A little bonus about the one week vacation when Klaus took Hayley to Aspen !
2012 – New Orleans !
"Freya !"
"Hello brother, what can I do for you ?" she asked.
"How long can you run the compagny without me ?" he asked back.
"Keep going !" she said, taking her eyes off her computer.
"Hayley !" he just replied.
"Oh !" she said. "Give me a minute !"
She grabbed her notebook, which looked more like a book, and searched for a few seconds. Klaus had to restrain himself from tapping his foot impatiently.
"Well, it'll be pretty quiet this week. I can handle the Committee meeting alone, but you'll have to be there for the one with the investors next week." she told him.
"A week. It's perfect !" he said.
He walked around the desk and hugged his sister, who had risen from her chair as he approached.
"Thank you Freya !" he said to her.
"Come on, I'll keep your business up until you get back." she told him. "Kiss Hayley for me."
"Count on me." he told her, pulling away. "You have the key to my office and the password to my computer if you need anything, and Genevieve will bring you whatever is supposed to arrive for me…"
"Go find your fiancée and enjoy this week's vacation." she cut him off. "You really need it."
"I would make it up to you." he told her, before kissing her on the cheek.
"I should hope so !" she laughed as he left his office.
There was nothing Freya wouldn't do for her family, let alone for this brother she loved so dearly. She would stop worrying about Klaus the day this girl who had been making his heart beat for so many years came home for good.
Klaus had packed up quickly, while warning a friend of his to prepare where he intended to take Hayley. The latter was waiting for him in the airport parking lot, where he had asked her.
"Come in !" he said, arriving at her height with his car.
She got into the vehicle and Klaus went through a private entrance, apparently without difficulty.
"Klaus, what are all these mysteries ?" she asked.
"You'll find out soon." he answered.
After two minutes, Hayley's eyes widened when she saw that he was entering a private track.
"Babe ?" she urged him.
Klaus parked in the warehouse.
"What is this plane ?" she asked.
"It's mine." he replied.
"Wh- what ?" Hayley stammered.
He got out of the car and was approached by an ebony man in black pants and a white shirt. Hayley got out of the car too.
"Mr. Mikaelson, we are ready to take off." he said to him. "We have had the material you requested recorded."
"Good, thank you Vincent !" Klaus said giving him the car keys. "The luggage is in the trunk."
Said Vincent motioned for a man to approach and together they took the luggage out of the trunk.
"Since when do you have a private jet ?" Hayley asked him.
"Not too long." he replied, approaching her.
"Where are you taking me ?" she asked.
"Somewhere where I own a chalet, a place where it snows and where you can ski." he explained while remaining mysterious about the destination.
"I want to know." she squealed.
He took her face in his hands and kissed her
"We are ready to go, sir !"
Klaus took Hayley's hand in his and led her to the plane. He made her get in, then sit down while greeting the co-pilot, as well as the hostess.
"Would you like to drink something during the flight ?" asked the hostess.
"Not now, thank you Sophie." Klaus said.
Hayley was already seated in the chair by the window. Klaus sat across from her.
"Do you mind if I take a nap ?" she asked. "The night was very short."
"Whose fault, huh ?" he smiles.
"Mine I know." she says.
"We are going to take off. Please fasten your seat belt." came the pilot's voice.
The couple bonded, and a few minutes later they were in the air. It didn't take long for Hayley to fall asleep. Klaus watched her sleep the entire flight. Nine years of coming and going. Nine years during which he had finished first in his class at Princeton, and he had started his own company with the help of his older sister. He knew she would leave after this week together, but for how much longer ? He didn't know how much longer he was going to last like this.
Aspen !
When the plane landed, Klaus woke Hayley, who stretched before following him out of the plane. The change in temperature was felt and she folded her arms around herself.
"Where are we ?" she asked.
"Klaus !"
The couple turned to a man in his early twenties, very cute, and curly black hair covered in a beanie.
"Josh, good to see you my friend." Klaus greeted him giving him a friendly hug.
"Welcome to Aspen !" the famous Josh greeted him.
"Aspen ?" Hayley repeated.
"Josh, this is my fiancée, Hayley." Klaus introduced them. "He's a longtime friend."
"Klaus and his friend Marcel helped me get out of a bad patch, and I wouldn't be here without them." explained Josh
"Nice to meet you." said Hayley, who continued to shiver.
"How's Aiden ?" asked Klaus.
"Good, thanks." replied Josh. "Business is going very well, we are very busy."
"I'm happy for you." Klaus said.
Josh handed him a bunch of keys.
"The house is ready." he said to him. "You have enough food for a whole week. I'll have the wine delivered to you in the evening. And there is wood ready for the fireplace."
"You're the best." Klaus said. "Can you dropping us off ?"
"Yes of course." Josh nodded.
"Sir !"
Klaus turned back to his pilot.
"All the things for your stay have been put in your friend's car." he informed him.
"Thank you Vincent !" Klaus said, shaking his hand. "Fill up if necessary, and come back on the agreed date."
"Very well sir !" said Vincent.
It took Josh a good hour's drive to get to the famous house that Klaus owned. Snuggled up against him, Hayley couldn't believe her eyes. The chalet in question was splendid. On two floors, it was accessed by a very beautiful climb of varnished wooden stairs. Getting out of the car, she forgot the cold for a moment and looked around her. She didn't even hear Klaus asking Josh to help him with the luggage. No, she took a step towards the house, then a second until she was in front of the stairwell. She brushed the pile of snow off one end of the railing and stroked the wood with her fingers.
"Honey ?"
She came to when she felt a small jolt on her shoulder.
"What ?" she said looking at Klaus.
"You've been standing there staring into space for ten minutes." he said to him. "You're not cold ?"
Yes, she would freeze to death. Her body was numb. Klaus took her hand and led her into the cabin. It only took him a few minutes to put wood in the fireplace and light a fire.
"Hmm, a good fireplace." Hayley reveled as she felt the warmth slowly diffuse through the house.
"Do you want to change ?" asked Klaus.
"Um, maybe we should get the luggage out of the car, right ?" she said, eliciting a chuckle from her fiancé. "What ?"
"We already took care of it with Josh, but you were a little out to realize it." he laughed.
"Sorry, but let's say I was a little surprised that you had a house like that." Hayley said.
"It's kind of thanks to you." he confided. "Even though you weren't with me, you were still there."
He put his hand on his heart.
"I wanted you to have all the comfort possible when you came back." he says.
Moved to tears, Hayley threw herself into his arms.
"I promise you won't be waiting much longer." she said taking his face in her hands. "I love you, and I will always love you, even without this comfort."
"I know !" he said stealing a kiss from her. "So you want to change and go for a walk ? Let's take advantage that it's not snowing. »
"It will wait until tomorrow." she says. "Show me around this beauty."
That's what he did ! Klaus showed her around the cabin. On the back terrace, there was a jacuzzi.
"Oh yes fantastic !" marveled the young woman, making her companion laugh. "Wait, why did you put it out ? We are in the middle of winter."
"Trust me." he said, pulling her into his arms.
"Would you have tried this hot tub without me, Mr. Mikaelson ?" she asked. "With who ?"
"With nobody." he said, smirking. "I only tried it once, I didn't like being there alone."
"Um, take me back inside." she whispered against his lips.
Instead of lifting her in his arms like he was used to, he bent down and swung her over his shoulder, causing her to cry out in astonishment.
"Klaus put me down." she laughed.
"No !" he replied, slapping her on the butt.
"Huh !" she said, biting her lip.
Warm again, Klaus set her down.
"You shouldn't have slapped me on the ass." she told him.
"Why not ?" he asked. "It was just a tiny slap."
"Because now I'm super horny." she said, throwing herself on his mouth. "Make love to me, now."
"Yes Madam !" he smiled as he picked her up in his arms.
He took her upstairs...
In the evening, after dinner, they were both settled on blankets in front of the fireplace, very scantily dressed and sipping a glass of white wine.
"This Aiden looks really nice." said Hayley, setting her glass down on the wooden floor to lie on her stomach.
"Yeah, he's a good guy." said Klaus, who was wearing only gray pants. "So, what do you want to do tomorrow ?"
"I let you decide the program for our week." she replied.
"Deal " he says.
He put down his glass of wine too before moving closer to Hayley, who he tilted on her back to stand above her.
"Since it's me who decides, I really want to make love to you, right now." he said, trapping her hands above her head.
"You make love to me when, where, and most importantly how you want." she said, closing her legs around him.
"Reassure me, we're not going to be interrupted by your…"
"No !" she cut him off, laughing. "Don't worry about that."
"Good !" he says. "You know I hate being nice when you're around."
"Same for me." she said, gazing into his. "Kiss me !"
Kissing her, he let go of her hands to run his down her body. Hayley slid hers down his back, pausing to pull down his pants, freeing the object of her lust. Making love with Klaus was more than a simple fuck. They were one in a way that they could feel each other's love through this sensual act. When the orgasm hit them, it was a real explosion. Their bodies were shaking against each other, as always.
"I'll never grow tired." Klaus whispered.
She silenced him with a kiss and reversed their places.
Two days passed, and Hayley woke up alone in the big bed in the cabin's master bedroom. After going through the bathroom, she wrapped herself in her bathrobe and went downstairs. The fire in the fireplace was out but the heaters in the house seemed to be on because she wasn't very cold. Going into the kitchen, she was making herself some breakfast when her phone rang. She took it out of her bathrobe pocket and picked it up.
"Freya, hi !"
"Hello Hayley ! It's been a while."
"You know you can call me whenever you want."
"I was coming for news. How's your vacation going with Nik ?"
"It's awesome. Yesterday we went for a walk and it ended in a snowball fight."
This admission made Freya laugh.
"I would have loved to see that."
"Yeah !"
"I have a meeting in an hour, I'll call Nik during the day to debrief him, if you don't mind. You can tell him ?"
"Yes of course, and no I don't mind."
"You will also tell him that his company is still standing and that… Genevieve, what are you doing in my brother's office ?"
"Who is that Genevieve ?"
"My brother's secretary who has her sights set on what's yours."
"What ?"
"I have to go, I'll settle this."
Hayley hung up, bewildered by what she had just learned. So her fiancé's secretary has her sights set on her man ? The door opened at the very moment when ideas were germinating in her head to get rid of this bitch.
"Good morning, angel !"
She turned to Klaus, who had just walked into the kitchen.
"So your secretary wants to put you in her bed ?" she explained.
"How do you know about that ?" he wondered, placing a bag on the counter.
"How did you not let me know ?" she asked.
"Because it doesn't matter. I would never cheat on you." he answered. "You're going to tell me how you know ?"
"Your sister just called me to check in and ask me to tell you she was going to call you for a debrief from a meeting, when she caught this bitch in your office." Hayley explained. "Has there ever been anything between you ?"
"Of course not !" Klaus replied. "Do you want me to fire her ? Because I will if ever it can relieve you."
He moved closer to her as he spoke. Knowing her outburst was unnecessary, Hayley relaxed.
"No, it's okay, unless it's a stupid secretary who does her job badly." she says.
"She does her job well." Klaus replied.
"Then you can leave her her job… except that when I finally return to New Orleans I will have a little chat with this young lady." she says.
"I know you will." he laughed. "Are you calm ?"
"Yes !" she replied.
"Good, because I've planned a ride for us… on a snowmobile." he told her. "I've never done that." she says.
"You'll come up behind me, and then you'll try." he assured her before kissing her. "I'll let you have your breakfast."
"Did you go shopping ?" she asked.
"Yes !" he says. "You remember, during our last year in high school, you came with us for the holidays, we all went to Switzerland."
"Yes, the best vacation of my life." she confessed. "I felt like I had a family."
"And, do you remember what we ate ?" he asked.
"Don't tell me we're going to have a cheese raclette." she said, suddenly excited as a child.
"Yes, I found everything I needed in town." smiled Klaus.
"Oh that's great !" she said throwing herself into his arms. "I also remember that Kol had stuffed himself that day."
At this memory, Klaus laughed. Yes, he remembered that too.
"I don't have the device, but Josh and Aiden do. I invited them to have dinner with us, do you mind ?" he asked.
"No I don't, it's a very good idea. I really want to meet them." she replied. "They can even spend the night here, there is plenty of space."
"I also offered it to them." he says. "How much do you love me ?"
"If I weren't hungry for food, I would devour you right now." she said stealing a kiss from him.
She made herself some bacon and eggs… and Klaus joined her with a cup of coffee in his hands.
In the evening, Hayley met Josh and Aiden. A couple of men with whom she got along very well. During the meal, she learned a lot about them, and about what Klaus and his best friend Marcel had done so that Josh could get a better life.
"I don't know where I would be without them, and I wouldn't have met the man of my life." Josh confided.
The way Aiden looked at Josh, reminded Hayley of the way Klaus looked at her. She turned her head towards him, and touched his cheek.
"I'm proud of him." she said without taking her eyes off him.
"What about you ?" Aiden asked. "We know that you left without breaking up, but how do you not go crazy ?"
"Let's say we have found a compromise." said Hayley, grabbing her beer bottle. "But it will be over soon."
"I hope so !" Klaus said.
"In addition, I have to deal with an overly ambitious secretary." Hayley confessed.
"I pity her !" joked Josh. "Once a guy flirted with me to the station, he kept coming back over and over again until Aiden made him backing off. I felt sorry for this poor guy."
"He wanted what's mine." Aiden reminded him.
"Cheers !" Hayley said, raising her beer. "To what belongs to us !"
Aiden followed suit and they clinked glasses, making their companions laugh.
"Question !" he said to her.
"I'm listening !" Hayley said.
"How is sex after all these long separations ?" asked the young man.
"It's awesome." she replied. "But he's always been good at it."
"Maybe we should try." Josh tried.
"In your dreams !" Aiden told him, causing everyone to giggle.
It was past one in the morning when they all went up to bed. Klaus showed Josh and Aiden the bedroom they would occupy for the night.
"Thank you for letting us stay." Josh said.
"Don't thank me." Klaus told him, before turning back to Hayley. "Alright, it's time for bed."
There, he leaned over and swung her over his shoulder, making her and the couple behind them laugh.
"We promise not to make too much noise." Klaus said, entering his room.
The door slammed as Hayley laughed. Aiden and Josh ended up going back to their own room. They were exhausted...
The rest of the week passed too quickly for Hayley, who the morning their departure, was sitting on the patio, a steaming cup of herbal tea in her hands to warm her up. This week spent with her future husband had been perfect, but she was going to miss it. She felt Klaus sit next to her, a cup of coffee in his hands.
"Promise me we'll come back." she told him.
"You just have to ask." he said to him.
New Orleans !
"Are you sure you don't want the plane to drop you off where you want ?" he asked.
"No !" she replied. "I only want to use this plane with you."
"All right !" he said.
Hayley got in the car and waited for Klaus to finish settling everything with his pilot, then took Hayley to the airport where she blocked her ticket to London.
"Don't forget, as soon as I get back your secretary will have to face me." she reminded him.
"I think Freya will prepare the champagne until then." he joked.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him, when her flight was called.
"See you soon my love. We will soon be reunited for good." she reassured him.
"I'm impatient." he said, kissing her. "I love you !"
"I love you !" she said, stealing one last kiss from him.
She moved away and sped to the boarding gate which will take her back to England…
