "Hey Matt, why don't you take Ace out back for a run?" He'd stated to his little brother.
"Cool, c'mon Ace let's go." Matt then responded leaving with the dog chasing him as they were going down the stairs.
"Alright, you're sure that's everything?" Peter questioned looking over at Terry while closing up his suitcase.
"Ya, I'm sure. Matt will be looking after Ace while I'm off doing Spider duties, and Mom will look after the two and the house while you're away on your meeting." Terry told them about watching over everything and his mentor nodded.
"Good. You won't be able to reach me for help with your patrols and stuff so it'll be up to you to figure things out on your own for now." His Mentor then stated to them with a nod and left in a cab instead of Terry driving him this time.
"Terry, there's a call for Mr. Parker. It sounds important." Terry's mother Mary had stated coming out with the communtications device.
"McGinnis, I'm filling in for Mr. Parker temporarily. What's going on?" He'd questioned answering the call. "What? Ya I'll be right there." He'd then hung up and turned back to his mom stating "Something has come up, keep Matt from messing with anything while I'm gone."
"Is it one of those jobs for Spider-Man to deal with?" His mother questioned about where he was going now.
"Maybe, but I'll have to go in as Terry to find out more." He then answered back and left using his motorcycle to ride off.
We then cut to later with Terry coming up to where a building had the plumbers and regular cops taking statements as well as photos of the evidence. He'd gone over to speak with the poliece caption that was also there at the time.
"Good evening Captain Stacy." Terry spoke greeting Captain Gwen Stacy, the former hero Ghost Spider. "What's this about a break in?"
"Someone's come in to steal something and trashed the computer systesm, and they left that behind. Ever seen something like it?" She'd stated gesturing to where a gun was pinned to a wall with a shuriken. "Don't touch or you'll contaminate the evidence trail."
"Right." He'd responded standing so that he could look at the two sides of the throwing star stating "No, I haven't. And Mr. Parker is unreachable at the moment."
"Well, you should head back now since there's not much more we can do besides try to find any new information." The Poliece Captain told him and with a sigh he'd left returning back to Peter's house since they'd be staying there while he was away.
When he'd gotten back Terry then began to head to where the entrance to be base down below was and his younger brother had come over asking "So, did you have to go all Spider-man on them?"
"First of all, I don't even know who they are yet I'm going down to investigate see if I can dig anything up. Secondly, no I havn't gon Spider-Man on anyone today.. Yet." Terry answered his little brother and moved the clock out of the way.
They'd gone down with Matt and Mary folloiwng seeing the base and being impressed by it. "Whoa, cool. Is this like, your Spider Cave or something?"
"Don't be rediculous Matt, this is The Nest." Terry answered back and began to do some digging on the design of the shuriken to see if anything comes up, but it appeared to just be generic ones you could by in the store. "Great, so that's a dead end. Guess my best bet is to head out."
"Neo York is a big city, how are you going to find this intruder?" Him mom questioned about what he was planning.
"The old fashioned way. Matt, take Ace and head upstairs. Mom, keep an eye on them. I'm heading out in Gossamer." He'd stated back and went to change.
They two were confused by hearing the name asking "Gossamer?" as he'd changed into his costume and went over to the high tech vehicle getting inside.
"This is Gossamer, now go on upstairs so I can head out." He'd told his mom and brother who then left the Nest going on upstairs.
Matt had discovered one of the big screen viewing devices and turned it on to see just how big impressed by it almost taking up the wall entirely stating "Schway."
Meanwhile Spider-Man had picked up a signal in Gossamer and jumped down finding a man there in a ninja costume who says. "Spider-Man. Business. Not. With. You. Leave or. Die." pausing after nearly every word confusing Spider-Man as to why he would speak like that.
"That's not happening." He'd told the ninja stating that he wasn't leaving and the two began to fight with the Ninja attacking and Terry using his Spider-Sense to dodge the oncoming attacks.
The Ninja used a smoke gun to fire purple gas at him, but thanks to the upgrades to his costume gasses weren't going to do anything to him anytime soon and they continued to battle. The Ninja continued attacking with the sword as Spider-Man dodged eventually having enough and grabbing it between his two open palms and bending the blade sideways until it was snapped off and one of the news vehicles had discovered them. This made the Ninja retreat for now using a smoke bomb to cover their escape.
Spider-Man sighed and left with Gossamer heading back to the nest and getting changed because he had to deal with the stuff that Peter would be doing right now because he was filling in as a part of preparing for the company world. He'd been in a tux as was Matt and he'd looked at his watch waiting for their mom who'd come out soon after Matt did.
"Remember this is a company event, no shinanigains Matt." Terry told his little brother as they'd left in Mr. Parker's car with Terry driving it.
"I got it, best behavior." Matt responded back waving off what they were saying while looking out the window to see where they were going.
"I'm serious, I'll web you to the cieling again if you don't." Terry then teased his little brother who looked horrified to hear that.
They'd gone into the building and met up with a woman who's hair was nearly white that was around the age of Terry's mom, along with a white haired man that was even older. Though things were slightly awkward they were happy to see them. "Felicia, it's nice to see you again." Terry's mother spoke breaking the awkward tension.
"Mary, it has been awhile." The nearly white haired woman spoke greeting Terry's mother having not seen them in a long time. "Dad, this is Terry, he's your grandson."
"Terry McGinnis, it's nice to finally meet you." Terry spoke to the old man offering his hand and the white haired man shook it.
"Walter Hardy." The man stated back in response while shaking Terry's hand. "It's nice to finally meet you too."
"Maybe you can help me out with a little something." Terry then stated to them and began to explain about his little problem and Walter and Felicia thought about it for a moment before making a suggestion.
Terry's Spider-Sense had gone off and he shoved his family, all of his family, out of the way before getting kicked in the back because he was more worried about them. He'd gotten up and the ninja grabbed something small on display and ran off with it. using his sword throwing it into the breaker box in the room killing the power before taking it and running off.
"Get out of here, it's time for me to go to work." Terry stated gesturing for them to escape with the other people running from the building because the sparking breaker box set off the sprinkler system. Once everyone was out he'd changed into costume and ran off after the ninja finding them on the roof. "Alright, time for round two. No escaping this time." He told them.
"Not. Running. Again." The ninja told him holding their sword ready to strike and charging forwards but Spider-Man stopped the blade again.
He'd jumped up and the ninja moved as they were preparing to be kicked but Spider-Man twisted in the air at the last second allowing him to snap the blade and catch the ninja off guard slamming his elbow into thier gut before they could react. The two then continued their fighting. The Ninja had grabbed Spider-Man around the neck tightly but he'd grabbed onto their arms and lifted them up slighlightly before jumping backwards slamming into the wall back first which meant the ninja was pressed between the wall and Spider-Man.
This made them let go and while they were disoriented he slammed his knee into their side sending them crashing into the pole of a water containment unit above the building. This caused it to snap and made the unit drop no longer being properly supposed crashing down on top of the ninja while spilling out over the roof.
The unit began to move being lifted into the air as it was pushed off of the ninja who called "Enough." putting the thing he'd snattched down on a bolted down table nearby. "Test. Over." They'd told him which confused Spider-Man.
"Test, what test?" He'd questioned confused as to what exactly they were talking about not getting what was going on.
The Ninja removed his mask revealing a damaged face'd individual that looked similar to that of Peter. "Kaine. Parker. Test." The man stated to him telling them his name. "You. Pass." This Kaine guy stated to them taking out something and let a projection of Peter Play.
"Hey Terry, if oyu're watching this then I'm still away at the moment. But congratulations, you've passed. The Front Lines voted to have you officially join but I wanted to make sure you were ready to go it without me before you did so. I asked Kaine to pose as a bad guy for you to face off again. Clearly he things you can handle the big leagues, he'll report it back to Albedo and the others. You'll officially start after he does so. Give them hell out there alright, show them just what a spider can do. Take care now, bye." The Projection of Peter stated about everything that was going on.
"Wait, so.. what's your relation to Peter again?" Terry questioned Kaine about how his last name was also Parker.
"Kaine. Clone. Peter. Orginal. Brother." Kaine answered back about how he shared the last name to Peter. "Kaine. Terry. Uncle." He'd then added showing that he knew about that whole situation. "Nephew. Grow up. Strong. Kaine. Happy."
"Uh.. thanks. Guess that's one more person to add to the family tree. Seriously a Spider's life is nuts." Terry then answered back removing his mask to talk with Kaine since there wasn't going to be any cameras where they were at the moment.
"Yes. Family. Very. Strange. But Good. Family. Good." Kaine answered back agreeing with Terry about just how weird their family was.
