The Front Lines: L.T. Season 01 Episode 06
We see Spider-Man was already on mission swinging over to see a man in a costume that was half white and half black with a yen and yang symbol on their chest stating "est plan for global conquest shall disturb the equalibrium and for that you must be eliminated Blight." while looking over at a man who's skin would glow green with a black skeletion inside of it.
"Ya, so why am I here?" Someone with a gold lightning bolt on their costume then questioned as the two were dangling from a blanacing scale over a fire.
"Ah static. The answer is to keep everything equal of course. If I eliminate a black pawn a white pawn must go too." The person stated to them. "It's an essental part of my quest to bring the world into complete balance."
"That's funny, considering you sound like the most unbalance nut I've ever met." Spider-Man called out getting their attention.
"Spider-Man. Your arrival has offset my beautiful equipoise." The man stated pushing a button with his foot that made the scales start to move downwards towards the flames. "You only have time to save one of them Spider-Man, which will it be? Good, or Evil?"
Spider-Man jumpd down onto the scale which caused it to stop while this mysterious person was leaving. "How'd you know that would work?" Static questioned while Spider-Man used one of the spikes on his costume to slice through the ropes around them.
"I had a hunch, anyone that obsessed with balance wouldn't let the scales fall unevenly. Let's go." He'd answered back helping Static up.
The two had taken off leaving Blight behind as they chased this crazy guy while he was escaping while calling "Two against one? Hardly a fair fight. But perhaps the hand of fate will restore balance." They'd stated continuing to run.
"This guy's completely off his rocker." Static stated while the two continued to chase after them across the rooftops.
"Of his meds more likely." Spider-Man stated and Static tried to zap the guy with his powers to try to stop them.
The guy in the black and white costume however had jumped off a roof landing on his feet in the alley below. Looking up at them with the white part of his costume hiddein in the buildin's shadow and the black part standing in the light he then says "Not to worry, when the time is right you will once again meet Equinox." before running off in an alleyway and Static blasted electricity down at the shadows lighting up the place but the guy was long gone already.
Cutting to later at the base they'd made the report about what happened and Phantom Hawk had come in stating "Look sharp, we got a mission helping out an old friend of the Tennyson family."
They'd sighed and nodded going over to the long range teleportation device that was built recently and were sent off being dropped in the sky. "Guess we've been dropped in the middle of a fire fight." The Wallcrawler stated using his cape as a means to fly alongside the thrusters in the bottom of his costume's boots.
Static had used his Saucer to fly and Phantom Hawk could fly by himself so they'd continued on joining up with someone using a jetpack who's body was coated in metal. "I take it you three are the backup Albedo sent?"
"Ya, that's right. This is Static, and Spider-Man. I'm Phantom Hawk." The Half Ghost Thanagarian Hybrid stated to them.
"I'm Kevin Levin, and here's my wife Runa right on time." The man, Kevin, stated introducing himself to the group as a woman pulled a hovercraft over to them and they'd all landed inside flying off to a city.
"This is Ranagar, the jewel of Saturn." Runa stated as she drove them further into the citry and over towards the main tower.
We then see them going into a room as a girl around the age of Terry, maybe slightly older, had come over to greet them stating "Mom, Dad, I'm glad you're both safe." and an old man had also come along too.
"Father, these are the heroes of earth that Albedo has sent to help us out." Runa spoke introducing them to the old man. "This is Spider-Man, Static, and Phantom Hawk. Everyone this is my father Jarlan leader of the Saturn Colony."
An ugly looking alien man with a horned helmet appears on a screen calling "People of Ranagar, this conflict is at an end. Surrender now, and we will show mercy."
"Anniahlation is preferable to any mercy we may recieve under Gordanian occupation General Kreegaar!" The girl around Terry's age spoke defiantly.
"Leena is right, you will not get us to surrender." Kevin stated defiantly as well walking over to stand beside his and Runa's daughter.
"Then you shall have your wish Kevin Levin, champion of Ranagar." The man named Kreegaar stated before showing them new feed. "Behold, and Gaze upon your doom!" he'd stated as a machine had started making it's way to there.
"A gordanian battle tripod, Ranagar doesn't have a defense against that." Jarlan stated about what's going on now.
"Well then, I guess we're doomed." Spider-Man stated not taking the situation seriously at all walking over to the window watching the tripod.
"We might as well still go out in a blaze of glory at the very least." Static then spoke mimicking the same tone that Spider-Man had.
"My thought's exactly. Better to die in battle then to sit and wait to perish." Phantom Hawk also spoke the exact same way as he'd gone over to them.
The three then looked at the tripod before then over at the citizens that were in the tower before finally back at each other before all then then stated "Nah." and then took off together heading out the door and over towards the cruiser.
"Of course they gotta be melodramatic. Reminds me of my time with Ben." Kevin sighed about how they'd acted before then looking up to watch the show.
Phantom Hawk phased the three of them into the hull of the tripod and they'd started fighting the Gordanians, Phantom hawk and Spider-Man took care of Kreegar and his goons easily able to outclass them especially since one has a Spider Sense and the other was a half ghost thanagarian hybrid and he'd blasted them point blank with a ghost ray from his hands knocking them out of the way.
Static meanwhile had zapped the controls of the tripod causing it to start to malfunction going haywire and the Gordanians chose that moment to escape as the tripod had blown. Thankfully Phantom Hawk made the three of them entangible so the explosion wouldn't affect them and then they'd flown off back to the base.
We see Kevin working on a console stating "The Gordanians invaded not too long ago, the problem is Kook won't come out until Razzle wakes up from their hybernation. That should be sometime today. We just gotta hold them off until then."
"Kook is a Lepidopteran who's pet Razzle is an Obdurian Wurm." Leena stated to them about why they were only holding them off for now.
"Obdurian Wurms are a force of nature when fully grown, to have one on your side would be incredibly impressive." Phantom Hawk stated about who they were referring to.
"Head's up, we got more incoming." Runa stated as four more tripods were beginning to head their way.
"There's four now, one for each of us." Kevin stated about taking down the rest of the Tripods that were en route.
"I wanna go too." Leena stated to her dad about joining them in a fight while absorbing the metal of one of the walls to make a coting like the one he had earlier.
"No, if anything happens to me, then it'll be up to you to hold the line until Razzle finally wakes." He'd responded to his daughter wanting to go help out too.
"Break a leg out there." Runa stated to the group as Kevin had thrown on a jetpack to be able to get to where he wanted to go. "Or several while you're at it."
The guys all laughed and nodded before taking off to handle the situation. Spider-Man dropped onto the first one with Static on the second. Phantom Hawk went in on the third and Kevin dropped onto the fourth and they started using their powers to get in, zapping the locks, bust them after absorbing the metal of the tripod, and phasing through.
Spider-Man had slammed his fist down onto the metal hatch putting a decent dent into it before drawing his hand away calling "FUCK!" and holding his damaged fist. "Way stronger than what I'm used to." He'd then stated before slamming his fist against it again managing to break through this time, though barely. He then began to force the hole to get bigger by pushing the sides of the hole he'd made with his hands struggling to do so and then jumped down starting to fight his way through.
Static meanwhile had zapped the Gordanians and their ship's controls before flying back out using his saucer since it was about to blow and the enemy group memebers all ditched immediately because it was about to blow.
Phantom Hawk had torn through it all and made them have to ditch as he phased back out of the tripod.
Kevin had beaten up everyone and destroyed the consols making them have to ditch as well as he bashed his way out again.
Spider-Man finally managed to take down the consoles of the stupid thing and also got out of there while he could and the for pods had blown. However even more pods then appeared ready to take their place and Static calls "Jeeze, this is gonna take all day, anyone got any ideas?"
"I got one, but I don't like it. Everyone cover your ears and get behind me." Phantom Hawk told them taking a deep breath.
They'd all immediately went to get a few feet behind him as he then unleashed energy waves that had a strange wailing sound at the same time and it knocked all the pods back. Something then started to cause the ground to shake violently as a large sinkhole had swallowed up all the pods and out came the massive form of a worm with what looked like one of Stinkfly's species riding atop them laughing wildly.
"Finally, it's about time they woke up." Kevin stated indicating that this was what they were needing help to wait for. When the remainder Gordanians had seen the massive Wurm they'd immediatly turned tail and ran back to their ships flying away since that thing was a predator on their planet.
"Well, now that that's over, how do we get home? My little brother's gonna flip hearing about this adventure." Spider-Man stated asing how they were supposed to get home now.
